The place itself is great and is perfectly located in the city. The reason that it wasn't perfect was the breakfast - there is a huge selection but it was bland and the bread very dry - unfortunately. Otherwise the staff was very pleasant.

I was in room 1510 (twin double). Room itself was functional. Beds comfy. Adequate bathroom. The issues: The noise insulation to the room is woeful.
- Traffic kept me up throughout the night. Recommended fix: decent acoustic glass in the windows.
- Next doors bathroom also woke me up. (The Taps make loads of noise.). Next doors alarm also woke me up. Another recommendation would be to soundproof the room from the other rooms (standard in a decent hotel).
- Charging for wifi in 2016 is like having a coin machine for the shower: unbelievable, I am not camping, I am staying in a so called 'nice' hotel?
- One further gripe:. I had to put the clock radio under the cabinet next to the bed as it gives off so much light it had might as well be one (a light...).

I won't stay again.

Christmas lunch was overbooked for the small area we were placed in. 20 minutes wait per plate serving with long ques. When we booked and called again to confirm to ask about vegan options as two at our table were vegan, they said yes. And for $275 each, they were offered roast potatoes, carrot and gherkins. Was offered to have stir fry cooked. Was given plain noodles with capsicum. Staff were friendly. When we booked, we were told we would have a view of the city and there would be live music. We were jammed into an alcove, unable to hear the music. We just had a view of the wall.

I am an accor member. They really packed in people for the festive season (December 17th) and we found it too crowded. The waitress we had was very good.. Have her a tip. One of my friends was violently ill with food poisoning after that night! The food standard is getting worse . Food was bland and variety is not that great.

Went for tea and cake, there wasn't a great choice, and the tea wasn't very nice, although it was loose leaf, which can be difficult to find at cafes. The service was very attentive and the bar area was clean and quiet.

A good selection of excellent food at Thyme2. We walked in and were treated excellently. Staff were kind and courteous and the setting was very regal. Overall a good place for a business lunch or a special occasion.

I came here for a 3 day trip. I was actually disappointed that the wifi wasn't free. In 2019, you would think free wifi would be the equivalent off having running water... the rooms were okay, felt a bit old. They need cable TV as well, like their competitors in Sydney.

An amazing way to spend a Christmas break.

An amazing way to spend a Christmas break.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff and beautifully appointed suit.
Thanks for a wonderful break over a tough holiday period.

It was a nice room, but there were a few issues with our stay, which really brought down our experience. I would have mentioned it at the time, but the clerk at check out never even asked about our stay.

- Housekeeping tried to enter our room 2 hours after we checked in and we were trying to sleep in the room. Luckily I had the lock on the door, but there was not even a knock on the door;
- On the Saturday morning there were several hours there was no hot water for a shower or shave;
- It took about 50 minutes to get the coffee and tea we ordered delivered to our table at breakfast. There was 3 mistaken attempts on providing the correct order.

Quite a nice place but rooms are starting to feel a bit dated. I ve never had a great night sleep here, the king beds are just two twins pushed together and you can feel the curves created by all the bodies that be slept there before you. The air con is also quite drying and noticeable when you sleep
