What an incredible experience!

What an incredible experience!
We were worried because we dropped in unannounced during Palisade's off season, but their open sign was on and I wanted to see the alpacas and pick up some yarn for my mom.
Mike came out to greet us and he was super friendly and seemed really excited to talk about his work. We got to go look at the alpacas and he talked about caring for them, and then he took us into their warehouse to show us the whole process of making loose fiber into yarn and then putting it through the knitting machine! It was super cool!
Their yarn is also absolutely beautiful and excellent quality. My mom loved the skeins I got her and is excitedly picking out a project for them. I also got a lovely scarf that they knitted themselves that I've been wearing nonstop!
This place is a must have on your Palisade itinerary!

I came here to get dryer balls and ended up playing with the Alpacas with my son and a friend visiting from Germany. We had the best time. It was a nice surprise and we found some fun treasures in the gift shop to take to friends on the East coast.

Mike was so friendly and welcoming! He taught us more about Alpacas than I ever could've guessed and took time to show us the intricacies of taking care of alpacas all the way to the making of yarn and garments. We were so lucky to see a brand new alpaca! Only 18 days old and he was such a cutie! It is a wonderful break from wineries for adults and very fun for kids as well and anyone in between.

Such a delightful, interesting, educational experience! We came on a Sunday afternoon, not realizing it wasn t open that day. Even still, they gave us a tour of the farm and fiber mill, and shared an hour of their rest day with us! We so appreciated their time, hospitality, and willingness to share about their world of hard work and creativity. Very excited to use our alpaca wool socks this winter!

I called the Farm 4 days ahead to inquire about a simple visit or tour, left a msg. No one returned my call. I had guests in town and we were excited to see the farm and alpacas. From the website it looked like the hours were fine and they would be open. When we got there, someone came to the door then turned back. We waited for an awkward long while but felt like we were somehow intrusive with dogs barking at us and no one responding and left.

Bring quarters to this attraction to feed the alpacas. The owner came out and gave us a tour of the facility and gave us a lot of information about the animals and the processes. This is a must do if you love animals.

My husband and I did the alpaca trek and mill tour. Mike and His wife are so kind and informative. Mike even held a child who was scared of the alpacas so the parents could enjoy the trek too. I would 100% recommend a visit here!

My wife and I had a great time at the farm! We stopped in unannounced (during a slower time of the year) and were still able to meet the Alpacas and get a tour of the facility. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Must visit! We got to walk around a gorgeous peach orchard with the most beautiful alpacas! Such a unique experience we loved every minute of it! Even my 4.5yr old was able to walk an alpaca, they were calm and sweet. Also got a lesson on how the process the alpaca fibers go through to produce products with them.

Love love love this place! Taking a walk through orchards with an alpaca is one of the best experiences of my life! Farmer Mike was very nice and you can tell he is passionate about the alpacas. He had an answer for every question we asked. The hardest part was saying goodbye to our alpacas!

This is a wonderful stop! I thought we would just be buying some yarn, but we got to learn all about how alpaca fiber goes from the animal all the way to a finished product. On our tour, we saw happy alpacas and left with some amazing alpaca products. This family owned business is definitely worth visiting!

The owners took an hour out of their day to show me and my fiance around, let us take some alpacas on a "trek", and explain the whole alpaca yarn process. They were friendly and enthusiastic, and the alpacas were so cute. I would recommend visiting to anyone coming through Palisade!

Whenever I hear that someone is going to Palisade, I always tell them they need to visit here! I can not say enough good things about them. We stopped by to see the alpacas and were given a tour of the fiber work shop. It was extremely informative and enjoyable. My mother-in-law is a dedicated knitter, so she was able to order a beautiful custom wool yarn in a special color she picked out herself. They made the yarn right away and we received it in the mail within a week. The whole experience was amazing and I'm so happy we randomly stopped by there on our drive through.

Awesome place and awesome people..

Awesome place and awesome people..
My wife and I along with our three year old and 5mo old went on the alpaca trek and mill tour. We got there early and were waiting in the car for them to open .. we were about an hour early and Mike a very knowledgeable kind person came out and introduced himself.. I told him we were city folk trusting the wiles of gps to get us here and we landed early. He then told us to go ahead and get ready then ,let s get started early so your kiddos don t just sit in the car getting anxious.
Mike was very knowledgeable and informative about the alpacas and the two we walked (donut and rocketman)
Were both lots of fun and very interesting. The animals were natural but still docile and at no time was worried about the safety of my family.
It was an absolutely delightful time.
It was a rare view into a place where integrity ,hardwork, passion, and family all come together to let you experience some wonderful animals and the wonderful people who care for them ..
The mill was also a very neat glimpse into how the abundant uses of the fibers are processed ... while also forcing a realization of how time consuming this process is.
Love what they are doing here and wish them the best of luck.
They will be highly recommend to anyone I speak with

Good people... plain and simple. If you meet them and didn t like them you need to really take a look at yourself and your values.

I had to opportunity to stay at Mike and Cindy's Air BnB on the farm and they were the BEST hosts. My aunt and I were able to go on an evening trek where Mike shared a wealth of knowledge about the orchards, alpacas and general information about the area. The store was wonderful and I was able to come home with souvenirs for everyone in my family. As an avid alpaca lover, my heart was full. The city of Palisade is also wonderful, and if you are ever in the area I HIGHLY recommend visiting the farm, you won't regret it.

Mike is absolutely wonderful and so is the Alpaca trek. Mike and his wife have built the farm from the ground up and their pride in their work shows. My wife and I went for our second time and took friends this past weekend. I highly recommend a visit and buying some of the awesome creations in their shop.
