One of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. However, it is very busy. We had bought timed tickets in advance, and still had to stand in a line for almost an hour to get in. inside there were some rooms that also had lines to get into them. I'm not sure how to avoid this. Maybe coming first thing? Arriving extra early? I would hope with timed tickets this could be avoided. But all that being said, we still felt it was worth it. When we arrived we had to lock up our bags, but was able to bring my camera in with me. The art if moving all around you, and you get to engage with it. It was incredibly. I wish I had a map or checklist - hard to know what we missed during our 4 hours there. But would definitely go back again. Highly recommend.
