Always made to feel welcome here. Very comfortable...
Always made to feel welcome here. Very comfortable and great facilities.
Always made to feel welcome here. Very comfortable and great facilities.
Reasonably priced, good breakfast super helpful concierge. Would stay again.
Attended for a farewell event hosted at the restaurant - the food was good, the service was efficient and unintrusive, and otherwise I was very happy with it.
Was fine as there were no issues. i just simply do not have the time to explore your hotel a little more. Location wise, it is perfect for business!
Service was commendable. Room was quiet with comfortable bedding and pillows.
Most disappointing was the shower. The amount of water and water pressure was terrible. It was nearly impossible to wash and certainly not possible to wash my hair. My friend and I had planned a special girly night to spoil ourselves in the city, so this was just disappointing. Certainly not my previous experiences at Sofitel, and I felt like I had wasted my points that had paid for part of the booking.
Upon departure, we told the hotel about the shower, the problem appears to have been related to the shower head and was resolved for future guests. I was also reimbursed with the Accor points spent.
The restaurant is a quiet place good for a coffee and a long work meeting.
Very well located in the heart of Sydney, close to Wynyard train station and famous Circular Quay and Opera House. I've only been to social events which are well catered and organised. The event rooms are what you would expect of a top tier hotel Chain.
I think it deserves four and a half stars. No complaints
I stayed at your hotel it was nice now leave stop sending me bloody reminders to take your survey
Friendly staff who are extremely helpful. Excellent concierge service. Poor views from some rooms and convenience to darling harbour and chinatown is a downside. Definitely value for money especially if you want to visit Sydney opera house and the Rocks. WIll recommend to others.
My family and I just spent a night at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth last weekend for my daughter's birthday and to enjoy Vivid. We were so impressed with all aspects of the hotel: the genuine staff interest in making our stay excellent, the ambiance - classy but relaxed, the room was superb and our membership with the Accor group allowed access to all that Club Sofitel had to offer (which again was superb!). It is obvious that customer satisfaction is extremely high on the agenda. We were impressed well beyond our expectations.
We could not fault , in any way, the attentiveness and friendliness of all staff, who would all go the extra mile to make sure you were completely satisfied and looked after. The room was very well presented, both clean and very comfortable.
We would definitely stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel to others.
Historic Sydney hotel presently locked down by Covid-19 isolation for overseas arrivals.
Close to public transport. Friendly and helpful Concierge. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Large spacious rooms, beautiful hot showers. Food was very nice and they had anything
Although only an overnight stay we very much enjoyed staying at the hotel. From a very welcoming and professional reception to checkout the service in the hotel was outstanding. Our room was quite a good size and was very well presented.
Attended for a conference. Great venue and great staff
Pretty nice in the lobby but lifts and rooms can feel a bit dated. Short walk to Circular Quay and about 10-15 minutes to the Rocks. Attached carpark is an eye-watering $60/night.
Nice hotel .. rooms a little small for the standard.
Really nice hotel but don't book a room near the elevators if your not used to noise at night. Good location and good parking.
Hotel is not too bad. My room is a bit dated but overall ok
I stayed there for 2 nights, unfortunately. And, I still regret why I had that nightmarish experience of destroying my very first two days in Sydney.
1- The room basically had NO view in a city which is the Cultural Capital of Australia where you can see a monument or landmark literally in every street.
2- When I entered the room, it had NOT yet been remade since the last occupant had left. The room was such a mess and in their defense, they apologized and gave me a different room at about midnight. STILL this was an indictment of the managerial procedures in the hotel.
3- I arrived at about 10pm and I was received rather like an intruder. (I'm a western looking man in usually smart attire.) 4- The room the gave me did NOT have a tub and just had a small shower like those in barracks or dorms. This last one was a once-in-a-life-time deal breaker.
Stay away from it and spend the same money on a real 5-star hotel with view and management.
It was a good hotel, disappointing that our room was not ready when we checked in around 2.30pm and was only offered one free drink voucher to pass the time, even though there was two of us!
First visit here. Rooms much like any other hotel. But the ambience in foyer and conference rooms are really special. Mammoth chandeliers everywhere.
Very nice room and great service. The buffet breakfast is pretty good too, lots of variety.
Started with a friendly smile by the concierge. Helpful receptionist (Extended my checkout time as I requested without any questions). Clean room, Awesome room service. Delightful breakfast.
What else??
It was very pleasant and the staff were super helpful and friendly
Very clean, professional and friendly overall. Well run event for 500+ corporate event. Definitely will be back for professional events.
Enjoyed staying at Sofit el Sydney. Staff were very friendly.
Great room, enjoyable and comfortable stay for work
As always the room and staff were great but the dinning experience, main meals specifically, let the team down. I will of course be back as the hotel is my preferred when in Sydney but I think I will give the dinning a miss. Our waiter, Angus, tried his best to assist with the issues but the cook staff let him down.
My wife had the Cannelloni but it was crispy nothing like one would imagine would be served, we were told that the chef possibly baked it, thank god we are not Italian.
I had the steak which was reasonable but I would have thought that maybe better cuts would be served in a five star establishment
I always have a good experience staying at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. From arrival to departure every interaction with staff is pleasing, the hotel is comfortable and welcoming, and the location suits my favourite Sydney haunts.
This visit I brought along my partner for the first time and we left with him saying it was the most enjoyable hotel stay he's ever had.
For all the glitz and the glamour of the hotel, it always feels like coming home. There is obviously an excellent culture within this establishment. Congratulations to all staff.
Really loved my experience here. Was staying here for business and was upgraded to a suite on check in.
Clean comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
Loved the room upgrade and free drinks at the bar. Great girls night!!!
Arrived to be greeted with a glass of champagne and chocolates. Upgraded to a prestige suite. We paid the $120 fpr the club sofitel was very well worth it. Clean, luxury was our forth stay and will be back.
Full marks to the staff at the Wentworth Sofitel. We were looking for the exhibition on Paris - but we missed it by a day. The staff here were so friendly though we ended up having a coffee. This place is so very French - we tried the pate More
Always to the standard and service levels I've come to love.
Overly priced restaurant Soiree with mediocre service and even the ambience is quite ok. Better to dine out at the cafes lined up across the street
it wasn't as comfortable as i would expect from a sofitel chain of hotels.. 1) Amenities at room were not good enough a) didn't have tooth paste kit by default, b) no iron table by default, 2) No one from reception helping out with the luggage to room 3) room service for dinner charged extra money.. (never seen that in any hotel)
My company organised a seminar in Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel. 5 days of training, morning teas, speeches, afternoon teas, workshop, dinners, meetings: busy days! Fortunately we stayed at the hotel: we could rely on their wonderful service that made us feel special. Indeed, their supportive staff has been more than helpful whatever we asked!
The internet worked very well (and quite fast, I was surprised as were 30 in the same room using it).
The place is very elegant, and the location in the city, between Circular Quay and the CBD is perfect.
The bedrooms are very comfortable and quiet, with a good space to relax after a busy day, whether you are in a business trip or visiting Sydney.
We have been very lucky with the food as well: never the same menu, and working for a French Company I can tell you that their standards are very high but everybody was happy with the restaurant and the snacks.
I would not give 5 stars just because the parking was a nightmare for some colleagues, apparently it was a very busy period and not enough spaces were allocated to us despite the fact that we booked 3 months before.
A great dining experience. Also the hotel holds a prominent position in the past..with lot of history..
Very nice service, fantastic rooms, elevators and that. TVs need a fix. They are using samsung smart tvs which always have good quality, but the reprogramming have given the tv channels and mivies very very low quality screens with strips moving disgonally across screen left to right
Needs a fix
Service was second to none, the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite, professional and could not do enough to assist us, at all times of the day/night (we left at 5am on Monday morning and the staff were just as professional at that time too!)
Room was lovely, although we chose to upgrade, and given the size of the upgrade room, we did wonder how small the original room was as the new room wasn't the largest. However it was very clean and comfortable with a gorgeous bathroom.
I am a big gym user and attempted to go for a run on Sunday morning at 8am, the gym did not open until 9am, I was a bit disappointed as we had plans at the later time. Most hotels I have stayed at have 24hr gym facilities.
I am also a big day spa advocate, there isn't one at the Sofitel. I would normally spend a few hundred on treatments across a weekend. It certainly didn't spoil my weekend at all, but I was a little disappointed.
Overall a positive and luxurious experience.
Had a wonderful time. The room we used for the dinner was nice and the amenities were clean. A fun venue to host an event and easily accessible can definitely recommend
Place and service amazing nice calm feel but food not good quatily to salty and a bit pricey not worth the price.nice experience as with good company my husband.
What a beautiful location to have the Australian and New Zealand Mary Kay Seminar for 2017 . The staff were absolutely amazing . Had a wonderful time .
The hot breakfast wasn't much good, as they never are. Otherwise only really saw my room and the lobby but they were nice enough.
Styled nicely and if you stay in the high end rooms the high tea cakes and really delicious!
Lovely central hotel. Staff are very courteous and friendly. Rooms are of a very high standard.
It was an excellent location for us, before we went on a cruise from Circular Quay. The room was very good, the bathroom was very good, well maintained. The Club Sofitel was very good and was thoroughly worthwhile.
Attended event. Staff were very helpful and the food was great!
One of the best hotels I've ever been to!!! Spacious and luxurious rooms, the best breakfast and great location. Towards the side of Sydney CBD, less than a 5 minute walk from Martin Place, Circular Quay and Wynyard Station. You can also go out for exercise and relax at the Royal Botanic Gardens, which is a block away. Staff were really amazing there, very hospitable, respectful and welcoming to all guest. Can't wait to go back there again!!!
Great hotel! Lovely, clean, modern, comfy rooms. Nice service and food was good too. Very close to everything. Couldn't fault it.
A little bit dated, service was nice but paid a lot
First rate service. A calm, efficient hotel with comfortable, clean rooms, beautiful tea selection, in-room Nespresso coffee makers, plush robes, and well-appointed outlets, and switches. The vibe is definitely a cultured vibe compared to Sofitel Darling Harbor, which has a slightly more modern vibe. Breakfast buffet is tops with full eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, oatmeal with fixings, Parisian bread selections, fruits (dried and fresh), nuts, meats, cheeses, etc. And the coffee is amazing. Can't go wrong. Hard to leave.
Building a bit old but they still make it like 5 star hotel, well done!
Went to a Sales Conference here and staff were fantastic. Beautiful decor and food was above average
Flynn bar is solid, good food, drink and Happy hour.
Stayed 2 nights, great service and the food was AMAZING! I will be staying there again when i go back to Sydney
I have made many trips to Sydney, and have stayed in a number of premium hotels.
Sofitel Sydney has by far been the best I have used, (and actually cheaper than most of the others). Very professional, warm, and welcoming. All staff were very friendly and helpful, with a special thanks to the concierge, "Nick", who went out of his way to answer all my questions, and arrange a number of things for me.
I will definitely be staying there again on my next stay in Sydney.
