Fast answer of the call. Questions answered and help needed was done quick and accurately.
I've sent them proof of payment with bank statements since the beginning. I went into the dentist only to find my plan had been cancelled in April. No letter, no email, nothing informing me and still was taking my monthly payment. I had to pay full price out of pocket at dentist office. The website also still showed me as be "active." Now they refuse to give me my money back even with proof. Also, I was given a lower price through Marketplace, they had been charging me a much higher price each month. I also sent them proof of that, still no refunds.
The representative I worked with was very knowledgeable and courteous. He went above and beyond to insure that I had the understanding and information needed to make informed decisions.
Whenever I called for information, they helped me in a very kind and attentive manner. Very satisfied stay.
I had a very long phone call with someone from Solstice who sent me a list of dentists that were supposedly in my network. I made the appointment, filled out all (9 pages) of paperwork prior to going to the office, went to the dentist only to find out when I got there that they didn't take my insurance. Solstice gave me incorrect info, the dentist told me I was in network when making the appointment but never checked until I was actually in the office waiting to see the dentist. Both Solstice and the dentist (Smile Design of Hallandale Beach) deserve NO stars!

To have a crown put back in my mouth it was almost $300 with this insurance. I found out after if I would have gone and paid cash and a NON PARTICIPATING dentist it would not have been more than $125. This insurance is a scam and the dentist I went to tried to upsell me for just about everything under the sun. The deep cleaning with insurance was going to be over $700 cost to me. How much is a deep cleaning now a days? Well if I go to a local non participating it is under #250. Seriously questionable pricing. I would NOT recommend solstice for any services after my first experience.

He was diligent in making sure after many failed attempts to get any customer service or information from the company that I received the reimbursement I was seeking. I am glad to hear that others have been able to get a hold of this company and a least get an answer. I have called twice as the people on the other end told me to go online to get information about doctors local to me. I have gone on line at least once a day for the past 9 weeks and still cannot get the system to work. I have called dentists locally and I cannot find one dentist (of any quality) that will accept my coverage.
I have never seen a company so willing to take my money and not give anything in return. I now associate dental insurance companies with used car salesmen/saleswoman.

Throwing your $ away with this plan! Here is the letter I just received from my well known and fantastic dentist who has been around. he's been trying to get approval on "covered" procedures for 6 months now for me. Looks liek I'm not alone!
Dear Solstice Policyholders and Patients:
It is with regret that I am terminaitng my agreement to be a Solstice Insurance provider.
Most of the Claims I have submitted have been denied even for the most simple straight forward dental procedure such as an exam and cleaning. That puts the unfair responsibility on you to pay these claims or fight the insurance company to receive your juts payment. They also have not approved necessary dental care when sent in for pre-approval.
I will not put you or my office staff through the onerous task of trying to recieve your just reimbursement and I will not bill you for any dental procedures performed to date that were not reimbursed.
I will treat any dental emergencies you may have up to 90 days doing so pro bono but you will need to locate another Solstice provider for your regular dental care.
It is unfortunate having to terminate my relationship with Soltice but my office does not provide dental care that is consistent with Solstice's actions.

I had a positive experience with this dental insurance company (with the exception of some simple "glitches"). Customer service, when I had to call was GREAT. Using the online payment and navigation of the services was not so great. For an entire year I had to physically log into the site and manually pay my premium, even though each time I click on "autopay." Just this week, that feature worked but I am with a different insurance now. At the dentist's they basically said this was a "discount coverage" company. I still got good dental care (though I DID have a bill to pay for what wasn't covered). Overall, very decent for a VERY reasonable monthly premium.

For customer service, the rating should be 5 stars, but only 3 star for being American Private Insurance. I would much rather have complete dental coverage as a tax paying citizen, haha. Just a pipe dream, only the 1% gets Socialism in this backward corrupt country though. Being American SUCKS BIG TIME!!
I called Soltice to find out about my new plan, card and online access. I spoke to Kyle who not only answered within 1 minutes but gave me all the information I needed.

The reps and office support are very helpful. The plan, not so much. Turns out they were only supposed to pay $20 towards a cleaning and crown, and then didn't even pay that. I took the lower plan knowing I might pay more, but it didn't hold pre-existing conditions against you, and didn't have any caps on treatment, but then not to pay anything? Might as well not have it.
I'm beginning to wonder why I even bother with this insurance because there are so few dentists in network in my area and it doesn't cover anything if they aren't. However, when I call, they are extremely nice. Today when I called I had the pleasure of a woman named Dani helping me. She was wonderful, sweet, and very helpful. Thank you, again, Dani.
When I called to ask for a replacement ID card, the customer service rep was very helpful and friendly! Also very understanding and patient. It only took one call, and the wait to speak to a representative was hardly no time at all. Great experience!

I am extremely disappointed with Solstice. I have called and sent letters and emails and forms; you say you never received them. I wait on the phone an average of 30 minutes each time I call.
After waiting 30 minutes to reach someone, I spoke with you on 5/31/16 from 12:26 until 1:20 pm est. I called to discuss claims that were not received (although this was the second time sent) and not reimbursed. At first I sent them through the US mail, and then, I sent them through certified mail. I sent them to your PO Box, but you said I needed to send them to a physical address, if they were sent certified. Each time, I had to personally request of my dentist to send the physical xrays because Solstice won t reimburse without xrays. You suggested I scan a copy of the xrays to expedite the claims. I did this, but I was told that the images couldn t be read because I needed to use PDF. When I returned to my computer, after our call, I realized that I had used PDF. I am now for a final time going to a mail store to have them send these claims PDF AGAIN. In addition to these claims that I have been trying to resolve since November, and it is now July, I have a claim a doctor submitted and wrote a letter for that is outstanding since March. I cannot get a figure on when and what I will be reimbursed from Solstice reps.
I am very disappointed with your insurance. I don t know what the problem or hold up is, since it your job to handle claims and expeditiously reimburse people who have spent money on medical service they have paid to insure.

I made an appointment with one of their network Dentists, Great Expressions. Wouldn't do the regular cleaning as provided, said I needed a $526.00 my cost deep cleaning. Then checked for cavities and found 4, $363 my cost. I didn't trust them so I went to my previous Dentist before I lost me GOOD insurance and paid out of pocket for a cleaning $140. They didn't charge for Xrays. Said I have one cavity $138!

New to this insurance. Tried to make an appointment with one of the providers on their website but was told they do not participate so the list may be outdated. Just called solstice to speak with someone to get a verbal current list of providers and after following all the prompts and entering my information to "find a provider" it gave me an error message and disconnected. Now concerned that we paid for the year and it may not even be a real insurance company. Will call again and email
The customer service representative was so nice and helpful! I chose to write a review because I had to deal with Marketplace representatives who were not so nice and were talking to me in a disrespectful manner. I had to jump threw hoops to get my issue resolved. However, with Solstice, I called and my issue was resolved in under 5 minutes!

I got recommended to a oral surgeon by my dentist and when calling the surgeon they said they did not except solstice at insurance . So I called solstice asked for a oral surgeon near by the excepts you . She was very helpful and emailed me a whole list of places nearby and the surrounding 3 county s . Would of been 5 stars if wasn t out on hold the few times but besides that very helpful
