Closest ski resort that offers a decent amount of terrain and difficulty. Lots of food options. Tickets are expensive unless you opt for season pass. Parking can be challenging.

Started my PCT trek here to Snoqualmie. Beautiful views.
Not a huge mountain, but family friendly, new quad chairs and terrain parks. No hotel at the base, but there is rv parking.
I'm really enjoying Steven's. The trip is long from Seattle and the weather can make it challenging but the resort is top notch.
I did the Learn-in-3 program and you can't beat it for the price. Instructors were great, fun, and very helpful. I've gotten there before 8:30am and never had an issue with parking.
The mountain is beautiful, check it out.
Snowboarder heaven for me. Fun runs and nice terrain park. My go-to for close-to-Seattle resorts.
Short description: great all-mountain skiing and awesome views, but you might not get a parking space if you don't get there early.
Long descriotion: Great local ski mountain. One of the best in the area. There are few green runs, but several easier blue runs. Experts can ski on almost the entire mountain as there are only a few cliff areas. After 2 years of going here I still find new areas to ski. There are at least two natural half pipes, a decent terrain park, and some very good tree skiing. More of the mountain is ungroomed than groomed, but you could spend all day on groomers without getting bored. Even when the parking lots are full, it doesn't feel too crowded (benefits of not having unlimited parking). The lodge is no-frills, but has good food and beer. Speaking of parking, on peak days, get there by 8:30 to be sure to get a spot.
The snow and snow base was good, the lines were not long. The pizza and taco shop in the Pacific Lodge were unexpectedly closed. The rental experience wasn't bad.
I love my local resort. Laid back, easy drive up. Great staff. Tough to beat for a quick day or on the slopes without the hassle of a big vacation. Plus my boy will always say this is where he learned to ski!
Great ski area close to home. Parking is an issue but the terrain is great, given how close it is.
Getting tickets is not bad. However during the day it gets very crowded trying to buy food which is very expensive. The hills very good and fun
Went there for Military Appreciation Day, had lots of fun.
Tie mill is my favorite chair lift and its Less busy So relaxing to just get out and ride on a non busy day!
Great amenities and generally good riding terrain, but honestly it gets way too crowded on the weekends resulting in waiting in many lines.
Beautiful place if you go after a recent snow. Not too crowded either and night skiing is best.
Lots of runs open for night skiing with plenty of fresh snow and side country options on the day we went. Good facilities, friendly staff.
A bit pricey. I ended up paying around the same for my lift pass at Whistler. Always a fun visit though!
Chair lifts stopped a bit too often during my two day visit. Also meal places were closed for groups it said on side with grill, but no groups seemed to be there? Overall experience was ok, could be better.
Best place to go in WA. Fun park. All staff and friendly and nice.
Great resort for snowboarding/skiing! Lots of terrain!
Lively vibe, good snow but sometimes the surface is unpredictable. Decent food at bull's tooth.
Had a great time aside from all the beginners on hogs back getting in the way. Few staff members had some serious attitude that needs to be fixed. Foods pretty pricey and not really that great. I recommend taking a lunch or stopping somewhere before hand.
Great for us beginners and we love the free 5th grade Season pass!
Great day at Stevens Pass. Blue skies good snow! Come have some.fun in the snow amd apres ski at the Bulls Tooth.
I work here and though it is only my second day on the job I can tell that the team here is awesome and very helpful and very committed to providing an optimal experience for the customer. Example: we are not even allowed to say restroom over the radio, we have a code for it.
This is an awesome and large ski pass, with polite staff and great runs.
Great local mountain. Limited parking so on powder days get here before 0900 (or after 1200) or you might not be riding.
The backside has little to no cell service, but it appears T-Mobile has upgraded their towers as I now have full LTE on the front.
You are allowed to bring and eat your own food in the Eastern-most lodge. As with parking, eat early (before 1130) or late (after 1300) or you'll likely be waiting for a while for a seat.
I can down for the Thursday night throwdown race and I've never had so much fun. The trails are wonderful and the people there are friendly.
Wether you're looking for steep powder/tree lines or park Stevens is amazing. Only problem is it's overpopulated and parking is pretty bad when it's busy.
Great ski resort, highest elevation in the area, and most snowfall between seattle and Baker.
My friends an I have been riding here for years, never had a negative to say about Stevens. The lift operators are always friendly and high five fridays are always excellent
Went for Skiing for the first time to Stevens Pass. Loved the experience!! Everything from the equipment, the warm soup, the lesson, the skiing!!!! :) Totally worth going and will go again if I get the chance! :)
This is my go-to mountain and if I'm going to get a seasons pass it is always to Stevens. I think that the back side is the best, get a couple speed chairs and spend the whole morning there before going back to the front side for lunch. Great little bars, usually hang out at the foggy goggle, and awesome friendly staff. Sad to see the year is winding down but Ill be there next season for sure.
Steavens Pass is great just made sure you go with the snow is really good
The new bike park is AWSOME everyone should try it out
Cool mountain. Has a decent amount of chairlifts with a mixture of high speed quad, triple chair and the old fashioned double chair. Rope tow for the fresh starters. Terrain is varied and I like the steeper hills (seems more prevalent in the cascades). The place gets busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. Nice lodges and the outdoor seating is pretty cool, we found an area with fireplaces. You get toasty without the humidity in the lodge.
Southern cross was great... sad that 7th heaven was down, but will have to visit again!
Pass member this year with the Epic Local pass. I was excited to enjoy this perk as I've been loving Stevens Pass more and more over the past few years. Love the terrain here and excited to see what Vail Resorts is able to improve in coming years. Was a little disappointing recently that they were unable to open Jupiter express on a big powder day midweek, but I understand why they did it and were able to keep all the other lifts running all day.
The staff are fun, and the resort is great. The problem is when Vail bought the resort. They jacked up the prices so much it costs $3.75 for some m&ms.
Went for a fall hike on the barren slopes.. The walking/hiking trail maps are incredibly inaccurate.. By using their marked trails i almost ended up on the backside after dark. Haha... How hard is it to get a walking path correct on google maps?
Stevens Pass has so much terrain and open space to play and explore. The lines are endless and on a good powder day, there's no slowing down.
Love shredding on this mountain! The back of the mountain is my favorite, I love hearing the buzzing of the telephone poles back there. Great drinks at the lodge.
I always love coming here to board. There's tons of terrain and mountain, and access to even MORE if you like backcountry stuff. There is also access to some great hiking in the summer, as well as their great bike park. The lift passes are electronic, so no tags to stick on your jacket or pants, and the restaurants are always cozy and good.
With the new ownership Stevens Pass is still great, no more turnstiles at the lift lines just Vail Resort quick ticket check guns. Was disappointed that the Taco Stop menu had changed, the Taco salads with fish and Chipotle dressing were the best in the west and not available any more . I do like the season pass options with Colorado resorts and Whistler now included with your Steven's Seasons Pass.
A great little mountain! I have a cabin not to far away, and it awesome. I love to go skiing with my family. a must go to destination!
Great mix of terrain, well run, nice lodges/facilities.
The snow was good and everyone was friendly and it was a great experience! However when we were paying for rentals, we paid cash but they also slid our card too and charged us double what we paid for! ($110 cash and $110 debit) This wouldn't have been a big deal if they account didn't go negative right before trying to book a hotel. Since they close at 4 it can't be fixed until tomorrow and we are 3 hours away from home. Just make sure you have enough money to pay double for rentals if you go. I will update this review to see how their customer service responds.
100 times better than snowcrummie, and a decent substitute for Whistler
Killer place to mountain bike and progress to the larger jumps at places like Whistler
Great for weekday visits, it gets too crowded on the weekends
The deepest day of skiing in my life. Laid back, locals resort. Lots of fresh snow to find even on a busy Friday, post storm. Decent lift ticket price. Will gladly return. Pay attention to the pass traffic online and on the radio, as this pass closes frequently.
Plenty of intermediate skill level slopes. Loads of events. Helpful ski instructors for individual or group levels. Night skiing is an option before Spring skiing starts.
Super fun place to learn how to ski for the first time! Can be a bit challenging but for newbies like me the bunny slopes were very achievable
Solid mountain, very friendly employees, need more restrooms other than at the base
Absolutely love Stevens Pass. Farther than the pass from Bellevue, but well worth the drive. Great family ski resort.
Great facility. Two hours to get rental equipment however is ridiculous. Also our ski instructor himself slipped and fell off his skis five times during our lesson. So much for teaching us newbies how to balance and stay up! Better vetting of instructors needed.
Spent my first time snowboarding here, it was packed and finding parking took forever but the experience was wonderful and the different areas of the mountain were set up nicely and marked clearly. The lodge area was warm and clean for how many people were in and out. Loved the fire pits outside!
Great ski spot. Lots of terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. It was snowing the day I came so I cannot comment on what the view was like.
Awesome slopes but dishonest people ski and snowboard here. People will steal your board. This place turned into a sad place. They now have paid storage on the slope. Some can argue they do this to generate more revenue. Sad.
Drive 3 hours to get there, no parking, traffic worse on the way back, took an extra hour, not sure why. No accidents.
Great local place to go skiing. Enjoy getting up to the mountain for night skiing.
Great resort! We come here every year with a mixed group of people with different skill levels and there are lifts for all of us. They have night skiing several nights a week and restaurants with great service, food and drink options as well as heaters to dry off and warm up with. Our favorite server is Billy!! He is the best!
I was concerned about the large corporation (Vail resorts) buying Stevens pass recently and what it would do to the customer service and pricing. During our latest trip the weather was very rainy and the snow was rather terrible and the lovely Mia at the help desk gave us several options and offered a refund if we decided the weather wasn't worth riding in after one lift. I was blown away by Mia's level of kindness and customer service and am no longer worried about the change of hands to Vail resorts. Keep it up! Oh and please keep doing the "Stay and Play" package with Leavenworth because it's awesome and we use it every year and tell everyone about it!!!
we loved it !!and the people who work there are awesome !!
