Seems purpose built for taking Instagram photos. Definitely interesting and novel to walk through, but I ended up leaving frustrated. This place has all the negatives about being a tourist in Tokyo all rolled into one. Hordes of people and lines. Non-stop dictation of rules about where to stand, how to walk, what to do and how to do it, etc. You can't really go through the place in a relaxing way.

Amazing experience !

Amazing experience !
All the beautiful lights shows is just overwhelmingly beautiful and very difficult to capture with just a phone!!Highly recommend that you experience it for yourself!!

We went there the 22nd of June, 2nd day of the opening and It was trully an amazing experience, I had been traveling for about 6 months and it was probably one of the most impressive art show that I ve experienced. From the shapes moving on the wall to the lights game and waterfalll. You need to see it to realized how complexe and amazing it is ... It is a huge place, we almost spent 4 hours and we could have stayed longer ! Don t forget to make the line to go to the floating net !

Every age can enjoy this experience. It s best to get your tickets a month in advance. Wear comfortable shoes (or rent them there) and mind the mirrored floors (wrap skirts are available for free).
They have free stroller parking with locks and keys for the strollers.
Umbrellas can be stashed in holders with locks.
There are coin lockers of different sizes for your stuff, and you get your coin back when you put the key in.
Restrooms are easy to find inside the exhibit area, with places to change babies.
There is a baby play area and a toddler play area. Both have soft, large objects that can be moved around and will interact with the digital displays.
If you have older kids, they will find plenty to do. This was an amazing experience. We spent two hours inside with our two kids (7 and 10 years old), but after we left we decided we wanted to go back again the same day. Re-entry is allowed, but you do have to wait in line again.
Many of the exhibits are immersive, many are interactive, and many are active. The upper floor is where you can slide, bounce, draw art that will become part of the exhibit, climb, and balance.

The lower floors have a dizzying array of exhibits with huge variety of styles. It s easy to accidentally skip some, so backtrack to make sure you ve seen it all.

Can be very crowded and there will be lots of Instagram models walking around and posing but it's for a good reason. The visuals can be downright breathtaking when you first see and experience them. Only drawback was that we were unsure if we hit all of the rooms as there isn't really any set map. That and finding the exit at the end was a little tough. Worth the trip.

Wow, What an amazing experience.

Wow, What an amazing experience.

Incredibly well designed art museum with lights. Almost everything holds its charm and style. We specially love the room with dancing spotlights with music.

Right next to it is tye Giants ferris wheel to finish the day by watching Tokyo skyline.

Must visit if you are near Odaiba area.

Had such a good time, number of people inside was limited so had to buy tickets before hand but plenty of hand sanitizers and everyone was wearing masks. Each room was amazing and beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous. I recommend heading over before it starts given that a pretty decent line starts to form by the time they actually open the doors. I also recommend that you order your tickets beforehand and have them with you; we had ours on our phone.

The exhibits are absolutely beautiful. Couple that with calming music that perfectly fits with the display, and you end up with mouths gaping open in awe. I really can t emphasize enough just how beautiful it was. This contemporary art is something that I would recommend everyone to experience if they re in Japan. The pictures simply do not do it enough justice. Granted, pictures can also be hard to capture if there are a lot of people, but either way, just enjoy the experience and take a mental picture of your journey! Some displays I had to do by video because the light shows were just amazing and almost hypnotizing given their patterns. I felt like I was really traveling through a sea of lights or through space-time as seen in movies!

An incredible experience, so many dazzling rooms. The lantern room was the longest queue, maybe 20+ minutes, and also most underwhelming, with 1 minute allowance in the room. Crystal World and others were amazing. Arrive early to try and beat the queues. At 11 we waited 20 minutes to get in.

It s such a cool place . It s the best things to do in Tokyo . I suggest taking something. Else than the metro because the line to the area is basically a tourist trap as it s so expensive . The place itself is the best and has the coolest technology. The show is amazing . Book earlier to avoid disappointment

It was definitely an experience I m glad I had in Tokyo. The exhibits and digital artwork are really interesting and fun to be a part of. The only downside is the insane amount of other people in line and inside the building. Get ready to walk around and wait a lot.

Great experience.

Great experience.

3200 yen entrance fee ($35).

Very crowded, we had to line up for 20-30 mins for one of the rooms.

Amazing digital art. You could be in here for hours! I recommend eating before you get here, but there are plenty of options nearby if you don't. The music matches the art well. Love the range. There are even rooms where you can do some coloring and see your own art come to life! Good for kids, artsy teens, and adults. I recommend getting here before 1300 on a weekend, just to be safe. You'll enjoy it more if it's not overcrowded.

Certaintly an experience you dont want to miss! Really stimulates your senses, and Atletic Forest was to me the highlight due to its interactive options. Be ready for long queues tho. And the whole thing is a maze - which is both a good and bad thing. Rooms change their appearance, and thata cool. But it is hard to navigate it all, and a map of all content should be avaible. And you can enter rooms from what is not ment to be the entrance, making you miss instructions or ques. All in all an exciting experience!

Incredible experience. There was already a line to enter when we arrived at opening place opens at 10am. You bring everything with you, keep in mind that some rooms, especially the laser one is very warm.

There is a line up for the lantern room and you are only inside for about 2 minutes.

Lots of people during our visit, but still a good time. There is no set path so you wander from room to room. There are some stairs and a lot of walking in the dark. An area for younger kids available. Something really neat in the kids area is the ability to color an image of a sea creature and have it scanned into virtual art immediately.

Tea on the top floor is neat with flowers blooming in your drink. Pay extra for the tea room.

You can bring snacks and drinks inside, saw groups of people eating in the sitting areas near the washrooms.

If you love it here, I recommend visiting planets by teamLab as well. Different but also wonderful experience.

I would not go here again. Way way way too much money. The projectors are very low resolution and the quality of the 'art' repetitive and visually boring. Don't waste you time as the location is really out of the way from most of the other interesting parts of the city.

Must visit destination when you are in Tokyo. The interactive exhibits are captivating but you just have to bear with long queues and crowded spaces. Everyone is in awe just as you are.

MORI Digital is truly something special BUT there are some things to consider. When we went it was essential to book online in advance, otherwise you take your chances with getting a walk-in ticket. If you don't want to deal with crowds, make sure you are first in by arriving AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to opening. Don't expect to power walk around the whole exhibit in an hour as there are no maps and the rooms evolve during the day which means some deserve more than one visit. We spent 4.5 hours but could have still spent longer. Don't miss the spotlights room and make sure at 'the cave' you capture the show when the birds get there, it's breathtaking and much better than when the rabbits or the warriors get there. It's also easy to miss just how much the art interacts with you. In most rooms water will run around you, animals can be stroked and even killed! It's so dazzling it's easy to forget that you can participate. Don't miss this - the kids will love it too.

Heaps of experiences, whenever we thought we had seen it all, we found something else we hadn't seen. Extremely busy at peak times with lines that took a couple hours for rooms that weren't really worth the wait. Make sure you get there early or checkout the rooms online first before you decide to wait.

This place is wonderful! I don't see how people spend 2 or 3 hours here, however. Unless my friends and I missed something, we found ourselves mesmerized for a good hour and a half before seemingly running out of rooms to discover. It's not a bad thing, though! I was quite satisfied with the time we spent there. Take your time and revisit previous rooms as the displays are always changing!

We booked tickets for this experience. Unfortunately due to the typhoon the venue was shut on the day. However we were told we could come back in 2 days and use the tickets meant for the previous time. On arrival at the venue the man told us we were not getting in. He was rude, sarcastic and told us to just book flights back to Japan if we wanted to enjoy the experience.

The morning of our last day in Tokyo wasted travelling around. Not impressed. Look forward to hearing back from management on this.

When I first came to this place, I was so excited and can t wait to go inside to see the digital artwork BUT only to be stop at the entrance. My friends bought advance tickets online and I bought mine from the vending machine but little did I know it was for the 4:00pm pass. We waited under the hot sun for 30mins, by the way it was 12:30pm. They said I can t go in with them nor can I get a refund for the ticket. They kept saying they HAD SOMEONE which was only ONE staff, who had difficulty explaining things to people to begin with. Please be aware of this fraudulent business trick.

Words can't express how amazing this place is to visit. Make sure you spend a few hours to experience it all and do the night session because more people leave at the end of the night making it easier to take photos/see the lined sections.

Winner winner chicken dinner! We got to colour in pictures of sea animals with crayons and then the lady scanned them and then they appeared on the wall swimming about and whatnot. There was a slide that was fun but afterwards my hands and shorts smelled like KY jelly which was unexpected x

SO GOOD! Like a playground for adults. One thing though - if there's a big queue for the Floating Nest, don't waste an hour like we did and skip it! The other rooms are way better. Personal favourite was Crystal World. You'll easily spend about 3 hours here and time well spent!

Amazing place to visit in Tokyo. When they put up a sign to say there is no directory and no route, they weren't kidding. So many hidden places to find and explore.even my 1 year old was able to have alot of fun especially at the athletic forest on 2F. There was an even a nursing room.

Crazy long queue to get in even if you bought tickets prior. Crazier queues for popular exhibits like Forest of Lamps, Nest and En Tea House. Beautiful but not coming back for sure! Overcrowding is terrible, makes for a poor experience and could be fire hazard.

God, the lines are super long and we waited for more than 2 hours. Inside is pretty cool with lights and so on but it gets old pretty quickly. There s a room where the queue is super long. It s good for a perfect instagram photo but probably not worth it if you dont really care.

This was the best experience I have ever had in a museum let alone a digital art museum. The family and I definitely enjoyed ourselves and might contemplate going back. If you re in Tokyo, Japan you have to experience this. It s amazing you ll never find anything like this.

Amazing experience, highly recommended
The feeling inside the museum cannot be described by words or pictures (and there are platy of those, for whom who like to know what's it all about)

Coolest visual experience. You will get lost in the maze of rooms. Make sure you wear pants, since most of the rooms have mirror floors. They have lockers for rent to store your stuff before entering. I got lost looking for the exit and found two more exhibits I didn't know existed. You can only exit from the upstairs atheletic forest room.

Very cool place. Large queues to get in which move quickly. Best to book your tickets before you go.
Large queues inside for some of the effect rooms so perhaps visiting in the morning is better.

I highly recommend you pick up a ticket online in advance, as the day I went many were turned away. When I was recommended to go by a friend, I had seen some of these experimental art exhibit things in my feed, but I had no real interest in going. Luckily I was wrong.

Let's say that my pictures could not possibly capture the immersion of amazing sights and sounds within. It truly felt as if I traveled into another world of colors and sounds. One could easily get lost in the fascinating labyrinth of displays and spend hours trying to take that perfect low-light selfie. Seriously, it is really worth the visit.

...especially if you have a date. This is major date-spot worthy stuff!

I booked this place for my husband Christmas gift.
He is a wheelchair photographer and he was so looking forward to visit this place.
I contacted the office in advance to confirm about a ticket for a person with disability.. they replied to me
There is no ticket needed for a person with disability and no need to make extra reservation.
So I purchased one ticket and went there with my husband..
We waited in line for about 40 min to get in.. we finally reached to the entrance to show the ticket to get in.
I showed one ticket.. and a staff asked me where is one more ticket..? I said he is on wheelchair..
He asked where is the disability proof.. I replied he is on wheelchair.. how can I more to proof he has a disability.
I asked if I need to purchase one more ticket for him then I would like to purchase one.. then he said he needed to
Talk to a manager.. manager came and said.. all tickets for the day had already sold out.. so he cannot get in..
He asked my husband if he has any proof of disability from his own country.. Canada.. sigh
They have zeo consideration for people who has physical challenge..
I asked him if I can get my money back as there is no point going in myself leave my husband behind..
They say NO they do not return money.. they do not let us purchase one more ticket.. they do not change a date when we can come together..
Very very poor hospitality.. their amusement park name is border-less.. but I found there are so many boarders they created..
Zeno flexibility, Zeno respect for customers Zero customer service skill..
I do not recommend this place at all..

You can almost spend the day in that museum, since there is SO MUCH too see. There is no map inside, respecting the immersive effect of the whole experience, so you got to be careful not to miss some of the rooms. 2 or 3 of them will have queue to get in there, but it is worth it. Overall amazing experience.

Pretty interesting place with cool exhibits and light shows. The kinda place u don t want to visit when you forgot your camera because almost every wall is picture worthy.

If you are in Tokyo and find yourself having spare 2-3 hours, this place is worth considering although it s around 45min train ride from the city centre(Shibuya/Shinjuku).

Wow. This place is amazing. It's an indescribable experience. A beautiful treat for all senses. You'll spend all day there. Wait on the lines earlier rather than later. If they say the wait is 17m, start waiting, because the lines can start becoming an hour wait. Also be prepared to be active (wear sneakers), there are fun moving parts to do through. A must do experience when in tokyo. Go see the Gundam after.

I had not seen a museum like this before. It is like a thousand mini-light shows. It gives you the feeling that you are immersed into the digital art. The technology that drives this is very impressive. I got there at around 12:30 and there was a line down the stairs and around the block. I did not have a ticket, so I was forced to buy one with an entry time after 3pm. It gave me time to eat lunch. I think I saw almost everything in about 2 hours. I did not wait in long lines for special exhibits. One line wait time was 1 hour. Anyway, if you are bringing kids you will probably stay double the time I did.

You must go. The line was very long as we were there at the height of cherry blossom time, but it moved rather quickly.
This is like no place I ve ever been.

I went on a weekday just before offices finish. It is usually crowded after office hours. At about 4:00pm the wait time for tickets is about 20 minutes. The tea house inside the main area had over an hour of waiting time.

The area is quite innovatively done and best visited if you are not alone.

A must visit in Japan. There are many different lighting shows, some of them even interact with you. Make sure you have at least two hours if you want to see everything. It is quite hard to navigate inside so it's best if you either draw a map as you visit or visit things one by one in a logical way (i.e. explore all the right hand side first), that way you won't miss anything.

So much people and an extemely long line but totally worth it. I expected it to be an overhyped place where you just take some pretty selfies and yes it is exactly that but also it so much more. It is stunning and interesting. We spent 4hours there because we wanted to explore every little Detail of these wonderful exhibition.

A new form of art, with lighting and sound. Many rooms to go thru. It was great even with lots of people around you. We waited for 40 mins to get in, and then once inside we waited for 45 more mins to get into the lantern room. It was worth it.

It just didn t do it for me. There s so much hype surrounding this art exhibit and from the amazing advertisement you expect the technology to be more advanced. It s super busy too so be ready to wait...wait...and continue waiting! I enjoyed my time in a few of the rooms but overall it was nothing to rave about. Plus the area of Odaiba is not at all at the level of sophistication inner Tokyo city suburbs have to offer. Not worth the travel out at all! But it wasn t terrible...so again comes down the preference.

I highly recommend this exhibition.

I highly recommend this exhibition.
The lights are awesome. Life really is an illusion of what you see and think. Everything is about the interpretation of what we see, feel and sense. At this museum all your senses will get to a new level experience.
Only negativ point is, that it gets really crowded.
So Pro Tips:
Don t be late.
Go there as early as possible!
Buy tickets online!

P.s.Cameras are allowed - without flash.

Worth the ticket price. Purchase ticket online to reduce queue time. Bring nothing preferably. Easy to move around. Don't have to waste time storing in the locker. Plastic bottle with a cap is allowed, however I find it difficult to walk around the exhibit with the water bottle. Spent about 3 hours. If you come in at peak hour, it's hard to take photos without the crowd. Queue for popular exhibit can be as long as 1hr. The queue may be stopped by the staff about 30 mins before closing time. Mind blowing experience. The light may interact with you when your body touched the wall. It is very dark inside so just try to walk carefully. Exhibit may have a short time frame for example the lantern exhibit, staff will usher you out to make way for new visitor. Budget more time to enjoy the exhibit better.

Their concept is really cool. My wife and I really liked the rooms with the lights effects (lanterns, crystals). We found that the projections on the walls were nice but not as cool as the lights. Also, there are many rooms to explore and it can get confusing. Make sure to arrive at the opening since it gets crowded very fast. We arrived 30 minutes before the opening and got in without any wait time.
