Great place for conference but parking staff at the hotel extremely rude

Excellent and courteous staff. With the initial greetings to look after the guests. The rooms are full of basic amenities and daily house keeping services are notch. The hotel itself is closer; in fact walking distance to all the major Sydney attractions. Just 10 to 15 minutes of walking. Recommend to all ages and needs. Thank you again to the services provided to us by Sofitel at Wentworth.

Hotel in the middle of the buildings so after 8 pm, more life. Excellent breakfast.
Avoid the rooms facing the lifts (very noisy mechanical column). Rooms with balcony from 6th to 8th, beyond the windows do not open.

From the moment we walked into the foyer, we were made to feel welcome. I was presented with a beautiful rose by a staff member which made my day. The floral arrangements in the foyer were stunning and added to the ambience of the hotel. The greeting we received from the staff at reception was warm and friendly. We appreciated the complimentary drink vouchers and chocolates we were given.

Very friendly & attentive staff. A most enjoyable stay. Breakfast is highly recommended too.

We were attending a meeting at the State Library, we were using a free night courtesy of ACCOR and we just needed a comfortable bed for the night with good simple room service food for dinner. It well and truly filled all our needs and any staff were extremely pleasant. Thank you,

Great Service, Great Rooms and above all Great Cleaningnes which you don't see often in these old 5 Star Hotel's! Great Work Sofitel. Why can't all hotels be like this, Clean, Fresh, Friendly, Welcoming, Well Spoken, Alway's wanting to help ( most other hotels 5 Star mind you have those staff members that look at you as if your asking them to move mountains when your asking for a glass of water ), Love the French greeting, House Keeping staff are trustworthy and respectful I had my wallet out and jewlery and watches as I was out for breakfast they came in and clean my room and my room was fresh and nothing was touched didn't look twice to even bother to check if money was missing because I could tell and as I was leaving the nice young man (wish I got his name) stopped me to give me my credit card I left near the night stand. You can't buy class but you hire it in this lux Original, first of its kind historical building at Sofitel. If it's good enough for the royals of England well what more can you say.

Highly reccomend! The team here are amazing, rooms are spacious and clean, food is delish! Great location to easily get to loads of activities Sydney is offering plus close to loads of food options if youd like to explore.

My overnight stay was for business. These are usually perfunctory, check-in / checkout stays, however my experience this time was made particularly special by your excellent staff. Alp, the lovely young Turkish man on the front desk, was a delight to chat to and, he up-graded me to a very nice room! Thanks Alp!!! Then, the young man (South American), waiting in the front bar and I had a wonderful conversation about cheese while I had a champagne & cheese platter. Personable yet very professional!

Best place for stroll with you dog off leash, friendly dogs & owners & always pleasant

Very enjoyable. One thing - coffee/tea and sugar were adequate but very little milk in the fridge.

Poor quality. Small, tired, dated rooms. Food average at best. Seemingly trading off its central location. Avoid if possible.

Overall, would not recommend. Breakfast on level 5 was the highlight of the stay. Good location in the CBD.

Heater in my Superior room did not work. Asked twice on the first night to get it fixed however was never taken care of. Cockroach crawled up the bathroom door on the second morning of my stay. And as many other reviews pointed out, TV reception is worse than old analogue signals and basically unwatchable.

Everything seems so perfect for us,just for a small and not spatious bathroom.

Location is excellent, however the rooms are simple.. Staff are friendly and food is good! They have an amazing breakfast with a lot of healthy choices!

This is a magnificent hotel, and with loads of history behind it. Very easy to move around from there.

A very friendly and helpful greeting on arrival. A very comfortable and well appointed room. A most excellent breakfast and an easy checkout on departure. My only issue was uncertainty regarding the status of the discounted parking fee which i thought had been included in my initial booking fee but which was required to be paid for on departure.

I have always felt well looked after by all staff. Especially from Lilian in Guest Relations.

A very pleasant environment... rooms are comfortable and quiet. I had a great steak at Soriee....and good news for us, we'll be returning for a one-night stay on the second of February.

Perfect location for accommodation or business meetin just up the hill from Circular Quay and across from Chifley Tower. Excellent breakfast buffet and 1st class facilities

I have stayed at this hotel when travelling to Sydney for over 15 years. I had to cancel my latest booking because Qantas cancelled my flight to Sydney at the last minute and I had to reschedule. I immediately called Sofitel to cancel my booking and organise a credit for my next trip to Sydney. The desk manager refused to do this and charged me a full night's accommodation. Fifteens years as a loyal customer. I am now taking my business elsewhere....

Restaraunt Review: Food was good, staff curteous. $35 for the lunch special plus beer. No stable Wifi from restraunt.

Very handy location, near to all the action..staff are very polite and very responsive..glamorous foyer design..room was a bit smallish but beautifully designed..
The lift was a bit of question mark as it did take ages to arrive at the requested floor!!

A nice hotel, the problem I found was I had a lot of gear to unload from my car, the valet men did not really help but made me feel as though I was in the road with my car. I felt hurried. Inside the hotel help was not forthcoming and a woman who was at the desk also ga e me the impression I was a nuisance. I d not stay here again.

Attended a function at the main ballroom. Entrees were ok. Best was the Peking duck wrap (high recommended). The meals we received were not bad, just a bit dry. Perhaps it's because they were catering to 300+ people. The staff also kept trying to give the incorrect meal to people with dietary requirements. I would recommend the place again for any future functions. They go alright.

Service was good, breakfast was a bit of a let down though, it is a Sydney classic and icon.

Rooms were extremely small but very clean and well organized. Staff in the lobby were also very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent with an omlette station and a generous supply of fresh fruit and a diverse selection of hot foods. The lobby and elevator area also looked very new and clean, and the location of the hotel itself was very convenient.

Great place with great service, though you do pay for it. If you can get a discount room it's definately recommended.

We received a warm welcome at every human touch point which really made our days there. The team were efficient, warm and attended to us with enthusiasm on our queries. They always greets and engages each time we passes them on our ways in and out. The room is clean and comfortable and room service is always prompt. The bathroom is a bit old but clean. A lovely stay in short.

the hotel made a mistake and made me pay twice for a room. I paid the first time by direct debit but when I rang to confirm the receptionist said it was not so I paid for another room by credit card. I received a reply to say that was paid for. A week before coming in I rang to advise them that I had paid for the first as it was shown on Bank Statement. When I arrive they found that I had paid for two rooms. I asked to be given the expensive room to help them but I did not receive my $60.00 voucher as was stated when I first booked. They gave me a voucher for two drinks. To think we had our Wedding Reception there, this was a slap in the face.

Staff were wonderful, nothing too difficult always. happy to offer up suggestions to make our stay memorable

Lovely hotel. Lounge access is awesome. Bathroom shower pressure leaves a lot to be desired.

This hotel couldnt be further from the world wide sofitel standard my wife and i have stayed in. Booked a king deluxe room-i would hate to see the standard of a superior room based off the general appearance and standard of the room we have been accomodated in. Chipped doors, hair in bathroom, grubby scuffs and hand marks on the walls, wet patch in carpet and standover shower/bath not dissimilar to what one would expect in a 3 star hotel.
Very disappointing and would not reccomend. The holiday inn in mascot has even given this hotel a run for its rating.

Rooms are a bit old but the service is great. Afternoon tea and breakfast is great at the sofitel club. Beds are incredible comfortable!

Fantastic hotel, in particular impeccable service from the the bar attendant Levan. Very friendly character, would recommend this establishment to business partners.

We returned to the Wentworth after 45 years and what a magnificent experience! Such a caring and delightful staff, prompt table service and delicious meal cooked efficiently o we could make our show time.
On returning that night, a dessert platter which we could not have earlier awaited us in our room.
Just the best weekend.

The hotel is central, luxurious, the Lounge Clup service is great, the staff is attentive and friendly.

Great central location. Walking distance to most attractions like Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Great food places are just around the corner. Rooms are spacious and clean. Prefer rooms on higher floor overlooking botanical gardens. Service is commensurate with it's 5 star rating. Recommended if you are staying in Sydney.

Luxury hotel with clean , functional rooms and a comfortable bed although the rooms are on the small side. The two double beds in the room were virtually touching. Still a good hotel choice for Sydney and excellent location. No swimming pool.

It has been a few years since we have stayed at the Wentworth having preferred the charm of the Menzies. As the Menzies is no more, it was good to go back to the Wentworth. We elected to use the Sofitel Club and on a busy weekend associated with Vivid, we were very appreciative of what was offered.
We have tried a number of 'Club' rooms overseas, some good and some leaving a lot to be desired but I am happy to say the Wentworth Club was one of the better experiences.
The staff were attentive, the food was generally good and despite it being very busy for Vivid, the Club worked very well.

Hand written welcome message was a nice touch. Good quality for and decent serving sizes

Interactions with several staff members throughout our stay left us thoroughly impressed. They went over and above our expectations. We stayed for our 9 year wedding anniversary and the staff made us feel v spoilt and special. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
