Good quality food, good service and staff are always friendly

One of the worest Sofitel I have stayed in ... how this is the same hotel brand as Melbourne and Sydney Sofitel is beyond me .. wow..

Attended for a conference, venue was good. AV worked as expected which is unusual for these events. Lunch in the restaurant was really good, nice restaurant pleasant service.

Great buffet meal. We didn't eat seafood so the mamger reduced the cover. Great friendly service for a large hotel. Happy to return.

Went to a social function in a ballroom. Well organised, good food and service.

Great high tea experience at the club lounge on level 30 for a special occasion. Will be even better if they provide complimentary parking or even cheaper parking rates ($20 for up to 4 hours at the moment) for diners.

This was the best place for a quiet christmas lunch. We had a lovely meal our servers were attentive and made us feel most welcome. One lady was on her own but the servers made sure she wasnt lonely. We looked out at Brisbane city in the rain with its mixed of historic buildings and modern skyscrapers. We were at the Cuvee` cafe there were about 30 people and we able to talk above the music and were severd a seafood platter for 2 at our table beautiful cooked and presented. Buffet main including turkey, fish and other assorted meats and veg. Assorted cheese and fruit. Plum pudding and petite foir that brought the french theme . Going again next year.

Good selection of well presented good qualty food and very friendly kitchen side staff.

Negatives in my view are the wait staff and process.

Queuing behind 20+ people most of which, like myself, appear to have already booked seemed more like a shopping centre buffet than fine dining, as was the payment process.

Also, staff not knowing what is on the menu for the next day is not in line with my expectations of a fine dining experience. I was advised the cooked food is not known untill the day (seems odd?) however the seafood selection would be the same, and yet, no bugs on the next day which was very disappointing.

I'd go again, however think the experience could be improved with better quality staff / training.

Absolutely amazing service at the interactive dining restaurant, THYME2. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the seafood and other items available. Perfect place for a couple or group to go for a special occasion.

Great dinner buffet, the waiters were very attentive and the food was so good I swear I almost ate myself to death!

Parking is overpriced, rooms are large and nice. King size beds, seperate loungeroom. Only downside was having a regular bath, you would think a 5 star hotel should have a spa bath in every room. Could barely fit too people in the tub together, not great for a romantic weekend away :p

Excellent service, beautiful food, close to public transport

Despite being an Accor Advantage Plus Silver Member, they had the usual annoying reason for not extending any benefits- that I booked through my company and not directly with them. Disappointing. Expected better.

Very classy restaurant. The buffet option for Fri or Sat nights is the best around. Everything on offer from Sea food to Sweets.

From the moment we dropped our bags early to shop until we checked out the following morning, we were treated like royalty. The staff superb, everything was sparkling clean, beds and pillows like sleeping on clouds, buffet breakfast was the best I've had anywhere. When I mentoned upon booking that my daughter was pregnant we were welcomed into our room by the most divine chocolate plate congratulating her. Thankyou Sofitel Brisbane for making our stay memorable.

Hotel room was great, staff were pleasing and food was nice. Parking available for a fee. Would recommend if staying in Brisbane CBD and cost is not a factor.

We came to the buffet and there was no Moretan Bay bugs :( They only have them on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is disappointing especially during Christmas week..

very nice view of the metal bridge. Excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms are a bit small for a hotel of this class. The lounge is nice with a beautiful view of the river.

It was easy to find , we didnt pay for parking but thought that it was over priced. The buffet dinner beautiful the food was good but there was no roast cut up i walked past several times amd the guy looked at me but never asked if i wanted amy thing. The room was great and very clean the beds were good to sleep in. Breakfast was great heaps food fruit loved it.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Dinner in the a la carte restaurant was amazing. We both had the steak with crayfish thermadore. The restaurant is quiet and elegant with city views. Would highly recommend a meal here. The seafood buffet looked amazing too. The rooms are super comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast buffet and parking deal was great. The swimming pool and jacuzzi enjoyable. The staff in all departments were very polite and couldn't do enough to help. We will be going back for a longer stay next time.

Recommend the higher floor Club Sofitel rooms, with Club Sofitel access. The pre-dinner drinks and canapes are wonderful. The Cuvee Lounge is nice to relax in also.

Had a wonderful 45th wedding anniversary, the meal and staff in the restaurant were great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. An extremely high standard and compatable with other Sofitel Hotels across Europe.

Great location, short walk to Queen Street mall and right next to the train station. Very nice rooms.

Location is convenient. Walking distance to queen street mall and other supermarkets. Hotel rooms are spacious, friendly staff. Rooms are slightly out dated though.

We had a 4 course degustation dinner at the Prive, service was intimate. Great ambience and exceptional food. Will definitely return.

Nice luxurious place, excellent for formal events with a moderately large lobby and services. Being right next to the train station it is very easy to access. However being in the city has somewhat restricted it's size and thus can struggle with events with ~500 persons. At this point the airconditioning struggles to keep the temperature comfortable but everything else is of high quality and well-designed.

Here 2 days and after reading in the Virgin Australia flight magazine about the lounge on the 30th floor I upgraded for 50 bucks. Great value and truly spectacular a whole half floor side to side dedicated to the lounge and such fabulous service.

The room although a club room was at the bottom of what I would expect in this price range and given prices in Australia for hotels are ridiculous you might be disappointed, if coming from abroad.

I hate stand in the bath showers, and the bathroom was pokey small, no complimentary water in the room (Brisbane tap water is disgusting), the windows were filthy on the outside detracting from the view.

Can't fault the service. Staff very attentive.

Awesome experience. Coffee upstairs first. Then a make over before an exceptional lunch.

This review is soley in regards to the high tea. It left a lot to be desired. Not a balanced variety of choices. Not the best sweets. Sub-par service. We were only asked if we needed a tea refill once throughout 90 mins of being there. No one bothered to see if we were done and we left without any staff acknowledgment. Expected a lot more for the price and for what the brand is supposed to stand for.

The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet has some good variety. The style inside the rooms is a bit dated but in good condition.

Nice rooms great service in a terrific location. Aboce central station easy to get to from Brisbane Airport.

Good size rooms, comfy bed, nice roof top pool. Pool spa needed an update though.

Nice rooms with space, and great views. What impressed me the most though was the staff - all of whom engaged in seemingly genuinely interested conversation without being either obsequious or disinterested. Some of the best customer service I've come across.

What an amazing stay we had for for my birthday.
The room was amazing, every staff we come in contact with were amazing.

Located in the central city directly above Central Station with a 15min train ride to the airport and 5min walk to Queen St Mall. We always stay here when in the city and have great service.

Large grand rooms. Good clean facilities. Great food and respectful staff

Always good customer service, only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the price, but it is a very good hotel.

My Mother and I attended this luxurious Hotel for the Wednesday Smorgasbord lunch prior to Melbourne cup. Apart from the wonderful convenience of being able to just step off the train then literally straight into this Hotel, the service here is impeccable!
I look forward to returning !

My family and I had breakfast at the Sofitel. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Went to the bar after dinner locally,a friend stayed overnight, the bar tender was great.

The rooms were very nice and clean and the overall feel of the hotel was very cosy

Thyme2 is amazing apart from the orange chocolate desserts.

I have 50% for buffet dinner from dimmi. Totallt worth it, lots of oyster, entree, especially desert. However, hot food is quite limited. I wish they serve some chinese, vietnamese, japanese food instead of too much of western or indian food.

A very nice place for a quiet glass of wine with a friend. There is a bar on the lobby level, with very comfortable seating and views over Anzac Square. This is where I have my catch ups with one or two friends when we get together every month or so. It's perfect if you want a quiet, tasteful environment rather than a noisy, crowded city bar. There is fantastic service, a good wine list, cocktails if you like, and the drinks are delivered to you at your table. You can order small plates of food if hungry, eg antipasta, and it is very good. This place is an inspired choice if you want a nice venue for a quiet talk, away from the hustle and bustle, and it's conveniently located and accessed via the escalators from the front of central station.

Went here for the buffet lunch. Prawns were dry, oysters were tasteless and there is so many people there it makes it a long wait to get the food. Main meals were average. Service was pretty terrible because my children had to wait almost the whole meal before their drinks arrived, after asking wait staff several times. Desserts were pretty good, but overall it was not enjoyable.

the restaurant has the best service provided by staff. The staff go above and beyond in terms of customer service.

Great place to have a good meal, seafood buffet is very good Saturday and Sunday.
