I've seen to a show in the main or front part of the building, and it was incredible. Most recently, I went to a show & didn't realize it was being held in the basement. I didn't even know there was a smaller stage down there! It was fine, the staff was great, the bar was nice - but had I known the show was down there, I would have gotten there WAY earlier. I couldn't see the stage, or 90% of the show, except for when the artist stood up on something (pictured). I reccomend checking with the venue after getting your tickets, to see which stage your show is at - it will make a big difference in your experience.

Seems like a pretty great concert venue. Security was problematic. Not in the way that probably sounds. I get that people need to be frisked and all. It was just COLD outside while waiting for my turn. There must be a way to protect people in a warmer setting...

Cozy venue, not too much room but a lot of people.

Nice atmosphere and a thorough security check on the way in.

We went to see Creed Bratton and it was a great show, he is a funny guy and I love his music and comedy styles.

Really great time here. It's mostly for the younger crowd, but everyone made me, the old one, feel comfortable. Accoustics were awesome, bar service great and even the restrooms were clean and modern.

Took my daughter who is visually and physically impaired to a concert on 2-26-19. We drove 3 hours to see One Ok Rock. We've went to many concerts over the years and Im always concerned about her safety because of her limitations. However, I understand her desire to enjoy life like everyone else. The security at Saint Andrew's was top notch! Personnel rushed to help me help with her on stairs. Thank you Antonio, Jeremy & Shawn. I wish I had caught the name of the security personnel who I spoke to in the balcony. He took the time to listen to me. He spoke with others to keep my daughter safe in the crowd. I hope he reads this...thank you. They were diligent in crowd safety overall. Awesome venue that I highly recommend!

One of my favorite rooms in Detroit for a show. Well stocked and staffed bars, so never a long wait for drinks during a show. Security here is like most places... Stay in your shoes, have a good time, don't ruin the good times of people around you, and you can pretty much do whatever you want...

If your not familiar with the history of this venue, be sure to educate yourself a little bit before going. Every time I walk into the main hall, I stop and think about all of the huge names that have performed on that stage. Most of them before blowing up and going on to be huge national acts.

Saint Andrew's Hall is also home to the"Shelter", made famous in the movie. "8 Mile". The Shelter is in the basement.

This is one of the coolest rooms in Detroit for a show, and well worth checking out.

Parking here is a total scam. You have to pay for parking, which is bogus. Any decent venue has free parking. Harpo's, Machine Shop, Token Lounge, you name it, all have free parking. St. Andrews claims they do not own/have any parking lot and their employees don't park there. Several times I have been swindled for various amounts, the last time a middle-eastern looking man charged me $15 to park in the adjacent lot, then two months later I received a parking ticket from the city of Detroit. The venue itself is okay at best. I've seen a bunch of shows here. Drinks cost too much. The sound is marginal. I avoid attending shows here whenever I can.

Wendy Williams was on a nationwide tour celebrating her season 10 of The Wendy Williams Show and it was lit! The Saint Andrews Hall has been remodeled from years ago and it was just fantastic People were taking pictures, getting their hair done, getting manicures, getting makeovers with lashes, drinking at the bar, playing games for t-shirts and prizes, dancing, socializing, and just enjoying the show!

Went here to see a friend's band play. It was a cute little venue with friendly staff. There was no free parking so we did have to pay to park across the street. There was no seating downstairs but there was some seating upstairs that we were told were for VIP guests. All in all it was a good experience.

Your security staff & Staff on had last night was awesome.

I was not feeling the greatest last night.

Not the fault of the venue; St. Andrew's audience typically is clueless. No respect for the artist. There for the party. Rude to the enth degree. Rather discuss who, what, and where than give the folks on the stage any respect or attention. Really stunning...

Aside from just being an all around great venue in terms of space, sound, amenities, and cleanliness, this place has attained a level of customer service that is absolutely mind blowing. Every employee I encountered was courteous, kind, and friendly. Outside the venue, security showed concern for our safety, and then the wand guy gave me such a friendly smile that I had a moment of confusion. The wand guy is never nice! Inside, the ticket takers were super nice and the bartender was amazing. He was patient and funny and genuinely seemed to want to make a great drink instead of just slinging out whatever. But it gets better. My feet were hurting me, so I was sitting on the edge of the steps. I know I wasn't supposed to and was fully prepared to stand up if security approached me. When security did appear, he didn't tell me I couldn't sit in the standing-room-only area; instead he asked if I was okay. And then he upgraded me and my two adult children to the upstairs room where we finished out the concert in comfy chairs. That level of customer service is honestly something I have never experienced in my life. Probably nobody from the venue will read this, but if any of you do, I want to thank you and commend you for a job very well done. You people are AMAZING!

Getting approached by bums telling me they want to kill themselves if I don't buy their stuff... That's part of it. It's in a poverty stricken area and attracts some interesting people. Had to leave in the middle of a concert due to the quality of people it attracts, building is small and ran down.

The venue itself wasn't bad. The problem was the sound quality. The sound volume was immense! But the system was really only pushing lower mids to full bass range sound. The result was that is was nearly impossible to hear any lead guitar or vocal. I feel like I came to a concert where I never got to really hear the bands play, because their music was muddled by unclear audio.

Saw Madison Beer and it was amazing!
The venue was nice and small, come anywhere from 1-2 hours early that way you can get to the front as it's first come first serve. No on the main floor except for the upper floor, ($20) while waiting outside in line you're asked if your of age to drink, if you are you are asked to show your ID. (Inside you are able to drink) Before you go in you are security checked, once you walk in they check your ticket and you are able to go. Overall I give the experience 10/10.
Small venue with a clear view of the artist.

This is one of my favorite venues. They continue to improve the atmosphere almost every time I go there. I always look forward to going to a show here. Very professional staff, great sound, and great history here and The Shelter.

I love the vibe. The live music was great. Staff were awesome. My only problem is that some of the patrons did not appear to be there for the music and nearly spoiled the experience for me, my wife, and those around us. It may be out of St. Andrews control but it is what it was. Will probably go back for the right show.

I have watched a few concerts here, it's a fairly small venue that generally plays lesser known bands. I went to a sold out show that had 1000 people in it so I'm guessing that's the max size. Good prices on drinks, but people spill them everywhere so you will walk out with your shoes sticking to the floor.

Wonderfully intimate concert hall, allows you to be able to get very close to the band. Great sound system. Long bar all along the entire side of the hall is backlit beautifully. Pretty heavy security to get into the building, full pat-down & bag check, but I guess that goes with the neighborhood the hall is located in. Right downtown location, lots of parking all sides. Really enjoyed the show!
