While a wounderful pice of modernest architecture and nice rooms, I was disappointed at the poor response when I reported items stolen from my room.

I know that under the innkeepers act they are not responsible, but a little more care and attempt at investigation would have been appreciated.

Well, there are plenty of other great hotels to choose from in Sydney.

From the check in experience to ALL the staff I encountered and the overall ambience and style has made this our 'go to' establishment in Sydney.
Thank you to everyone at the Sofitel Wentworth who always make our stays so enjoyable.

Well sized rooms, great breakfast, downtown location, good price quality ratio, friendly staff, all in all a nice place to stay. Only bummer is the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening.

Day 4 of hotel quarantine. The staff have been super accommodating especially Anna and Michelle. Tough gig for the staff in difficult times with guests couped up in their rooms. The food also has been exceptional.
I travel frequently and had not considered staying at Sofitel Wentworth. After this visit under these circumstances I am very impressed and will stay again.

It is more like a 2 star hotel, I stayed during hotel quarantine, I cleaned the room, full of dust, hairs in bath, shower head chipped. I was denied fresh air, window was sealed, I asked manager Thomas if I could open door for ten minutes, not allowed he said. Wish I had a CO2 monitor as I don t believe the air was clean. Food was inedible and with only a kettle unable to cook anything if we ordered in. Restrictions on alcohol, when I asked why the manager said it gets messy as people have thrown chairs against windows this I can understand! My human rights were removed at this hotel!!

I was staying in Sydney for business as part of a regular trip and decided to bring my family with me so we needed a little more space. At the extra price per night, I did not feel that the room or quality was value for money when compared to alternative accommodation in the area.

As an Accor member, I stayed last December and it was fantastic. Older rooms then they new sofitel over at darling harbour, but still luxurious. The bar is very nice, and they have a good food menu. I had breakfast with my stay and that was certainly a highlight! I noted there was no pay per view movies available at the hotel, when I called to ask and they had apologized as the service was being transferred to a new supplier, which is fair enough. However what I did not expect is that to say sorry, they brought up a bottle of wine. The concierge was also fantastic, giving me directions to Watson Bay and Bondi beach. As for the location you can not ask for too much else, it is close to the train station if your coming through from the airport, and nice and central being close to circular key and Pitt street.

What I like the most is location of this hotel. It's in the city and 10 min walk from Opera House, Hyde park, shopping area. Hotel is nice, beautiful lobby and nice rooms. Food is good, I really liked breakfast. Staff is also nice and helpful. It's really good value for money.

Check in was prompt and efficient by Lauren who found a room that was available for immediate occupancy and also upgraded me as I mentioned that this stay would make me a Gold member!

A special mention to Rhys who was extremely personable and very pleasant to deal with. If he was in the lobby and saw us he would welcome us by name and always make sure I had a glass of bubbles when it was being served.

Wonderful weekend away in Sydney at the Sofitel. Excellent service when we arrived from the introduction at the Taxi, Concierge and the Front desk. The flower arrangements in the foyer was amazing all weekend. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom looked good but slightly dated. The amenities in the room were excellent.
We found the location perfect to walk either to the Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. From this location we did many things from Vivid light show in both Darling harbour & Circular quay, the Sydney bridge walk, the Opera house, Paddy's Market plus much more.
It was an excellent place to stay overall and I would recommend it.

Pros: Great staff and check-in experience

Pros: Great staff and check-in experience

Constructive feedback: red flashing light on the bedside telephone kept flashing. Assuming there was a message left for previous guest and was never erased.

FB staff need to check salt and pepper shakers in restaurant. My table and 2 around me were both empty.

Barista may require further training. My partners latte was half froth.

Other than that amazing stay.

The hotel room is fine, the toilet is super-fine and old, the sound insulation is super poor, and the door is heard from the side of the house. The door is closed and the door is closed. It is not like a five-star hotel. It is extremely disappointing.

Great location with a helpful staff. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but are really functional so if you are traveling on your own and on business you don t really need a palatial space. As I said the location is fantastic within easy walking distance to most major buildings in the CBD, the Botanical Gardens, the Opera House, and Darling Harbor. I checked in pretty early and whilst they are pretty strict about early check ins getting access to their rooms, they did set me up with a place to shower and change. Solid business hotel option in downtown Sydney.

I stayed in Sofitel Sydney Wentworth during my quarantine period for international travelers. I enjoyed this stay very much for 2 weeks. Rooms and bathrooms were super clean. Staff were also very helpful and polite. Food was above the expectations. Hotel staff tried their best to keep their guests busy by sending puzzles and sudoku games. Thumbs up for the management for the great job done even during a difficult times.

Excellent hotel. Clean, classy. This hotel is very well located for when visiting the Rocks. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby (walking distance). We used Uber to and from the hotel (30 mins ride with teaffic). Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Conveniently situated, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth allows for easy access to Sydney's main tourist attractions. It has a gym, as well as a beauty centre, an executive floor and a rooftop terrace.

This modern hotel offers an express check-in and check-out feature, valet parking and a ballroom. It has child-minding services, a currency exchange and a reception that is available around the clock.

The rooms at Sofitel Wentworth were renovated in 2004 and have a mini bar, a refrigerator and a spa bath. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower, and include a hair dryer and bathrobes.

Sofitel Wentworth Hotel Sydney's in-house restaurant, Garden Court, is a popular spot to enjoy a meal. Each evening, I can relax in the lounge bar and also enjoyed my daily breakfast in the breakfast room.

Staff were great. Check in person was delightful. Even the room cleaners were friendly and chatty as I passed them in the corridor. The room was clean and quite suitable for my needs. A drink at the bar was a pleasant experience. Parking worked well for me with the valet service. All up, a good experience.

Staff are rude & condescending. I requested to change rooms as the lift was on the opposite side of the wall was too noisy. After a long flight they failed to show empathy & begrudgingly changed my room. In the process I lost my company allowance for my stay in the city, upon realizing they told me the room was already occupied & would not aid me, even though it was the poor quality the room provided that lead to the misplacement. The staff showing me to my room
Didn t even offer to assist me with a door or my bags, even though they had wheels.
I tried to go down before my check out & the manager was very belittling & provided no assistance.
Stay somewhere else if you can.

Wonderfully friendly and welcoming check-in. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed the bar area and the restaurant and found the food, drink and service to be top-notch in both. We were very happy with the way our luggage was looked after for us when we needed it stored a little longer after our check-out.

Attention to detail is lacking. Overall pleasant but below are some instances when this hotel just lacked extra.

CHECK-IN:
Friendly however did not know we had a package so did tell us about breakfast, late check out, and welcome drinks. We had to call someone to confirm.

BREAKFAST:
I had to ask for the following, which I think should be standard:
- cutlery
- butter
- tablespoon for cereal (none kept close to cereal so I had to look around for it)
- teaspoon (if you re serving tea or coffee, just ALWAYS assume your guest is having sugar with it)

Pancakes were underdone with probably 2 tablespoons of syrup.

Rooms are okay, a bit dated but clean.

I don t understand how Accor can present this hotel as their flagship Sofitel in Sydney. It s like going to a Novotel to be honest.

We love staying at the Sofitel. The gin and tonic on arrival was lovely. Beautiful service. I happened to mention that we were in Sydney for our wedding anniversary and we were completely surprised to find some sparkling wine and strawberries in our room later in the evening. Such a lovely thing to receive. Thank you to the kind member of staff who organised this. It was completely unexpected and very much appreciated. Our room was comfortable, the bed so soft. I would have preferred a firmer pillow. Our room was near the elevator so we did experience a lot of noise. We will request not to be near the elevator next time. Overall, we are very happy with our experience and we will continue to stay at the Sofitel when we come to Sydney. It is our little get away treat. Thank you.

Beautiful amazing Hotel. Have attended several professional events as there is a great conference area downstairs such as a recent Seminar hosted by Adobe which are usually very well catered by the Hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. One moment stands out. I ordered sweet potato chips at the Soiree bar and I asked them to remove sauce so as to make it vegan. It took a little longer than expected to arrive as they went to the trouble of changing the oil as well!

The experience was great.

The experience was great.

Pros: Every friendly staff and great service especially Innis whom we met at the restaurant twice. She is very professional and dedicated worker.

Cons: the beds were a bit too soft for our liking.

Joanne on reception is utterly useless. She has absolutely no idea of what she is doing and there doesn't appear to be anyone guiding her. Firstly she wanted to charge us $189.00 per night, this with a 40% discount for a room that we paid for using our Accor Points. Now that we have returned home, I have discovered the same girl has double billed my expenses. One using my business account and one on my credit card. Seriously, the Manager at the Hotel should get rid of her. She has caused me so much grief. Apart from the fact that you can't swing a cat in the room, I was comfortable there and the staff on the concierge desk and in the Soiree and Garden Restaurant were absolutely brilliant.
