I had a colleague staying here so we decided to have a drink at the bar. The service was really slow though but the drinks were nice. There was hardly anyone there but it took a good 15 minutes to get our drink.

Great staff - but the size of rooms (they are tiny) is nearly unacceptable. Just not up to Sofitel s standard. The Sofitel Viaduct in Auckland is unbelievably elegant with spacious rooms and service to match!

Our stay at the Wentworth Hotel in sydney was excellent. After arriving into sydney on a early international flight we were able to get a early check in which was great. The overall service at the hotel was exceptional and the staff very efficient. And of course the Sofitel Club was fantastic as usual.

The most wonderful place we have ever stayed. We had a incident with a appliance in our room. We contacted staff immediately within 5 minutes the manager was at our door. She was very apologetic and sincere. She asked if we wanted to move to another room and we did, not knowing we would be moved to the presidential suit. Our minds where blown as we walked through the double door. All staff from reception, housekeeping, porters to managers where so kind and helpful. we did not expect this kind of treatment at all and couldn't have been happier. Thank you all at Sofitel Sydney, Wentworth.

We are currently staying at the hotel and have been here for two nights. While the service is good and the staff are friendly and responsive, it is just the little things that don t live to the standard of other five star hotels I have stayed at before. A ledge in the shower is unusable as it needs tightening which is an easy two minute fix with an allen key. We queried the staff and nothing has been done in over 24 hours. Also the electronics aren t up to standard, the tv stations are all fuzzy something that should be checked before arrival in a five star hotel. There is an $8 delivery fee for something to be taken to your room after you already pay exorbitant hotel prices for a bottle of wine and some cheeses. As mentioned earlier it is a nice hotel in a great location with good but not amazing service from the staff. It just doesn t quiet live up to the attentiveness and quality of service in which I have experienced in many other five star hotels. The attention to detail that is deserved of a five star hotel is missing from Sofitel Wentworth.

One night stay on a travel layover before a big flight back to the States. Staff was great and made us feel welcome. Our standard, city view King room was small and a bit dates, but clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I had a very nice time staying! Bed was super comfortable. Meals were overpriced and too big portion sizes. Internet did not work despite being told it would with my room number and password and Accor membership so I ended up spending 80 AUD on phone data bills.

This is one of my most favourite hotels. I find the level of service is extremely high. The hotel is well presented and clean and my rooms have been big, with really comfortable beds. The one thing that bothers me is that I can hear people in the surrounding rooms which made it a little hard to fall asleep on my most recent visit.

We hadn't stayed at the Wentworth for a very long time - since before Accor taking over from Rydges and re-branding the hotel as the Sofitel.

We found the hotel rooms spacious and comfortable (oh my goodness how great are the Sofitel's beds?) and the building full of character, but what really made our stay was Ellen at reception upon check-in. Ellen was professional, friendly and courteous. Just the right mix of all three.

The "Goldachino" at Soiree was something different - a cappuccino dusted with gold chocolate.

I stayed at the Sofitel Sydney in late May and a business trip coincided with my birthday. A a Platinum Accor member you always get treated well but they really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Hahn (spelt wrong) from the Club was lovely and called me the day before and knew us when we walked in to check in! We were upgraded to a Suite and had a bottle of champagne and fruits waiting for us. Lovely service through out. Only qualm was the AC was not good at heating up and my wife was cold and the TV's had poor reception and could do with an update including the bathroom were it was tired and the water pressure was low. Also the room service food - my wife pasta was terrible all stuck together so had to be sent back. The Manager dealt with that very well. As for the staff - faultless.

We did have to wait a little longer than normal for our check-in, but everything else went really smoothly and was amazing. The staff on the front desk were helpful, friendly and lovely. It was out 10th wedding anniversary and we were surprised with a welcoming note and champagne and strawberries in our room. Just lovely. We were very happy with the upgrade we got with the Sofitel Club too. Very nice breakfast and canapes and drinks in the evening.

We loved our stay and will recommend to all our friends and family. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

I went to a conference here and was impressed by the attentiveness of staff, elegant and professional layout of the conference room and healthy dinning options. Tea and coffee facilities we're decent. Amenities were clean. Located a short walk from Wynyard also made it convenient to get to. On-site parking was also available at a cost of around $50 per day.

Stayed at Sofitel Wentworth for a week in July. The service was excellent. All parts of the service - room, housekeeping, breakfast at The Garden Court Restaurant, at Soiree , at the desk - were impeccable. The only critique I would make is that the bathroom was small and didn't provide enough places to put things on or hang things from - like toiletries. Other than that...no complaints. In particular I would like to mention Arisa and Thayna for their amazing service at breakfast at Garden Court. All staff at the restaurant were excellent. Arisa was like a pocket rocket with her efficiency and yet smiley friendliness. Thayna's memory for what we ordered for beverages was amazing. An excellent stay all round. Thank you.

I have been to the Sofitel for multiple events. The decor looks a little bit dated but it is still a fantastic event space. Everything is clean and in good condition. Even though the decor it is an older style it still seems elegant. The staff here are all friendly, well presented and professional.

Lovely staff but room underwhelming. We expected more from the Sofitel. Room was lacklustre. Nothing particularly luxurious about it. Remote not working properly, toiletries shelf in bath was not straight so everything fell off it, poor lighting in bathroom (hard to do your makeup). Bed was horrible to sleep on. Instant coffee is pretty cheap and more what I'd expect from a Best Western. A Sofitel should provide a mini plunger and coffee grounds or coffee bags at a minimum. No complimentary biscuits. Bed head loose and rattled whenever you moved in bed (must have been noisy for the neighbours)

Very welcoming front of house and other staff made my stay very comfortable from the minute I arrived. Location is ideal in terms of business meetings and its proximity to great restaurants.

Called the front desk 3 times to get my TV working in room 1659. First time nobody at the desk answered (was midnight). Second time next morning somebody came and fixed it but when I turned it on couldn't get it to work. Third time somebody came and fixed it and this time left it on. When I returned to my room it worked but as soon as I turned the TV off same problem occurred again. I then gave up. Essentially had no TV for the 3 days of my stay.

Upon check in I requested the telegraph for my daily paper. I received the financial review no telegraph.

Poor customer service from the moment we walked in the door. Different staff told us different information & caused my very jet-lagged party to waste several hours of our vacation trying to straighten out our room arrangements. Staff was polite, but kept offering to fix the problems if we paid more money.

After reading a bit of negative feedback I was apprehensive about our stay, but as soon as I was greeted at the front door that all changed. Staff were polite and attentive to our every request. It was definitely lovely to be greeted with "bonjour" everytime you walked past a staff member.

The price was reasonable considering what was included, we stayed in a prestigious suite. It was clean and modern, we both enjoyed in very much.

Thank you to the staff at SOFITEL you really made two country bumpkins feel right at home.

We love the Wentworth. This time we came with our 8 year old Grand-daughter. It was her first trip to Sydney and the Hotel staff were very kind and attentive to her, particularly, Lillian, the Customer Relations Director who made her stay very exciting by helping her practice her French. The waiter in the Soiree Lounge on the evening of 12 July (didn't get his name) made her meal very special and provided colouring books. Thank you very much for having our room ready when we arrived. As usual it was lovely.
