I was with my sister and it was her first time in Sydney so I wanted to show her the best time. We flew all the way from London so we were exhausted after a long flight.
When we approached the front desk, a woman called Louise served us. Louise asked for my card details and mentioned that she will hold $225 which was $75 per night. We were staying for 3 nights. I thought this was odd because usually, when I stay at hotels they never take the money from my account. They usually just take the credit card details. Louise mentioned that this was for any incidents.
I do not see this in the policy. I found that Louise was discriminating me and my sister because we look young and thought we would create incidents. I never have received this treatment from any Sofitel hotel. This will be my last time staying at this hotel.

No issue at all with the accomodation felt safe, cosy and comfortable and your check in staff are very accommodating.

However I am disappointed that my prescription sunglasses went missing in my room. On my first night I took these out of my bag to make more room as I went shopping that evening. Now they mysteriously are gone so my trust factor with you hotel brand is now affected.

Never go. It is not the inn. The pillow smells rotten and the bathtub is a level that can not sleep in the noise of strange crumbs elevators. I asked you to change the room and I need more money. From the beginning, should not you be asking, "Do you want to make a reservation even if the room you are booking has a lot of elevator noises?" Facilities are funny compared to price. One point for such a hotel is a waste. Not recommended

This was our fourth stay at this hotel - we choose it for the presentation of the rooms, the lobby and all their wonderful staff as well as the location. Ideally located a short walk from either Pitt Street Mall or Circular Quay. There are great bars and restaurants close by. Best of all they have one of the best nail and beauty salons in Sydney right next door. Highly recommend this to any one looking to stay in Sydney.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending one night of our 2 night weekend away in Sydney, at the Sofitel Wentworth to celebrate our anniversary. Our first night was spent at Sofitel Darling Harbour and was truly wonderful but everything about our stay here at Sofitel Wentworth was also amazing. From check in to check out, staff were at all times very welcoming, courteous and friendly. The room, services and ammenities were of high quality and extremely clean. I cannot express enough the excellent service provided by all staff in every area. We were also provided with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, fruit, and chocolate and sweets platter for our anniversary. I would also like to thank Mr John Cuce, Food and Beveridge Assistant Manager, Sofitel Melbourne, for kindly assisting us with the organising and booking of our stay here. We truly value his assistance. We will definately recommend Sofitel Wentworth to all our friends and look forward to staying here again.

Very disappointed with our stay. It was busy because of VIVID and couldn t cope! We had a dinner reservation at 7:30pm. We left at 8:15 without even been seated - even though 3 other groups had arrived after us and had been seated and served!

The staff that you see in and around the hotel are fantastic! How ever the staff on their reservations desk are a nightmare.

I did struggle with the TV and I found the bed with its ridiculous pillow top thingie very unsupportive.

All up though, a good hotel to spend a week. Great location for shopping, restaurants and transport.

The hotel was nice but the rooms were a bit small and the facilities a bit old within the room (like the ones in the bathroom). Breakfast was super nice, even though it was a bit pricy. The location is by far the best thing of the hotel.

Special weekend for our 40th wedding anniversary.
The staff were wonderful and attentive. Our suite was very nice with plenty of space. Champagne, chocolates and all the other little treats were much appreciated and enjoyed. Suite was very clean. These are the sorts of things that has me returning to Sofitel each time.

We checked into this hotel on one of our many Sydney visits for a one night. located on Phillip street, location in is very close to opera house and harbour bridge. on Saturdays rocks market is open and not too far from here too.
upon our arrival we ask for a good view from the room. we were told by the girl in the check in counter that the view is the best and it is the court yard view. Sydney is one of the best looking cities in the world and you don't want to keep looking at the badly designed, horrible dark courtyard during your stay. but the room only has a tiny window and it was blocked by a couch so you wont see the horrible courtyard.
room is spacious and very clean. it has bar, wardrobe, safe, and a small TV. bed was very comfortable.
we order room service. food was delivered by a very polite and professional staff and food was so delicious.
bath room was bit old fashion but very clean well maintained. decorations through out is excellent and pleasing. we were very happy to be here.

Sometimes, you just want a hotel to be a hotel. The Sofitel works; the staff are lovely and helpful, the rooms are clean, the gym is great. The location is almost unparalleled. But, above all, the breakfast service was brilliant. We easily brought extra family to join us and there was no problems with them eating with us. Looking forward to going back!

I regularly stay at Sofitel Wentworth. I frequently find that when checking in, there is no staff at the priority checkin counter and one checkin position staffed and a queue there. Priority checkin does not exist and checkin staffing is inadequate.

Tomorrow I will the comfortable room #601 where I spend 14 days for quarantine. Quality amenities, wide space and excellent service make the challenge circumstance become easy and relaxed. Responsible Staff try their best to provide delicate service, from food arrangement to bedding and towels replacement, from the Sofitel Daily Challenge to exercise suggestions.

What I highly speak is the personalized offering. When I raise a high fiber diet request, extra serves of vegetable and fruit are presented in every meal. Additionally, a lovely lady follows up my preference of meat and satisfy all my expectation. I find out those delicious food adds a special ingredient --- Attention, Care and Thoughtfulness. Deep appreciation to those who make the contribution.

A pleasant stay. An unforgettable experience.

Location is fine and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are just too damned old for this price point though. I heard my neighbour undertake some personal relaxation activities in the evening, and was woken by their alarm at 5am. The walls must be cardboard! Won't return.

Arriving at the hotel the staff greeted us in French, promoting it's French style. Concierge staff were polite with champagne and iced tea on offer for guests. The staff take every opportunity to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Would love to stay again.

I stayed couple nights there to celebrate my mums birthday. The hotel is old but its kind of historical place so its amazing to be able to stay there. Good locations. Good food and excellent service especially from one of the food and beverage staff on breakfast, Medina. Shes really helpful and caring to guest, most importantly I came from overseas and she gave me brief explanation about things that i can visit around. Overall all the staffs are friendly and they work well in a busy sutuation. Really good and happy to stay there again. Thank you!

Great location, nice rooms. The downside were they were unable to charge right amount with room price, parking, breakfast and food. We went there with three young kids. They provide me wrong amount of room price in confirmation email and try to charge more after my stay. Also The reception gave me one breakfast rate at our arrival , but the restaurant have different rate. When I told the rate I have got, they argued with me....the manager wasn t nice to us. maybe I wasn t in luxury branded clothes. In room dinning, they provide wrong food , forgot put dressing in salad. Be careful with your credit card charge. I m very glade I checked my account, otherwise I will be over charged for almost $200 . Not family friendly. Not recommended.

We were very disappointed when we tried to book the restaraunt as we were told at check in it would be okay and to ring later. When we did we were told that the early session was fully booked for some theatre group. The best we could do was the 8.00.
We went to the Sheraton on the Park instead.
Either inform us at check in or make room for guests staying at the hotel.

I visited french restaurant in this sofitel wenthworth hotel. Great service, especially I remembered an aged gentle waiter at garden restaurant. I and my husband ordered steak and other dish that I can't remember. But taste was very great and normally a lot of australians enjoy there.

There were multiple moths in the room, and when I told Room Service about it they didn't even care enough as to pick up the dead ones from the floor and the rest of the room. I've killed at least 5 of them and there were still 1-2 flying around when I checked out... not the best experience from a "5 star" hotel.

On the other side, their breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever seen.
