Stay here in November 2019, it looks like most of the hotel room had been renovated. It is very modern! Very nice hotel but quite expensive

Very nice, very clean. Can't beat the convenience if you're flying out the next day. The breakfast buffet is 5 stars.
This hotel has very friendly and helpful staff, lots of amenities and is across the street from the Athens airport for easy access to your flight. All facilities are top notch and well maintain.
Very convenient if your layover is overnight. Right opposite the terminal.
Nice hotel, very courtesy and fast service, good food and clean bedrooms.
For a 5 star hotel, it was frustrating that the staff did not speak good English. I was trying to get my laundry done, but I couldn't figure out from the staff's broken English when it would be done and whether I needed to collect it myself or not. They also did not seem eager to explain and cut me off mid-sentence.
We stayed with an aegean voucher due to a flight delay. It was amazing
First class service walking distance from the terminal
We stayed in the amazingly renovated rooms, but due to Koronoviou we did not try his kitchen at all, which we would very much like.
Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Great option if you have to catch an early flight. We were offered a free welcome drink in the cosy bar.
Nice five star hotel. Spacious rooms, fully equipped. Very long and helpful staff. The only thing I didn't like was the quality of the breakfast. Big variety, but quality could be better.
Good, convenient service. Although I slept there one night and continued the journey. But one night, amazing employees were amazing! recommended!
Used a day room mid September awaiting our flight home. High pricing reflected its the only hotel walking distance from the terminal. Struggle to associate the property s amenities as a Sofitel when comparing with others around the world. The Room, some drinks and a snack (not a meal) in the down stairs bar set us back around EUR$470 - definitely Sofitel prices! we were onsite around 8 hours.
A 5 Start Hotel. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are extremely nice. Would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic location, luxurious rooms and very professional and friendly staff
Clean, convenient and well equipped. Great buffet breakfast and helpful staff.
Quiet, clean and very, very comfortable rooms, perfectly located if you have a layover or want easy access to and from the Athens International Airport, literally across the road.
We only stayed here overnight. The staff was fast. and it was very quiet for an airport hotel (no plane sound) but they also had a window that was thicker then the door of a Safe... I guess the rooms are a bit overpriced.. but what you do when your flight is cancelled..
Good hotel for late arrival and early onwards, decent price
Great stay!
Rooms quiter than my house... Very clean and warm.
Staff is extremely polite, they do everything to keep you feel welcome.
Food is over the top with the best choice of candies worldwide.
Definately a "Must" visit.
Excellent hotel. Amazing service. Professional management and team. Thank you.
A wonderful, comfortable, quiet hotel with all amenities. It's a pity to leave.
Terrible :( it is not a luxury hotel. Well maybe the rooms were fifteen years ago or so. No functional outlet in the bathroom, the AC didn't work, which we discovered at midnight when the room was 75 degrees (they told me in the morning we should've changed rooms when we discovered this, two hours after we went to bed) and to cap it off, we were only given one bath towel. And they were rude about it all. So disappointing and expensive. Keep your food expectations low too - you'll pay twenty euro for an airport-quality sandwich.
This hotel bills itself as luxury hotel. Maybe I m a hotel snob, but this has been the least luxurious Sofitel hotel that I ve been in. Pros: very good location and if you have a layover, stay here bc it is 35 euros into downtown Athens. Also very quiet and I didn t hear planes. Staff is friendly and service is good. Cons: it just looks old. From the hallways to the rooms. Rooms were oddly shaped with ac having mildew smell. Bed is quite uncomfortable and feels really cheap with sagging in the middle. Tv also has a very low and limited max volume (very hard to hear certain programs).
If you don t have to stay near airport, go somewhere else. If you do, it s just an average hotel that is priced for convenience.
Superior hotel with newly renovated Room's, walking distance from the Airport!
Very convenient clean place to stay, food was very good
Very close to airport, walking distance.
Nice rooms, large, fresh and clean.
Didn't stay at hotel but my friend said rooms sound proof and bed like sleeping on a cloud. Food at restaurant excellent, service good but interior decor needs re assessing
Especially chairs (!)
A late flight in and an early flight out saw a need to stay close to airport - this is the only option for those in this situation. It is a little pricey, but we had an upgrade to Deluxe, and the room was just perfect - great bed, shower and bath, plenty of space for 2. In room dining was great. Would stay again if needing close access to airport for transfers.
Not bad for an airport hotel. Sofitels are a consistently good and even fantastic hotel, epecially in Paris and Rome. This Sofitel was the nicest airport hotel. We just slept there and ate a quick dinner in their restaurant. The food was good, but the wait staff needed more help.
Very short over-night. But extremely helpful staff, with a whole lot of luggage, and as usual a supremely satisfying sleep experience. I rate this very highly. Sleep in foreign places can be a bit of a minefield. Full marks to Sofitel Athens for a deep, sweet night.
Dirty, dingy room and uncomfortable bed. 20 Euro salads. It is a monopoly at the Athens airport. Enough said.
Not particularly large. Staff not very friendly, barely speaks English even tho Athens is THE go-to stop by plane for all adventures in Greece. Duty free was closed (covid times), not a lot of food options while you wait
Great hotel for businesses trips or short stops in athens. Good service, nice breakfast and cousy rooms.
A wonderful experience coming and leaving Greece.Professionals all around you, great restaurant and service, after a while you wonder if you really in Greece. You are doing a great job.
It was a pleasure to see once again in this amazing place !!
Wonderful, no complaints! 5 stars the quality of service, proximity to airport and the cleanliness of the rooms.
BEST HOTEL, BEST BREAKFAST, BEST STAFF EVERYTHING PROFESIONAL
A perfect hotel..with lots of beautiful spotless clean .. courtesy .. serviced and smiles from all the staff .. Bravo them ..
The hotel is great. Rooms are not too big, but comfortable. Breakfast buffet was glorious :)
My first choice when I have to travel from Athens, as the hotel is 2 steps away from the airport. No taxi needed, no traffic issues, I can enjoy my coffee and wait for my flight in a calm and relaxing environment.
Now where do I start?
Stained carpets, black mould in the bathroom, breakfast is 25 euro extra with a standard room, one beer is 7 euro on the bar, aircon blows cold air only, windows are bolted down, so either sleep in a stuffy room or wake up with a sore throat. Tried to pay get access to exec lounge, comes with exec room only.. A colleague took me along to exec lounge, 4 tables and soft drinks only... T
Swimming pool is 3 x 4... breakfast was terrible and very limited, this place should be 3 or 4 starts top.
On the positive side restaurant staff and converge service were great. Good location for Posidonia expo and overnight layover, otherwise not worth the price tag of 250+ Euro per night. Avoid at all costs, Holiday Inn is 15 mins ride away and way better value.
Good hotel and great location when you need to stay at airport
Excellent location for proximity to Athens Airport and the services it offers
Amazing as always. Great rooms, amazing service, incredible food great place to rest for an early morning flight.
On 2nd floor, has old carpet and the room is very musty.Need more restaurant choices, very expensive! Great location though.
Close to the Athens airport , just 2 mins walk :)
Convenient location ! Clean ! But overpriced !!
Large American beds and quality food at the restaurant
The shower and the bed are already worth the cost of the room. The reception staff are very friendly.
The airport location is convenient for next morning flights. Aside from that I'd suggest a stay somewhere else as you pay a premium for the added convenience. The hotel was more modern than most we visited while exploring Greece. The rooms were plenty spacious for an overnight stay and included most of the standard amenities. The room did not include an iron or ironing board but neither did any of the other hotels we visited while in Greece. The shower, with ceiling mounted rainfall shower head, was spacious compared with the showers of the more rustic locations outside Athens. Due to the airport location the view from the room window was less than stellar and there was no balcony. The bed mattress was too soft for my taste and had a dip in the middle. The lobby restaurant was offering a buffet the evening we stayed and the food was good and varied. The service was decent as our drink orders were slow to come out. I would only visit this hotel again if I had an early flight out of Athens.
Nice hotel, but limited opportunities at the AirPort.
Clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Conveniently located walking distance from the airport.
What's not to like? It's greatly located for travelers with an early morning flight. The service was impeccable. Food at the restaurant was nice. The receptionist I met was kind enough to speak slowly to help a guest with less fluent English, which I want to see more often. Only if the pool was less deep...
What a great hotel. We stayed on the executive floor and loved the lounge and free breakfast. Being a frequent traveler and foodie I can honestly say you will find no better breakfast buffet anywhere. The staff was professional and nice. They all seemed to speak English well and even dealt with me trying to speak Greek to them. If we fly into Athens again I can almost guarantee we will be staying here.
Zero desire to accommodate our needs for shortest stay possible.
I am often traveller to Athens and Greece so pity seeing such arrogant attitude. Literally first time within years and tens of visits.
Reservation office didn't want to offer any solution while I called in order to get one. It is clear possibility exists but lady kept saying as a mantra 'we are not allowed'.
Stayed for an early flight the next morning. We enjoyed the large and clean hotel and pool.
The hotel itself was lovely, very convenient for the airport and bus service into Athens,a little pricey for what it is offering at the moment due to covid restrictions though, well equipped room with everything you need, staff were very pleasant, would stay again for convenience purposes
Very good reception
Food very good
Very good rooms
Cleanliness nickel
Beside being extremely convenient to the airport..this hotel really is fabulous. Check in was perfect. Dinner was delicious [GREAT JOB CHEF x10!] on the 9th floor and the service was spectacular! The room is super quiet, modern and fresh, shower is something special for sure too. The bed...omg...extremely comfortable. Room service was also perfect. My order was relayed and he was very polite and easy to understand. A+
Easy and comfy. The restaurants are expensive, but worth it.
This hotel is a joke, camomile tea 6,50 latte 6,50!!
Lovely hotel, great staff, good food and convenient location! The bar is very overpriced but everything else makes up for it. Oh the shower is fantastic!!! I'll definitely return.
We were given an upgraded room that looks like it was built in the 70s. It smells , and quite frankly embarrassing to even associate with a brand like Sofitel.
Front desk service was fantastic , location is great and that's pretty much it.
Coffee is too expensive, without providing anything extraordinary.
