Great service, although had to wait a long time to get a toothbrush up to three room. Rooms are a little "old" and showering in a bath is very uncomfortable.

Upgrade was a lovely surprise. A suite for a week rather than a night would be delightful. One day maybe.
Beds and pillows much too soft.

Located close to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Food is also very good with friendly staff.

I felt very welcomed and well attended to. The service was excellent and everything went very smoothly. l couldn't have asked for more.

It was a very short stay but it was nothing short of incredible. Ludovica from food and beverage should be commended for her outstanding service. She delivered our in room dining and did everything to ensure my partner and I were satisfied. I would go back to the Sofitel just to be served by her.
All other staff were also outstanding. Would do anything to assist us. The Accor brand for me is incredible and will try to stay with the brand for most if not all of my stays.

Disappointed that checkin was so late, but room quality was good.

Excellent location close to downtown and Circular Quay. We arrived very early morning via train from the airport after a long (15-hour) flight and 30-hour total transit time. Staff was very helpful in giving us suggestions of places to eat and activities to do until our room was ready. They also stored our luggage in the interim. Room was clean and well maintained. We would recommend this hotel to others looking for a nice hotel in the downtown area of Sydney.

It is a family holiday. As a Platinum Member receive no special service. No VIP check in, in the Executive Lounge, just an upgrade to the next higher category of room. You get that with Gold. No slippers in the room, no scales. Executive lounge always crowded, little choice of hot food. Breakfast was only in the lounge to be taken, no offer this in the breakfast room to take. All this was offered at the Sofitel Melbourne, with very good service. As a Platinum Member, I often spend the night in the Sofitel chain, unfortunately this hotel in Sydney was by far the worst.

Some of the nicest people work here. Concierge service and the people on the front desk are very nice. In room dining people are not polite at all.

Not recommended. Rooms were old and dirty. Room service was appalling, nothing worked, tv, lights etc.

The hotel is outdated. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is overpriced and very ordinary

Clean room, and toilet. Amenities are full. Most importantly water pressure and hot water is sufficient. Had a good sleep

Not 5 star in my opinion. Room very poky indeed. Ensuite cupboard size.

Best part of the hotel was the bar area.

I can only share my experience at the lounge/bar on the ground floor as I was not staying the night, having said that my experience was a pleasant one. The drinks were made well and prices were reasonable considering the inner city location. The barman even made an overly 'flamboyant' drink to heckle my best mate as requested. What a champ!

Great stay in the CBD of Sydney, friendly and great service. Basically you get all what you ask for.

Fantastic service and beautiful rooms. The staff were attentive and professional. The breakfast had a great variety of fresh food.

Hotel is modern and located close to everything. Staff were attentive and great with family's. On arrival they gave the kids Kinder surprises and colouring books so they were happy. Pool is a little small and can get busy. The buffet breakfast was great but super popular so expect a 10 mins wait for a table (we stayed on a long weekend). Overall great hotel, would recommend

More than adequate. Hot water was offline for an hour unfortunately during my stay.

Parked in the Secure Parking underneath. Evening parking is cheap. Valet took a while to retrieve my car.

Went to dinner and show, The Temptations. It was brilliant well organized, great service, delicious food everything was fabulous.

Well located and nice amenities in general rooms are clean but would need refurbishing.....

High tea not great. Hotel is lovely to stay however the high tea was disappointing. Holes and frayed napkins (see pics) and staff that spent more time talking to each other behind the bar. Go elsewhere for a great high tea experience Vaucluse Tea rooms or Gunners Barracks. Gunners Barracks with views of the harbour is the best Sydney high tea and experience with super food and attentive staff. Sofitel needs to really lift it's game!

We enjoyed a high tea at the Soiree. The food was delicious and creative. The tea selection was slightly limited in comparison to other high tea places in the city, however the tea I was served was delicious (strawberries and cream). The staff were extremely friendly. I would recommend this for a casual high tea with friends or business colleagues.

It is always a pleasure staying at the Soifitel Wentworth, The club sofitel lounge was a welcome relief to check in and enjoy afternoon tea and evening canapes before a great evening on the town for the Vivid light show. Breakfast was good the following morning and a late check out was appreciated as my flight back to Melbourne was at 5pm, My congratulations to the staff for their service standard and level.

What an incredible wedding venue. My partner James and I were so happy to have celebrated our wedding at Sofitel Wentworth in the Garden Terrace restaurant on Saturday night. The professionalism of Merve Sevenler and her team made the organisation process so easy, she was so quick to reply to any queries and to alleviate any concerns. She and Morgan in catering went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful wedding reception. Our guests were so impressed with the service and the incredible quality of the food! We loved it. Thanks again, Cass and James.

Visited here for an event. Staff were friendly but sometimes hard to catch because they're so busy. Nevertheless, great spaces and bathrooms. Unfortunately the food (braised beef with chilli?) didn't go well as everyone got bloating. I had nausea and cramping for 2 days. Other than that, great location!

The Club lounge on the 5th floor was my home away from home, office, breakfast nook, gathering place, and other things. Wonderful staff all around.Room was impeccable, although it would have been better still, to have a window that I could open.

another case of a business wasting their time concentrating on things people don't care about (e.g.staff who don't speak French saying bonjour all the time & massive flower displays in the lobby) and forgetting about things that are actually important (e.g a good quality tv that shows the entire picture) room service is rubbish and I find the $9 bottle of water next to the bed quite insulting.. are you daring me to touch it?? and the wifi, seriously?? this place is more interested in fleecing their customers than serving them.. in a word.. merde

Had to wait a long while at reception when checking, there was only one person serving.
Everything else was good.
Breakfast was a little expensive otherwise good.

The hotel was overall of high standard. It is in a perfect location in Sydney. Rooms are clean and comfortable, however the shower is aggregate with no exhaust fan. Breakfast bar was very disappointing with the hot food not so hot.

Dimitri in the Garden Court restaurant was fantastic. Friendly and helpful, he explained the specials, and suggested some beautiful wines to go with our food choices. He made our night...

Only attended as conference guest, however, no data reception in conference area and no ability to log in to wifi. Great location, great facilities and staff. Catering was also a win.

Being a gold member of the Accor Brand did not have the recognition that I have experienced at other Accor hotels. The bed was not of the usual Sofitel comfort.

Lovely hotel! My family and I stayed here for a night. Warm welcomes, easy check-in and spacious rooms were amongst a few of the things we enjoyed! The room service was quick and so friendly as well.

It was a very nice hotel but was disappointed with the room considering it's supposed to be 5 star the bed was uncomfortable the pillow slip had marks on it the dressing gown was stiff and uncomfortable.I had stayed at a 4 star hotel the night before whilst it lacked the marble and chandelier in the foyer it was a third of the price included breakfast and room was twice the size and better appointed.

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Extras like mini bar items, room service and movies expensive. Conference catered for professionally, great setup for presentations and exhibits.

I would not recommend this hotel - it was simply not up to the standard expected of Sofitel.
The first room I was given was not cleaned properly - half finished bottle of wine and stale cheeseboard and previous guest details still in the room.

Second room - no TV remote - no opener for beer etc.

We only stayed one night, but felt really well taken care of. We had a lot of luggage as we were travelling the next day to move interstate. When we arrived Charlie was really helpful at unloading the bags, our room was not yet allocated but I explained that we needed access quite quickly as we needed to head out to event. We were processed quickly in the club lounge and by the time we got to our room Charlie was waiting with our bags. Fantastic service! It was a pleasure to stay and we will be back.

Staff were friendly but the facilities were lacking... Sauna and Spa are things that are expected at a quality hotel

Nicely located hotel in CBD, easy access to Sydney Harbour, the rocks and circular Quay. . friendly staff, nice rooms... wish the had a swimming pool...

Left some drycleaning in the room, called the hotel and asked why we hadn't been called, meet with we don't call you need to call us, reply "who's did you think it was after we were staying there" it's not our policy.
So it's not a 5 star hotels policy to call and arrange return of expensive personal property.

Was here for a conference, hotel staff were very attentive and helpful.
The catering was great and plenty of it, room temperature was nice and constant which when your sitting down all day is a good thing!

Don't expect any useful communication from this place (presumably unless you're a celebrity or very rich). I needed to have a quick conversation with one of the managers. I called on four different days and was told he's not available. During two of those calls I was asked if I wanted to leave my number and he'll call me back. I agreed. No phone call. I sent a total of eight emails (I just counted) to various email addresses for the hotel, including the one they're advertising in their responses to these reviews. Not a single reply. On my fifth attempt at phoning I finally got through to him and received a very vague and unhelpful response. He said he could've given more information if I called earlier! They obviously took half a glance at my messages and decided it doesn't look important so we'll just ignore it. Go some other place where the staff is decent, not arrogant.

Went to a two days conference. Hotel is nice and conference room are great.

I have stayed there for only one night to attend Accountantsdaily Award night dinner. The room was excellent, neat and tidy, the grand ballroom was mind blowing. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful and well presented. They were really professionals.

I wish I had more days and nights to enjoy in those luxuries. It was awesome experience.

The bathrooms are oddly shaped, the rooms are rather small, but apparently that's all part of the charm. Well decorated and the staff are excellent, just be sure to look for the "Wentworth" because the Sofitel branding is just a little subtle.
