An exhibition based on crowd interaction that is ironically ruined by the crowds. I didn't even see the whole exhibition because some parts had huge queues that I was not bothered to wait in. It's basically just filled with girls taking selfies for their Instagram and or having their boyfriends take pictures of them for their Instagram. It would be a great exhibition if you were alone....and maybe tripping on acid.

Oh my god, it's an amazing place. I got crazy the moment I stepped in.
Must must must watch !
Do book your tickets online and art studio borderless is one of the best art studio.
Just go and enjoy . Take pictures. Try to wear comfortable shoes during visit . Do take water bottle along.
And it will atleast take almost 3 hours.
For kids, it's also a big fun place.
Remember to arrive early else waiting time will be very long.

Great, immersive digital art experience. The exhibit is pretty big and there s several rooms to explore. You have to line up for many of the rooms and mah have a limited amount of time for pictures before the next group goes in. You can easily spend a few hours here (we did!) - wear comfortable shoes!

Loved team lab. It is chaotic to get in, but once inside, there are tons of exhibits and rooms to explore. We went early and it was less crowded so we could take some unobstructed photos. I'd suggest eating a fairly decent meal before going in - we spent about 4 hours just wandering and didn't realize how hungry we were until we left! Also ladies - don't wear skirts or dresses as some of the floor exhibits have mirrors

This place is amazing, you have to go once, they push the limit of what can be done with lights and projectors over a huge area.
Their rooms are different and unique, and it blows your mind how I interactive and beautiful it is.
It's a great place for dates and for kids specifically the kids rooms are so creative and fun

Great experience of digital art without borders at teamLab Borderless in Tokyo. Sheer volume of people and queuing for certain areas is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars for this activity. Good for families of all ages with Athlete Forest on the second floor providing areas for all age groups. Go early if you want a less busy visit. Book tickets online in advance to save extra ticket line queuing.

A very fun and enjoyable place to go and spend sometime by yourself or with your loved ones .. I enjoyed the light shows in each room but not as much as I enjoyed the TeamLab Planet. It is a little different but in this one I particularly enjoyed the athletic jungle where you get to play and do physical activities.

I think this was actually the highlight of my visit to Japan. It is quite amazing what they have done here. I highly recommend everyone to come here. It is fun for everyone from the age of 4 to the age of 90.
I don't want to spoil anythingbur just do it, it's worth it.

Didn t find this special at all. They have a few light installations and other features. Nice but the novelty wears off quickly. Also a little pricey for what you re getting. Just as a precaution: there are two similarly named buildings/locations (quite a commute apart), don t make the same mistake and go to the wrong one.

We had a wonderful time visiting this place . A little bit crowded at times but overall it was a nice experience.

-tips for all people whose planning to visit teamlab boarderless in the future please buy tickets online ahead of time , coz the walk-in ticket sales can be limited specially in peak seasons. Online tickets booked ahead of time is a sure way you can entry the museum without the time restrictions .

Don t bother going. It s way too busy and the experience suffers because of it. I prepurchased a ticket but still had to line up outside in the pouring rain for over an hour just to get inside. Then once in the building, more queues just to enter the exhibit spaces. Then once inside an exhibit space, you are only given a few minutes to take it in before being ushered out the door. They are certainly cashing in on the popularity, but there is a limit on how much people will put up with.

TeamLab Borderless is truly a borderless experienc...

TeamLab Borderless is truly a borderless experience. Unparalleled in digital art exhibitions, this place is crowded with tourists from all over the world. The concept is simple, living art that can move from one room to another, a borderless space for the living art. And it is such a beautiful space.

They are located in Odaiba, Tokyo, right next to the big observation wheel that you can spot from faraway. There will be a line, this I can promise, it took me 1 hour to line up to the entrance. Their price is exactly the same as TeamLab Planets, 3,200 yen. A great price for a 5 hour fun inside this huge warehouse.

When you go in there, you will be able to move around as you like, since there is no process on where to go from one art installation to the next, it s just one big art warehouse that you can enjoy. This place consisted of 2 walkable floors, the 1st one on which you will find the entrance, and the 2nd floor on which you will find many children interactive art exhibitions.

The entrance will bring you to either the waterfall room or the butterfly room, they are connected but not right away. You will be immersed in the floral projection pattern immediately and will find yourself lost in the middle of it all. If you follow along the path sooner or later you will find hidden areas that host different art installations. On the 1st floor you can find the hanging garden of which there will be a line to it, the lighting room, the infinity led room, the swallow forest, the glass mirror room, the open cave where a projected bird roam around freely, the indoor pixels art, and others. I actually found some rooms completely by accident and could not find them again afterwards.

On the 2nd floor you will be able to enjoy the charming future park world that are geared towards younger audience. Wonderful exhibitions such as the sketch aquarium, balloon room, the wonderful tea room (tea in extra cost), the open park with trampoline and sketch animal, the block roads exhibition, the kids playground area, the climbing forest, and many more.

I have no doubt that you ll get overwhelmed with how much interactivity you can get out of this projector jungle. They boast having more than 570 projectors and computers on this one warehouse. And it is glorious!

You will find many people hang around a well lit area right next to the toilet around the warehouse, because that s the only place with vending machine if you find yourself thirsty. Or you can try the relaxing tea room for an extra cost which I highly recommend.

Overall, this place is huge and extraordinary, it represents what imagination can achieve if we bring another depth into our living art, the interaction and relationship that bloom from our 5 senses. It s well worth the price to visit this space, and I highly recommend visiting after lunch or after breakfast since you will be spending some time in here.

I love this place!!! We spent 4 hours there and it was not enough. I would highly recommend to go very early during the weekdays and line up at the special exhibition first, there are 2 and the line can get very long. Regardless of seeing special exhibition or not you'll not be disappointed. There's a lot of rooms so make sure to see everything. There's also upstairs open area, not to get confused with the special exhibition. The room upstairs are for both adult and kids. The lighted projected is interactive. If you touched the butterfly or stepped on the lizard it will either withered away or exploded into blossom flowers.

teamLab Borderless did a great job with their presentation on what they tried to show. The staff was great. No complaints there, lines were good and so on. The reason this didnt get a perfect rating is for two reasons. We all know this is a hot tourist attraction. How to get to the building isn't stated very clearly. You need to walk into pallet town and go through Toyota's little shop just to find the building. We spent 20 minutes trying to find it based on Google maps. Lastly was not being able to bring a gopro in. Many people were allowed to bring a gopro but because we have a stabilization stick we were denied. This would've made it a 3 star, but the lockers are free and since the staff was nice overall it stays at a 4. It's a great place to see, but if you're on a tight budget there may be better things to do.

Really enjoyed paying 3400 yen to watch the new Nokia Screensaver exhibition! Loved the low frame rate projected videos. I'm glad almost none of it was interactive (would have taken me out of the nokia-screensaver 2004 aesthetic).

Art that makes you think... also a really good place to take pics for tinder. Make sure to bring water!!!! You will get very nauseous from the moving images (think a high school disco or art show on crack!) But this is all part of the artistic journey. Enjoy!

This place is amazing. A good place to see digital technology. You can also bring children and see the nice laser and light presentation. But watch out also because it is too dark inside.

The light effects are so good that you won t stop taking photos.

There are several section with different lights digital effects.

Make sure your camera or smartphone is fully charged when you plan coming here.

No flash camera photography is allowed.

I have a negative comment on this place.

THIS PLACE IS NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY!!!

If you have disability think twice before getting inside. If you have difficulty standing for more than 10 minutes, let this be a warning.

This is my first experience for a very not handicap friendly place here in Japan.

Big queues and big crowds but totally worth it - particularly if you have a rainy day in Tokyo to use up! Big queues for the instagramable spots but found the audio visual experiences more powerful - and definitely try the tea ;)

Good introduction for newbies to immersive media art. For those who have seen a lot of media art, you probably won't be blown away, but the infinity rooms and the motorized light installation are impressive.

A very unique light display that pushes the boundaries of imagination. I particularly liked the main waterfall and the room with hanging lines of lights. As an inexpensive experience it was definitely worth more than what we paid. It also has a kids section where you can draw your own character and then have it come to life in the display - which all the kids seemed wrapped about!

Amazing experience. Will recommend to visit this place. Not recommend you to visit on weekends or holidays to avoid crowd. Should keep 3-4 hours to enjoy the place. Recommend to visit before noon also. Place is amazing with lot of attraction. There is no guide map available so better keep looking on Google for what all halls/attraction you visited. 5-6 halls are there to visit.

This is a very interesting series of sometimes interactive immersive exhibits. We'd think we were done and then wander into a new experience. I'd suggest going as soon as it opens as it does get crowded.

Amazing. I don't even think I can describe how cool this was. I wanted to stay there forever and just take everything in. I wouldn't recommend it for people with small children because I think it would be rather easy to lose them. But other than that it was amazing, if you are thinking about going definitely a good rainy day (or any day) activity.

It's a nice experience to interact with lights but it can get too crowded that you can't fully enjoy or appreciate the light projections at times. Also quite difficult to get to this area.

Coming here as a foreigner & tourist has brought me here to take these amazing photos. This place represents the sense of Japanese modern technology. I was completely amazed by lights, projectors, and graphics. There was so much detail to look for and it made me end up staying here for more than a few hours. The lines for certain expositions were not too long and everything in there is worth the wait. Thinking about visiting here again!

Fantastic in general but the best sights have prohibitively long waits. We went at 12 on a weekday and from twelve to 3 when we left the nest had an hour wait. If you want to do everything either come well before noon even on a weekday or be prepared to be there for five hours.

The exhibit is cool but they completely oversell the venue. You wait 50min to get in and then when you get in there are lines upwards of an hour to see the better displays. It s ridiculous. The fact that you preorder a ticket but then anyone can just go and buy a ticket at the physical location makes no sense at all. Overall a poor experience. Good luck getting a pic without another person in it

The art and exhibits are amazing, only thing I wish I knew before hand, is that there are kids everywhere! This unfortunately ruined the experience for me, as I was expecting a calm museum of interesting art. In various areas, kids are running around without parent supervision and the parents are constantly yelling out their kids names to try and find them. Not the fault of TeamLab, but maybe set aside certain days and times for adults only. Still giving a good rating because parents controlling their children, isn t a TeamLab problem.

Except for the crowds and long waiting hours to see the lantern art, this place is a dream Land.. Never miss this if you are in Tokyo.. Everyone will love it no matter what your age is..

Great digital arm museum, but lines can sometimes be long, so keep that in mind. You can do it in 1-3 hours depending on whether you line up to enter some of the other rooms and areas inside.

The term "tripping the light fantastic" never made any sense to me until I paid a visit to this teamLab Borderless lightshow. If you've ever wondered what a cow with no lips sounds like you will find out here (it's "ooo").

The exhibition is worth to visit. Make sure you have launch before you enter the musuem since you will spend lot of time there ~4hr and no food shop available inside. Becareful if you exit the musuem you can't re enter again.

Great digital art exhibition - went to a different Teamlab one a couple of years ago and the installation was absolutely stunning. But the experience this time was way too crowded to be enjoyable.

The moving artwork was beyond another level of amazement and beauty. There were showcase rooms where you lined up, a galactic trampoline, rock climbing poles, drawing areas, and much more activities to perform while visiting the area.

Wonderful morning exploring this exhibition. It s absolutely huge and so much to see (also a great photo opportunity). Definitely head there as early as possible - by the time we were leaving it was heaving and huge queues for all the rooms. (We arrived around 11 and left by 1.30pm - I wouldn t recommend going any later than that.)

Caution! Ensure you buy tickets to the correct place. My partner managed to purchase tickets to Teamlabs Planets as opposed to Teamlabs Borderless. This resulted in us having to purchase new tickets upon arrival. This was obviously our own fault but the mistake can easily be made so just double check prior to booking.

The exhibition itself was a little underwhelming. It is full of individuals trying to get the perfect Instagram shot as opposed to just enjoying the exhibits. The Forest of Lamps was a personal highlight.

There are free lockers available for your belongings. I also recommend wearing flat shoes as some of the rooms require flat footwear (however, slippers are available if you happen to forget flats).

Prior to visiting, visit their website for location instructions as the address on Google Maps is incorrect. It is quite out of the way in comparison to the other main tourist attractions of Tokyo. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend unless you have an abundance of time in Tokyo.

Had a really great time in these immersive works. Everyone is, of course, taking photos but there are always those who take it a little too far at these things - can be distracting at times. Try to turn off the phone at some times and enjoy :) also recommend reading the description for each piece

Pretty cool even with the crowds. The long wait for the lantern room is worth it. But just a heads up I think overall the photos of the place are more impressive than actually when you're walking through. So definitely worth going to get some cool pictures

Loved it, a really different experience where the walls come alive with light and nothing seems to every follow a pattern. I recommend the tea, I have no idea how it worked, but it was very clever.

Such a disappoinment. I booked and paid the exhibition before I went to japan. Because it says, the tickets could be sold out on the day it self. Unfortunately, there was a typhoon, didnt expect that and the airport was full of stranded people waiting to get on transport to go tokyo, etc. Included me. So obviously I couldnt go on that day. I called them, to my surprise, the person who talked to me couldnt speak n understand english! What kind of tourist attraction place that doesnt have english translator or workers. She DONT understand a thing. I tried to ask my hotel receptionist to try to call them but it was too late. I sent direct message on Instagram. No response until now. Dont even to bother read or check their DMs. Whats funny is that they kept posting new posts in ENGLISH captions. Poor..poor customer service. Im disappointed. I wasted my money.

Went to MORI Digital Arts Museum on a weekend. It was crazy crowded so recommend going on a weekday. To expensive, the general area around the museum is free and more interesting to me. Only really a show using lights and projectors. Half of it was made for kids and most people get told of at some point wanting to try any of the more interactive pieces because you stumble into the kids section where it is completely the same and located right beside the adult section. Not worth the money getting into a way to crowded area while getting told that most areas are off limits. And you have to pay extra for doing several things.

Such a unique and great experience. Some of the rooms are so beautiful.
Take your time searching for all the hidden places.
Some of the queues are long, but worth it.
The floating nest and the lantern forest were particularly beautiful.

The tea room was great also. With the magic light following your ice cream bowl and flowers magically appearing as your tea is poured.

Memorable sensory experience with my family. I loved the bean bag room. We had loads of laughter and fun there. I like that we are allowed to walk through more than once. One of my best memories of Japan.
