This place is just unreal. The music, and lights are surreal. I would highly recommend going there. Buy tickets online before going because they have certain time slots you can get the ticket for, and if you just show up, you may have to wait hours for your time slot. Allow yourself at least 3 hours to walk around and take it in. There are lots of exhibits that are kind of hidden that we found by accident, so make sure you check every little door or curtain, and look online to see what the exhibits are to ensure you didn't miss any.

To be honest...not really my thing... but that being said. I like how they took a boring thing like art and brought it to the digital age...plus it really wasn't bad so long as you don't stand in any of the lines for a room that you only get to stay in for like a minute.

Nothing more than a bunch of projectors playing pre-made videos along with music. Cheap tricks but get charged an unreasonable amount. You ll have a better time riding the outdoor monorail.

A must do if you are visiting Tokyo, Im not usually a fan of the Art display genres but this was different many rooms to explore with many different experiences in each room. Lots of things to look at and an overall fun experience. Its great for the whole family of all ages, and lots of Instagramable places to take pictures. Its definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend going early and buying your tickets before hand as it gets very busy even on weekdays.

This is an amazing experience and a beautiful museum. Be sure to buy your tickets online before hand as they tend to sell out. It's a little complicated to find on the GPS, however we finally found it. The other downfall is you cant use gimbals to record. For example a gopro gimbal for stabilization motion you cant use which was a bit frustrating as a photographer and videographer it's hard to get stabilization perfect. However this is an absolutely amazing place to bring your kids, girlfriends, or even yourself. The art is interactive, theres many exhibits, as well as a tea cafe.

When you're walking around you can put your hands on the characters and they turn and look at you.

They also have a trampoline, where you jump on it and it looks like space exploding kinda like a galaxy.

They have this dome, somewhat like a planetarium (called goose nest or water nest I think?), and you watch a sky show while laying down in this huge net holding you. Also, if the line is super long it's definitely NOT worth the wait.

They also have this rock climbing thing, where you climb across, trying to stick with one color and it makes sound when you stick on that color. Its pretty neat, especially if you have kids.

They have these big ball things, they're fun to run around as they light up. If you're in America and ever watched Wipeout it kind of reminds you of that.

They have an interactive city, where you move a house on the map the entire map adjust. Which is super neat to see.

They have a slide, which is nice for the toddlers.

Overall it's a great experience.

Really busy during late morning afternoon but amazing time getting lost in the lights! For those visiting for the first time, there is an interective section upstairs of trampoline jumping and pole climbing! Plus an interactive tea room to enjoy your green tea (you need to pay) and watch the flower bloom in yor cup. For the ladies going and you are wearing a short skirt, i recomend you wear shorts underneath as the floor has mirrors on certain rooms! (Waterfall photo attached was around 11am and it wasn't that busy for your IG photo BUT recently my friends went around that time and it was rammed. So for you influencers on the gram you can judge the time to attend but 12pm onwards the queue outside is crazy )

Worth every penny. Very very very creative thinking and execution of analog and digital to create a place where you, kids can experience art become part of the art. Ever evolving experience, right in front of your eyes.

Worth visiting once despite the high price. I went on a weekday in the evening but still had to stand in line to view some of the works. I am assuming that this place will be bursting with people on weekends and definitely do not recommend it but if that is your only option, try to get here as early as you can (like all similar attractions in Japan).

The first floor after the entrance is probably more interesting than the other floors on the top which looks like it has been designed mainly for kids/families. Some of the works are breathtaking (the flower forest with fragrances, crystal world, grid spaces etc.) and there are some not so interesting (Topography, Black waves). The room with lanterns is amazingly beautiful to look at but there is a strict time limit which was a bit disappointing.

Wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot inside and will need sneakers for the Exercise forest on the top floor. Sneakers are available inside the building also (free). Put your bags in the lockers at the entrance for a hands-free experience (of course it would be a sin to forget your camera!).

They warn you at the entrance that it is very dark inside and easy to get lost inside due to the absence of maps/routes but that is slightly exaggerated for me. You will be fine after your eyes adjust to the lower levels of light inside in a few minutes or so.

I spent 2 hours here but 3 would have been ideal. (There was no waiting time at the entrance for me at 1900 on Wednesday evening but from what I have heard, it can take an hour to get inside on the weekends).
I am not sure if I will visit this place again but would definitely recommend everyone to see this once if they can.

Excellent place. Must see for individuals or family. Great experience. I have been there with 1year old child and he also enjoyed and even cry when we left some rooms. You need 2hours or more to enjoy all rooms.

I did it in my last day and honestly I had a great time. Check out the tea room, very cool experience

Oh my goodness. You will never view an art museum the same way ever again. Just make sure to buy tickets in advance, and prepare for many other people also seeking such an amazing experience.

Like Burning Man gone mainstream, all digital, and set to music.

Excellent display of electric, light, and sound engineering. teamLab Borderless takes you away to different worlds of unimaginable moving art and mind-bending light shows. You have to see it for yourself. Pictures and videos simply do not do it justice.

Amazing experience. Words don't do justice to the visuals or the atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting the tea house, it made for a relaxing break as well as an added bonus exhibit that was extremely fun.

The experience was really cool. I would suggest to go early if you want to take some great picture as this place gets crowded afterwards. Skip the tea room or save your money, there is nothing special.

The queue to get in looks long but it moves quickly. We skipped the floating nest due to a one hour wait to get into that room. The crystal room with the LED lights was amazing and definitely a highlight!!

Borderless is certainly cool. However I found it a much worse experience than teamLab Planets, about a mile away. The biggest issue is lines, you have to wait in line to get in, and there are long lines inside for the most popular rooms. Planets on the other hand was a seamless experience and I can only recommend this if you've already seen or can't see Planets.

Incredible experience, one that you'll not soon forget.
If you're in Tokyo for any length of time this on the must do list.
It's better to go early as you can spend a few hours just wandering around the exhibition, and it will leave time to explore the very interesting Odaiba area!
Can't recommend highly enough.

It was very interesting. The whole family can enough. You definitely want to get there early and line up. Earlier you get there and enter, the less people there will be.

Make sure you get to all the room including the upstairs. A lot to overlook there.

UPSTAIRS- Make sure you wear flat shoes or they will make you where slippers. (You will be walking on a cushioned floor)

Stomp on the insects on the floor too, they will explode.

Also have the kids draw their own sea creatures and they can watch them turn to real and swim on the walls.

Simply incredible. Amazing scale, beautiful experiences. It's so big and free-roaming that I physically failed to find everything, and I still spent ~2 hours there. You simply must go to this (and their nearby precursor, teamLab Planets).

This is a must see for a visit to Tokyo. Words can't express this experience, I was brought to tears a couple of times. The innovation, beauty, and interaction was worth every penny. Be sure to buy tickets several days before hand online through the website.

It's amazing! I never expect the combination of technology and visual art could bring such fascinating experience. My 5-year-old boy was impressed by the interactive projection on the wall. Although there's long queue outside Floating Nest, but it's worth waiting for.

You don't need me to tell you anything in addition to what must be amazing other reviews. Just go! It's important to look to book in advance on their website during busy/ holiday periods. One recommendation might be too try to go on what might be less busy days (weekdays, not public holidays) to get a bit more 'me' time inside with the art.

Overhyped. The artists made a great job but the image definition is still not good enough. Most of it is targeted for kids. There are 50min waiting lines outside but also inside. The worst is having too much people around. Maybe they should consider accepting less people at a time. I kinda regret having paid so much not to enjoy it properly, thus the 3 stars.

Great experience. Be ready to spend a whole day here. Be warned that this is a light museum so the whole experience will be in the dark which may cause stress to the eyes, but rest assured as there are rest places you can go to and the lights are legitimately so amazing you won't mind.

There are many different types of attractions here from visual to interactive. Including two toddler rooms if you have a little one. However, make sure to bring a baby carrier as baby strollers aren't allowed.

Overall would recommend to everyone. Even people who are not particularly into museums. This one totally feels different.

Amazing place. For whole family if with kids but also, in my case, for just a couple. Interactive and full of wonders. No spoilers but it's really worth the visit. Queuing can be quite long so better come early. It gets crowded inside too but it's well arranged so that one does not really feel like it.

Altough it is an unique digital museum, you better lower your expectations...i had a much better experience going at the temporary exhibition than the actual permanent one. They ve lost the whole concept of zen space and went to full disneyland long lines in a smaller place concept. No fair warning, at Dysney parks they at least give you the line details and specific attraction tickets. Besides, one or two installations were out of order. also, they definitely oversell the tickets. And that part is dangerous, because if a fire would start over there, many wouldn t make it out.
My final consideration: Go there if you are really curious and if it is your first teamlab visitation, but, you best arrive before it opens, the crowd will keep building up until you are squeezed out of the museum. think twice before bringing babies, elders or people with disabilities, keep in mind that this is an amusement park without the proper infrastructure. i have no problems with long lines, this is Tokyo, but the production should manage it properly, not overselling would be a good start.

It was like watching the laser show at SciFest Africa, but blown up 100x. Reminded me what I love about science, and scientists and their desire to convey their awe of the universe to inspire others and the next generation. Prepare at least 3 hours to enjoy fully. Beware if light sensitive.

It s a really nice museum . Super crowded. Some exhibits are 10/10, others not so much. Absolutely worth visiting. Bring a good camera and a full battery . Nearest station: Tokyo teleport. Rinkei line. (Can t use JR PASS)

A very unique and enjoyable experience. Slightly tourist trappy but still well worth a visit.

There is no strict path and wandering around and exploring are encouraged. The light and sound shows blew my mind and left me with chills. While some of the light rooms were spectacular.

Definitely a great place to get a good picture but also well worth putting the phone away and just taking it all in as no photo will do it justice.

The active forest is a great addition for kids but still enjoyable for the kids at heart.

Getting there early will lessen the chances of waiting in a very long line but the place gets busy very fast, even right on open.

Great experience! We needed to book the tickets before travelling to Japan because we heard that the museum is always packed. We arrive there around 11am and there was already a long queue to wait ( around an hour) even though we had purchased the tickets in advance. Once inside, the atmosphere is great and very original. Just again a bit of queue to visit the nicest attractions. It does not get the 5 stats only because of the amount of people which get the whole experience a bit tiring and slow.

One of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. However, it is very busy. We had bought timed tickets in advance, and still had to stand in a line for almost an hour to get in. inside there were some rooms that also had lines to get into them. I'm not sure how to avoid this. Maybe coming first thing? Arriving extra early? I would hope with timed tickets this could be avoided. But all that being said, we still felt it was worth it. When we arrived we had to lock up our bags, but was able to bring my camera in with me. The art if moving all around you, and you get to engage with it. It was incredibly. I wish I had a map or checklist - hard to know what we missed during our 4 hours there. But would definitely go back again. Highly recommend.

Honestly wish I loved this place more. Concept is cool, and it's great for IG posts. However, there's not much to do, lack of space utilized, and you have to wait in 30-60 minute lines just to see a room for one minute before you get kicked out to let the next group in. Considering the concept of this place is grand, the execution is lackluster.

I was lucky enough to have Japanese friends who told me about teamLab Borderless.
I've never experienced anything like that, it's hard to describe and take a picture. You should defenetly come and have a look for yourselfe.

Came here as a curious visitor and left amazed!! As a long time Entertainment Technician I was taken by the beautiful projections, interactive video and the depth of creativity that flows through this massive space!

As you move through the rooms you start to notice how much you and those around can become a part of the living art. One of my favorites is the mirrored room with color change lights hung at varying heights to create a really cool "surrounded" effect!

Please stop by if you are in the area, trains are easy to navigate and we got here from Chiba this way. You won't be disappointed with a nice bounce on the galaxy trampoline!!

Don't miss a short walk from here to the giant Unicom Gundam!

Kept the interest of 3 generations. Make sure you allocate enough time to check everything out. Some exihibits had quick light movements, carful if this makes you naseous, there is no warning and it's not blocked off. Lots of physical things and art things to do and view.

You'd think that this might just be one of those fancy light shows. Well it is but Team Lab Borderless is more than that. Imagine the elements of water and earth surrounding you, flowers on your path and fishes swimming around you. Imagine that balloons are blown way way bigger, waiting to play with you. Imagine the stars dancing around you while you swing in space. Imagine all that and more placed altogether inside a box, that is Team Lab Borderless. I highly recommend this place for the young and young at heart. Just make sure you don't bring a tripod or selfie with you and girls, avoid wearing heels!!

This is ok, especially for kids. They should probably separate different entry time, the park open from 10:00 but even with reserved ticket on week days there was one hour of queue at 11:00 just to enter.
