Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam Review

Lovely Hotel. Wonderful staff, they was very helpful with enquiries and assisting me. I really liked the fact that they upgraded my room at no extra cost, due to the fact that there was a miscommunication prior to booking at the hotel.

However the room was nicely decorated with a feature wall, two flat screen Tv's and a mini bar. The view was really lovely especially when it snowed.

On the other hand, they've got a games room and also a swimming pool with two restaurants and a pub so I would say you are spoilt for choice with many activities to do in the hotel if you didn't want to leave.

Spacious and comfortable room, fitness room and nice spa .. a very good stay. Only downside the blower room is too noisy long taste.

Perfekt Hotel all what you need to be satisfied....gym...very good breakfast.....top reception services....close to the airport...walk-in distance to the GAT .....

Ok for a Airport Hotel, but (as allways) a serious problem with cleanliness. Sorry - not for this price per night...

Stayed overnight at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel, fantastic. Let me have a massage, swim and enjoy a delicious meal in the Italian restaurant, spend the rest of the evening in the Sport & Media bar, cozy atmosphere, and stay. Room is super luxurious and the breakfast is very extensive. In short, stranded at Schiphol or being pampered in the Amsterdam area: The Steigenberger Airport Hotel can offer it all.

Spacious and nicely decorated room with very comfortable bedding.
We were accommodated by the airline as a missed connection, but were not disappointed.

Nice hotel near the airport with great breakfast buffet.

I stayed one night. The hotel appears to be a professional business hotel but the service in just about every aspect is lacking. I waited in a long line at the front desk to check-in after the shuttle delivered a van load of guests. Only one person was working the front desk. Staff could see the back-up but it took nearly 10 minutes for another person to help out. There was no one to drive the shuttle to the airport the following morning at the departure time scheduled (every 30 minutes on the hour). I had to go to front desk and ask if the shuttle would be going to the airport. We finally left 10 minutes after the scheduled time when an employee (not a the scheduled driver) said he would drive us. I waited on hold every time I called the front desk or hung up after 10+ rings. I expected a better experience.

Great shuttle bus (maybe MAYBE he is driving a bit too fast but the schedule is tight), great check in, great rooms, great spa and pool and workout facilities ...

Airport Hotel. A little luxury. But very far from everything and isolated. Dear for the restoration. And I do not even talk about the bar ... huge breakfast buffet but what a mess. For a price of 29

Nice rooms with wonderful beds. Bathrobe, slippers, heated mirrors in the bathroom: this hotel understands that such details are important.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Was put here as a stranded guest for a flight getting canceled. Checked into the room, immediately smelled like piss, food was terrible, only half way decent item was the french fries from the bar. Didn t even bother ordering a drink as I was sitting at the dirty bar, fruit flies are flying around. How the hell do you get fruit flies in the middle of winter?!! The breakfast buffet in the morning was decent though. However, leaving that morning to take the 9AM shuttle, and it ends up being 15 minutes late, all the passengers on the shuttle are from the canceled flight and we don t leave till 9:30AM, bus driver knows this and has no sense of urgency, decides to go to the bathroom for 10 minutes and then I ask him nicely if we re leaving yet and all he says is there s a traffic jam. THIS PLACE IS A SELF RATED 4 STAR HOTEL, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE ON MY OWN. I VE STAYED IN A CAMPGROUND IN TENT NICER AND THAT HAD BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN THIS HOTEL.

It's a good hotel.
The room was quite big, comfortable and quiet.
There's a small living space with a sofa and a small table, plus a small but comfortable working desk
The bed was really comfortable.
It's available a well equipped fitness center and a SPA
The breakfast is excellent.

Been here for a 3-day seminar. The hotel in general is decent, nice rooms and really nice breakfast, HOWEVER and during my whole stay I had a souvenir from the previous gues in my roomt: An used condom wrapper!! On the floor, in plain sight. Even after notifying the reception, it they did not manage to remove it. I guess that says a lot about the cleanliness...

Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Modern hotel, direct connection with parking, massage parlor and spa. I recommend.

Very nice hotel, it's just a 4 stars hotel. Strange that paying for parking space is not included in room reservations. Its 25 euros a day.

It's about 25 minutes to Amsterdam city center by car. But could be longer.

We got stranded because of very bad weather, so we had a night layover at this really great hotel. We were obviously not the only people and it was late at night. The stuff was friendly and helpful, even there probably did overtime that night. They had food prepared even after there restaurant hours. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Absoutely the longest check in time I've ever experienced but that may have been due to a particular staff member who managed to check in two people whilst the next desk checked in 9 people. Really frustrating start. Room smelled like someone had a dog in it. Hair left in the bathroom. Not happy at all.

A faultless hotel stay. Clean, tidy, well thought out with professional and attentive staff. Great facilities with a free shuttle bus service to Schiphol airport. Enjoyed a swim and sauna, food very tasty.

Decent hotel for little money. Excellent food and service. To the center by taxi 50 euros - do not give more. The counter will be 55-60, bargain. You can save a lot on public transport. Near the hotel passes a bus 180. Payment ONLY BY CARD or earlier at the box office at the aero or railway station to buy travel cards. From the center - from the square, take the train to the airport (1 stop), and from there take a bus directly under the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised at every turn by this hotel. My double hotel room costed $130 a night and included minibar access. Very reasonable prices with every single amenity imaginable. The airport shuttle saved me from the ridiculous Uber prices. Highly recommend.

I was at Steinberger forum a conference in Sequoia. Rooms were fine. Catering OK.

Airport hotel with perfect soundproofing. You can see the landing planes, but hardly hear. Underground parking is available. There is a good connection with the hotel bus to the airport. From there you can also reach Amsterdam Centraal Station in a few minutes by train.

After getting to hit in our room and not having any luck with the maintenance man, I called the reception. We were given a new room with working a/c right away. We are now happy and comfortable. The lady at the reception was wonderful with check in and with the change of room! I give her 5 stars, too!

Great location for a connecting flight and nice hotel overall. However the bedding of good quality has already lived well.

Hotel was fine. However in the bar very pricey, including 3.95 for a Chaudefontaine spring water is very tender.

One of the best hotel of the platform that I could test. It's my systematic place when I go around and I go there often. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Solid furniture and quality bathroom. The breakfast is very complete. One of the best for this type of hotel. The Aquatic Center is really great: pool steam room ... the restaurants are worth it but if you want calm avoid the pub a little noisy. Airport shuttle every 1/2 hour

It looks good but the tratoria restaurant should be faster to serve, you can not wait 1h10min for a Risotto in a restaurant with 8 people for dinner.

Great laid back hotel! Beautiful rooms super nice beds and a delicious breakfast. Free access to fitness, spa and swimming pool. What more could a hotel guest want?

Expensive hotel with excellent service and cuisine. Shuttle service to and from the airport is free every hour. The hotel has conference rooms.

My flight was changed, so I needed a hotel another day (in the same week). And no longer on the booked day. No possibility to change.
No refunds, no credit. Noppes.
I would if I paid 200 euros extra for a room that costs 78 euros.

Fortunately, the competitor did this free of charge. Now (and from now on) booked with the competitor. This was the last time I booked with steinberger hotel.

Beautiful room. Average home. Nobody speaks French. The air conditioning was not working and the shower head was damaged ... we stayed one night so we did not report it. Sheets, bathroom, comfortable bathtub and perfect cleanliness. The room is spacious and the accessories such as lamps, desk etc etc are superb. We will come back

Nice hotel. With a parking garage for guests under the building. Delicious eaten. Too bad the sports bar was in a renovation.

This is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel, but they don t allow dogs almost nowhere in the hotel. Since we arrived late at night, we tried to have dinner in the Sports Bar down in the Hotel Hall and they denied us the access with our dog. Rules regarding dogs should be cleared ahead (as they make sure you know you will have to pay 20 per night for the dog, the same about does and dont s regarding them). Despite the friendly staff, we are sorry but we are not coming back again :(

Parking space under hotel is limited. This can be an issue when events are hosted in the hotel!
