Great location, and breakfast. Pool was kept at a very low temperature. Couldn't stay in it for longer then jumping in and then out. A Male attendant was a tad snippy. When trying to set up a time for a massage, the lady was pushing for a time, while I was explaining that I'm in a group tour and don't want to get cancellation fee or tie her schedule up, she seemed upset with me. The next day I wanted to set up a time but not opening till 1pm and then told the first hour is for set up, i explained 2pm is too late. I set expectation I would come by next day if I had time, again due to group tour and lateness of opening. I returned that night to a note that "they had tried me. All day.... and to call them"
I felt the note had a little attitude towards me not being available, yet through all this, didn't listen to the 5 times I explained I was with a group and didn't want to set time. I wouldn't be saying this, until I found the note under the door. I've waited a few days, but decided I needed to address the situation and bring light to it. Other then the experience in the spa with 2 different workers, the hotel was awesome

We got a suite and it is very nice. Dog had plenty of room to go around. Spa is nice and relaxing. Pool is great with overflowing water wall that sound nice for relaxing. We also had a second room for the teenages. The first few hours the kids could not get the Internet working and after an attempt to fix it anotjer room was given to us
Breakfast fas amazing.

Not a 5 star hotel, 3 stars are more likely; we didn't have enough towels at the first night. We didn't also have shower gel and hand soap in the room. We bought it from the store. The hotel is quite old, no renovation made recently. The breakfast was good, but the sparkling wine finished too early.

Unfortunately, very disappointing. I can understand that on New Year's Eve there are many tourists with fewer demands in the hotel, but that does not justify the experience. It starts when you are sent away from the reception about an hour before the regular check-in time ("Come back in about an hour") instead of being suggested to sit down or have a coffee in the restaurant. We were just sent away. The rooms are ok and correspond to the older condition of the building, but you can't really expect much. The breakfast disappointed, as all the bread rolls were either hard or dry. An egg dish (omelet) was neither offered at a counter nor to be ordered. The spa area is very cramped and there is a strong smell from the toilets. The sauna area is very run down and winding. Above the pool is a roof hatch with green mold and electrical cables hanging down. This is what you look at when you take a seat on one of the deckchairs. The partner massage booked started 10 minutes later because the staff did not show up on time. The massage room is a converted hotel room, everything seemed very improvised. The booked aroma massage, in which there were various oils to choose from according to the prospectus, proved to be a listless pressure through towels, any oil was only partially used. Everything very impersonal. You always had the feeling that you just wanted to pass through the non-returning New Year's tourists. In the evening, no one could be reached by telephone, either at room service, housekeeping or at the reception, despite repeated attempts. But it wouldn't have worked anyway, because you couldn't find a room service card in our "Deluxe" room.

The hotel itself is great that's why we wanted to come back. But 1 month ago when we were there twice, the pool area was closed and the breakfast was unfortunately a disaster for the money you pay for it dort

Nice hotel, good location, very good breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms are clean, only the TV apparently bad reception?

During the first visit in May, it was quiet in the rooms, with a view of the park. In December we had the room on the street side, very noisy in the room.

Otherwise, for me there is nothing bad to say about the hotel.

A very classy hotel, without being overbearing. You feel very welcome, there is nothing obsessively set up there. The breakfast buffet is a dream, nothing is missing. The rooms are big, clean and quiet. Only the minibar is not so well stocked. There is no wine or sparkling wine, only beer, which is not a Berlin beer, and soft drinks.

Super great hotel

Super great hotel
Breakfast excellent

The food was great and the service super friendly.
Gladly again.

We were very happy with our stay at Steigenberger. The room was clean and a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. There was a good selection of tea and coffee available in the room and this was topped up every day.The hotel is conveniently located for restaurants and shopping. There are U-bahn stations nearby (a travel pass was included in our booking) and the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Berlin Zoo as well! The wifi could have been a little better, it did drop out a few times but we didn't pay extra for it so not complaining. We didn't use any of the other facilities at the hotel (restaurant, breakfast etc.) so can't comment on those but overall we would definitely come back to stay at Steigenberger.

I wonder where the ***** show up. Only the top location deserves stars.
Three of them squeezed into a small double room.
Only after being asked and advised that the room is for 3 people. was booked, then came a 180 cm long, or better said, too short, delivery !!! platform !!! mind you, not bed. Mattress with a thickness of about 5cm fits. But then after a complaint against the folding bed it was 180cm! exchanged. Why not like that right away? Cover was a blanket in the duvet cover. Much too cold for December. The window remained closed accordingly, which then caused a headache the next day. I pointed it out twice, but the blanket stayed.
Sitting area was oops due to the bunk ..., then of course the folding bed was no longer available.
Over 200, - the night without breakfast. i.e. per person over 70, - The one on the bed was pissed off. Understandable! ***** and sleep on a bunk? Incomprehensible!!! two stars less and would you have slept on the floor in the laundry room?
Bathroom enough for one person. Unfortunately the bath / shower wall was too small and the bathroom was under water from the splash. After three people it was time to clean or slide
No ceiling lights in the room. Five standing / table lamps distributed, but they only produced dim light. Search in the suitcase turned out to be difficult. Closet was only intended for two people.
For the little room, the price / performance ratio wasn't right at all. You shouldn't charge more than 100 - 130 per night for the room. TV (picture was very crisp and not clear) and wifi is already standard in the smallest guesthouses. Are used to Pullmann (November) and cheaper hotels *** / inns (September October) equivalent or even better.
The too small and then still round pool is not suitable for swimming. Massages were very appealing.

our conclusion: Steigenberger is more appearances than it is! Not recommended for guests with high demands

Hotel has a good location, but far from the 5-star hotel. The rooms are like the hotel in the years. The breakfast does not correspond to the level of a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is extremely overpriced for 25 euros. Wi-Fi is very weak in the room. The beds in the deluxe suite are only 80 cm wide. For big people a little too small. I know a lot of hotel and compared to other hotels with less stars this does not cut very well. Pity had hoped for more.

Was here last week for training. The hotel itself deserves all its stars rightly: everything was very classy, clean and a friendly and courteous service. The only problem is the parking spaces, as almost all areas in the area have to be paid for

We really enjoyed the time at the Steigenberger Hotel Berlin (Am Los Angeles Platz). Location within walking distance to Zoo Station. Service and staff was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent! Only small complaint was the wi-fi in the rooms. That was very weak. Everything else super! We will be back in April!

Great!

Wonderful hotel in the center. I really liked the design of the room. It was autumn. The room was warm - for me this is important. Everything is clear. Breakfast for 25 euros is amazingly delicious. On my floor there was a gym and somewhere there was a pool. I did not use them, but the addition is pleasant

Very disappointed with this hotel.

Very disappointed with this hotel.

Positive:
- close to everything. Shopping, tourist atractions and public transportation.
- the beds are really comfortable and I had two good nights of sleep

Negative:
- not a luxury hotel. The standard is just ok. I had a "superior double room", but was left disappointed. I have been to better and cheaper hotels in Berlin before.
- the wifi connection on my room was horrible. I have never experienced such a bad connection. An easy google search took 1 minute
- the bathroom was old fashioned and the heat in the floor did not work
- the employees in the reception were helpful but also really arrogant and rude

We dined here for two evenings in Berlin. From where we were seated we could see the Chef plate up. It was wonderful to observe the skill and attention to detail. Pure theatre to observe. Our meals both evenings were superb and we were indeed blessed to have Mr Hildenhagen as our waiter whose knowledge of the menu gave us confidence. As I am unfamiliar with German red wine I asked our waiter to suggest one. Mr Hildenhagen's choice of wine, a Dornfelder from Pfalz, was inspired and a perfect match for our duck breast. When our deserts arrived we looked in amazement at some of the best presented deserts we have seen. They were delicious..

Now, if you think we are being extravagant in our praise I invite you to read our critical review of our dining experience at a sister hotel The Steigenberger Park Hotel Braunschweig, which by contrast was rather poor by comparison.

We believe that so many restaurants aim at O.K and are satisfied if they achieve that standard. But, to observe a restaurant that aims for perfection and achieves that standard is very rare indeed, and therefore deserves to be recognised and praised. We considered the price to be reasonable for this standard of dining experience.

So it's Bravo Management, Bravo Chef, and a special Bravo to our waiter Mr Hildenhagen, a true professional

With a somewhat unconformable concern, I came to the hotel and thanks to good communication between the staff was helped with purposeful. As this is the processing of a first-ever Candle Light Dinner of the Steigenberger Hotel in cooperation with the Berlin Zoo, I can only rate the service as very good as part of the transaction.

My name is Liebke, I was outraged 2 days ago at this point about our nightly check-in. Thanks to a very positive management intervention by Mrs. K. Rothkegel she managed to keep our stay in a very, very good memory. The situation is important, but we attach great importance to ease of service and ultimately were not disappointed: great service, just typical Steigenberger. We say thank you and come back!

Rooms were clean and nice spacious. The breakfast itself was very good. Of all, enough choice. The only downside I would rate the service at the breakfast buffet. On the second day I was offered no coffee. Does not go in my opinion. Often we walked past our table. Seen that I have no coffee and still not asked if it may be something. For 5 stars blamabel. Otherwise the hotel is really nice. Other service excellent. (Reception and room service)

Was there for a three day congress and it was great. Room was clean, comfy and spacious. I did not get to use the spa but a lot of guests were making use of it seems like a good option. It was well connected to the city center and airport, they even provided us with a free public transport pass during our stay, I don't know if this common in Berlin but it was a novelty for us. There even was an issue with some guest charging beers on the hotel bar on my rooms account and staff resolved it quickly and without forcing an uncomfortable situation for me. I can't comment on price as I was not who made the booking, but it was a great stay overall.

Good business hotel. We had booked with breakfast which was really good. On the second day, however, we had to wait 20 minutes until we got coffee cups. The service from the next table has always looked through us. Does not go for a hotel with such a claim.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Upscale and has all amenities you'd expect. It's not modern in style but hold up well to classic without being kitsch. Have a really nice bar for a drink before bed and you are just minutes away from shopping and activities

It is about 5 minutes on foot from Berlin Zoo Station. You need to be careful because there is a hotel with the same name by the central station. I have a bitter memory that I intended to stay at the same hotel as my friend but I took a different hotel from each other
Although the hotel itself is clean and narrow because it belongs to the category of luxury hotels, it is larger than that of Japan although it is small. It seems that enough because there was a pot and a bathtub too
There is no place to eat so much, so I recommend that you take a walk and walk towards the zoo station.
However, it should be noted that there are many occasions where the people who hold a bottle of water form a multi-party party and make strange voices, especially on weekend nights etc.
When I look out for a cleaning worker who cleans a lot of jars in the morning, I feel that I need to add more

Good central location, easy to reach by public transport. Great and rich breakfast. The buffet was constantly replenished. Rooms were ok in size. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the room wasn't that great. The shower was calcified and dirty on the floor. The processes were torn and the walls scratched ... in the hotel folder was something from recently renovated, that seems to have been there for a long time ...

liked it

Arrival Friday, 6:30 p.m. and when moving into a room complained that - despite notifying the hotel in advance - no king but two single beds. 19:00 promise check in: will immediately with one
"Topper" fixed. 20:00 reminder. Sorry apology, "will be done immediately!". 22:00: Unfortunately housekeepingbnot found a topper. Will be done the following day. Saturday, 18:00, arrival in the room - nothing happened. Complaint to counter. Big promise: we'll do it until you return from dinner! . 23:00 return. Nothing done. I don't have to mention how ignored and fooled you feel as a guest

Nice service at reception, however I had to wait for my room additional two hours. Staff offered to keep my luggage for this time. Room was clean and comfortable. I had a feeling that there is too small amount of elevators, as sometimes it took few minutes of wait till one will arrive, and you had no guarantee that you will fit inside. Nice breakfast, however I could not find vegetables - asked personnel was confused, but agreed, that they are missing. After few minutes they bringed them directly to my table.

Five star hotel quite modest. Four stars would be great. Quiet location on the edge of the park. No noise for anything. Outside, not inside. The Wi-Fi was supposed to be excellent, but it had to bite all the time.

Catastrophic!

Catastrophic!
Really one of the Steigenberger hotels that is not worthy of him.

We were there a long time ago with two people.
We were treated like second class people because we were on a pub crawl in Berlin with two boys.

When I ordered room service on the first day to order beer, I got a call on the room phone 5 minutes later, please come and pay, you would not be sure whether we can pay the bill. (Very bold when booking in a 5 star hotel)

After I then ask the trainee to make an appointment with the hotel management, there should be a clarifying discussion.
This conversation was absolutely unproductive.

On departure we were accused of having vandalized the room after the hotel manager at the time went upstairs to make sure she apologized. (Please? Why not look first before making such claims)

All in all, a catastrophe, I am happy to be a guest in other Steigenberger hotels, but I will never enter this shop again.

The location right on the Ku'damm is optimal. The parking directly in the parking garage next door or in the hotel are cheap. Hotel is definitely recommended for a Berlin trip. Always happy again.

Beautiful hotel. Staff can't do enough for you. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Could do with more sugar & milk, coffee that sort of stuff but apart from that I'd you call reception they will soon deliver to room. Excellent swimming pool & sauna area. Would definitely come back again & again. Very close to bars & restaurants expensive in this area but like the Westend London prices but you do get what you pay for. Couldn't fault any of it.

Well this is a great hotel .. however! It's completely let down by the completely incompetent bar staff! I stayed there for 6 days.. just about everything else was perfect! The rooms, service staff, Reception, the breakfast was amazing! .. They have two bars, I tried both, there is something seriously wrong with the bar management.. Order a drink and you have to wait 20 minutes before its delivered.. goodness knows why? Some nights it wasn't even busy.. but i promise you .. you'll still have to wait!.. Honestly!.. It wasn't just me! Everyone in my group experianced this problem .. Basically, the bar staff have an attitude problem! If you do stay there.. get out and try a few local bars.
