The turkey breast was good but the ribs taste like the meat was boil. The ribs was not cooked thoroughly, the cole slaw was dry and the sweet mashed potato taste bitter. The original barbecue sauce was very vinegary. I was not impressed at all and this was one if the places on my bucket list.

To one of the bartenders at the lounge who accused one of our folks (that he stole 5 bucks out of your tip jar) tonight.
We went there to have a good time, so we didn't want any more argument with you than what already happened,so we tried to stop it. I know you wouldn't believe it, but that man you accused,is a big tipper. He always tips, that it sometimes pisses us off because some of our servers don't really deserve it. And tonight it was you.
That guy tips every time he orders if he has cash, so there are times he has to check how much tip he's putting in. That's why he dropped some cash in that jar and held some back, but you only saw the last part of it huh? Of course! because YOU ARE ALWAYS ON YOUR DAMN PHONE!!!!(Yes,we noticed it). So that's why that's the only thing you saw when you looked back up,him taking the cash back! If I had known this would have happened, I would've recorded it and sued you for accusing a nice customer like him. And the way you were talking to him? Lady, somebody should have taught you how to talk to your customers. He has a pretty good job and he respects your job, that's why he tips all the time. He don't need no g* damn 5 bucks out of yours. As a matter of fact,I think you should be fired for having that kind of attitude. This kind of business is really not for you.
Oh, for future reference,GET OFF YOUR DAMN PHONE WHILE YOU'RE WORKING SO YOU CAN SEE BETTER.

PS: We actually liked the place.

Probably the best brisket I have ever had. The place was pretty empty during my visit (4PM on a weekday) and the service was really fast. Mac&cheese was very creamy and the pickles were just enough spicy. Can't complain about any part of my visit.

I wanted to be excited, I really did, however, my expectations were not met. The place was packed at 8:30 on a Thursday night. It took a while for anyone to acknowledge me. Once I got my name on the list it took another 15 minutes of patiently standing at the bar to get a beer. The bartenders were nice enough, just slammed busy. When I did finally get to sit down to eat, my food did come out fairly quickly (15-20 minutes or so). The issues continued when I didn't get the right side item. They gave me the correct item and let me keep the mistake, so that was something. However, the next thing is unforgivable. My meat was cold when it got to me. I got brisket and it was room temperature at best. I ate a few bites and what flavor was present wasn't enough to make up for the temperature. At this point it had been about an hour since I got there and I didn't even want to bother with asking for a new entree. I left eating only the sides and went back to my hotel for a second, more filling, dinner.

The food here was just ok, not something I would go out of my way for. The menu is a little misleading. The okra was listed as fried not deep fried. The mac and cheese was made with fake yellow cheese, not cheddar. The chicken sandwich was dry. The collard greens and beans had meat in it which wasn t listed on the menu. There were gluten free options. The bbq tasted good but I had to cover the chicken with it because it was dry.

The space was large and the a huge basement with a stage for live music. We arrived around 2pm on a weekday and didn t have to wait for a table. There was free wifi.

Laila, our server was awesome. Local beer choices were delicious. I don't know how any spinach dip could be this amazing. It must have been sprinkled with cheese crack. The onion rings stellar. Beef brisquit, the absolute best I've ever had.

Saw I great show, Coheed and Cambria! Outdoor venues are a real treat, and the weather was perfect! Great staff from the front door to the bar to the cleanup crew. I'd love to see a show there again!

Really enjoyed this laid-back BBQ place on Red River St. We happened to pass by on our way back from the UT campus, and were very glad we stopped in. Plentiful menu options for the novice BBQ eaters with some truly delicious side dishes to boot. Although we were there in the afternoon, there is a whole downstairs bar area with live music (we saw the stage being setup). Service was friendly, quick and hospitable.

Good, not amazing. Tasty and fast! The meats were good, especially the pulled pork, and as for the rest it would go from decent to really good if they just seasoned everything a bit more. Positive experience though, fast, polite, and attentive wait staff coupled with solid meats and sides make this a recommended eat if you re in the neighbourhood.

Food was average, building was cool and clean. Staff was friendly, but the portions and prices were awful. If you desire to spend $25 for All you can eat, per person, I imagine it could great but $18 for an ounce of beef and sausage with two cups of sides is way more expensive than I am use to. If the portion had been larger I could have gladly accepted the price for the two meat plate.

Grandiose BBQ restaurant with a backyard, where there are concerts. A real BBQ restaurant with delicious food and the right flair. The concert in the relatively small backyard was absolutely brilliant.

Not my favorite BBQ place in Austin, but definitely in the top 10. Ribs were slightly burnt last time, but couldn't argue with the flavor of the seasoning. I tend to be here pretty often for concerts but rarely for the food.

Stopped here from recommendation and was kind of disappointed. Paid a lot of money and my brisket was dry and tough. The sausage and macaroni and cheese were very good so I can t give it less than 3 stars. However, I put my name down and was told a 20 minute wait. Came back in 20 minutes and they said it would be a few minutes and I noticed on their list that several other customers after myself had been seated. Felt a little insulted. Other than that, the waiter was friendly even though he was frazzled. It was busy though, there during SXSW.

Wow. Just wow. Stubb s is absolutely incredible. Mouth watering brisket, tender pulled pork, and sausage that is to die for. So happy I had a hotel room right across the street. The collards and coleslaw were no joke either. Very affordable to.

The most awful venue in Austin. Hot, unbearably crowded, long lines, nowhere to sit and rest your feet for a minute. I ve been there a few times, and it was miserable every time. Won t be going back ever again.

Yummmmm. Franklin's gets all the hype, but for similar high-quality Texas BBQ, I highly recommend Stubb's. Without the three-hour wait in the sun and humidity, you get tender juicy chicken, brisket and pulled pork... creamy macaroni and cheese, and perfectly lumpy mashed potatoes. My friend and I split the 3 meats, 2 sides. As hungry as we were, we still had a bit leftover! Great portions, even better food. Atmosphere is fun, too - there is a billiards table for pool and a stage for live music downstairs. Looks like a concert space is outside, as well

Aaaaaa-maze-ing! Brisket is the best I've had in a long while! All I can say is Serrano cheese spinach! Even if you don't like spinach you might like all this goodness. You gotta be ready for some heat though, it's not unspicy! It is soooo creamy and good I almost made my son bring me some from Austin to the Houston area... Btw, why don't we have one of these ?

I went to a barbecue at Stubb's around 5:30 or 6 on a Friday evening and there was absolutely no where to park! And Stubbs wasn't even crowded. I went two blocks from the restaurant to park and it was going to cost $14 to put my car!! Therefore, I left and I will not be on that! I have eaten at Stubbs many times and the food is delicious, but they definitely need to address the parking situation! It is costing them business and money as well as Patriots.

I hate doing negative reviews but I have to say that I hope you are going to Stubbs for the shows and not the food. It's ok if you are going for a show to eat at the restaurant first. It is passable food and a great atmosphere. But the barbecue here is like Corona in Mexico. For the tourists.

The meat was extremely dry, the wait staff didn't care if you were satisfied or not. They tried to take my plate while I was eating and then one of the other waitresses came to the table and took the barbecue sauce and almost hit my husband in the face with it and walked off without so much as an excuse me. The thing that really got us was how dry the meat was, yes it was a Sunday evening but the meat should not be so dry it flakes apart instead of fall apart. We won't be coming back here!

Amazing food and great entertainment. Attended with a large group in private space. The BBQ was fantastic! The owner stopped in to say hello and was incredibly gracious and kind. The crowd was crazy (in a good way). Great way to see a show in an intimate environment.... Outdoor, great acoustics and energy. Enjoy!

The BBQ was good, the atmosphere was great, but the concert venue was awesome! Tons of room for large crowds and there were enough bars to keep drink refill quick. A very cool setup the I definitely plan on returning to.
