What a great property in the heart of Brisbane! With access directly from the Central station, it couldn t have been easier to get to from the airport.

The rooms were nicely appointed (average size), and the amenities were nice. The gym had great views but was a little small in size. The breakfast is wonderful and expansive but expensive. The concierge was really nice and the location and proximity to everything was great.

My preferred hotel in Brisbane.

My preferred hotel in Brisbane.
The Sofitel has large rooms, a good gym, great location and very friendly staff. I have stayed at a few others in Brisbane but the Sofitel is value for money and great 5 star experience.

Always a great stay.

Always a great stay.
Fantastic food, good service and lovely people.
Worth an upgrade if you can.
Walking distance to CBD.
Good for conferences too.

A good location near the airport the receptionist was friendly. We find France and luxury. Breakfast at will so nice. The food was satisfactory. The room was clean. The atmosphere is up to the reputation of Sofitel.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel, the staff were amazing and the customer service was impossible to fault. Our room was modern yet luxurious with a super-plush bed and lovely furnishings. The AC was a bit old, but that was a minor kink in an otherwise great stay. The in-room breakfast was tasty and the serving size generous, we even received complimentary detox juices. Great location, we stepped out right into Brisbane's CBD and explored. Thanks for a great evening!

I recently stayed at Novotel Brisbane and felt that it should be downgraded to Mercure. I feel the same for Sofitel Brisbane as its teetering on the edge of Novotel quality. (Compared to Sofitels in other cities around the world). I didn't like that the restaurant at the hotel is a buffet option. I felt like I was staying at a cheap Las Vegas hotel. After a day of airports and office meetings, I'm looking for a nice quiet a la carte dining experience. Not a busy, bustling buffet that requires me to line up for my three courses. Plus, I'm not much of a big eater at dinner. So $69 ($99 on weekends) is a bit too much. The room is ok, Nespresso machine and a large comfortable bed. Fittings and fixtures is showing the age of the hotel. I still cannot believe I have to climb into a bathtub for me to shower at a Sofitel. At first I thought I was in a Best western in regional Australia.

A Sofitel should have a separate shower.

I did the love the bar, service was great from both bar staff and front desk. $47 parking is way too much too. But that is starting to become the norm in most capital city hotels. At the right price this hotel is definitely worth staying in. Overall a good experience.

Stayed here with my wife for two nights while attending a work conference. The rooms are well appointed, quiet and roomy. The staff have been pleasant. Highly recommended as an upmarket, classy hotel. Thanks Sofitel you did not disappoint.

A beautifully appointed hotel with a good range of functions rooms. A delightful cosy cafe / bar with a wide range of drinks. The only down point is the soy milk chosen is too oily, especially for the price, Bonsoy would be much better for coffees.

I live in a suite, the room facilities are very good and the space is great. The bathroom feels normal, and the smell of the sewer will feel bad when you take a shower. The scenery is average. It is highly recommended not to go to the buffet. It is the most unpalatable food I have ever eaten. The breakfast is slightly better but it is also very poor.

Room not reset properly, checked into hotel room and most of the lights are off so the room is dark. The view is nice enough, however compare the price and amenities to the Westin, the Stamford, or the Fantouzza and you may find the Sofitel lacking. Appears to be resting on brand name and location. Inconvenience yourself and you might get a better hotel room

The function room that we used was a decent size and easily accommodated the 150 guests. The technology used for the presentation worked flawlessly . Drinks and canapes served by the hotel after the function we served by very friendly and professional staff. The hotel and function rooms were very clean.

I've stayed at the resplendent and cost Sofitel in Buenos Aires as well. But the Brisbane Sofitel is larger and expansive by comparison. It is no less opulent though.
The foyer has changing decorative pieces. I stayed at the Sofitel just after France won the 2K18 Football World Cup. There was a 12 foot Tour de Eiffel resplendent in blue, white and red to celebrate the French teams achievement.
Rooms are moderate size and well equipped. The Gym is open from 5am to 9pm. I asked to access the gym after hours it was denied as there are rooms below.
The location is about 5 minutes walk from the Brisbane CBD. And 17 mins from Southbank.
I love this hotel. No surprises there being a Sofitel. Its proper quality.

Exceptional service. The rooms are immaculate and the staff do everything within their power to make your stay perfect in every way. We have stayed here 7 times and will be booking again for many years to come. You will not regret staying here.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Rooms were well presented and the beds are comfy AF. The elevators have glass sides given you a great view of the city as you go up. The hotel is situated well close to restaurants and shops. My one criticism is at breakfast the bake beans have some mad recipe going on.

Nice hotel in the city centre. Hotel amenities are decent.
Gym can be way better. I think it was there to tick the 5 star rating but not to be called an actual 5 star hotel. Disappointing equipments, one part of the gym is over bright and the other one with weights totally in darkness, plus they have restrictions on timings.
Internet is very slow, I think most people stillbhave to pay for it

Have stayed 100+ nights. Although quite old in style, still one of the best hotels in Brisabane. Located on top of a major train station so its easy to get around. Breakfast has a huge selection including many more healthy/nutritious options rather than just the usual continental or full English.

Really good sized room and bathroom. Disappointing bath/shower arrangement. No anti-slip in the bath. Good size fridge and tv. Comfortable king-sized bed. The room was quite dusty but housekeeping cleaned that up. Really enjoyed Price 249 Restaurant. Breakfast buffet was very good. Unfortunately they use Teflon Pans to cook omelettes. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. I liked this hotel it is very central and is immediately above the train station.
