Nice staff, clean rooms, good water pressure in the shower. This is an expensive hotel that caters to biz travelers, but if you have an early flight from Athens, & can share a room, it is the best. Just across the street from the airport.

An airport hotel with all chain typical benefits. In some rooms relatively old interior, ask for the renovated rooms. The service at reception is absolute friendly and supportive, always with a smile. The restaurant is superior for breakfast including front cooking. The service is also great and fast, coffee is good.
Unfortunately counts this not for the dinner restaurant, average buffet with mostly cold and over cooked food. The service was hidden and it took a long time to order and get drinks, one waiter always took one persons order and moved away .
Very clean rooms and staff very polite!I would give a better rating if the morning buffet (breakfast)had more Vegan selections!90% of what they served were from animal products! Other than that very warm environment!
very nice hotel, dear one. it's practically inside the airport terminal. attention does not have triple rooms but only double .... so you families ... stay away
Excellent! Our stay in the hotel was great, from the beginning to the end. We would like to thank everybody, each employee to have made our stay a wonderful one. The cocktails at the bar were awesome, our rooms were nice, the food at the restaurant: . Just near by Athens Airport, so it was so convenient. Thanks so much!
The bathroom should be renovated urgently. Bath should be cleaned better. More cleanliness would be desirable for the price. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
In life you sometimes get a good deal. This stay was one of them. Superb hotel, attentive staff, excellent snacks in the bar. Clean, quiet, big room the list is endless. Stopped over for a night on our way back to UK from Rhodes. Will plan to do so again. If there was 6 stars I would have given.
Amazing service from every single staff member I encountered, and pet friendly too. Rooms are by far the best airport hotel facilities I've ever used (and I've used many)
We visited Sofitel for dinner and then for a drink. It was a pleasant night, the waiters very polite and helpful and the food delicious. Quiet with very nice atmosphere and trendy spacious seatings.
Friendly, helpful and professional staff: despite the fact that the restaurant was not working for the covid rules and the few places available to eat were all occupied, they managed to seat us in a short time. Good food, great rooms, convenient location.
Awful experience overall. Upon check in, one of our NON-SMOKING rooms smelled of smoke, to which the bellhop admitted to having smoked a cigarette inside earlier. After getting a new room, my partner went to the sauna where the terrible design of the sauna caused 3rd burns on my partner's leg. Sauna staff was helpful giving us burn cream however, front desk staff was dismissive and not helpful; telling us that getting a doctor to look at it would cost us 100 even though the flawed design of the sauna (putting the hot stone brazier mere inches from the door) caused this accident. For 400 a night one should expect significantly better service. I will be avoiding this place in the future and caution you too as well.
Slightly outdated rooms, but still had some very nice touches. Very comfortable for our short overnight stay. Easiest airport hotel I've ever stayed at.
Located right at the airport, very convenient for travelling. The breakfast is buffet is very nice and the staff are very helpful. The 40 minutes metro ride into the city is a bit long, but cheap and easy to use.
Great place, good location, neat and clean environment, best place to rest your head after a long flight, save you the hassle of strongles through the traffic to Athens city.
Sunday 4/11. Our staff was warm and welcoming and presented us with buffet options. There was a great variety and fresh dishes prepared at that time. I chose to lay eggs with sauces and asparagus. The sweets were perfect. Worth a Sunday experience.
Paid $450 for a room as the hotel was the only one next to the Athens airport, arrived around 9pm with 8am flight the next day. Walked out of the terminal into the lobby, bellman took our bags - so far so good. Waited 30min to check into the hotel. There were 4 receptionists checking people in and they spent around 20min per person - not sure what there is to talk about for 20min for a hotel in a parking lot next to the terminal. In between they kept answering phones and making dinner reservations while there was a long line of people with bags trying to check in. I asked to speak with the manager - middle aged blond woman who was actually in the hobby watching the whole painful process the entire time. I explained to her calmly that we had waited 30min to try to check in for our 1 night here with an early morning flight. She got very defensive and told me that its normal to wait and in fact it wasn't 30min but 20min because she was watching me. I told her that if she sees that in most of the world waiting 20-30min for a $450 per night room is actually not normal and since she was standing around observing maybe it would have been more appropriate for her to actually help people with the check in process. She seemed stunned. Went upstairs. Walked past multiple food trays in the hallway in the process. 4 cleaning ladies passed us and the dirty food trays on the floor. I asked the 5th one if she could please get the neighbors tray left in front of our door. She said ok, left without it, 1hr later tray still there.
Got to the room, mediocre tho large by European standards. Bathroom smelled like a public toilet.
Went to the vip lounge , some soft drinks and sandwiches, very bad wine (hard to imagine in greece) and fortunately some hard liquor. VIP room itself looked like a raggedy grandmothers living room. 1 TV, hideous couches, no windows. Decided not to risk dinner given the expedience thus far but did glance at the menu - 22e for moussaka must be some kind of a joke.
This hotel was a total mess. Very poorly managed from top to bottom. I paid $450 per night in the Cyclades with impeccable service, breakfast included, on the beach. Honestly, a night in the airport may have been the better choice. Awful experience.
I visited it for a conference and unfortunately when I arrived the parking spaces were exhausted, leading me to the airport parking. The lobby bar serving coffees and sandwiches seemed utterly expensive.
Our room had a strange odor and the AC wasn't dehumidifying so our sleep was not anything to brag about. And still not sure what's up with the shower head only 4' off the floor. The staff was amazing and the restaurant was very nice.
Rooms of very different quality and comfort from neglected to noble. Spa and sauna area in impractical room layout, poor amenities, but nice view. Windows can not be opened, exposure to aircraft noise is low.
A high end hotel with all the amentities you will ever need. It is located in a very convenient spot near the Athens airport. Highly recommended because it's one of the top hotels in Greece, but also in the rest world. This is an upscale place so be prepared either for the prices or just for the luxury you will experience, you choose the side.
Only if you have to be at the airport at 6 am The room smelled dirt, water bottle was already open, almost total absence of electrical outlets in uncomfortable positions for the charging of the device, check in very long
We went here years ago and still think about it. The accommodations were wonderful. The staff were wonderful. The French restaurant on the top floor...you wouldn't believe was in a hotel but it was extraordinary.
It's a great location and has clean rooms. It's a little dated, but I really didn't like how one of the receptionists snapped at my wife rudely after a simple question. Kind of put a damper on our last day in Europe.
There is room cleanliness, some rooms refurbished, not all. A one day transit hotel, mainly for people who change flights etc. Clean rooms, accurate prices on everything. Great sound insulation, you don't hear outside sounds from the road and aircraft. The staff are a bit panicky ... especially on the floors. The big corporate classics, with few people getting double the job.
Good except even though their paperwork indicates that the Gym is open at 7am..this was not so 7.30..no one there..should be opened earlier and should flow through with what they indicate.
Very surprised, there was a odor that was not pleasant as soon as we got to our floor 7th. Bed is great but pillows sink your head in, was uncomfortable. Super convenient as we were traveling with many suitcases and it was very easy to walk across to the airport.
Great hotel for overnight before you fly and probably the safest choice during Covid. Lovely soundproofed rooms with comfy bed. Was a little disappointed at being charged full rate when only the bar is open and a very limited room service menu was all that was available.
Easy to get to from the airport. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spotless. However the building is showing its age in the details that are overlooked. Such as trim falling out of the elevators and doorways. Would stay again
At the hotel I found myself in the company of cutting and cutting the annual pie. Room amenities are good but I can't support the same for food - both outside of the buffet room and in the dining room where we had our main meal (I don't know if the food served is the same served) and customers staying at the hotel). The accompanying sweets are nothing worth mentioning. Staff willing though on the day of the cut we had issues dripping in our clothes when serving red wine from the staff. Basement toilets do not seem to have taken any energy-saving measures (lack of motion sensors for automatic lighting, use of mainly absorbent paper instead of hand dryers). Nice enough decoration and lots of places to take photos and create "catchy" images I was not able to stay in a hotel room to form a more global view
The room that we stayed in was very nice with large comfortable beds, an enormous shower, and nice decor. The staff was helpful, reminding us of the day light saving time change and providing a power converter to use during the stay. This is a great place to stay the night before an early flight out of the Athens airport. We would definitely stay here if ever in Athens again.
Had a wonderful experience at the Sofitel Athens. We had 2 adjoining rooms. One which was a suite with a living room and the other a standard room. It fit all 5 of us comfortably. It was very quite for being on airport property..but it gave us the conviences of the airport...i.e...food selection and shopping. Also, having the Metro at your doorstep was such a plus...it took us to all our favorite Athens attractions with us having the hassle of looking for parking. This was our third stay at the Sofitel and I can guarantee thay everytime we visit Greece we will be return guests.
The location of the hotel is excellent just outside the terminal and the rooms are small but luxurious. The bed and shower are worth the exorbitant price the hotel charges. Great for those who need to spend a night in Athens without leaving the airport. Less suitable for those who want to spend time in Athens
Outstanding! Could not have been better or more convenient for an early flight. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Sofitel at the airport the night before your departure!
Great hotel .. the room was very clean and comfortable! Room service 24 hours .. if you are bored you can go down to the first floor for coffee, snacks or drinks .. it also has a very good restaurant .. and if you are caught you can book a massage appointment .. that is a must!
Stayed here NYE (tonight) and we were told when we checked in they were having a NYE dinner and band. We were never told we needed to reserve a table. After going down for the dinner at 10:30 the front desk said it was full and we needed reservations for it but they could seat us at the restaurant upstairs on the 9th floor. We accepted then were told they were unable to accommodate us there as well. Not only were they not helpful in finding a place for us to eat they were rude as well. We were paying guests at the hotel when other people were only coming in to dine. That s not 5 star service or how you treat guests of the establishment. I do not recommend this hotel as a luxury accommodation and their service is mediocre.
