Crowded. Don t go if you have epilepsy. Pretty lights.
Can believe what I see and experience. One of the "must go" place and can't be missed if you are in Tokyo
very very boring. just light show. big light show. many people. if it sells ticket online why don't sell based on entry time but still require wait outside. Biggest mistake I make to go here
A little expensive but totally worth it. I just hope they can continue to maintain it at this high quality as I fear some of the exhibits will begin to show wear over time.
A truly magical place to be lost in. Innovative use of light for art.
Place is so large and can be lost inside. All light exhibition is so stunning. It is worth to go inside and have a see.
Simply amazing. My mind is still confused by the sheer brilliance of this exhibition.
Try the tea House for 500 yen for a spectacular tasting green tea with projections and artwork coming out of it.
We spent 5 hours here and would have spent longer if we hadn't been so hungry! The whole experience is quite interesting and unlike anything else we've experienced. We got there in the morning (around 11am) and it wasn't super crowded (we had to wait for 1 group to go in before we got to go in) but definitely was a lot more crowded by the time we left so I suggest going early (we went on a Sunday). There is no map so you don't know if you've missed anything. I was bummed because on our way out we found something we had missed doing but the line was so long, we had to skip it. My kid is 10 and would have spent the whole day here.
One of the weirdest and very unique places.. Totally recommended however anything with long line is not worth it.. Just go for the short lines and you will enjoy more
I had the best time here. I've never seen anything like it.
It opens at 10am and we got there at 9:30. Do the same. When we left the museum at 11am there was a long, long line. For the first 10 minutes a lot of the exhibits were quiet. By 11 it was very crowded. There is no map or right way to walk through (hence borderless ) so people go every direction. But it is beautiful!
Amazing light installations, I had a great time exploring the exhibition.
Overrated. The resolution of the visual display and animation is terribly bad and unrealistic. Nothing but a mixture of outdated technology and Photoshop fraud.
Pros: it really is as beautiful as it looks, very surreal and beautiful.
Cons: it's *very* crowded. I went on a rainy Thursday and still had to wait in line at the entrance and at the lockers, and the crowds did ruin the experience somewhat.
Was very busy when we went, multiple queues to get in even though we had reserved tickets. I also think the amount of people within the exhibition distracted from the experience.
Very cool experience that somehow looks even better through a camera lens
Completely overrated, great for kids or easily impressed adults. Don't bother if you aren't patient. For the most part it's just projectors in dark rooms with an occasional impressive art installation.
Amazing. Photos can't begin to do it justice. One of the standout highlights of my trip to Japan. Highly recommend a visit. Beware that it's situated in Odiaba NOT the Rappongi MORI art museum.
I almost forgot the time when I'm in here! Very Instagrammable and very interesting. Love the stories behind each room/display.
Sadly we didn t go through all secret gardens! But this exhibition is gorgeous!
Be prepared to be amazed! Was worth the lines we didn't have to wait too long altho we skipped a few of the attractions. Fun for the whole family.
An incredible installation piece of digital art. The queues are worth it, but my advice is don't leave the net until last. It has the longest queue for the most underwhelming part of the whole experience.
Just a warning, don't do a mistake like we did, it is not teamLab planets although both called"digital art museum teamLab" and we did not expect to be two of those when we ordered a ticket, and of course arrived to the wrong one. Apparently we are not the only ones because they have a sign for all the people that do that mistake. The place itself is fun and has a lot of things for kids, but if you are older it will probably be less interesting, especially for the price you pay. For families with kids it worth the visit.
The lights are very magical. You'll definitely enjoy the art.
All exhibitions of this art collectief are awesome. You are definitely missing out if you don't go there! 10 stars from me :)
Quite a unique experience and worth seeing. Install the app as it allows you to control some of the exhibits
It was an awesome Experience !! Worth checking it out!
I encourage everybody to come to this place at least once if they come to Tokyo. We had a great time here. My only complaint was the crowds were huge so it s hard to take good pictures without other people in the background.
So worth going to. Is something fresh and unique. I would recommend buying your tickets before you get there and getting there early for good pictures
Wonderful experience. Waiting time was less than 30 minutes.
Finding the exit can be troublesome, just ask the staff though. Also make sure you go to all the sections! Some are well hidden
Such a beautiful once in a lifetime experience!! I was very excited before going and 3200yen was worth it!! Never found even a bit of it boring!! Had a feeling of wanting to see more and more!! Admiring the beauty of lights.. never thought that Such magic can be done with lights !! Must visit place in japan!!
Amazing digital artworks. Children love the exhibits they can climb in and around on.
Incredible and beautiful place in odaiba. The only problem is the price. But when you get in you will forget about it.
Somewhat overrated, expensive and way too crowded. You wait to pay, you pay to wait: the money is simply for the right of entry, not the right to enjoy, cause you will have to wait and wait and wait.
But the worst is people's manners. Right after being told not to lay in the middle of hallways, people do just that, all for their pathetic instagram selfies.
I think this place is amazing. but the organizer could operate better on the arrangement concerning ticket selling and queue management. because not all people are as polite as local Japanese. Some people do not care about others feeling and it ruins my day.
Unbelievable and breathtaking a must see experience in Tokyo
We spent about 2.5 hrs exploring
This is a very cool concept that was very underwhelming\disappointing. There are too many people trying to stage pictures of themselves. There were long lines for a few exhibits that were just not very cool (the "Nest" comes to mind). The coolest part of this was the moving digital picture frames. Would not really recommend, unless you live in Tokyo long term, there are many other things that are more interesting than this.
Definite must-see in Tokyo! This place is awesome! We went there and even tho we had to wait an hour to get into the floating nest, is was still unforgettable! I strongly recommend kids to visit this place whenever u have a chance to visit Tokyo. They will definitely enjoy it, especially the Athletic Forest, where there is a trampoline and many activities to keep the kids blood pumping! No more Phys Ed class for kids fr now on!
Everything here was unique and awe-inspiring! I've never seen anything like it before and don't know if I will again until my next trip! Little pricey but worth it!
Awful. Bunch of cheap installations. Cost 30$ to enter
Amazing digital experience, loved spending time here
Such an awesome experience! We spent like 5 hours there and loved it. I would recommend going first thing on a weekday (they open at 10am). To make the most of your time and to avoid the most lines, when the doors open go to the Floating Nest exhibit first (head right from the entrance). Then do the Athletic Forest. Then explore the downstairs area (People and flowers, butterflies etc.).
A must go right now. But expect long waiting lines. Absolutely cool for families with young kids. But also digital art interest is satisfied.
It okay over all, but it does not worth the waiting line.
A very memorable experience. installation us awesome. Queens to the creative people who are behind this
Really fun and entertaining experience! Not hard to find or reach.
Even on a national holiday, the wait times were fine and mostly well managed, and whilst actually inside the rooms didn't feel too busy or hectic.
It took roughly 3-4 hours to complete, but, it is worth noting that there is no food whilst inside (that we could find), so eat shortly before going inside.
Been here twice. Always amazing experience. Better buy the ticket in advance.
Awesome experience. Come early to avoid long queues and go to the popular attractions such as the lantern room first.
Borderless provides a unique immersive experience, a visual treat, especially for those who are into art, design or CGI. To avoid crowds, I would recommend going on a weekday and get there early (e.g. if it opens at 10am, get there and line-up at 9:30am). This allowed us to go around all the rooms with ease and no waiting times for rooms that are usually backed-up (like the lantern room). Some people don't enjoy the Nest Room, but if you lay down on the net and soak it in, I found this really relaxing, as was the wave room. If you go at 10am, you'll be finished around 12pm-1pm and there's lots of lunch options nearby.
Amazing. Plan at least half a day and bring walking shoes. You walk more than you think.
Amazing mix of technology ambience light and color. Umbrella lockers can be tedious. Also the exhibitions with lines aren't always the best (cough cough... the nest...)
An incredible and surreal place. The athletic forest was definitely the best part of the entire museum.
My only regret was waiting an hour for the floating nest. It was not worth it at all (still very cool but not 1 hour of waiting cool)
The light effects itselves are cool but the price is very high and even though you paid quite a lot you still have to wait for up to 75 minutes inside to enter some of the special rooms destroy the whole atmosphere and experience. Must be even worse on weekends. Therefore I do not think it is worth this high price.
I would have preferred letting in less people and giving them a quicker and nice experience.
We payed 3200 yen (about 27 euros). It was absolutely worth It. You will need hours to fully enjoy it and It can't be explained by words.
Have heard this show for a long time. Is was amazing! The combination of the music and the light. Absolute stunning!
PSA: Tickets get sold out fast so either buy in advance or go early. Once the quota is full they stop selling tickets and you will need to come back another day. The experience was amazing and words cannot describe it. Be prepare to spend a couple of hours there looking at all the different exhibits. This place is also kid friendly with a separate area for toddlers and children. Bring a nicer camera if your phone camera isn't great with night shot or you will get plenty of blurry pic .
Fantastic experience. The music score along with the ambience was just perfect. Must visit.
The exposition itself has a lot of potential, but for 3.200 Yens, i was expecting the possibility to enjoy all the poetic installations peacefully, unfortunatly there was really too many people for the capacity of the place, and then too much noise. ( I would have prefered a visitor-limited entrance, even if that ment having to come back the next day, rather than going in anyway and having a 3.200Y bad time). Otherwise if you only want to take nice pictures and selfies like 80% of the people in the exposition, no problem at all ! The expositon is as i previously said really beautiful, it's the experience that's not worth the price.
Well, it was very crowded (as a lot of things seem to be in Japan) and things weren't very well organized at the entrance - there weren't enough lockers and umbrella spaces and too many people in general. Inside it was a unique experience. Some rooms were a little bit too much (with the light moving and everything you can even get motionsick) but I enjoyed the most rooms. We couldn't experience everything because for some rooms you needed to wait in line for a long time (one hour at least). The best thing was a light show with different colors and patterns (see picture).
Awful experience. Completely oversold space. Do you like waiting in lines!? This is the place for you. They need to sell less tickets, pure greed. I would leave 3 stars, however they closed some of the art installations BEFORE 19:00.... the lines are super long, and then you close Early? This is awful customer service. Won t be visiting any other locations. Extremely rude staff! I complained they complained early and they told me to read my ticket.
Excess my expectations. U could go back and forth = Borderless. U can jump, slide, sit .... Take a break to enjoy the scene.
Good experience, but very crowded even on a weekday morning. Too expensive for what it is.
I like that they have a lot of rooms to explore amazing art works but it's so pack that it's not enjoyable. I love the active room, it's one of my favorite. This one is bigger than the mori team lab but I prefer mori team lab because you do more interaction than borderless. Both are amazing though.
Was a great experience, really big rooms and great photo opportunities. Really well put together and helpful staff. Also next to a shopping centre and not to far from the Unicorn Gundam Statue in Diver City.
Its a must go. Visual delight and fun for all ages. Massive crowd but tolerable. I enjoyed much.
Incredible displays.... you can spend hours wandering and being enchanted.
Different than daily entertainment. Art and experience type of entertainment place. Good places for dating.
Great light show and interactive lighting games, great fun!
Awesome. Must do in the Odaiba area. We pre-bought tickets for 6PM entrance and after. Recommend being there right before 6 to get maximum time inside. Also if its close to 9 and the lineup for Floating Nest is very long the entire night, do it 20 mins before closing. They still let you experience it after it closes if you're already in line.
Lockers were great. Costs 100 yen and money is refunded upon retrieval.
So much beauty, not enough battery life to take all the pics and vids.
Once inside, there are hour-plus queues for many parts of it. Extremely crowded.
Wear flat shoes so that you don't have to borrow a pair at the "Athletic Forest." Plan to spend a few hours so that you can enjoy yourself and wade past all the Instagrammers.
Great museum, very fun. Make sure to get tickets in advance before standing in the line. Less of a wait if you go early. But, expect around one hour wait. Inside it also gets a bit crowded... exhibits are very cool. Great for kids.
It was a great experience which I did not entirely expect looking at the building from the outside.
It had multiple rooms and multiple fascinating things to look at and experience. Do be aware that there will likely be a huge line to get in which could take around 50 minutes.
It is worth it to visit at least once if you're in Tokyo.
I was blown away by the scale and beauty of the art installation. An absolute must see. Reserve at least 2-3 hours to fully enjoy this marvellous gem.
Lots to do for kids in and around the area so you can make a day of it.
Flippen awesome experience!!!! Loved every minute of it. It does get extremely busy into the late morning/ afternoon so recommend you go early as the lines get long!
Immersion of artworks via crafty projector work.
Must visit!
It was the most amazing experience we could have looked for
A sight to be seen. Didn't see the water one, which was disappointing. But overall very entertaining and very interactive. They have hired shoes for those in heels. Would recommend wearing comfortable shoes
Great tech museum. Vibrant colors, hightech stuff.... and too crowded. Earlier you go more you will see.
Very unique and impressive digital art experince. Pretty amazing scale and high level of execution. I would recommend this to anyone.
Great modern art installation. Give yourself a few hours to find all the hidden rooms.
Amazing show! Can spend more than half day here. Better get tickets online in advance, will come visit again if I ever get a chance to visit Japan next time.
