I was with a few friends, visiting a friend of mine that owns a unit in the building and waiting for him downstairs I was not even waiting for more than 5 mins and the rude security told me to leave since the owner was not in the unit and he was on the way. I kindly told him that and they still told us we had to leave the building. This was very rude and for an almost 5 star hotel it deserves to be 1 star for how poorly they treat any type of guest.

Beautiful entrance/ Lobby. Family pool was nice because it was heated. Service by the beach took awhile and they did forget our towels by the pool, but simple mistake. Restaurant by the pool waiter was not attentive and never offered to refill my water. Bellman, front desk, and the rest of the staff were excellent! We have a baby that is 7 1/2 months old so it was nice that they have amenities such as soap, powder, lotion, rubber ducky, etc. However, the crib was outdated and baby bathtub didn't work for us. Nice to have a refrigerator with space to put baby milk and food in it. They forgot to bring the high chair.

We almost cancelled our travel plans to Bal Harbour due to COVID-19, but are happy we went through with this one. The hotel is impeccable, and the staff is extremely helpful without being overbearing. The poolside service from the team, (looking at you, Karen and Indah) went above and beyond.

We stayed at this property on Halloween eve. This was our first St.regis Experience and Mr. Livingston A wowed us with his exceptional costumer service. He respectfully handled a minor situation and we for sure will be returning to this hotel, and to many in the Starwood brand. Also many thanks to our butler Carla for the chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. what a great touch!!

Prices have skyrocketed in the last few years, and crazy fees now left & right... I guess they're trying to make up for last year,
But seeing prices go up by 100-300% is just ridiculous. Never again will I be staying here

My wife and I stayed at the St. Regis Bal Harbor over a long weekend in July. The rooms were large and the accommodations were nice, but the real standout was our bartender Amanda. Not only did she make an excellent regionally appropriate Bloody Mary (ask her - the story is great), but she was a wonderful conversationalist. We talked for several hours over the course of our stay, and we had a great time. I highly reccomend the St. Regis for your next Miami visit.

The location is excellent and the St. Regis is still one of my favorite hotels, but it s gone backwards since Marriott took full control.

If you prefer easy beach access, great views, and a quieter stay, the St. Regis is good.

I have stayed here three times (5/2018, 9/2018, 9/2019) for several nights and unfortunately, I like it a bit less each time.

The level of customer service (the little extras) has deteriorated. It feels this is due to the full transition to Marriott on 8/18/2018. As a longtime SPG member, there are no perks anymore. Room upgrades are an extra sell, nice birthday gestures are no longer.

The daily resort fee has gone up and what the fee includes should be complimentary. They use to offer access to the spa so you could use the amenities (steam room) and free drinks at the St. Regis Bar. Now you get digital access to news? No thank you.

Overall it s still a very nice hotel but for a category eight and the price, it s been sliding backwards.

One of my favorite hotels world wide. Great and very kid friendly service. The guys at the pool and the beach (Angga, Cristiano, Harri, Adhie, Aditya, David, Ashley and many more) are just fantastic and make us feel at home every time we come. This hotel is a huge reason why we choose to keep going back to Florida, and we can't wait to go back soon!

I booked this location, for the third time, for my wife s birthday. As the date of arrival approached, a large storm was forecasted and we canceled the reservation. This is less than 48 hours after our confirmation of reservation. The website quickly responded that our reservation was not refundable and our $5000+ dollars were gone. We used every avenue available to look for an extension of our reservation. Since we own a Ritz Carlton Residence in Sarasota, owned by Marriot and also owners of the St. Regis, we were finally able to get an extension. The extension was for the same week we had booked the previous year. Enter Covid-19. We called the hotel and requested an extension as they have our $5000 and the service is very limited at the hotel, as shown in recent reviews. They have denied our extension, will keep our $5000, and lose our business going forward. This is such a shame for what once was a great brand and solid location. We spend at least 15 weeks a year at hotels and resorts under your brand and will no longer support this company.

My family and I just love this place. The rooms are just about perfect. The views are amazing. The pool is comfortable and well attended. The food is awesome. The best part about it is the breakfast buffet! They are nice enough to allow Platinum guests to eat in their buffet in lieu of the standard complimentary continental breakfast we get at other Starwood hotels. As long as they keep giving me free breakfast we will go back time and time again!

One of the nicest hotels I have ever been lucky enough to have stayed at. Everything about it is special. We were fortunate to have been upgraded to an oceanfront room with a huge balcony. It's location is perfect to go to South Beach or Delray. We can't wait to go back!

The hotel was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, employees were really nice and accommodating, but the suites were disappointing in that they were one not so large room only with a very long hallway. Also, the closet was quite small and the towels and robes were very rough. But all in all, a nice stay.

Resort and rooms are 5 diamond but the service far from it. Nothing worse than dropping 5 grand in 48 hours at the resort and feeling like you are being rushed out the door, especially when you are a gold member. I paid for 2 rooms at a rate over 1k per night and it was a knock down drag out battle to get a 2pm check out even though I had multiple spa treatments booked on departure day for my family and I until 1pm (the spa is only open Friday thru sunday and I stayed wed-fri). Even though Gregory finally accommodated the request (he was very nice) when I went to make sure the keys would work beyond 11, the receptionist demanded she see Gregory's email confirming a late check out. Instead of checking with him I had to go back to the room and forward her the email. They also would not permit check in one minute before 4 pm. The pool service was horrific. I sat at the pool for 2 hours without a server ever coming by. Oddly, however, the beach service was fantastic and fully staffed. The beach area is pristine. Food overall is excellent, the lobby bar is nice and staff attentive. The spa treatment were very disappointing. I got the most expensive facial for $500 (blue diamond 90 min) and it was nothing special. No steam before extractions and the product really didn't make my face feel fresh after. At the end of treatment I had to ask for lip balm, which should be standard after every facial because your lips always get dry. Then what she used i could tell wasn't even for the lips. She was very polite though. Overall, this resort is nice but service is 4 diamond at best. Perhaps it was just because it was high season. I would never return during high season because service is what makes the stay especially when you pay top dollar. It was almost like going on a cruise where timing is very strict and pushy-they herd you in and out as fast as they can. The butler service was almost robotic in their pat responses to requests-they just didn't have that welcoming feel. Bottom line if you like a nice resort that has very nice rooms and a pristine beach and don't care about service then this is the place. If you are used to Peninsula or Mandarin Oriental service, then you probably don't want to stay at the St. Regis Bal Harbour.

You ll never find another hotel that will compare with the Saint Regis Bal Harbour, the customer service is never ending from the moment that you check into the moment that you check out. The people that work there really do make you feel a part of some type of family, the energy and the ambience of the hotel is always spectacular, and the various food options on the resort will accommodate any pallet

This hotel is way overrated, we heard good things but where very disappointed with our stay. Amenities are ok, no coffee machine in the rooms to boot.
We had to call up for room service as they "forgot". Nothing exciting here.

Was promised they'll compensate us in some way, but they (obviously) didn't....

I rarely write reviews and even more rarely negative reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to share my views with other travelers who might be thinking of dropping a few thousands of dollars at this undeserving property. I have been a Marriott BonVoy Titanium member for 9 straight years and have travelled and stayed at numerous luxury hotels around the world including many St Regis hotels. This property in Bal Harbor ranks at the bottom. I would definitely not stay here again and would recommend you take your money or points elsewhere. I took my wife here for the year end holidays thinking we can escape the current situation with the pandemic and get pampered at the St Regis for 6 nights. I used half million points for the stay and I regret it so badly that I am considering shifting my future stays to non Marriott properties. This is a 5 star hotel and the room rate during the holidays was over $2000 a night. You expect to get what you pay for. Not so! Not here and not by a long shot. Here are just a a few of my observations:
-The hotel only serves breakfast in the small and extremely limited seating area adjacent to the lobby instead of one of its restaurants. No host to seat you. Its total chaos and guests are left wondering around waiting waiting for someone to leave. Tables sit dirty until the guest finds a server to clean it. The self serve coffee stations are a mess with trash and spills. The coffee runs out by 9. Because of the limited space the area is super crowded with guests eating, guests waiting in the buffet line, and guest waiting to be seated. The hotel appears oblivious to the principles of social distancing.
- when you're done with the breakfast ordeal, you want to head out and relax on the beach. good luck finding a chair. Guests are standing a waiting for a long time many are frustrated and fighting with the attendants who cant do much about the situation. The hotel does not observe its own policy of 30 min hold on chairs. most people will have chairs reserved and don't show up for hours
- if you're lucky to get a chair, now you expect to have a drink. Good luck with that too. service is extremely slow if not completely absent to the point that the guys that setup chairs will tell you to go get your own drink from the pool bar.
-check in process was friendly and St Regis like, but for some reason they only offered upgrades if you pay. That is not the Marriott BonVoy program which offers complimentary upgrades to Titanium member if upgraded room where available at check in. I confirmed that upgraded rooms where in fact available because I went online and can book these rooms for the same dates of my stay.
-The rooms are nice but are stripped down of every possible amenity you would expect to have in a five star St Regis. The hotel clearly uses COVID as an excuse for everything even when it makes absolutely no sense. No mini bar amenities, no slippers, no coffee. You can wipe your face with a towel but you can't wear a slipper because of COVID. The hotel is happy to ignore COVID restrictions and jam its hundreds of guests into the small 40 person capacity breakfast area but they will not provide amenities in the room.

Bottom line is hotel management was absent. The chaos and guest complaints at breakfast and the beach were loud and clear with other customers (not me!) yelling at attendants, yet nothing was done to fix these problems. The same challenges were faced day after day and when you're staying for 6 nights it starts to get very frustrating. I walked over to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. The staff asked me to wait and someone would be with me shortly. I waited for 15 minutes and no body showed up, so I walked away. They knew my room number and they knew I was not happy, yet no one called to follow up. That is the absolute mark of poor service and a clear indication of poor management.

Opulent and modern at the same time with understated elegance. This is the best St. Regis I have stayed at. The staff delivers service with a smile, making you feel right at home. The room is spacious. SPACIOUS.

I mean.. if you dont like it HERE..... Staff everywhere was exceptional. Butler, pool, valet, concierge, everyone. I mean even the main reception is unlike most places. Great to the kids. And my youngest can be quite finicky.

We recently stayed at St. Regis Bal Harbour for a quick getaway. From check-in to check-out, the staff does a great job to personalize your experience. Above expectations: (1) beautiful resort with luxury shopping within walking distance, (2) Grand Lux Ocean Front room had a gorgeous view and was surprisingly spacious even with an infant and one toddler, (3) overall very clean, (4) not as crowded, and (5) family friendly (first place where a hot water kettle was readily available upon request for our infant's formula). Met expectations: (1) dining options and breakfast buffet, (2) friendliness of general staff, (3) pool and beach amenities. Below expectations: (1) called in advance for an infant crib and confirmed request once again during check-in but it wasn't there when we got to our room and (2) small quirks within the room (vanity sink with slow drain, all-in-one touch screen remote wouldn't stop playing music until service staff had to come and reset the device, confusion with inclusion/exclusion of resort fee). Now this doesn't sound like much, but when you pay top dollar, you expect your experience to be flawless if not near perfect. Overall, pleasant experience and would highly recommend to others. Some travelers may be discouraged with the high price, but if you want a similar sized room with a ocean view, you will notice the prices are comparable to other 5 star properties. We plan to visit again in the near future.

I just went there to do a delivery for one of my jobs. The staff there except for one woman was very stand offish. In the sense that they didn't really acknowledge me. I pulled up into the entranve but was told I had to go around in the dock. Once I got to the dock there was no security around to direct me to the entrance. And I ended up in parts of the hotel that I shouldn't have. Like where all the keys and cars are that belong to hotel guess. I was even able to gain entrance into a section where the cleaners clean. And the reason I was there was because there were no security guards or signs telling me where to go for security.

Went to Disney World with some friends and we wanted to go to Miami for an overnight stay and i elected we stay at the St. Regis and it was a great decision and a much needed boost in quality compared to the Grand Floridian at Disney World.. We love this hotel. Even though we were only there a single night it exceeded expectations in every way. The photo makes the room look small but it really was a large room for the base level type of room.

Good service, staff always ready to help. Room and bathroom very comfortable, convenient individual tiki hut porches with table and chairs. BBQ in self services on the beach. Limited kitchen equipment. Well positioned to visit South Florida and Keys. Great view of the Bay.

The rooms are impeccable, the room I stayed in had an incredible balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. It has to be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in 10/10!! Honestly can t recommend this hotel enough.
