On Monday May 4, 2020, I visited Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for service on my Jeep Compass. Generally speaking my service visits are pleasant & uneventful and the service representatives go above and beyond & waiting area is very comfortable. But I have never took the time to write a review.
But this week was different.
TERRY HYNES was the STAR of Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
She did the jobs of 3 persons.
*service representator ( her job)
* transport cars back to the mechanic in the work area (driver's job)
* Took the payment for services rendered (cashier's job)
And managed it all, in her same professional & friendly manner.
There were a few complaining customers who are always disgruntal & difficult, but she never lost her composure.
And she has been going at this pace for 2 weeks.
Theresa Hynes should be commended for her outstanding performance as a Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram representative, and her excellent customer service qualities.

I worked there so I don't have anything nasty to say other then they need to update there service when it comes to customers and to update the place to our Century. They have a few good people who work there but just make sure you ask for Jean or Will they will take good care of you

My experience at this dealership was great. The young man Brian Perez that worked with me was excellent. He was able to help me with all of my needs. The other people that was helpful as well was the manager Ray, their receptionist Selenia and the financial adviser was wonderful as well. I would recommend this dealership to my family and friends.
This place service department is the absolute worst....my car has been in there for over a month..I went there yesterday and they claim to have 2 cars ahead of mine which makes no sense if I got a call two weeks ago from highway patrol saying they were about to tow my car cause it was left abandoned on the side of the highway.....I go to find out what the hell is going on and they tell me they fixed it they were just test driving it and it broke down....so how your test driving it cause its fixed but I go there yesterday and you tell me there are two cars ahead of mine the mechanic is working on? And how the cops call me telling me my car on the side of the highway but not you? This place has something funny going on over there and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone EVER

The service department is awful. I brought my jeep in twice, actually 4 times but 2 events, I have paid a total of $800 and the problem is still not fixed. The fix things that are not broken.

On October 19th I went into Star and had a great experience with Rhakyia. She took me on test drives with two different vehicles and was very patient. She answered my questions, made suggestions and gave me great feedback on the value of the vehicle I chose. The process went flawlessly and I am very happy with my vehicle.
I was down right ripped off by this place.
It starts last April when I went to buy my jeep. When my loan info came in it was $5000 higher than what we agreed on and after calling jeep who got involved - they did have to refund me $5000. And I thought that was the end.
Fast fwd to Jan... after months of thinking - "wow I love my jeep but I feel every bump" I decide to take it to pep boys in Elmont. After not even a minute I hear the mechanic say WOW. Long story short - my struts are not connected. They don't even fit the jeep!!!
Who ever installed the lift kit (prior to my buying it from jeep) they didn't put in the right struts and the struts I have do not fit at all!
I got the mechanic to write me a letter stating that "who ever did this, did it intentionally, and cut the top of the tube to insert" Now I call the dealer about this - and they are making it impossible for me to even come in for them to take a look. They are not helpful at all and down right scam artists. They knew this truck had this issue. I plan to contact JEEP about this, the BBB, and I've even started to call the news stations to help me out with them.
This was theft by deception and they will definitely pay for it one way or the other.
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Star Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I was in and out. Damien, the sales person who assisted me, was kind, informative and about his business. Just the way I like it. We talked, I test drove, signed a few papers, got a tutorial of all the fun features, and I was driving off the lot in a new Jeep Cherokee in no time! This was the simplest experience I have ever had at a dealership. (He even threw in some gifts for me at the end of the deal!)
Dishonest sales manager and he lacks customer service. They were about to sell me a damaged VW Beetle and wouldn't let my mechanic follow up and see if they fixed the problem. You're better off buying your car from somewhere else.

The service dept. is the worst. I took my 2015 dodge durango last year to get oil changed. a day later while i was driving on a road trip, a check engine light came up. I got out of the highway and saw oil leaking under the engine. i called roadside asst. where they told me i needed to wait 2 hours for a two truck to show up. right next to me there was a gas station. i took it to them they put the truck in the lift and showed me that whenever they replaced the oil filter, they left the old gasket and they new one in place causing gasket to break and leak oil. I paid them to repair it. also took them to the car wash to get the undercarriage clean.
I went back to the dealer and spoke to the manager, who gave me so attitude. he suggested to bring the truck to look at it. i did but they didnt want to pay me back the money i spent fixing their mistake.
dont bring your car there. stay away.

We had a really good car buying experience with Rukiya. She was very helpful and patient in assisting us with getting the Jeep we wanted and did not feel pressured at anytime which I respect. I leased a car from Star. The car was delivered in horrible condition. Scratches, nicks in paint and a ding. It looked like they unwrapped the car with a matte knife and no care taken. A few days after delivery, there was a spot of paint on the hood that started to peel. I called my leasing agent and he told me there was nothing Star would do. The car had less than 500 miles at the time.
Star actually called me to see how my experience was. When I tried to call back, the person who answers the phone was useless. I just gave up.
Now my car is due for service and I'm scared to take it here because of the lack of previous experience.
Net... use another dealer if you can.

JC Paulino and Rob Caballero did an excellent job selling me a 2019 Dodge Challenger. Going into Star I knew what I wanted and the price point I was looking at. Unfortunately, I had previously gone to another Dodge dealer on Northern Blvd where the manager straight up lied to me about the leasing packages for the Challenger, claiming I had to pay at least $500 a month. Just from Dodge's website I knew that was untrue so I was a bit wary in entering Star. Thankfully, JC and Rob were professional, truthful, and courteous and gave me a great leasing deal. JC also showed me everything I wanted to know about the car. I got the car that I wanted at the price I wanted so I couldn't be happier. I plan to return to Star for my next car buying needs.
Hello everyone I'm leasing a 2018 chrysler pacifica it only have 5400 mile on dash I'm having alot of problem with it i have 3 year lease i went to the dealer about 6 time for the year to fix different thing still having problem the mechanic say that they can't hear anything that I should drive the vehicle and when the noise is there more often then they will fix the noise this is a brand new vehicle i shouldn't have these problem me and my family safety come first the next thing all dealership supposed to have loner car this dealer don't have my family buy alot of vehicle from here after my lease I'm going to a next dealership because i have 2kids i have to drop both of them to school so when i take my vehicle to service i can get a loner car THANK YOU ALL FOR READING MY COMMENT!!!!!

Made an appointment the day before for a recall part on the car. Came the day of, they have no record of my appointment and they didn't have the part on site. So I told them would be back the next day.
Came at 08:30, sat there and watched people who came after me get their car serviced. At 12:15, car just started being worked on.

I'm from Upstate NY where we do business a certain way. I was a little nervous doing business with a dealership in NYC, Queens no less. They had a VW CC for sale for $8995. I thought to myself "hey, that's a pretty decent price," and decided it might be worth the hassle of buying a car from NYC. I called 3 times, spoke with 4 people, agreed to purchase the car for the price advertised, made arrangements to drive down with a friend (6 hrs) on Saturday to pick up the car, and went to the bank and withdrew the cash. Then, I sold my current vehicle on Craigslist because I thought, "I'm getting a new car in a few days, no sense having two of them."
Today, I get online to get the VIN number so I can work out insurance. I think, "Wow, look at that one for sale, its just like the one I'm buying but $3000 more! " Then I realize it IS my car. Turns out the Charlatans upped the price and didn't bother to tell me. They were going to let me enjoy the rude shock once I was a few hundred miles into the trip. When I called, I was rushed through with an excuse and given a number of a manager to call. Bait and switch at its finest. Won't be buying the car. BUYERS FROM OUT OF TOWN BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. Do not set anything else in motion until you physically own the car because these people will hang you out to dry. Don't sell your own vehicle in advance while relying on these people to act with integrity. They will not.

Service was horrible. I put a deposit down on a car i test drove and everything only to find out not even two days later when they were supposed to be working numbers to get me approved they sold the car to someone else. I didn't receive a call or anything from my sales rep. I had to go up to the dealership to even get any info to learn the car was being sold the day i showed up. Dont leave deposit they take your money and still sell car to someone else. Horrible.
I went for an inspection, no appointment was needed. While getting the inspection done I needed an additional key fob. They were busy, so I wasn t sure they d be able to program the fob for me or I d have to come back (which would have been reasonable - I didn t have an appointment) but they managed to get my fob programmed at this visit. With my visit and overhearing them with other customers they offer you the most reasonable priced options to get your vehicle serviced and back on the road They give it to you straight without unnecessary extras and I respect that.

Awesome dealer, from the General Manager Rick, to the sales person Juan Paulino, to the customer service agent that got me there with her honest voice Joy.. oh can t forget the finance manager. Great team quick process no long wait like other dealers. Over all awesome experience!!!!

I always get great service from the service dept here. The advisors (Patrick, Theresa & Darryl) & workers are great & help you with any problem that you may have with your car. The only complaint that I have is there is a worker named Shundra that works there. She was very rude & obnoxious when I called to check on the status of my car. Anyone answering the phones should have better customer service skills & actually know what they're talking about when it comes to the service dept.
This place has great customer service, J.C. Paulino was very helpful and he knew what he was doing, I got a Great deal! I would recommend to friends and family.

Rip off, went for a factory defect to replace a defective air bag and they messed up the alignment of my steering wheel. When i went back to get it fixed they blamed me and charged me $150 just to diagnose the car. Called them to speak to the manager and was conveniently never around. Very unprofessional service. Wish i can give them 0 stars but thats not an option. Called and complained to Chryslers head office as well. Will never take my car back here again!
I went to buy Jeep Grand Cherokee and Sales Rep Jhammar Green had provide me with awesome incentive and got me approval with a very low interest rate and they done all work for me within few hours. i was not expecting to get a new car with my favorite color within few hours. i really grateful and appreciated the quick and best service
Star is a STAR! We had an excellent experience purchasing a BMW. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable and eager to work within the parameters of our needs. Rick, Leon and Mr. Koufakis (Sr.) personally ensured that we had an outstanding experience and guided us every step of the way. We ended up purchasing a vehicle right on the spot even though we initially were there to research some different models. I cannot recommend a dealership more highly -- we have dealt with several over the years and have never experienced the level of professionalism and integrity that we experienced at Star.
Buying a car from them was GREAT very fast at approvals... I wonder why . This place is a deaf trap. They love you when you sign that paper but when you roll out of that dealership with your brand new car, you just sold your soul.
They have the WORST service I have ever experienced as a car buyer and I have purchased a few brand new cars within the last 10 years. I had to call corporate I had to call David Kassell the lemon law lawyer and this is where I am currently. As I am writing this they have my car now.
My BRAND NEW car has been seen by them about 10 times in less than a year for different electrical issues. They refuse to own up to it. The mgr is even more incompetent then his mechanics. I guess I will see them in court. Corporate has excalated my case. Either way something is gonna be done about this.

We got our first Jeep here 3 years ago, and it was a great experience. Today, we went and bought a 2015 dodge dart for a decent deal. The sales representative and manager were kind and professional. The only thing that soured the whole experience was dealing with the finance guy named Kev (or Kevin). After some misunderstanding about the cost of the extended warranty and asking him to remove it from the contract, he bursts out screaming at my father, hitting his own desk like some animal, and yelled out a few obscenities while calling someone to reprint the contract. Never have I directly seen such a lack of customer service and professionalism. Not sure how long he has been working there, but he needs to probably re-learn a little bit about customer service. Three years ago, I would have rated this place five stars, but today's experience with the nasty finance guy should have brought my rating to 1 star, but I kept it at 3 because of the awesome sales rep. At the end of the day, we did get the car, so good job sales rep and manager!

Very terrible experience, Purchased a jeep patriot from them and started running in to many many issues with the car after. Within 3 months i had to take the car back to them more than 4 times to do repairs . Tried to go back in for a trade and for something better and they are not willing to work with me at all and provide a better option. Will not recommend to anyone
