Staff were curteous, friendly and were always happy to help you with any queries. Very impressed with the customer service. The choice of food for breakfast buffet was adequate and of good quality. The room itself was spacious and bed comfortable. Definitely lives up to its 5-star status.
Nice and cosy hotel in Sydney not too far from Darling Harbour. Rooms are ok. Service was also ok. Close to everything and not to far from CBD. Not far from Martin place railway station and bus interchange on Castlereagh St going to South, inner city or western suburbs or elizabeth St going to circular quay or eastern suburbs.

The best bit was that it was the hotels anniversary and we got free champagne upon arrival which was great. Staff was welcoming but other than that the rooms were nothing exciting.
The staff were wonderful but we were dissapointed by our ensuite shower which leaked water throughout the room and the lack of a fan in there meant it was uncomfortable to use the toilet! Breakfast was great but as soon as we got back to our room we both felt very sick. Overall we were let down by the quality of the hotel and though the staff did a wonderful job and always were helpful we will be choosing a different hotel next time.
The hotel is nice enough however the whole place felt dated, past it's prime. The amenities are very subpar considering it's a 5-star establishment.

The staff at the hotel was very helpful. Especially Kevin (did get chance to ask his name but pretty sure, only Asian concierge working at the time of stay) one of the concierge as he was very welcoming and very helpful when we here looking for places to visit will we were in Sydney. The location of the hotel was very central to where we need to be. The rooms were a little bit small. As we were travel in a fairly large family group the reception was really helpful in providing enough sleep arrangements for all of us. If I was to travel to Sydney I would definitely stay at Sofitel Sydney again.
Sofitel Wenworth is a great place to stay when in Sydney city , Near to many shopping areas and easy access to great restaurants and cafes.

Hotel was as expected, excellent, but parking is a problem. lack of concierge assistance in this regard as we are elderly and not very mobile would certainly not encourage us to use this hotel again, and then there is the account!!!. I was quoted $57 for parking on our overnight stay, however The account shows two charges of $57. Also using a free night cost us $300 plus $70.40 and then a charge for using my credit card. These hidden charges do you no credit and only serve to lose support. You have lost mine.

Staff were very good although the service in the bar was a bit slow. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Quite a bit of road noise however. The car parking was a bit of nightmare.
We were very happy with our stay at the Sofitel in Sydney. It was a lovely room and had everything that we needed. The location is great too.
Stay Dates: 17/11 to 19/11 (2 nights). We conducted a wedding from this hotel. We had a lot of requests and the hotel was very accommodating to all requests. Customer service was excellent and everything was of top quality. We would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back.

Some elements seem a bit dated, although this is a very welcoming and classy hotel with an excellent cafe on street level. The rooms are very clean with great service on entry and checking in.
Surprisingly good. I found the location great and the service wonderful. The facilities were slightly improved from my usual stay at the Novotel on Darling Harbour, though the staff at the Harbour are perhaps even a bit more friendly and helpful.

It surprised me when I was informed during check out (28 July 17) that I have exceeded my daily allowance cap (AUD 40) of laundry on a certain dates during my two weeks stay in the hotel, but i cant figure out why in view that i had consistently sent in the same number of clothes for laundry for the whole two weeks of stay.
I had requested the front office to check and investigate, but sad to know to-date I have not received any feedback or outcome of the follow up. What I have received mainly a bill of the extra charge amount of laundry amounted AUD 55.56 (tax invoice no: 536645 dated 28 July 17). I would like to request to waive such charge which incurred on undue course
Hotel staff were attentive and friendly. The conference room was a little small for a group just shy of 300 but still workable.

I love this hotel... first it is situated right on the Central business district. It is close the circular quay about 8 mins walk where you can take harbour tours. It is 12 mins by walk to the Opera House.
Second, I love the friendly and professional service of its staff. At check in when my son was feeling car sick upon arrival they gave him complimentary bottle of water. He was still uneasy and the front desk gave him a small box of chocolates.
Going up to our room, my daughter was crying... the bell boy came back to the room and gave her a teddy bear to make her feel better. That's what I call great service! Loving our stay here in Sofitel Sydney Weltworth.

From check-in to check-out my experience was nothing but positive. I travel a lot and don't always get to choose where I stay, but can confidently say that you have the best staff in the business - from reception, to cleaning staff, to restaurant staff. All good. Hotel is on the older side, but kept in good condition.

We have chosen to stay here for previous conferences we've attended in Sydney. Having pointed out an issue we had during our last stay, James at Front Desk could not have been more helpful to avoid a repeat for this stay. This stay was flawless & we will be very happy to return for our next Sydney stay. Location is ideal for us to get to around on foot, the staff are very attentive & we enjoyed our food & beverage experiences here too.
Great location close to most attractions. Harbour, shopping malls, great restaurants and pubs. Galleries and parks. The hotel has a beautiful ambience. Rooms clean. Busy times you can wait for the elevator for a while.customer care is okay. I had a standard room. Basic cleanliness. Dusty headboard and corners that are not easily seen.Could be better but could have been on that day only. Will visit again.
Ongoing building works that were not advised on website. 10am drilling and hammering on Public holiday. Indifferent attitude from reception staff when asked to move. Very disappointing.

Room was ok. Tiny, good bed and well maintained however. Even the cheapest options will get you a little balcony facing their garden. Restaurant seemed overpriced, and being near the middle of Sydney would rather go out to eat. Location is excellent, 10 minute walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Beware, the walk back is uphill!! I walked here from a bus stop nearby with a 40lb bag on my back, and walked downhill to the Quay train station in the same situation, so this was important for me. 4 stars for not feeling like a true 5 star hotel, just a nice hotel.
Very comfortable nice stay. Room was small ish but absolutely fine!! The bed was fabulous. No free Wi-Fi :/ and TV small and slightly outdated. The front desk staff, and room service food great. Shower nice, and amenities great. I would stay again- only downside is the no free Wi-Fi.

I have recently stayed at Sofitel Wentworth with my husband from 9/1-13/1 for our 7th anniversary, we are 10 out of 10 happy about the stay, it was perfect. From the second we arrived at the hotel with the shuttle bus, Thomas came forward welcomed us, I couldn t thank him enough for giving us all the helpful information when we asked for recommendations for food and transport, same as Sam when we met him in the lift he offered to give us suggestions when we said we got so lost the night before, all the staffs are super professional and helpful, I highly recommend this hotel, perfect location, walking distance to the Opera House, darling Harbour and Chinatown, very close to public transport as well. Room service was spot on, it was a perfect stay for us. Can t fault it. Definitely will go back. Thank you everyone for the unforgettable experience. :)

The room I stayed in was outdated style wise and unfortunately the hotel still charges for internet - quite a a lot of money and with a limited amount of devices at a time. Bed is however very comfortable with an enjoyable layered mattress topper, linen and room were clean. The breakfast is also generous and sets a very high standard on product quality, and showcases a great diversity of cuisines. Most of the staff are constantly friendly, helpful and available. The hotel seems to intentionally employ female and male staff as housemaids and valets for the rooms, which i personally deem modern and undiscriminatory. Shame some of the installations haven't kept current in times of constant technological change (the business centre has very little equipment in a hotel than only offers 30 min of free, slow wifi in the hotel lobby).
We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the late checkout.
The Sofitel Wentworth is limited by factors out of its control (heritage building in CBD = limited room size and no pool). However, where it can cater, it delivers. Service, room and offerings are excellent. I was particularly impressed by the lounge offerings, which go above and beyond those experienced in similar hotels - so make sure you consider a room with lounge access, it may be worth your while.
Made a payment to stay through an external site with proof of funds leaving my account. 1.5 months later i surprisingly see that they have taken funds out of my account again without any form of communication to myself.
I do not understand why it has taken so long for them to realise that there has been an internal error and that payment hasnt gone through. Why would you allow someone to stay at the hotel if you are not sure of payment.
This is a 5 star hotel but where is service and communication? Just taking funds whenever they please without explanation with very rude staff who dont even bother to call you back when you raise a concern.

It s hard to see why this is a 5 Star. The hotel has no pool or sauna at all. No gym or fitness facilities. I stayed in the Prestige Suite. There was not even a toilet brush provided. The tv was small with limited channels. The suite door was heavy and incredibly difficult to open. It would often take me 5-10 minutes just to leave my room. The room service can take 10+ minutes to actually answer your call (twice this happened on the Friday evening). Then on the Saturday the toilet stopped working and they had nobody onsite that could fix it so we had to move to another suite. Overall it s nowhere near a 5 Star experience.
