Th dealership was organized and helpful. Kris Z was the best salesman I have ever dealt with. I'm glad we chose Southgate VW and will recommend them to everyone.

So glad I sold my Touareg. I will never by one again. Mainly due to this dealership.

They put my black car through there automatic car wash that has spinning brushes and damaged my car allover... wheels scratched.. both sides and chrome moldings scratched. I know this because I washed it and took pictures of it before dropping it off to ensure that if any damages done I would not have to argue I could just say look at the pictures.. also because my wheels were going into storage which I had never done before and was worried about them being damaged.

Months later of fighting with the dealership. Marvin the GM told me to go away... unless I had a high Def video then whatever I say and my pictures mean nothing.... he told the salesman to call me to trade my vehicle in at a 30 percent loss... I called the owner of dealership to tell him that Marvin was being ridiculous, insulting and hostile towards me.... he also did not care. Volkswagen Canada could not help because it was not a defect in the vehicle....

So if you go here tell them not to wash your vehicle. It says right on the machine that they are not responsible for anything.... I would never take my black car through a auto brush car wash anyway.... say no to the car wash! I told them not to but they did it anyway due to the vw survey... so just say under no circumstances are you to put my vehicle through that machine... it says not to in the vw manual.

Also get ready for overcharges. I was told 100 for an alignment.... actual price 280

They charged me 180 to fill the DEF tank... norden did that for free... just had to pay for Def.

I was charged 279 for them to zip tie a plastic shield on my car...... norden replaced the shield after the zip ties broke for 300....

I was charged 12 for washer fluid.... I filled it before I came in....

I was told I needed brakes at the cost of 2400.... drove another 40 000km before needing them to be replaced.

They lost the caps for my wheels and tried to charge me 1200 dollars for them... I later found them next to my spare tire... I didn't put them there.

I went to the service department 4 times.... 3 times was terrible and fighting about overcharges. Last time was when they damaged my vehicle.

I kept going back because they are 5 min from my house... I kept telling myself that maybe it was just that one time..... and Norden is 50minute drive.

Norden will give you a free loaner to make the drive... but be prepared to have to drive all that way.

If your thinking of buying go elsewhere or maybe go with a different manufacturer. I have owned 13 cars brand new and would not recommend vw.

So if you go here be prepared.... check your bill... whatever they tell you the price will be more when you pickup.... say no to the wash... the management will not help you.

I warned you... go at your own risk.

Our family recently purchased a new Volkswagen Atlas and we're very happy we did. I've never posted an online review before, but our wonderful experience at Southgate VW with Kent Astle seemed worthy of a share.

The Atlas itself is a solid vehicle. This is our first VW and we're definitely appreciating the design & engineering differences compared to Toy (sorry Kent, almost said the T-word again). While I like to keep things simple, I'm also really appreciating the Atlas' tech (ie. driver profiles, memory seats, 4Motion, cameras/sensors, etc). The trunk with the 3rd row folded down is huge and the R-Line package is definitely a nice touch.

As for the buying process, working with Kent was excellent. He was knowledgeable & honest, provided great customer service, and is just a "great human being :)". It was also great working with Jason and Seth during the finance portion. Overall, I feel like we purchased the right vehicle at the right place from the right person.

Walked in the front doors, attempted to drive a VW Jetta, and after waiting for the salesmen to pull a car out for me for 45 minutes, I left.

Have since purchased my Jetta from the Northside location where needless to say I didn't wait for almost an hour to have a look at a car.

The Southgate team were extremely helpful and set me up with the car I wanted in short order. Efficient, informative, and easy to work with. Thanks again Jackson, Mark, Evan, and Seth!

Great experience with this dealership, sent in a message online through their website to be contacted about a 2018 Golf got a quick response from Dan Heller who was excellent through the whole process made it very comfortable and easy. Met with Noel Tanner the sales manager afterwards to go through pricing and paperwork and he was clear and upfront about everything with the vehicle answered any questions I had. Very professional and comfortable experience. Drove out same day with my car. Quick and easy, would recommend.

Hi, bought a vehicle from Jonathan Cresta, the service was very good and I was sure to ask lots of questions, and if he didn't know he took the time to find out and get back to me.

They sales associate answered lots of questions even though I told him I was unemployed and just tire kicking. When I asked questions he didn't know the answer to instead of making something up he actually went to ask which was nice. I was receiving emails like you do from everywhere but instead of just repeatedly emailing until I move them to my spam email, I got one asking if I was still in the market or not and they actually stopped emailing! Don't be afraid to give your email!

I was recently there to get a car. Chris and Veer(finance) both were very helpful and absolutely explained everything before we made a deal. They have given me one of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The manager also showed interest in the deal and was very friendly. Thank you all for helping.

As I was pleased with the purchase, I was not on my first oil change in service. Made an appointment by phone, asked someone a day before about the price, he said it will be 140$, and they have shuttle service to go back home. I ask my wife to do it as I'm at work, they charge her 250 and they say they don't have shuttle service, so she with 2 little children has to stay up to two hours until they are done!
You just lost a costumer!

I had a great buying experience at Southgate Volkswagen! The gentleman that helped me out with the purchase of my vehicle was Kent Astle and he was very easy going and helpful but not pushy at all!! I highly recommend consulting him for your next VW purchase!

Not a great experience here but I don't feel like I have many options to go elsewhere as last VW I did that and it did not turn out well... Southgate modified my Diesel without my consent, spoke to staff and management and they all stated "we are going to do something for you, for the trouble and the error" then they got me to sign the legal forms (which I should NOT have done I know)... and then they completely 'forgot' about me and returned to treating me not so great ( I inquired about a new windshield and was met with rudeness, needless to say, getting a new windshield elsewhere). So basically your typical Car Dealership sidewinders who do not care about customer service or correcting their mistakes...

This is our 3rd vehicle purchased from Southgate VW and technically 5th from the Southgate auto group. An absolutely pleasure to deal with, very professional, courteous and special acknowledgement to my sales rep Alice Zielinski and Charissa Brower in finance. The most incredible individuals I had the pleasure of doing business with, an even better experience than we purchased our Audis from the store beside them. My only suggestion and request is to please have the finance department back upstairs, in the past, it was a nice space to be able to focus on the final details of the deal and away from the distraction and noise from the sales floor and surrounding areas. Overall, I am confident to recommend Southgate VW to any of my peers for future purchases or service.

Absolutely the worst dealership I have ever been to, I went to get an oil change and told them that I am also coming in to get an estimate to do some further engine work (I drive a Subaru) and when I get there they tell me they don't do engine work on my brand of car! Well I would have bloody loved to know that before I brought it there while I was on the phone with them! Also know people who have worked there and they absolutely hated it. Worst place ever. Go to the other Volkswagen dealerships.

Excellent service as always. This is my third vehicle purchase from this dealership since they used to be near the intersection of Calgary Trail and north of 51ave. Kris Zielinski help me find a fully loaded preowned with same day delivery and hassle free. He fulfilled all my needs with minimal questions asked, professional, experienced and excellent product knowledge. Financial manager Zara was new to her position at Southgate VW and she managed to get the paper work together with intricate attention to detail.

My car purchasing experience with Southgate VW started off pretty rocky (I won t go into details for the dealership s sake). Once I changed salespeople, it was like night and day. Working with Jackson was great. He was efficient, made sure the vehicle was clean, answered any of our questions and was thorough throughout the process. He even went out of his way to bring me a paint pen to my work! My overall experience with Southgate VW wasn t great but Jackson did the best he could to turn it around. What a great place to purchase a car. Anderson was more than accommodating and a great guy to deal with. We are now dealing on my daughters 2012 Hyundai Sonata for a volkswagon Jetta.

I live in Ontario and was looking to purchase a new Golf R in grey. They were sold out in Ontario so I reached out to Southgate VW through their website to ask what the price would be and if it would be possible to have the car shipped to Ontario.

A sales person named Anton contacted me the next day to discuss my options. He put together an price for me. The cost to get the car to Ontario was more than I wanted to spend. I thanked him for his time.

I continued my search for a Golf R and while dealing with local dealers I had a few questions so I reached out to Anton and asked them to him. I wasn't expecting him to answer them seeing as there was zero chance I was going to be a customer. Not only did he take the time to answer my questions through text, he actually called me to discuss them with me.

Though I never purchased a car from them, knowing they were willing to help out someone in another province even though they knew I'd never be a customer was really nice of them.

I've dealt with Chris, super nice gentlemen. I didn't end up buying due to financing issues. But over all good experience he let me test drive about 5 units, took his time, never felt rushed. Sorry we couldnt make a deal happen! But would definitely recommend.

Just bought a 2019 Tiguan. Andy was awesome, and we didn t feel pressured. Went to probably a dozen different dealerships including Norden. We found the service and follow up amazing. Hoping for many years with the new VW.

Was a little hesitant about going to another dealership after having a bad experience with Norden. From the second we started dealing with Southgate Volkswagen they were awesome. Scott McNaughton sent me a text message asking what i was looking for and i told him i was really wanting a VW Golf GTI. He asked me what features i was wanting and i gave him a quick list of what i was looking for. After a short time he called and said he had one. When we got to the dealership reception was very friendly and Scott introduced himself shortly and brought us out to see the vehicle. It was gorgeous and had everything i had asked for from the standard transmission to the plaid cloth seats! I was a little worried about the price and they worked with me and made sure finance payments were in my range. i was still a little hesitant and instead of being pushy he just said take it for a 24 hour test drive, and see what you think . Test drive went great and i was able to really see myself driving it. The next day we went back in and asked for a couple of things (wipers and the monster mats) and John the sales manager, didn t even bat an eye, just said to me absolutely and smiled. Financing was super friendly as well, Veer worked his magic, got me a decent interest rate and discussed extra protection features and knew i was in a tight budget and worked with me on that as well! Overall these guys went out of their way to ensure i was completely satisfied with my car! When we picked up, we talked with Jackson as well and he was ready to put the plate on and even gave us a couple more of the keychains, free of charge! told us if we had any concerns or needed anything else to let them know! i will DEFINITELY be recommending anyone looking for a vehicle, specifically a volkswagen, deal with these guys! super professional and personable! they were awesome from start to finish!!

You may pay a little extra but it is worth it. The people here are knowledgeable and patient, even when you are having a busy day and are not patient yourself. The parts guy (Ralph) knows his stuff and remembers you. The woman in service, (I think it's Rhonda),
is patient also. You can tell that this dealership takes customer service seriously here.

If it wasn't for the wonderful and courtiest service that Matthew provided to me, i wouldn't have bought my little golf 2017. I come in the dealership and there was that lady at the back with custumer service and I went to her because nobody came to me and ask me if I needed help. So I asked the lady a question about leasing a car and she was kind of rude and the kind of girl who doesn't seem to love her job very much. She just told me to go find a saleman... I'm not very familiar with those kind of process when it comes to car and i am french which can make things even more complicated for me. AND THEN Matthew came to see if I needed help, and after 2 minutes of talking he asked me if it was better for me i he would talk french which was amazing. He was the most honest salesman i've ever met in my life, he was patient, devoted and really wanted me to be confident in what i was buying. He explain every small details and gave me his best advice so I can make the best decision. He was honest enough to let me know it this was good and this wasn't, etc. that was a very good first experience in leasing a brand new car. I don't regret it. The only thing i didn't like about the dealership was the manager, which was really rude and you can see that he just wanted to make a deal withtout even my consentement or if i likes the price or not. He just wanted me to sign the papers, didn't even bother to say hi how are you. Not freindly at all... But after i went to the financial departement and the director of finance (I'm sorry i don't remember your name) HE was fantastic. We had really good conversation about anything and he was very kind and made all the big burden of paperwork lighter with his funny personnality. Thank you volkswagen to provide me a good experience ! I would recommend Matthew to everyone who is thinking about buying or leasing a volks.!

Amazing service and incredible people. We walked in very hesitant with our past expierences with other dealerships, but not this one. We walked the yard looking at a vehicle we had seen online and were very thankful no one tried to harass us. After we walked into the dealership we were greated right away and ushered to a salesman. Kris was incredibly helpful, answering all the questions we had even though he was previously engaged. Ensuring he checked in regularly to make sure we were doing alright. After a hiccup where the car we were looking at was sold (unbeknown to Kris) him and the manager came over to ask if there was anything they could do you help us out. We very quickly found another vehicle that met all our criteria and were given an extended test drive and allowed to take it for the evening and come back in the morning to make a decision.

Happy to say we are now the proud owner of a new vehicle! The process was made enjoyable, which is rare at a dealership. The no pressure environment combined with the friendliness of the staff made for an amazing experience. And if you are every looking for a new vehicle, remember that Kris at Southgate Volkswagen is not only the best in the business, but he is also the only car salesman in Edmonton!

I bought car here. Good at sale but not great at service! I had an issue on my car they fixed it, something was wrong and they did not accept it is their fault.

Dan the man. Easy communication, but takes a while to resolve some issues after sale.

Very happy with our purchase of a new Beetle convertible. Only Southgate had the model/options and colour that we wanted. Was great dealing with Southgate VW. Found our sales rep Christian very accommodating and eager to please. In Christian's absence worked with sales rep Anton who was also excellence. Also dealt with Sven, Evan and Carrisa to get the best price and extras on the likes of warranty, protective coatings, carstarters, etc. Had a couple snags with some extras being completed in the time period we had hoped for, however staff more than made up for it with some compensation and a courtesy car. Overall we are very satisfied!!! Thanks

Terrible experience, Poor customer service. I would never take my car here again for any type of service.

I recently have been shopping to get a new vehicle and thought I d leave a review for these guys even though I ended up going another route. I had the pleasure of dealing with Christian and and wanted to say he was professional, polite and patient. If it hadn t been for loyalty discounts from another manufacturer I would have bought from this Volkswagen dealership. Just wanted to say thank you and recommend coming to see Christian at Southgate Volkswagen if your in the market for a new VW.

Really happy with salesman Jackson & the Southgate VW team. They have provided me with the head turning vehicle I've been wanting. Haven't had the Tiquan for 24 hours & already people I've never met are coming up to me saying they love the car.

Kris Zielinski at Southgate VW is your guy when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. He is both knowledgeable and personal, listens to your needs. He even took time after the delivery to connect to see that everything was in order. A truly fantastic car buying experience.

Bad customer service. Being upset at someone phoning and asking for service is not how to do business. Then telling the customer they should just keep calling back because its busy without helping or putting someone on hold is not how to retain customers. Go to Sherwood Park VW instead, they are always friendly even if its busy.
