Amazing views, great staff and wonderful skiing. Parking is definitely an issue on the weekends, with the lots full you will have to park 20 minutes east and take a shuttle, and hope that isn't full...

Pretty good snowboarding here but lift tickets are fairly expensive. I don't think this is the best place for beginners because there's only a few green runs and they're pretty short, but if you can at least do the blues then you should have a good time. There are some pretty fun blues but really they're still only short to medium length at best. It's at least better than Snoqualmie though!

I grew up at Stevens. I swear I know every inch of that mountain (except for Wild Catz, which they added and I haven't looked for it yet). It's got some of the most diverse terrain in the area, from bunny hills to cliffs to everything else you could possibly want. Andre, one of the lead instructors at the ski school up there, said for years that if you can ski Stevens, you can ski anywhere else in the world. I've found that to be very true. Never have I met a slope that I can't attack. When I'm at Whislter, Big Sky, or Steamboat, I always end up thinking something like "oh, it's like the lift run on southern cross after the drop off, except with wimpier moguls" or "this field is just like Aquarius face, except without the cascade concrete and with a longer wait in line."

Stevens is the kind of place that reminds me that skiing is an extreme sport. If you want challenge, you can always find it on the mountain. Pick a superlative and apply it to Stevens. Steepest stuff I've seen, thickest powder I've encountered, biggest dumps of snow I've gotten stuck in (up to my waist!).

Past that, it still has something for everyone. Start off on Daisy and move to hogs. When those blues become too easy (which are diamonds in most of the rest of the country), go try stuff off of Barrier (now called Skyline, I guess) and Orion and Corona bowl on the backside. Do Rock Garden off of 7th (it's not a double diamond if you stick to the main face, you'll be fine). If double diamond and the lift line off of chief aren't enough for you, go jump off the cliffs on Tye Mill and 7th.

Spend enough time on the mountain, and you'll find the good spots. Even if they aren't spots that I think are good, they'll be good to you.

Happy skiing, folks. Stay warm.

i really wanted to give this place 5 stars because it deserves it but sadly vail has made this a 4 star resort now. anything they touch gets destroyed buts another story. staff were very friendly and welcoming and of course the best skiing ever. so much snow i couldnt believe it. only down side is you will pay $3 for a single small banana, imagine the rest of the vail prices for food : /

side note, not sure why vail keeps destroying their reputations across NA, every single person who works there hates the company, every person who skis at the places vail owns, hates vail. yea they make money like a company should but at what cost? its a joke in the skiing community that vail is trash and is destroying all resorts. kinda like the china of the world, they are doing ok, but deep down everyone knows they are evil.

Always love this place, never disappoints. Lots of terrain parks from beginner to advanced and a variety of fun blue runs. The blanks and double blacks are tough but always felt safe as there are always people around.

Tl;dr: Overall, very skiable mountain, good varied terrain. Prices a bit steep. Very crowded on weekends and often runs out of parking.

Long wide rambling: I've been going here since college and great mountain. I've only been once since vail took over and seemed normal, except the prices. While there's something great about improving the overall experience by upgrading lifts, there's also something about keeping costs lower and keeping accessibility wide. It depends on the mountains mission and being owned by distant dudes in suits kinda tells you the direction. Baker is still locally owned, but slower and not as swanky. If stevens drastically increased acreage within the next 5 years, then the high increase in cost would start to make a bit more sense.

More snow and more lifts than Wednesday, opening day, also no lines in the afternoon. The lift ladies were doing snow dances which worked so fingers crossed it will continue. The lift people are awesome!

I was unfortunate enough to have TWO parts of my snowboard break while on this mountain. With times I took it to the on site repair shop and they helped me get back on the mountain in record time and without breaking the bank either. The mountain was awesome the lodge was cozy. Can't wait to go back.

Good place to ski. Plan your travel early, as the parking lots are full as early as 9 am during weekends. We found a parking at Yodelin that is 1.6 miles from summit. Its good to have a car chain in your car, especially if your car is not a all wheel drive. The staff is very friendly at the Vail resort. I had taken a ski lesson. The instructors are really good.

This is my home mountain so I m biased but Stevens is a fantastic resort all round. The terrain is plentiful and varied, the staff are helpful and friendly, the repair shop team is EXCELLENT, the lodge facilities have everything you need, and I ve been told the ski lessons are some of the best around. As is usually the case at ski resorts, the food prices are as steep as some of the terrain and the life lines can be very long, but as long as you get there early on weekends (before 8:15am) you should always be guaranteed a parking spot. I d love to see more community events at the mountain and a cap/constraint on the ever increasing day lift ticket prices ($67 in 2016/17, now $94 in 2018/19 season).

There are a great variety of really fun runs. RFID lift ticket gates are very nice. Parking lots are terrible and always full. Newer lifts are nice but there are still a lot of older sketchy ones.

Stevens has some cool terrain but always messes something up. Food is bad or not enough food areas open or a lift doesn't spin resulting in 45 minute lines... They need to get it together.

Traffic on 2 is also pretty bad.

They have decent snow and typically one of the top 10 places in North America for snow accumulation. They have two buildings. One is mainly for taking breaks and eating and the other building has food on the second floor, with a rental shop and a gear store on the first floor. The shop is mainly for adults than for children.

Parking on the weekends can be difficult! They tend to be full by 9:30 am-10 am. They have more blue and black runs, but only one green run. The runs can take 5-10 minutes to get down.

In terms of terrain variety, Stevens Pass is arguably the best in Washington. Killer park(s), amazing tree skiing, and fun groomers. The downside for Stevens, however, is hands down their sparse parking -- if you're not showing up at least an hour before the lifts open, good luck finding a spot...

Pros: Beautiful place to snowboard, ski and more!! The guides and personal trainers are very nice and always seem happy to help with advice.
Cons: If you're new or friends are new, its hard to find a spot or hill to practice without having people blocking your way or kicking you out because instructors and students are priority(a fix for that, just be there as soon as they open, not late evening when its packed) Also, coffee $4... not worth it, bring your own. Also if you're a vegan, not many to choose from other than fries. And their bean burger ,I was told, was vegetatian not vegan. So just bring your own coffee and vegan foods!!
But other than that, this is a great place to have a good time with snow, beginners and all!!

Nice staff and the slopes are great. It gets busy on the weekends which is problematic with the insufficient parking spaces but either come in before 10am or after 1pm and you ll be fine.

They could probably use an extra green run, but loads of pretty easy blues here. Lots of fun runs and usually has nice snow.
