I learned to ski here and it was a great experience. In 2016 I decided to learn a new skill and took the old Learn in 3 Guarantee which they no longer offer but was an Amazing deal. Since they no longer the package I won t speak to it, however, and rather to the experience of learning at Stevens Pass.

The instructors are fun, knowledgeable, and patient. I found the experienced adult skiers kind and helpful towards me even as my learning process got in their way, and the beginners route Daisy has an easy to ride lift that they will slow down for you while you are learning to hop on and off and the operators are quick to pause it should you fall and no one complains about that when it happens.

I understand that the weekends become super crowded and the parking lot completely fills up on the weekends before the ski park even opens, I have never gone on a weekend.

Even when I was going regularly to develop my fledgling skills I only ever went on weekdays and on weekdays it is usually wide open routes, no lines to the lifts and plenty of space in the restaurants and bars. Night skiing is usually the same but it does get busy on Fridays.

This is a fun place to ski if you can dodge the busy weekends and holidays. The resort buildings and facilities are decent enough, though they fall far short of the fancier places you find in super expensive lodges like in Whistler or Telluride.

Stevens Pass is a standard-issue ski park and lodge and as such it does a great job. It provides good ski-routes to train and challenge any common level of skier that are fun, they have good lifts and good operators, their prices are typical for all services as well as access, and the bars/restaurants are completely adequate.

If they stepped up the comfort level and food quality in the lodges, and maybe improved the access to educational programs I would give them a perfect score.

As a guy who came here as an absolute beginner and have worked my way up to an average intermediate skier, I like Stevens Pass, it is everything I need and at a price point I can reach without feeling too guilty about coming regularly. I highly recommend it.
