I had a cluster migraine that had lasted 12 hours when I finally gave in and went to the ER. Lights sounds and smells often make it worse so if I can stay away from those things I do. Unfortunately in a ER it is bright and loud. Nurse Kathi and Doctor Holden got me in and kept the lights off as much as they could. Kathi got me damp rags and attended to me with true skill and bedside manner. I felt the entire time I was in good hands. They quickly had me feeling better and laughing, I can't thank both of them enough.

This ER has been awful every single time I've visited. The doctors have never once even acted like they really care what's wrong. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant with severe bright red bleeding and the most they had to say to me was "call your ob in the morning, follow up with him, here's a shot and antibiotics". The refused to do an ultrasound to check on my baby and I. They will do anything to pass out pills and turn over rooms. Smh.
Great hospital and ER Dept! Brought my daughter here for services due to syncope and hitting her head. Dr Bowen and my nurse Roberta were exceptional. Angela in Cat Scan was quick and thorough as we're the technologist performing her EKG. We were in and out in about an hour. I am thankful NW Medical is here and available to serve our community.
Nurse Kathi in the ER was the best nurse we've ever had at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was careing and she listened to what we had to say. It would be so awesome if all medical staff had an attitude like hers. We loved her as our nurse.
My grandmother was seen here for septic shock. She was immediately taken care of and treated quickly. She was in the ICU and had the best care by all the staff. Staff were professional, caring, and attentive. Septic shock is life threatening and Northwest facilitated quick and efficient care. She was released after 4 days and was able to go home. She has fully recovered and is doing great. I couldn't have asked for a better hospital or better care! Thank you!
Went in for a pain on my sides. They did their test and said nothing is wrong here is a 16000 dollar bill. Doctor wasn t professional at all asking me since I was Mexican that I should stop drinking. First of all I don t drink and that s when he acted surprised. Will never go here ever.
My husband had surgery at NW Hospital January 2019. Such excellent care from initial surgical consult through post op care. Kind, caring and very professional. Dr. Cedeno and staff were excellent. He took time to explain the procedure and answered all our questions. Great follow up care. All phone calls were returned quickly and concerns addressed promptly. Highly recommend Dr. Cedeno. On the day of surgery, the total staff, beginning with Kelli checking us in and explaining what to expect eased our anxiety. During our wait time she was very accommodating & helpful. The nurses in the prep area did an EXCELLENT job of explaining all the "whats and whys" and keeping us informed. They were very friendly, caring and attentive. The CRNA Kathy's friendliness extended beyond our initial encounter....after the procedure, she took us to recovery unit even helping us carry tote bags. Bev in the recovery unit, was so attentive and kind with such a positive attitude. She thoroughly explained all of our discharge instructions. Surgery can be an overwhelming stressful time for patients and families. We are very thankful and feel very blessed for the staff at NorthWest Hospital in Bentonville!
Just delivered my second daughter here a week ago and they proved to me why I made the right choice in hospitals again. Literally so awesome. All the nurses were so sweet and helpful. Felt like I actually mattered and they weren't just trying to rush me out. They helped me get back on my feet after tearing and were patient with me while recovering. Never pushed me to do anything that I wasn't comfortable with or my body couldn't handle. Even had lots of tips for me, since it's been 4 years since my last baby. I really feel like I connected with my nurses. I will never go anywhere else for medical care and for sure will not deliver anywhere else.
And don't even get me started on their beautiful new birthing suite!! Thank you so much Northwest!!!
Normally, I have had great care in the past for myself or my children. Today was not that day. The ER doctor that was on this morning was rude and arrogant. When he asked me questions on why I was there with my children, he interrupted me multiple times, while rolling his eyes. When I tried speaking to him, he jumped up saying that, "He doesn't want to argue with me." I can assure you that I was not. He made me cry, and this was just in triage! I am appalled. I am going to definitely think twice about going back here. Very disappointing.
My family member had a schedualed c section and we where there for 6 hours till they took her in and they wouldn't give us any information then they wouldn't let us see or even look at my family member or her baby for 2 hours
I had my baby here and we had a wonderful experience! The nurse navigator program is awesome and super helpful. My son came 2 months early and so we spent A LOT of time here and all of the nurses and doctors in both L&D as well as the NICU were amazing.
I've had good care when I had to use this facility for emergencies. My biggest issues with this establishment is the billing department. I have bills from last year that were not correctly processed with my insurance. I had to play the middle man and connect the two back together in order to get insurance properly processed. Several days later, after calling back and fourth during business hours when most of us work, I see a new bill in the mail. I checked my insurance and they've already processed and paid the amounts they're trying to bill, yet again. This is the worst billing situation I've ever experienced. I had to resolve it because of the incompetence in managing patient bills with insurance. While some may just pay them and rollover, others will not accept this behavior. My recommendation is look into your billing department because this is uncalled for.
I had my second child at the Family Birth Place. It was an amazing experience, all the staff were so attentive and friendly! They have so many options to suit everyone's needs. I truly enjoyed my labor experience. I recommend them 100 percent.
Really awful service here... do yourself guys a favor... even if you're bleeding to death drive a little further and go to MERCY... nurses don't pay attention to you here. They Will rather spend more time looking at their cellphone Facebook page than attend to you... worst case they will try to get you out of your room in a hurry...cause they need the room to treat another unsuspecting client for another awful service. I'll say a prayer for the future unsuspecting clients... that they may get at least treated nicely here... but I highly doubt that...
The place is a piece of crap. We asked to visit our brother and they said no. When we asked why they just replied "Because we can't."Obviously they have no idea how to talk to people and I can't imagine how they treat their patients if they can't even be polite to their guests.
My wife and I had our first baby at Northwest and their staff did a phenomenal job. Nurse Angie was phenomenal and kept my wife comfortable and calm. My wife was super anxious about the whole birthing process and Angie just did a great job of being there for her in every way.
You can tell that the whole staff takes it very personal in the way they care for the mothers and babies. And also does a great job answer questions for first time dads like myself.
I would also highly recommend Dr. Sills. Couldn t imagine a better doctor watching over my wife during her pregnancy.
Thank you too the whole band for being away from your family on Thanksgiving to helps us start ours.
I have two different opions on this place. My wife had surgery here and the staff were amazing the entire time. Helpful and took great care of her. The emergency room not so Much. We went in for severe chest pains and Dr schumaker did not even attempt to diagnose left us waiting for two hours then deciced she had a uti and sent us home. Regular doc determined no uti and there was an actual problem. I highly reccomend this hospital but not their e.r services. Way better going to mercy for that.
Been in the hospital 9 days. I had a colon resection and 3 ft of my bowels removed during emergency surgery. They have done a terrible job at controlling the pain. Called all the doctors asking for help and none of them seem to want to help, at this point considering going back to the ER for just pain related issues. I thought hospitals were supposed to control the pain.
This place is completely pathetic. I took my autistic son here due to not eating and having a fever and swollen lymphnodes. The E.R doctor just looked at me and my husband stated that they don't treat children here. It's a stomach virus. Didn't look or even really care to check. He later said that Little Rock does. We get home home and he stops breathing. Rushed him to Siloam. One hour later and he's in the hospital for a week. I am still one mad Mom.
The E.R nurses are really rude. For the E.R doctor that laughed at my sick child like it wasn't anything because he's non verbal and it's funny. You need help.
If you have any other possible choice please make it. Northwest is by far the WORST hospital experience my family has ever experienced. It takes over an hour to get checked in for simple procedure. The phone system is useless. If you have a phone in your room, make sure it works. There is no way to call a nurses station the calls are deliberately rerouted. No communication or updates are provided it is up to you or your family to spend hours getting the run-around to get answers about simple test and what next steps are. Family members are not welcomed. From the moment you come in you are treated as if you are an inconvenience. This list could go on. Do yourself and your family a solid, request a different hospital.
I had to go to the Northwest Health ER on Saturday.....and was treated with the BEST care you could ask for! I felt like they truly cared about my health and I would recommend them to anyone needing urgent care.
The male-nurse, 'Russell Stroud' is WONDERFUL....Such a Sweet, Kind person....and He figured out the best plan for my health!......And the Desk Nurse 'Michelle' is also wonderful with people and so kind!
As were all the other staff ....not one thing was left unturned!!....I felt like I had the Very Best treatment I could ever ask for and I am so thankful:)
God Bless all the Wonderful, caring, Staff who work there....You're the BEST!
My husband was inpatient 7 days. The nursing staff was fabulous and would deserve 5 stars. They gave good care and patiently spoke with me on the phone about what was going on. However, when I spoke to one of the doctors, I admittedly asked a lot of pointed, specific questions but got a couple snippy replies. Then upon discharge, he was sent home with no pain meds, yet had required iv pain meds just hours prior to discharge. Also, no one advised us on the risks of quickly coming off blood thinners as he had there and coming home still sedentary. He subsequently developed blood clots in his leg a day after discharge.
The worst hospital I can say! I was admitted to ER and there was no doctor , only the nurses saw me and they were very unempathetic and rude!! I was admitted for a racing heart beat and I had concerns for my condition. They discharged me and told to call 911 Incase of an emergency and showed me the exit door!! I was shocked to see how they could talk to a patient like that and that I have insurance also. It was pathetic experience!! I will never want to go to this hospital!
We've had wonderful experiences at the inpatient and outpatient surgery centers of NWMC in Bentonville. The staff always takes excellent care of my family and I would highly recommend this hospital to someone considering surgery.
The staff was very nice and helpful.always checked in on me to make sure I was ok..the only thing is I wish they could had done the scopes on me there to fix the issue I'm having instead of me leaving and having to go to another dr to have it done..but other then that it was a outstanding stay
Husband been here 7 days tomorrow brought in by ambulance kept in unit till late sat has been offered no shower don't seem to be getting any better. what happened to this hospital I have had multiplie stays here less then 2 years ago and the Care seems to be about the staff more then patient Care Dr Price is an excellent Doctor and takes good Care of his patients considering changing to Mercy just because of changes.. Everything changes we get that, but... claiming to have only your sick loved ones Care and compassion and doing it it 2 very different things, shout out to all who took Care of him in the unit 100%for you all... thank you sincerely,
Unfriendly service when I had my finger stitched. Waited a long time to have it done in a seemingly unbusy emergency area.
Even worse, they coded my visit incorrectly which in turn caused my insurance to not pay. I went to the hospital to talk to the billing department to bring it to their attention. I was told the coding is "done by corporate". Meanwhile, while they are dragging their feet to correct THEIR mistake, I continue to get payment requests (even after letting them know what's been going on)! This is a very shortened version of steps and aggravation this has caused. NEVER, EVER, EVER will I use Northwest hospital again. These are supposed to be professionals.
This hospital is awful. Took my daughter here bc she was having nuerological issues. Double vision, temporary paralysis etc. They did NOTHING for her. Accused her of being a drug user and sent us home. They were very rude and hateful. Treated her like crap. Turned around and took her to Washigton Regional where she Passed a drug screening with flying colors and she was transported to Childrens Hospital with Viral Menegitis. I will never again take any one to this hospital.
