Buffet food was nice and replenished throughout the night. Also nice service - used dishes were usually taken away pretty quickly :)

Hard to beat the quality of this hotel ,the food is as good as any five star hotel in the world

Reasonable price and good location, but inside was somewhat damp and our hallway had a wet, moldy smell. The reasonable price was somewhat tarnished by the absurd wifi price, which was actually more than roaming charges for using a US phone in Australia.

Just the venue to rejuvenate and get spoiled with an upgrade in Brisbane city.

Look I loved my stay, i believe the staff play an important role in making or breaking your stay, and ALL the staff there were fantastic, attentive, friendly, thoughtful and made the occasion even move special.food was great, and the room, we had the corner suite, definitely worth it. Would come again and hopefully the buffet will be back so I can give that a crack.

Last minute walk in booking because my flight was cancelled and I was grounded in Brisbane for another night. The service from front desk check in to out was superb and despite the odd hours and last minute requests, I was always treated well.

We had a very nice lunch with the wine and buffet deal. The place was busy so it may be a good idea to book. The food was good and quite a good variety of seafoods, salads, meats and soups. They also have a large range of desserts to choose from. Service was good and they keep the drinks coming. Probably best if you skip breakfast. Worth a visit.

Event space was well maintained and service staff were very professional.

Staff are courteous, helpful, friendly and professional....nothing is too much trouble. Perfect for business guests and cunducting meetings.

Went for the $35 buffet and was surprised with the variety of foods and desserts. Also had a chocolate fountain. You can't go wrong with a chocolate fountain

Such a nice place. And very convenient place for the city of Brisbane.

Slightly tired & drab decor. Dark & smallish rooms & sealed windows are NOT ! Consequently there s an above normally high din from traffic even on 24th floor.
Comfortable beds & good aircon, though-it wasnt hot while we were here for 4 nights beginning June.
Shower over bath. Bathroom clean.
TV tetchy. Couldnt get subtitles off the screen, Internet VERY slow- first world problems.
Room Service 3/5 cold coffee & muesli so hard to judge. Pricey.
Friendly& helpful staff. Superb location above Central station, so east from airport.
A nice walk through small park. Close enough to walk 10-15 mins to town.
5 Stars .... mmmm not so sure.
We were meant to stay back here the following weekend but have decided to try another hotel. Checked into Meriton for 2 weeks with a break in between. Mores the pity.
Good value here for a nights sleep on special - but not convinced Ill be back.
Hope Sofitel s Ho Chi Minh City offering is good as already booked & paid for August...

Attended a high tea there this afternoon and was not impressed about the service. The young girl that was serving for the whole area was very nice and polite, however due to the lack of staff our table never got cleared of the 2, 3 tier cake stands, which made it difficult to speak/see the person on the over side of the table. While the food was nice, it wasn't worth the amount of money paid. When having a high tea at a 'luxury' hotel I would expect to have service, food and tea/coffee at a higher standard than what was experienced this afternoon.

Went to Sofitel for a function, the place is really elegant and we'll designed. The function room was huge and was the perfect place for the event. Although, some of the organisation could have been improved for the cost of the venue. Overall, a really nice hotel right above Central station in the middle of Brisbane.

I am so glad I decided to call the hotel direct to book a room today for a last minute night away for our Wedding Anniversary. When I tried to book online nothing was coming up that could accomodate our family, so I was a little disappointed. I decided to call reservations team and just ensure they couldn't help me out, and sure enough they found a room for us! I am very excited to spend the night here, after recently experiencing the 5 star service offered to my Mother and Sister in law. We attended a lunch for my MIL's bday. The food was impeccable, their room was upgraded twice and they were given an endless supply of complimentary cocktails/drinks.. They sure know how to make a women feel special on her Birthday. Have to make a special mention to the amazing staff that served us during that visit at lunch; Sinait & Kruze and a special mention to Valentin for arranging everything through my Sister in law. Your service speaks volumes and I look forward to experiencing it again.

The buffet breakfasts and lunches are amazing! And the service by the concierge is second to none each time.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the city, very convenient because you have the train station as well or you can walk if you want to look around the city or work. Nice Bar to have a drink. Definitely a good place to stay in Brisbane city.

Their Chinese New Years Ball was a fantastic night. Three course meal, live entertainment, dancing. Staff could not be more helpful and polite. Thank you Sofitel and sponsors.

Amazing attention to detail, wonderful staff and a lovely room. Breakfast bar was world class and equal to any other that I've been to.

I recently attended an awards night atthe sofitel. The food was lovely and the waitstaff were very prompt and friendly. The venue itself is beautiful with great views of briabane. 100% recommend.

Rooms have a bad smell, WiFi is not included unless you enroll the Accor program.

The food was not at the standard I would expect from this hotel.

Thyme 2 is amazing! Great food, really really great service, would definitely recommend the steak and oysters, and vanilla bean ice cream with whisky, was the absolute best, a must try. All the staff were really attentative and service was great, the only reason why it isn't a 5 star is you have to pay for parking even though you spend over $200 on dining...which I thought could be waived as we specifically came to eat at the restaurant. But other than that, it was amazing.

Great place to stay but couldn't find the gold flakes in our $24 glass of Shiraz. WiFi was a problem too. They were prompting us to buy WiFi but if you join their club, you get it free. It should be free considering the price/rating for this hotel.

Enjoyed my recent stay on a business trip. Staff were accommodating (including providing a toothbrush and toothpaste when I realised I d forgotten to bring it). Lovely rooftop pool and spa (gets lots of shade in the afternoon). Gym was a good size and they provide iced tea, although it was too sweet for me. Ordered a Negroni at the bar which was nice but far too short for the price tag ($22). Wine was seriously overpriced! Didn t try the breakfast this time.

Stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane Christmas 2017. For this stay I booked a club room with city view. The room was very comfortable with excellent facilities.
Interestingly a junior suite was actually cheaper however did not come with the access to the club floor so I opted for the smaller room.
View was excellent.
Club floor is great. Christmas 2016 it was very crowded so 2017 they appear to have been tighter on entry to the club. This enabled easier access to seating at peak times as well as less crowding at the buffet.
Food offerings and drinks were plentiful however outside of service times the offerings were thin on the ground.
Some nights I noticed a dessert was served around 8, some nights nothing happened. I was a little disappointed when there was this inconsistency.
Breakfast in the club was excellent.
Service throughout the hotel was excellent and I can feel confident that this is offering a five star service in Brisbane.
Only flaw I noted was one morning I was unable to get a cab with the bell man chatting with cycling friends leaving a hand full of people standing unsure how to get the taxi drivers attention.
Recommendations: The city view rooms are wonderful, aim for the highest floor you can get. (From past experience booking through discount wholesalers = lower floor. Booking via hotel = higher floor).
Club rooms are worth it for access to the lounge.

Can't recommend this hotel at these prices. The hotel is very dated and tired. The rooms definitely need a makeover. We were staying in a $320 night room which was in need of modernising. Fan in bathroom not working, noisy fridge, dirty windows, leaky shower. The staff however are excellent so the fault lies with sofitel. The food is also over priced and your much better grabbing breakfast at coffee club. I haven't stayed elsewhere in brisbane but I think you pay a premium as it's a central location. I would get a more modern hotel next time and wait for sofitel to update this tired hotel

I stayed 1 night only, the hotel was quite old building with old lift. Good Location in the city center, central station in the same building so you just go down use the elevator in the lobby.

Great customer service, nice views, rooms up to standard, good location, never had an issue - only reason not 5 stars is the lifts can be fussy when trying to get to your floor and the price of the food/drinks is up there

Good food good confrence facilites and a convenient location

This hotel is near the central station and has access to the station by escalators. It is across the anzac square and very close to almost everything. 10 min walk to queen park mall, and other attractions in Brisbane.

The rooms were good. Take higher floors to get some view of the city. The staff were very accommodating.

So far, with 2 kids below 5, it's been pleasant for us.

Always excellent food at the restaurant, Thyme 2. Yes, it's a buffet, but far beyond what you'd expect from a hotel buffet. Gourmete food, sorbet and gelato bar, pastries, fresh sea food, cheese and bread platters. Never disappoints.

Have been for graduate Expo as well as dinner and Christmas lunch on separate occasions. Have always had an excellent experience at the Sofitel, can't recommend enough.

Room and service are as good as other 5 star hotels, the location makes it stand out.
