This review would be a solid 5 but due to not receiving my $100 deposit in set time of 3-5 business days i had to hassle and constantly remind the staff that i still have not received my payment. It has been 8 business days later and only now have they sent out an urgent fax to the bank to transfer me the money... Apart from that the room was lovely and i enjoyed my stay

Office I work for regularly hire venue for all employee annouencement at Sofitel. Around 500 staff fit in the venue. Have all the equipment necessary for big meetings are available. I do not know thw cost.

Food was ok. Nothing I would rave about. Service was good. Function was in a big area but it was a little hot. Even waiting outside in hall way Was hot.

The buffet feels good, the dishes are quite a lot, the plates are very fast, the price is not very expensive, and it is 80 people on Sunday to Thursday night.

Not a good start. Arrived one and a half hours after checkin opened. Our room is not ready and no estimate as to when it will be ready. We were given the promise of a bottle of red to be delivered to our room when it was ready and two drink vouchers in the meantime. We were advised at the bar that the vouchers do not work for mocktails. We had to argue that a $10 mocktails is a better deal for them than as $16 glass of red. Finally they agreed. Still waiting for our room and we are club members.

Central location with the amazing sofitel bed. Their breakfast and lunch buffet is awesome. Staff are always friendly.

My partner was there for high tea for a bridal shower. Service was good.

The hotel has a great location being situated above Central Station. Generously sized rooms although slightly dark and dated. The hotel has all the extras that you would expect from a five star hotel, pool, gym, spa, restaurant, bar, executive lounge, friendly and professional staff. Room prices vary widely depending upon the occupancy level of the hotel.

Great location. Very professional staff. Nothing was a problem. Food well done and heaps of options at all meals. Room comfortable and clean. Enjoyed stay for 10 days.

Good venue but disappointed the escalator from the train station was out. Also not great signage

Great place to stay, rooms are clean and concierge service is good! Ordered ice for our room and was delivered promptly. Would stay again!

Cheap aerated tap water sold when I asked for "sparkling mineral water" - The place used to sell Icelandic Voss but continues to go cheap.

We went to the Sofitel for dinner at their restaurant Thyme2 - parking was easy as there is street parking along the road and also a parking complex opposite. We had a very friendly and attentive staff member looking after our table. He made an effort to make us feel welcome and even remembered us from a previous visit to the restaurant.

Great Location, huge hotel, central station is just underground, Queen Street only 5 minutes away. Bfast is amazing, gym to be improved tho, otherwise it s worth it

The Sofitel Brisbane Central matched the customer service, friendliness and ambience of most of the best 5star+ hotels that I ve stayed at around the world (i.e. matched many of the $1000-2000 per night hotels). Also I find its location is perfect for most business visits to Brisbane. The staff are fantastic!

Perfect location over the old central railway station. It sort of feels like 4.5 stars and needs a little freshening up. Rooms are a good size and the buffet is absolutely huge.

I was on floor 11. The room was nice and clean and typical of a sofitel room, although a but dated.

Went for dinner at 8, was disappointing as seafood wasn't topped up when we started eating. Selection wasn't all that great either.

Very good location and quality service, the receptionists were extremely helpful and the breakfast in the restaurant was the best!!!

Awesome pool area, great place to take a dip and catch the sun for a few hours. Can order drinks to be brought to U by friendly staff who are always smiling

Great hotel. Although how can you have a gym that closes at 9pm?

Just don't understand why they have to charge for internet. It's the first hotel in Australia and actually anywhere else I've been lately that does.

Had lunch with family at the Sofitel Brisbane, been here a few times and never disappoints. Highly recommended.

Only there for the seafood buffet which was very good

Attended a work function. Very nice, clean and function staff were very professional.

The hotel is very good. It's close to the city. It's very close to Brisbane South Bank Park. The traffic is very convenient. Beautiful environment, advanced equipment, staff service attitude is very good! The guests are satisfied with their accommodation this time. Next time, we will arrange to stay in this hotel. Thank you very much.

Solid hotel. Excellent rooms. The hotel is above Central station. Few mins walk from Adelaide Street. Perfect location as well.

The lunch time buffet is addictive. Especially the prawns and oysters.

Buffet dinner: excellent service and reasonable food. Expected the food and coffee to be better and more varied considering the price and location.

Really good variety of things for dinner and dessert. Highly recommended

Fantastic venue, amazing food had the pleasure of attending a friends wedding at the Sofitel was just wonderful great atmosphere plenty of food and the service was awesome.

Over priced, small selection of foods and the seafood...the oysters are the smallest I've ever seen and that was really really disappointing as that was our main attraction to this buffet, crab meat stuck to the shell so it was a mission to get the meat out, however the prawns and bugs were nice. The only selection that had extensive range was the dessert bar. Lacked in service, took forever to get our drinks and when we had finished our drinks, no waiter came over which has never happened to us in all the high end restuarants we've ever been to. Then the line up to pay our bill was a 20 min wait. Not worth the money you pay so won't be going back.

Attended a 2-day conference in the ballrooms. Fairly nice venue, but air con was freezing. Lighting a bit dark, technology a bit primitive for presenting, and could hear staff moving stuff around during talks. Food was just OK. Coffee from cafe very weak. Staff organisation and service was excellent though, and the redeeming feature of this venue.

One of the greatest Australian buffets. From seafood to deserts Sofitel has you sorted. Bottomless champagne on Sunday.

Warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Rooms are a little dated however they are comfortable and clean

The place was nice enough to visit for a conference, but it is geared towards the super rich who wouldn't balk at paying $120 for a simple meal. Wouldn't order here if i even had that money

Stayed for a two day conference. Staff and amenities exceptional. Good was pretty good too. Went to pub above train station as drinks at hotel were crazy over priced

Best champagne lunch in Brisbane... Amazing spread of food and endless champagne.

Was told we were getting a great room..felt more like a prison cell. The place was empty and spooky...kinda like the movie The Shining. However the staff were accommodating and pleasant. Was kinda happy to leave.

Warm & welcoming staff. The rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The hotel facilities are also fantastic, got to love the heated outdoor pool however we were here in April and the pool lost the sun around midday so not great for tanning. Buffet breakfast is delicious but pricey so try get it included in your accommodation package.

The hotel is easily accessible, I attended a conference. The food was tasty & staff were well organised. Thank you!

Not quite 5 star. Not enough coffee pods for the lengtg of the stay

Staff were great and the function rooms were fantastic.

High tea with the girls. Nice options but far too many sweet options. Be nice if there had been mini quiches ir something else savoury rather than 4 serves of sweets, 2 scones and sandwiches.
