Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Reviews

Sofitel Hotel Nusa Dua is very nice and comfortable, I am very happy to stay here, in my room there are WiFI facilities, TV, ironing table, sofa, writing desk chair, spacious room veranda, bathroom with shower up, shower hair driyer, there is a coffee machine, a tool for making hot water, there is a small bar table not to mention the swimming pool is very spacious and nice, the view is very beautiful, the dining area is extensive with a full menu, behind the hotel direct beach is very beautiful, just topnotch, really top, according to the star 5

Our first family holiday was at Sofitel Nusa Dua we were extremely excited as a young family. My 1 yr old at the time and myself suffered a serious slip/fall on there tiles where my daughter smashed her head and had bruising and swelling and i twisted my knee and my back. We told the front office immediately and they sent down a nurse who couldn't speak any English and due to my 6 surgeries on my knee and the delicate nature of my injuries which i tried to explain to the nurse she didn't understand. I had to have surgery on returning to home and once we complained to Sofitel Nusa Dua again when we returned home they first offered a 2 night complimentary stay at there terrible resort and when i said no they have completely shut me out. I have been trying for over a year and a bit now to get ahold of Sofitel Nusa Dua and come to some sort of agreement however nothing there manager Sylvain Pasdeloup had not replied to one of my emails which is disgusting. I have tried neumours complaint lines with Sofitel however they all end up with no one getting back to me. I have tried going to lawyers however i can not afford one. Sofitel have gone to there lawyers and have threatened me for writing on trip advisor about my experience which i find funny because im telling the truth and seems Sofitel is more interested in keeping this quiet because they no how disgraceful this is to treat a guest in this manner. I will never stay at another Sofitel ever and neither should anyone who reads this because they will discard you if anything happens to you. Also there is CCTV footage of the incident and yet they still wont accept liability. You should be ashamed Sofitel you are a disgrace to the hotel industry.

The bad....

Pneumatic drill around the pool ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!! Maintenance, pay all this money to listen to that.
Everything is plus, plus.... plus 10% service then plus 11% government tax... expect to pay close to $25AU for a small Bintang and a glass of wine, $25AU for a burger.

WONT BE BACK.

Breakfast buffet with many menu choices.
From Indonesian food to Indian food and sushi.
There is also a special spot for making fresh juice with our own choice of fruit or vegetables.

If you choose to eat outside the area at breakfast, don't be surprised if there are squirrels who will come to say hello and ask for breakfast!


The swimming pool has 3 places to try. Coupled with a longitudinal pool on the edge of the main pool.
It's nice to relax in the morning or evening sitting by the pool.

There is a private beach in the area behind the hotel for those who want to enjoy sea water.
Sempatkan wake up very early to see the sunrise huh!

Entering the main hall you'll already be blown away. A very spacious, secure, modern trendy hotel with outstanding service. If you ever wanted to feel like a king then go to sofitel the staff will treat you in a way you've never seen before. I'd love to go there again!

A first class, service oriented hotel with everything you could want. It is very family and conference friendly in service, style, and amenities. The pool, breakfast, and most importantly beds will not disappoint. Their beach is also quite nice.

What an amazing stay 8 night we had, we booked with Luxury Escape as we did also last year, coming back here was coming home people are friendly and smiling, it was a bit confusing with the Main restaurant not there but still the food and service at the other place was good, special thanks to Alex and his team over there, also a big thank you to Yogy to smiling bell attended how happily introduced his boss, the Front Office Manger Jan from the Netherlands who gave us some small tips for the area around in Nusa dua, we hope to come back next year again. warm regards Jenny

Sofitel Bali is a luxurious resort with expansive pool areas and direct access to the beach. The rooms are spacious and well appointed however our room didn't have a view.

There are two restaurants Kwee Zeen and Cucina and also an additional beach side restaurant, Toya. Astica at Kwee Zeen and Topan at Cucina were very friendly. These restaurants have been reviewed individually.

Le Bar is their on-site bar located near reception and has views into the resort. Unfortunately, the staff are not very well trained. Even though they displayed signs promoting Happy Hour, the waitress directed us to the pool bar for Happy Hour drinks. I showed her the sign displayed on the bar and she confirmed with her colleague they were serving Happy Hour drinks. It was a nice place to relax and have a drink.

The pool and the surrounding areas were well kept. The staff were constantly collecting the leaves that were falling from the trees. There is a large pool area with spa jets. We found it a good place to spend some time. There are plenty of sun lounges and there is a kids pool area and a swim up bar.

Had a very nice stay at the resort and in general found the staff polite and friendly.

The dinner by the beach was amazing unfortunately the weather wasn't good today. It was raining during the dinner. Overall the dining experience was okay.

Wonderful luxury resort with a fresh touch. Great architecture and decor, friendly and professional staff-all as expected from Accour group. Disappointed that we couldn't add points to our Accour miles as we booked through an internet agent, I'd like to suggest that bookings through agents get at least 50-70% points in the future.
Kids club was full with mostly under 5s so our 7&9 yo were quite bored there. Kids pool is also aimed at very little ones.

We stayed from 25th Dec and including new year eve. A couple plus a kid.
The experience was amazing: great service, atmosphere, nice food, incredibly nice staff and efficient. On the new year eve the hotel organised an amazing party - excellent firework/world class! I give all the credit to their management and staff!! I'll certainly go there again if I go to Bali.

Had a wonderful relaxing time at Sofitel Nusa Dua. The room was spotless clean. The beach and pool were great. The breakfast was excellent although variety could be improved. The only let down was we had to wait an hour to checked in as the room was being prepared.

Service and facilities were satisfactory. But the price policy was a bit strange, so I paid twice as much as the others. I made a reservation at the official home about four months ago.

We used full access room. It's easy, but I do not think it's worth the price.
There is not much advantage in full access room other than tube parking because it uses bangalore or beach chair rather than room.

Instead, no matter how hard you turn on the air conditioner, the wet clothes do not dry. It's too wet.
It is recommended that you do not make reservations in advance when you are in low season.
I use it completely.

Sofetel bali is a must visit for beach lovers.they have a private beach with all the water sports and grilled food cafes.

We seated at the upper level and it was the best view of the beach that you can get in Nusa dua. The place is very impressive all made of bamboo, the furniture and everything piece is very sophisticated but still with that jungle feeling.
The service was fantastic!! The food was good and came in really fast! They have Balinese wine which was interesting.

Good hotel. But unfortunately I still see the difference in treatment between local tourists and foreign tourists. The hotel is less sympathetic to guests who are sick. There is no concern at all. I will never come back. 2 days here I feel unhappy at all. Hotels that differentiate the treatment of guests can not be highlighted, both pay really. Do we ride?

One of the best properties I have stayed in well laid out and very well maintained. All staff members, without exception, were very friendly and courteous. We did not encounter any hiccups or waiting times at any time. It was absolute delight when we entered the room, tastefully laid down, good size, clean and cool. Swimming pool was beautiful and we had very alert staff around the swimming pool. We were very pleased to see that almost all food items had been labeled "halal" (or otherwise), so we could concentrate on enjoying our meals. There was enough variety of food but was certainly a shorter menu than many other restaurant. Over all it was an extremely satisfying experience and we hope to return back soon.

Stay at the New Year. The pool and the beach feel good. It will take you to activities such as banana boat from the beach.

We stayed for 2 nights, it was a great staycation. The buffet breakfast is one of the best, seems they made the jam for the danish fresh and from the scratch, the room is spacious and beautiful. This is the perfect place for getaway.

The service is very good and the environment is great. Buffet meal is delicious, it is a place to relax.

I was there for about 3 days to join a forum as one of the committee. I discovered that the hospitality and the service there was absolutely great, supported with excellent facilitation. But in some moment, I realized that the employees smiling face just fake. Some of them started to show flat faces while playing their phones when they are supposed to react on guest's need.

Best ever Hotel I have ever been!! The staff were awesome! The hotel itself was breathtaking. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels, and myself work for an Accor 5 star hotel, but this is at another level! The Sunday Brunch! Words cannot describe how good that was!!!! Even if you are not going to stay here, you need to visit for the views and book yourself a table for the Sunday Brunch!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in October 2017.
Most :
* Very beautiful hotel
* Many services
* Beautiful rooms
* Very very friendly and helpful staff
* Proximity to the Bali Collection (5 minutes with the free shuttle, or 15 minutes on foot along the beach)
The lessers :
* Restaurants that are overpriced, personally I find much better food at the Bali Collection (Prada restaurant for example) and about 6-7 times cheaper.
* The noise of the pipes which is really unpleasant
* A lot of mold on the sink seal

The place is good, Resto with Indonesian specialties, quite varied, but the price is quite expensive.

Well overall.
We were with family for 3 days.
And it was good, lacks a bit of atmosphere at the beach bar pity.
Ok with tmeunan about the Chinese coaches that ruin the afternoon.

Beautiful resort. We loved the walking path along the beach right to the shopping. Very secure area due to the multiple security checks upon entering. Housekeeping was very accommodating to bring us a mattress topper when we found the bed firm.
Only downside was the lack of service at times and the high price of drinks and some food items. Dinner buffet was 450k rupiah with very limited items. Parts of the room like under the bed and under some cupboards was extremely dirty. We asked 2x why our fridge was locked, couldn't put waters or anything in it. Overall, we would definitely return from Canada!

It's a great property..Amazing location, very big and nice rooms and huge pool.The staff is very courteous. We stayed in the club room and the club facilities were very good.

Relaxing and joyful place to spend time with your beloved one

I booked this Hotel in July 2019 for a stay from June 19th 2020 until 26th June 2020. Due to Covid 19 and a Worldwide Pandemic declared I could not travel due to Government Regulations and Law from both Countries. I have asked for my money to be refunded on several occasions and spoke to Accor in Australia to no avail. They have my Booking marked as cancelled and inform that it was a non refundable booking. Under International Law and the Clause 'Force Majeure" I am entitled to a Full refund, including the $60 they charged me to convert from AUD to their currency. I paid AUD $2, 074. This is extremely disappointing of this Hotel who are greedy and seem to be a law unto themselves. These actions equate to nothing less than theft.
