The guides at Stevens are awesome. We went on a couple of days when the resort was operating a capacity and the guides who are around helping people out were awesome. One of the days the lots were full and there were sign directing us to the alpine center. It is a few miles down the road. There was a guide there who gave us a health bar, explained the bus schedule, how to get back in the evening. That really improved our experience. Another time we we're renting gear and a guide explained which line was the rental line, that helped us out. Even with the resort at capacity the magic carpet and green chair lines were reasonable. We skied there because our kids are still learning. Our friends were interested in lessons but reported lessons were filled months in advance. Lunch facilities are great, there are cafateria style dinning as well as restaurant style dinning. The snow quality was awesome. The drive from Seattle is about 2 hours and pretty easy being bare road pretty much to the carpark.
