Love this place In winter for skiing and in summer for hiking.
The best ski resort around Seattle. Lots of slopes of different levels, love it! Also, views are stunning. And it s fast and easy to get there from Seattle.
Come there before 9 am on the weekends, otherwise - no parking!
I put 4 because there is place for improvement!
There is no automated software to scan the ski passes, employees of the resort need to stay there for the whole day in the cold weather and scan the passes
Also, some of the lifts don t have a place to put skis or snowboards while going up. This is not secure at all.
And one more thing - it ll be a good practice to make it mandatory to wear helmets! I think that it s on places like Stevens to educate people about their safety, and to make their own safety a habit!
And, get more parking spaces, please. Or add shuttles from other places where people can park their cars!
Great local ski resort with the backing of a large corporation. Epic pass participant makes it even better! Terrain has a little of everything but if you re new to the sport there are only a couple green runs. We are a family of 6 and it s nice and close with a good beginner area for the little kids.
Great skiing here at Stevens Pass! Beautiful slopes and great snow! You can park right at the resort and walk to the slopes!
Amazing hill, great people - the worst ticketing and rental system. The lines are a nightmare. Cancelled The PNW Pass with no online alternative? So either buy a season pass or wait in line to buy each time.
Great mountain. Good variety of blue runs, all lifts are pretty accessible and close. It is rather expensive, but worth it for the variety. Good amount of park options as well!
Great Ski Area! lots of variety in terrain. great terrain park. lines are pretty long before about 1030. parking fills up earlier than that though
Good for what it is but don't expect a resort style mountain. Very expensive for what you get.
Loved this place specially when there is a snow and this place is good for people who wants to do ski. During heavy winter and snow scenic rides are closed, only rides are open for ski. Check their website for more information about when scenic rides are open or not.
One of the most beautiful mountains I've visited. Facilities are super clean, renting a locker is so easy, and the terrain is super varied. Excellent tree skiing too, and runs for every skill level. Dope AF!!
Great service, great food, awesome instructors and fun fun slopes.
Lines are extremely long and slow for lift tickets and rentals. Staff could make it much faster. Once you re skiing it s fine.
Used to be my favorite mountain to go boarding but lately it's become overwhelmed by crowds. Parking lots are getting filled early in the day and there are long lines at every lift. Worst part is returning to Seattle now can take over 3 hours due to gold bar and sultan turning into parking lots on the way back. If they don't make improvements soon it's going to take less time for Seattle skiers and boarders to go to Crystal.
I enjoyed my time there but it can get extremely crowded. If you avoid pick dates the whole experience improves quite a bit.
One of the best places for skiing and snowboarding near Seattle! Amazing tree lines for those looking for pow all day.
The guides at Stevens are awesome. We went on a couple of days when the resort was operating a capacity and the guides who are around helping people out were awesome. One of the days the lots were full and there were sign directing us to the alpine center. It is a few miles down the road. There was a guide there who gave us a health bar, explained the bus schedule, how to get back in the evening. That really improved our experience. Another time we we're renting gear and a guide explained which line was the rental line, that helped us out. Even with the resort at capacity the magic carpet and green chair lines were reasonable. We skied there because our kids are still learning. Our friends were interested in lessons but reported lessons were filled months in advance. Lunch facilities are great, there are cafateria style dinning as well as restaurant style dinning. The snow quality was awesome. The drive from Seattle is about 2 hours and pretty easy being bare road pretty much to the carpark.
Absolute sh#% show after Vail bought the mountain. They raised the prices to 95$ for a weekend DAY PASS. There are numerous lights burnt out for the "night ops" when in reality its lit super poorly. They took out the pass scanners you walk through and replaced them with unhappy employees who have to scan everyone individually. The greed here is obvious, on a Saturday they fill up every parking lot then start filling the nordic lots with cars. The previous owners would only fill up one nordic lot after the tops lots were full. It becomes a saftey hazard because theres not enough terrain for that many people. My personall expierence have been garbage as well, I bought a night pass and the employee informed me it was from 3-close. When i go to the lift line im told that its not valid until 4 in a very rude matter even though I stated I was told differently from customer service. We also arrived at 9:30am with friends who purchased 2 online tickets for 184$ total. All lots including the nordic lots were crammed full and we didnt get a parking spot until 2:30pm. When we talked to customer service about there being no information on the website stating to get here before 8am if you want a spot, they wouldn't give us any money back for our full day tickets. Will never be going back to this mountain again. Avoid it like the plague.
It was way too cold. Employees needs to be a tad more friendly otherwise great place
One of my favorite local ski resorts; seems to me like Steven's micro climate is more consistent than Snoqualmie as far as more/drier snow...a bit less rainy. Primary reason I rate as 4star vs lower from below issues. The downside is parking availability/distance to lots can be really bad especially on busy weekends/holidays...as opposed to Snoqualmie. Very limited overnight lodging and cafes if needed....Snoqualmie has a few more options
Great local ski area that offers great food and the stevens pass people are super friendly. Winter is home for skiing and Summer is home for downhill biking...very fortunate to have such a great mountain resort so close to seattle. RV parking is an added bonus. Vail just purchased the resort and looks like they are already investing in the area. Hope it is able to maintain that local friendly PNW vibe!
DON'T GO TO S.P. ON HOLIDAY OR ON WEEKENDS, THE LANE IS CRAZY LONG. I arrived around 10:00 a.m. and waited for 3 hours to borrow a snowboard, it could be longer if you buy the ticket.
First visit at ski resort, all well organized, great skiing!
Every moron on Earth comes pouring out of here in groups of 10 with some delusion they're on the autobahn. Plus the law says when they pile up behind you like a soup kitchen you have to move over. So good luck trying to enjoy a peaceful drive through this otherwise beautiful part of the country.
First time going snowboarding and it was beautiful! It wasn't as cold as I expected it to be but there was a lot of snow. We did run into some problems but they fixed it and we continued on with lessons. We got some private lessons and our instructor, Jeff, was great! He showed us the basics and was incredibly patient with me. They have a great selection of rentals, boots, helmets, and boards.
Busy on the weekends. Vail's lift improvements next year hopefully will help. Enjoyed the variety of terrain and the friendly staff.
The slopes are nice, but sometimes they get too many people and you have to arrive pretty early to be able to park, and the lines are huge.
Love the friendly trainers and the view is beautiful
Parking can be hectic, get there early. Parking staff are super fantastic. Beginner area is perfect for the new to snow, but can be chaos on weekends. Instructors are all great, but lesson program is a pain. Need to make a reservation for a lesson over a month in advance. I would recommend packing a lunch.
This is my favorite snowboarding/ skiing area in the state it has everything you could want in variety of terrain to ride on from a terrain park to multiple hikable powder lines like big chief bowl, and rooster comb to huge groomer runs like big chief and hogsback and tye mill and the backside of the mountain. 5 star snowboarding in my opinion. And they are considerably higher altitude than snoqualmie pass.
Sometimes busy, but a great resort only two hours away.
Great family ski resort! Buy you lift tockets on line its so much cheaper!
I love working up here. The guests are great and my co-workers are the best.
If your purpose is to Ski, only between December to February or if you are just visiting come anytime of the year. Has free parking during off ski season( else it is only meant for resort customers only) and all restaurants and other facilities would be closed during off ski season. Go to Leavenworth city which is the nearest town with food options. It is quite a fantastic city to see as well. From the unique storefronts to overall atmosphere, there aren't many communities in Washington with as strong of a cultural influence as this German village.
Snow is great, the lines are long and the cost is high. Been going since I was a kid, starting to think about venturing out to other local resorts
This mountain is so relaxing, the runs aren't as tough as other mountains in WA. Prices are fair and is close to leveansworth.
One of the best areas to spend time and have fun snowboarding with friends and family!
Great Mountian. Underrated in some ways as the mountain offers great terrain and fu is a great place to get your stoke on! Now a Vail Resort with an Epic Pass option.
My favorite mountain resort! Great trails, good customer service, fun times.
I learned how to snowboard here during the week when it wasn t busy. First time doing a snow sport. Can t imagine a better set of slopes for me to learn on. Staff were VERY nice and helpful. The environment and customer base was great.
Don t have to worry about theft.
One guy ran up and told me I had dropped my helmet as he gave it back.
Everyone is friendly, and doesn t judge you when you suck at snowboarding.
They re even helpful, and told me how to get off the lift after smashing my face into the snow three times in a row.
People are respectful of the slow and beginners area.
There were kids out there with parents, and seemed to be perfectly fine.
If I m ever is Seattle again, I would love to vacation here.
P.S. the Airbnb lodging in the area will gouge you with their cleaning fees. Dumb
Great skiing, close to the Seattle, but generally super busy on the weekends. Arrive early if you want to get a parking spot on the weekends.
One of the three quintessential Washington ski areas. Never a bad time, no matter the conditions.
I learned to ski here and it was a great experience. In 2016 I decided to learn a new skill and took the old Learn in 3 Guarantee which they no longer offer but was an Amazing deal. Since they no longer the package I won t speak to it, however, and rather to the experience of learning at Stevens Pass.
The instructors are fun, knowledgeable, and patient. I found the experienced adult skiers kind and helpful towards me even as my learning process got in their way, and the beginners route Daisy has an easy to ride lift that they will slow down for you while you are learning to hop on and off and the operators are quick to pause it should you fall and no one complains about that when it happens.
I understand that the weekends become super crowded and the parking lot completely fills up on the weekends before the ski park even opens, I have never gone on a weekend.
Even when I was going regularly to develop my fledgling skills I only ever went on weekdays and on weekdays it is usually wide open routes, no lines to the lifts and plenty of space in the restaurants and bars. Night skiing is usually the same but it does get busy on Fridays.
This is a fun place to ski if you can dodge the busy weekends and holidays. The resort buildings and facilities are decent enough, though they fall far short of the fancier places you find in super expensive lodges like in Whistler or Telluride.
Stevens Pass is a standard-issue ski park and lodge and as such it does a great job. It provides good ski-routes to train and challenge any common level of skier that are fun, they have good lifts and good operators, their prices are typical for all services as well as access, and the bars/restaurants are completely adequate.
If they stepped up the comfort level and food quality in the lodges, and maybe improved the access to educational programs I would give them a perfect score.
As a guy who came here as an absolute beginner and have worked my way up to an average intermediate skier, I like Stevens Pass, it is everything I need and at a price point I can reach without feeling too guilty about coming regularly. I highly recommend it.
Friendly staff and great app... Ramen was nice and warm! :)
Just drove over and the views are always great and withheld season changing with autumn around the conner its going to gorgeous.
Home mountain love this place. Pro-tip put your ski check bracelet in your pocket not on your wrist so it doesn t get lost when you re removing your gloves!
Far better snow than you will find at Snoqualmie pass.
Been skiing here for 20 years. Excellent Washington skiing and best night skiing in the northwest maybe in the nation?
The mountain bike park gets a little better every year
I loved that place Ami family really like to go to this place
Perfect. No crowds, slick and sticky snow, and the sun even popped out for a bit.
Buy a package of lessons 'Learn-in-3-guarantee' -> get lots of cool discounts and deals, get a seasonal pass for the next season for $200 only and you will love Stevens like I do! :)
The resort and snow was good, but the runs were not marked very well
In the winter they have snowboarding and skiing. In the summer they have hiking and biking. All year around they have beauty. The best Pass hands down.
