Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam Review

As for transit passenger to sleep overnight, it was a good place to stay. Quiet and clean room. Very expensive to eat, but the quality of food is superb.

Close to Schipol Amsterdam Airport, reachable by private shuttle. Great. Rooms are warm and comfortable. Perfect service. Recommended

Good airport hotel. Wifi is stable and usable. Wish the(good) breakfast opened earlier than 0630! Nice relax/spa area.

Made for a wonderful layover. The fantastic staff made the experience delightful. The rooms were spacious and had everything you could need for a quick stop over.

A nice and efficient hotel close to the Schiphol Airport. Seems to have everything you'd expect, but feels rather impersonal and utilitarian. Not saying it's not nice, but doesn't seem to have any character. But for the money a good value, especially if you need to stay by the airport

Very well signposted and you bribda all the complementary options, transport, shopping center and others.

Clean hotel, personnel at Reception are not willing to help - my reservation was cancelled due to their technical reason without notice and I was informed at arrival that no rooms available. After some delay they said that they reconfirm my reservation but not what I have booked. Very disappointed.
he response from the hotel is misleading - my complain was about that they did not notify me about cancellation. My credit card was valid.

It has a very responsive staff and services and a cozy rooms and varieties of breakfast to choose from

Toilet had dried pee stains from previous guest. Floor had peanut shells still from previous guest.
The mattress is a joke... it is fully covered in latex so you can t take it off.. you sweet like crazy during the night.
Very uncomfortable...
The Schnitzel in the Restaurant was swimming in oil and burnt on the sides...
Steigenberger has really lost me!!!!

Even if the quality of a 4 * is there, no customization in the way of taking into account a customer. Very impersonal from the reception to the restoration. Very good breakfast very varied and of quality but a staff overflowed and too attentive to train and rid quickly without any consideration for the customers, two coffee machines and more than one hundred cutlery simultaneously .... pity. Dinner at very excessive price and no interest, plate and main course cold. Yet I chose the chef's menu.

Very neat hotel. Large rooms. Good restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Very centrally located at A4 and Schiphol. Every half hour shuttle to Schiphol in 12 minutes.

I stay in this hotel frequently. When the hotel is not busy they are usually fine but when it's busy season expect dirty sheets, unchanged towels and que at front desk.

Stayed there for a month for business, payed by company. If first impression was that of a 4 star, quickly I felt something was kind of wrong. Dirty carpets, flat pillows, failed lifts (every two days, even had to clim stairs to 6th floor once), impersonal staff, rip-off food (my friend ordered Caeser salad which arrived without...chicken) and breakfast (2nd most expensive in my worldwide experience of hotels), expensive car-park...no value for money, would certainly recommend another location.

We arrived and our pre-booked via a third party reservation could not be served in the form. There was no room left that had room for an extra bed. The reception gave us a junior suite. Where two double rooms were not bad. Because one of three had to sleep well or bad on the couch. An unpleasant experience.

The suite is well laid out and can be split with a sliding glass door. Moreover, it is well equipped according to the star standard. The rooms are relatively quiet despite the airport. There is an airport shuttle service with the hotel's bus 24 hours a day. Otherwise, the hotel seems a bit old, and this is not the usual Steigenberger standard in terms of modernity.

One of my fellow travelers had made the booking. I have my credit card at the front desk for the deposit. Nevertheless, I was later charged an extra bed, although the booker was actually someone else.

Neat rooms, conveniently located near Schiphol good transver service from and to Schiphol. Neat covered and spacious parking for parking during the holidays.

Hotel is nice but breakfast is overpriced and TV did not work.

A really great hotel with extremely attentive staff.

I stayed here for a conference.
My room was nice, very big and clean. The decor wasn't the most modern and was a bit 90'ies I thought, however very well maintained.
Staff overall was friendly and attentive.
The food in the main restaurant was fantastic. We had a buffet that was of outstanding quality with a large variety of choice for any taste.
The reason this isn't a five star rating from me is that on my first night the staff in their Italian restaurant was very unfriendly in my opinion. Not rude in a sense but I think just young and uneducated. I certainly didn't feel special that night.
Other than that I can't fault the place.

Everything was great from start to finish !!!! The rooms absoulute great! The showers totally clean and the rooms too !!! Right in the city center !!! Service also absolutely great

I am Belgian, I arrived in the hotel so the room cost us 115 euros per night.
Where to start ? The welcome not warm, when we talk to the lady of the home she does not answer us and we do not even look !!
Let's go to the room, really really not clean dust galore in every nook but fortunately the staff reacted very quickly !! ..
Good then ? why pay the parking of the hotel in addition ?? I strongly advise against!

Very very bad! At 9am on Sunday morning drill intense noise from works in the upstairs bedroom! I call the reception, they say they will do something and the noise continues for hours! Horrible ... never again! Instead of closing the rooms let reservations in it! Last time we booked here!

I have stayed 5 different otels in Amsterdam, Steigenberger was the best from quality point of view.

Very comfortable but quite complicated to go downtown with public transport

The location is terrible, in the middle of nowhere with low frequency shuttle not available in the night. Dedinitely an unconfortable location to visit Amsterdam and the rest of the country, OK if you do not care about the city. The service could be also improved.

It is a nice hotel.It is little far from the airport.Since the hotel provides pick and drop , the stay does not remain inconvenient any more.

Picked up my mate from the airport and needed to find a pub quick to watch Champion's League final in Matly. This place is no Kurhaus. Although food (I ordered sate as its hard to get it wrong) was OKish, the service was absolutely appalling. Its waiters took ages to come, taken orders with an attitude as if we weren't paying guests. Won't be back...

Room was okay. Outdated... no usb socket to charge phone. Stone age. Do not expect from buffet a lot. I also asked for a baby crib. Didnt show up........

Fairly basic, my bathroom drain smelled like rot. Nasty!!! Staff was generally friendly though...

Dont stay here as a single woman. Tried to eat a meal at the hotel bar, felt immediately uncomfortable as the only single female, with large groups of guys, single guys, etc. I asked to take my meal to my room and was told I could not. So I sat at the bar. The guy down the bar kept staring at me with a big smile while I was eating and looking me up and down. I told him to stop staring, I'm not interested. He he said "I can look if I want". I asked the bar staff if these can please tell this ** guy to leave me in peace. They were upset with me for my use of language and causing a scene, but not with him. Then he tried again to start a conversation with me. I left the bar and went to hotel management. They said the guy reported to them that he had "no idea" of the situation. So I left my food on the bar, lost all my appetite and went back to my room. This is not the kind of situation a client should have to deal with on their own. Very disappointed that the hotel did not look out for me, and instead I was left to feel like a piece of meat on display for this man's enjoyment. So I had to leave the bar, and not eat the food I paid for. Typical, and sad. Especially coming from a 4* establishment. It's a pity, as the facilities are nice.

Breakfast is delicious. There are not many kinds of food, but every one is small.

Uneducated and chauvinistic staff. Do not provide them with your bank card number. Use only cash for payments.

Excellent hotel, super service and very friendly staff. Only black mold in the bathroom in the joints and sealants. Furthermore, had a great stay!

I just love the hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Bar, restaurant, service and everything is just lovely. I enjoyed the stay. See you Next time of course.
