We enjoyed a work function here. Staff were very attentive and made sure no one wanted fir anything

The bathroom stunk not sure from what but it was very unpleasant. For staying on the club floors I was very disappointed that this was an issue and not something I would expect from Sofitel hotels.

OMG! Love this place. Just outside the hustle and bustle of central Brisbane but when you walk inside you are made to feel so welcome. My favourite breakfast restaurant and the rooms were amazeballs! Just a special place

Food is very good. The wait staff are great. I could not fault this lunch and would recommend it to anyone

Visited the Sofitel for a work conference. There was a catered lunch and the food was excellent. The function room was great and well attended.

Everything from staff to rooms and food was amazing. Favourite hotel by far.

Sofitel is a stunning hotel, located right in the heart of the CBD. The room that I stayed in was beautiful. Elegant, modern with chicness and plenty of style. The service at the hotel was impeccable. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Standard hotel, but in addition to typical top floor gym also has 'elite gym' to tempt visiting sports teams. Got it to myself and it was excellent

Location is right in the CBD and staff are helpful. Otherwise it really does not feel like a Sofitel. Rooms are old and could use renovation. Hallways are dark. Our hallway had a sewer smell the entire time and we could see a little area with towels that they kept working on. I guess probably that was an isolated incident. The gym had old rusty equipment but a nice view. We could see the pool/hot tub area from our window. That looked nice but we didn t get a chance to use. Surprised that internet was $30/day, though they did take that off our bill at the end by having us join their club.

We regularly go to the buffet. The food is always of the highest quality although I have a suspicion they are trying to improve profits as the oysters get smaller and smoked salmon has been removed from the table. The staff are faultless as you may expect.

Provided a lot more than I was expecting and incredibly helpful for any request. Really wanted to make the experience exactly as we needed it.

Classic five star hotel with restaurants, function rooms and bars. Met Milos Raonic tennis player from Canada when delivered a new Yorker Domino's pizza to him at the Sofitel when he was playing at The Brisbane International

The Sofitel Brisbane directly above the hotel is very central and offers a beautiful view. Due to the location, you can get to all corners of the city relatively quickly and there are numerous shops, restaurants and sights around the hotel.
The former Sheraton Hotel looks very neat and beautiful, especially in the lobby and restaurant. Unfortunately, the very clean rooms are very dated and relatively dark. The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom was very small and very old with the yellow marble. Due to the choice of room we would have had access to the lounge on the top floor, which was closed due to a company event, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, the breakfast was brilliant: numerous baked goods, lots of fresh fruit, egg station and various foreign dishes in a great quality. In particular the smoothie / juice bar, where you could squeeze your own juice, was sensational. I would book the hotel again because of the location and the breakfast, but not because of the dated rooms.

The room itself is quite spacious and clean. Well situated and nice view of the city. Very comfy bed and attentive staff. However, I think their bathroom need a maintenance. Water will leak everywhere after a shower. The breakfast is amazing though. I also suggest that the speaker om the table should have an upgrade for its wrong time and iphone 4 plugin.

Centrally located, easy access to all downtown activities.

The Sofitel is a beautifully maintained hotel conveniently located in the Brisbane CBD, literally on top of central train station. It had fantastic views of the city as it is on the fringe, poised up high, making the most of the view with windows all along the southern side. The service is high quality as you would expect from a Sofitel. I have been there only for functions and my experiences have always been
positive.

The buffet is more than my money, I found it myself.

I only went for the banquet dinner, it was worth the coin. Friends were staying there & enjoyed it.

Service was professional and quick. I was there for dining with friends and family. The food (buffet) was plenty and there is numerous choices. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is family friendly.

I am a big fan of the bar downstairs in the foyer. It is a very chilled place to relax over a cocktail or a beer and enjoy the view on the comfy chairs looking out towards the city. I've always found the staff to be very courteous and professional and helpful.

The drinks and snacks were very good. Service was also very good.

Wow, where to begin! Understaffed & under-prepared for a large NYE Gala; unnecessarily complicated token process for overpriced drinks and hour long queues at start; air con seemed to be off in the ballroom; staff & managers clueless about inclusions of the function package & availability of champagne; food average although desert was good; water not readily available for patrons; many more issues; nowhere near enough seating for the ticketed guests, nor enough dance floor space despite the adequately large ballroom ... You'd think Sofitel should know how to host a high-class gala but this was flat out unacceptable chaos and won't return to Sofitel as a result.

Had an absolutely amazing breakfast there! All fresh food and absolutely stuffed afterwards. Would recommend highly.

Food was good, service was very subpar. Waited nearly two hours for our main, were serviced by four different wait staff, table was unattended for the most part, was given the wrong meals.

The buffet lunch was wonderful. Deserts were something else!

Exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel in a capital city. Lovely staff and the food is first class, but you pay for the privilege quite handsomely.

Limited experience of coffee shop only. Flat White coffee was short on volume when froth removed. Sugar was rock hard in sachets. Generally not the standard expected at Sofitel.

Rooms well appointed, quiet & peaceful and dark if need be for sleeping. Buffet breakfast a must.

Beautiful buffet lunch provided with an amazing spread and variety of food on offer. The venue is modern and has a fantastic view of city from dining windows. Big bonus it's not far to walk to public transport with Central Station downstairs. Perfect Sunday lunch.

It's a 5 star stay for a reason. Wonderful, comfy rooms. Gorgeous food for both dinner and breakfast.

Not really sofitel standard. As a long term member I was not that impressed. It's worth looking elsewhere for the price on the Gold Coast.

Great experience, Rooms beautiful, Staff very friendly and helpful. I mentioned to one of the staff we are on holidays and it's my wife's birthday and after an hour of being out we came back to our room where we found a pleasant surprise, refer to the picture.

I went for a business trip, the superior double room has a great bed but disappointingly no Amenities Kit (toothbrush,etc) , and No Wifi in the room.

We celebrated Christmas dinner in the evening. Couldn't fault the service by the table staff, nor the table settings. But the food, though tasty, was not as plentiful nor diverse as I would have liked. But the idea of having other people prepare and serve our table on Christmas Day certainly appeals. Thank You. Love the wine theme. Love all the different taste of the mains and dessert. As always love the oysters and fresh prawns. Charles is the best! Very attentive even though he was so busy attending to others. He always makes sure we are okey. Thanks Charles for taking good care of us. We had a great time. And also thank you to Merryl (I hope I spelt your name right) for taking her time explaining to us the new themes at thyme. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks again.

Very convenient. In the Center of the city. Price is quite expensive than outside but affordable.
