Be careful using debit cards and credit cards at Goebbert's during the Halloween season our's was stolen I would like to add Goebbert's contacted us immediately to help resolve this situation.

This place is not cheap. I went with my 2 year old daughter on the playground. I didn't have to pay for her (2 and younger free) but I still had to buy a ticket for myself to enter the place. Horse ride cost $5 where I paid somewhere else $0.25. I understand that this place is bigger , need more maintenance, but a half what they ask would be I think more reasonable

Fun but a bit pricey. It feels pretty safe from covid. Masks are mandatory but it's very busy so in some areas social distance is not possible. Costs $16 per person and then you buy food for the animals which are really awesome variety. Lots of stuff for kids to do. After buying pumpkin and apples and stuff it was about $100. Still a fun once a year activity.

I have gone to this pumpkin farm every year since childhood and have now had the pleasure of bringing my 3 year old daughter. This is a tradition we will continue for as long as we possibly can!!

I was surprised by the lack of amenities away from fall time. The autumn is the best time for all of the attractions. animals in puny stalls and their own filth was just wrong. When asked, I was told the animals were here only for short periods of time, and the owners clean the stalls daily. whatever that may mean, can they not do something for these suffering creatures.?. My 3 yr old daughter and I saw a dead piglet being stepped on by other pigs and staff, could they not see it?? The only good section for children is in the paid areas ($14 per person) where there are many attractions geared towards families, other fees for certain attractions too, including camel and donkey rides or jumping for a short time on an inflated pillow. That of course is only available on weekends during the rest of the year but daily in the fall. Food is okay, but not always cooked appropriately and very expensive.
the one aspect I enjoy is the part open year round, the farmer's market and Amish area.
I generously gave a three because of the produce being so fresh and that they have a working fudge shop (seasonally anyway). My family has given them 0-1 stars because of their treatment of animals and expensive fares. I do return annually for pictures of my children in the oversized rocking chair, and good quality pumpkins. But we won't be doing the other attractions anymore.

Good

Traditional place to stop with your little/loved ones and see all the great stuff at Goeberts. They have a huge store with all kinds of pumpkins, candy and treats, as well as food for sale like hot dogs and apple pie. Very clean here and you can easily spend a few hours.

Getting into the 'adventure park' will set you back $14/person, but here you'll be able to see giraffe's up close and feed them carrots (that's pretty amazing). There's a wide assortment of animals in the three tents, and those are also avaiable for feeding. The wagon ride is free if you've paid for the adventure park, and that's a good amount of fun.

There's a decent size corn maze, a corn box (play pen filled with corn kernels so kids can bury themselves), and a TON of photo ops with stand up wooden figures. There's a haunted house that costs extra (I never went in) and a giant jumpy pillow for kids (also costs a few bucks). We like to see the pumpkin eating dinosaur (crane dressed up like a dinosaur if you use your imagination) that will pick up a pumpkin and swash it. Also pig races at certain times of the day, which is filled with puns and has a few bleachers to sit on if you arrive early enough.

Highly recommended holiday activity for the family.

They are charging a ridiculous price to enter the farm. I can see a $5 fee, but $17.99 per person. It would have cost us $120 just to get in. Yes it includes all the extra stuff but all my family wanted to do was take pictures, buy pumpkins and apple cider donuts, without all the extra! Very disappointing!

Absolutely amazing experience. Perfect for children to play and experience new things. The animals were hungry and very gentle with my children, it was their favorite part. The hot cider and doughnuts are delicious. The corn was so good I bought extra to bring home!

It has gotten to expensive to take the family. You used to be able to go and let the kids do a few things then buy pumpkins and not break the bank now for a family of 6 it's $90 to do things before buying the pumpkins

A yearly family tradition. Always have a great time! Have been bringing my family here for 23 years and it always makes me smile seeing the looks on the faces of my family when they see the plants, the animals, the food and all there is to a place that has been a part of the community for so long! Rain or shine, hot or cold we have endured and enjoyed it all and will continue doing so for as long as the opportunity exists for us to continue enjoying this wonderful place. And by the way, the donuts and fudge at the fall harvest festival cannot be topped!! Truly an outstanding culinary achievement!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for plants for spring and summer or for a great fall festival visit!!

When I was a child my family and I would come to Goebbert's Farm back when it was on Rand Road. It is completely different from back then which is both good and bad, however the one major issue I have with this farm during the fall months is that there is a total lack of care for the animals! It's bad enough that these poor animals have to live in a dirty, dark, and confined space while aggressive children try to touch, grab, and shove food in their faces (usually due to either no parental supervision or better yet encouraged by clueless adults) but it's even worse to see adults act this way with no one on the farm staff available to supervise these careless persons.
I was there two years ago and since then the farm has posted more signs that warn individuals to not touch certain animals (some even have extra preventative bars), and signs that illustrate the proper way to feed the animals (with a shovel NOT your hands) BUT still there needs to be more done. For instance, more supervision from staff members really enforcing and informing people about certain rules...
A new one that could and should be added? NO FLASH PHOTOS!
It's common sense people-Chicago zoos, the Shedd Aquarium both do not allow flash photos for a reason, it's disturbing to the animals.

So, please, Goebbert's Farm & Garden Center step up and do something about this because I am sure there are plenty of animal rights activist who would be more than happy to intervene...
As for the adults who attend this event, grow up and teach your kids the right thing to do!

Too expensive and next to impossible to physically distance from the multitude of fools who refuse to wear a mask! The poor giraffe doesn't have enough space to walk around and was being fed a cup (devoid of carrots) by an impetuous youth. Plus, pumpkins are almost $20 each. The animals are kept in tiny pens and seem miserable...I would not return

HORRIBLE!!!!! Very disappointed! We drove over an hour to spend $40 to see some animals. We were told we couldn't go on a hayride until after 2pm due to field trips, to go have some lunch. Lunch doesn't take 3 1/2 hours. Spoke to management and they didn't care just said check the website. Poor business skills. Should have just visited 1 of the 3 pumpkin farms in our area. If you want to visit a REAL pumpkin farm go to Bengstons, Siegles Cottonwood, or Konows. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or go back ever again. What kind of pumpkin farm doesn't include a hayride? If this place is only concerned about their field trips and making money then they shouldn't be open to the public. Save your money and go somewhere else.

A little over priced and over crowded with rude people who push over small children, but the staff we encountered were a over nice and helpful, and our kids had so much fun! Of course we'll be back.

My family has visited a couple of pumpkin patches before and Goebberts is by far our favorite. Fun activities for all. It could get a bit pricey, but what else do you expect from a pumpkin patch they're all pretty pricey. However, I do believe you get more for your money here. Expect for there to be a lot of people especially in October.

As of recent I started coming here with the family. Here are some notes:
- Parking can take a while during the weekends, but this is expected.
- Pumpkin picking is fun, it's open to choosing what's available
- Prices for food and fruit are just right. The Cortland apples are delicious. The Apple pie is great. Try to make it early to get some of their roasted corn with butter!

Find out what activities are scheduled for the day before you head to Goebbert's. Some days, there's nothing going on. Other days, you'll find giraffes and zebras and all kinds of really cool stuff! They also have a full nursery for all of your flower needs, as well as a an indoor farmer's market.

Fun family day. Plan on spending the whole day. Great play area for kids. Tons of activities. Good food selection. If you have toddlers, go on week days which are far less crowded. They will have more opportunity to try everything at a slower pace.

My experience was terrifying/ horrific when we went to the pig pen and noticed a little pig not moving being stepped on, very skinny and frail and after we told a supervisor nobody came to help. Shows they don't treat the animals well.

Great place for an active date. Many things to see and do as you walk around the vast property. They have concessions as well as a gift shop. Also, a great place for kids & the whole family (kids 2 and under may enter the play area for free)

So much fun for the whole family. The food is also exquisite. You could just get a cup of joe and a cookie and wonder the place or you could take the tours and see the animals. Either way, it's a lot of fun for everyone!

1st and last visit, no social distancing, animals look very unhappy, they are over worked, we were there 3 hours and the miniature ponies were still going around the same circles, one camal was swaying side to side while standing in the same spot for those 3 hours. This is some type of mental abuse. Large animals were in small spaces in tents laying next to their poop. This is not right!

Had some issues with a gift card. Sue stepped up to the plate to try to analyze the situation for us. She is truly a dedicated employee. She is a sweetie and a true treasure of as an employee at Goebbert's. Additionally, the flowers are absolutely breathtaking this 2018 season!

Normally, I have a good experience shopping at Goebbert s. Yesterday, I bought corn, got it home and found it to be disgusting with some kind of black slimy fungus. I called to tell them about this today.
The woman never said that I could come back in and get credit for the bad corn or replace it with good corn. I consider that poor customer service and will get my corn somewhere else in the future. The other products I bought were satisfactory. This farm has been a mainstay of my summer shopping, but I am rethinking this because of poor service.

Went here for the first time this year. Very fun experience especially if you have little ones. The complaint I would have it how muddy the parking lot and actually the whole grounds can get. We got stuck in the mud for about 10 minutes when trying to leave. Other than that it is a really nice place!

They grow the majority of their vegetables. Tomatoes and corn are outstanding. Don't leave without one of their pies. I like the unbaked ones so I can serve it out of my own oven.

They are getting very expensive and everything inside you also have to pay additional fees to do. I always looked forward to the exotic animals they would bring but now they are more like farm animals.

While it has been great to see this place expand over the years and develop with new aspects, it is dissapointing as a parent at how ridiculously expensive it is to do any of the kids activities. What parent wants to spend $18.99 per each person to just get into a kids play area. Very dissapointing for my son's first pumpkin patch experience.

It is amazing how people flock to this place. It is clear as day that they do not take care of the animals, wake up people and look around. There are more humane places to take you family. Plus, there is no cs nor is this a friendly atmosphere; a bunch of sheep following the herd. Never again.
