Myself and some friends have been to multiple concerts at this venue. The acoustics are somewhat meh, but what can you expect from such a small venue. Have never had a bad experience with security or staff while attending an event here. Always doing what it takes to get everyone inside the venue in time for the show to start. Always look forward to concerts at ST. Andrews Hall and The Shelter!

The venue was set up nicely and there was plenty of staff for the crowd. I have been to crowded concerts and it would end up being stiffiling hot but they had the a/c on and so it was comfortable and enjoyable

Is a great venue. Good sound quality. Great bands. Security team is great. They keep everyone safe, but they allow moshing, pit dancing, and crowd surfing. My only criticism is that it's a bit too loud by the time the headlining band is playing. This is probably more of a criticism of the culture as all venues do this, but I'm getting older and don't want to lose my hearing. Does it really make sense that everyone needs to wear ear plugs to go to a show? Or can we just lower the volume a little bit?

Saw Neurosis and Bell Witch at Saint Andrew's Hall, very nice and chill venue. One thing to note they did do a pat-down before entering the venue, which might turn some people off but besides that little thing, the staff was nice, the balcony was chill, the sound was awesome and parking was a breeze. Would definitely recommend!

Last night my wife and I went to St. Andrew's to see Johnnyswim. My wife is short and had a hard time seeing the stage. She is also pregnant and continued to be pushed and nudged. She was very uncomfortable and we were thinking about leaving. Wes, one of the security guards noticed her getting frustrated and asked us could he find a better place for us. He found a new spot for us and checked in to make sure she was ok. THANK YOU Wes for going above and beyond to make our experience exceptional!

While I was initially excited to receive these tickets as a thank you for being a Veteran..my point of view changed quickly upon arriving . We waited outside in the bitter cold on the streets of Detroit for an hour. Of which included; standing alongside the homeless community and people trying to sell things to us while we stood there.
The Security did eventually let us in and were very thorough and kind.
Unfortunately, all that time outside and stress caused my heart stress and chest pains so, sadly had to leave early. Which resulted in my daughter crying and disappointed who had been anticipating this day for weeks. I don't know that there is a way to make it up to her.

The staff working the event were honestly the best part of the show I went to last night! Wes and the other people working the door and the bar were true delights! Keep up the great work!

Staff was a bit rude, but the show was excellent. They didn't pass out wristbands properly (at least for will-call) and while the bar allowed me to purchase liquor (which they should - I'm 25), I was harassed by security for drinking it. I was told I would be thrown out, even after trying to show him my ID. He just kept repeating that I needed a wristband, but refused to tell me WHERE to get one, so I had to pass my drink off to a friend... Who also didn't have a band, but this guy didn't seem to care about him drinking.

St. Andrew's either needs better security or do a better job of making sure that people get bands. Something.

This and The Shelter underneath are my favorite venues. They are so small and intimate. The staff there makes sure you feel safe too and ward away any sort of panhandlers while you wait. I do wish more smaller artists would go here.

I miss that place ... drinks, talking with people, music that Is always on point and loud. I am so lucky cause i was pucking for like 5 minutes. And got help. One girl was holding my hair. While i was trying to call my sis. also i kept it casual. there's always some surpise to look forward to. The music was always different. I use to sneak food in because i was picky. But stopped. The lighting is bright. l tried every drink. It's just nice to dance all night. I was careful with my drinks and who I was dancing around. The bathrooms weren't always the best but it's like whatever.

This place is actually great ...I have been there at least a dozen times I was actually there back when I was much younger ...still have great shows ..we saw fire from the gods and Of Mice of Men there and the staff was overly friendly and accommodating because my wife had just had knee surgery we got to meet some of the band members and they told us they hope to see us again... it's a good place

There was an ample amount of parking, though prices were very scattered. Security was painless to get through. I haven't been to many concerts, but there wasn't really anything missing from my experience. I'd be happy to return to Saint Andrews Hall in the future.

Saw Steve Earle here last night, the acoustics in this venue are phenomenal, this is one of the best concerts I've seen in awhile Steve Earle blew the roof off, I love saint Andrews Hall. Small intimate setting compared to your bigger than use up close and personal with the performers who are performing.

Big thanks to the staff, especially Antoine who was so hands on. I took my daughter to her 1st concert to see Ella Mai (whom is her absolute favorite artist) My daughter started to feel Ill( she was so excited) This was her Christmas gift and she wanted so bad to see her.(Ella Mai) Long story short after some medics attention she felt good enough to stand in the back (we arrived 1.5 earlier just to be close) and then go to the balcony (thanks to the young lady with Cricket staff). I want everyone who came in contact with us( including the bar, lower level & Detroit police) To help my baby pull it together to be able to hear a few songs. Antoine I think I lost your information. You are the best!!!

Great place for an intimate musical night. If anyone you have ever liked happens to play here well then its basically a personal show since the venue is very small. By far my favorite place to catch a show.

I absolutely LOVE this is place, especially when the band or artist isn't super famous. It's cozy and has great acoustics. As expected, drinks are pricey. Bathrooms are very nice, staff is great.

First time in Detroit came here for a concert. The Glorious Sons. This venue is very intimate. With the hardwood floors and small stage. I love these kind of venues because you can get so close to the bands and the music fills up the whole space. They also have a nice tap selection too. No just your basic domestic beers. They had some craft alternatives. You most definitely enjoy your time spent in the space.
