Great 5 star Hotel exactly next to Athens International Airport!! Nice indoor swimming pool with Airport view!! Rooms are large and comfortable and Restaurant and Breakfast really good!!

They charged us 201 euros for 1 night without breakfast. Bad rooms nowhere close to these price standards.

I am not really a reviewer, but since I do read everyone else's I think it's time to contribute. Our stay was short at the Sofitel, but it was a very nice hotel. We had booked two rooms for our family of five, and the woman who checked us in was very nice and accommodating and told us she had given us connecting rooms and that someone was already there to unlock the middle door, and that they would be delivering an extra bed. We went out to visit the Acropolis for a few hours and when we came back our bed was waiting for us, without me having to call and find out where it was. We had the buffet dinner in the restaurant and the food was actually really good, much to my surprise. Our waiter was very nice and helpful (I can't recall his name). The rooms were very nice and the shower was great. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very quiet. No noise from outside or from the hall. Checkout was super fast. All employees were very warm and welcoming and the location cannot be beat, especially for an early morning flight.

Stay is wonderful friendly staff, room service is exceptional, awesome amenities. we arrived a couple of days ago and love it! Adjoining rooms for the kids a plus Great dinning has lots of options. great way to end a beautiful time in Greece!

Really convenient hotel as it was right across the street from the airport.. we had an early morning flight and saved us a bunch of time.. great facilities as well

Good hotel, but expensive. However, little choice if you want to stay at the airport. Beautifully designed rooms, very clean, comfy beds and tea facilities, plus good quality flats screen TV.

1. Excellent hotel: great service and great location (can t be any more convenient if you need to catch an early flight; also, only a short walk to the Metro to go downtown, although we don t recommend using the Metro. There s only a train every 30 minutes, and the ride is almost an hour long).
2. Extremely quiet room no matter which floor you re on. We upgraded to an executive room on the 7th floor during our first stay, but the layout and the size of the room were exactly the same as the classic room on the 2nd floor that we stayed at during our second stay. The only difference was the access to the lounge on the 8th floor and the inclusion of breakfast. No other differences.
3. Strange design of showers: one can t access the control without getting sprayed on first.
4. Good food in all restaurants.

Hotel is nice enough for the price. Directly across the street from the airport departures terminal, which is highly convenient. Would recommend avoiding the Artemis lounge, as above is unbelievably slow.

The Sofitel next to Athenas Airport is really amazing. The service is really 5 stars. I need it like clockwork. The structure is large, with numerous room options, fitness area, swimming pool, spa, sauna, restaurant, event center, panoramic restaurant on the ninth floor, restaurant and cafe on the ground floor and a beautiful loft at the reception.
Of course, this whole structure has a price, and the daily rate is extremely expensive, mainly because there is not a single accommodation option in the Airport region, which certainly left me intrigued. It is true that the hotel takes advantage of this exclusivity and raises the prices of all services.

Right next to the Athens airport. The interior is slightly aged but still well kept. Staff are professional and friendly. The restaurant opens 24 hours.

The hotel is extremely comfortable for situations where you have many hours between one flight and another. It is across the street from the airport so you spend the night comfortably and arrive on your flight without hassles or taxis. The hotel itself is not as good as other Sofitel, the prices are high and does not justify 5 stars, but it is very comfortable

The room was already quite used, mattresses very soft, aircon difficult to control because it reacts very slowly, service down to a minimum at maximum prices and that doesn't fit together. The restaurant is closed and there are 6 or 7 dishes in room service at prices that don't even top the Sofitel New York. No pool, no spa. Reception is slow and still with a lot of mistakes - with us you forgot to write the room number on the breakfast order which unfortunately leads to a lot of chaos in the morning which you can't afford if the flight leaves immediately. This shouldn't happen to a 5 * hotel at RoomRates from 200 . The promised view of the runway was nothing, instead parking lot. :-(

The hotel offers half day rate. Great for a same day layover. The restaurant is good and there is a nice outdoor smoking section. The location is fabulous and the rooms are very nice. Free wifi. My only gripe, the window didn't open.

The staff are lovely and the breakfast perfect.
The restaurant on the ground floor is very recommendable.
The rooms and beds are very comfortable.
The presence of carpet is however regrettable (there is in particular a small persistent smell in the rooms that I attribute to this point).

Hard to believe but the room is quiet even though it is really close to the terminal (across the road). Swimming pool, gym and sauna on the top floor. Free for hotel guests.
A little expensive, but convenient for those who land at night.

Good quality rooms and only a few steps from the airport

Amazingly quiet for the location. No plane noise at all, nor traffic or other people. The piped music in the hallways was perhaps unnecessary. Staff were nice. Bed linen was great. No English channels other than news, and static reception on all. Room was a decent size, and the separate wc to the shower was handy. It's not cheap, but not unreasonable, for what it is.

Excellent service and willingness. There is a great outdoor smoking area. Nice and indispensable coffee. Conveniently located near the airport for a night and departure the next day.

Very nice Hotel. You wouldn't even know it was an airport hotel unless you looked out the window. The dinner buffet was very tasty and the service was great. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Great hotel to stay but no where to go except airport, includes 2 restaurant, 1 is expensive other one is quite expensive and far from city center.. silence alone depressive

This hotel is supposed to be five star in USA we rate that as superior. This hotel is far from that.
1. The carpet in our hallway is pulled up very easy to trip.
2. It s a beautiful day outside October 26 it s 70 degree Fahrenheit and we aren t allowed to sit outside. How crazy is that?
3. The rooms are nice so if you want to sit in your room enjoy, I d rather sit outside and enjoy my wine. My husband is having cigar and I have to sit inside . Very bad along with smelling everyone else cigarette.
4. We came to this hotel for convenient access to airport and you get that with a very high price tag . Not the most enjoyed experience in Greece actually the worse but go home tomorrow. The convenience in my opinion is not worth it.
5. Stay 3 km away and don t overpay for this. So not worth it!
6. We haven t eaten dinner yet but I m not expecting anything superb.

I was very disappointed by my stay at Sofitel. Check-in took a long time (guests were queuing at the reception) and the receptionists did not seem in a particular hurry. I was given a voucher for a complimentary drink but there was nobody at the bar for more than 15 minutes, and reception and concierge were too busy to find the barman so I gave up.
I was also disappointed by the service in the spa/pool area. When I arrived, I asked how to access the swimming pool and made it obvious it was my first time. I was fully dressed and was directed to the pool, but when I finally found the lockers I realised there were no keys and had to go back to ask the spa reception for a locker key (locker keys not being available on lockers but only from the spa reception). The room itself was good and the bed comfortable but, in the bathroom, the water temperature kept changing while I was showering.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you have no choice (it's the only hotel directly at the airport) or you do not mind wasting your money.

Typical airport hotel with a justified 5 star service

Hotel of great quality inside the airport, however I had a problem at breakfast time, upon arriving I was informed that breakfast was not included, had to be calling between reception and restaurant and had to go to reception to prove it had paid An embarrassing situation. They could avoid this kind of situation by organizing themselves better

This hotel next to the airport is VERY nice highly recommend to stay here if you have a flight the next day. Very nice amenities, big showers with rain fall shower head, comfy beds and great food.

I stayed one night as we had a layover in Athens. We checked in smoothly and the room was really nice. Clean, spacious, and bright. We checked in really late night due to a delayed flight and we were very pleased to find out they had a 24hr restaurant. Overall, the service and the hotel was nice.

Nice hotel, but prices for food and drinks are exorbitant and reflective of the inelastic market that comes with an airport hotel. We found the bar/restaurant had friendly service and good food, but 20 for a hamburger is beyond ridiculous. We booked a room using Chase points and were clearly given the worst room in the hotel: #101. Adjacent to the meeting rooms. Too tired to argue, we reluctantly settled in. The room had a very strong chemical/sanitizer odor but was otherwise okay for our one night / 10 hour stay. We left at first light for an early flight.

Pros:
-Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms.
-Fantastic showers
-Fantastic breakfast spread.
-Pool on site
-Only a moments stroll from the airport arrivals hall and car rentals

Cons:
-Food and drink options for dinner were very pricey
-Service at the lobby bar was very slow

It is supposed to be 5 stars but it lacks a lot. Smell inbthe room, and the hotel needs renovation

We had a really stressful day of travel and it was a huge relief to arrive at Hotel Sofitel. Staff was friendly and accommodating and they even loaned us a power converter to use for the night when we had left ours at another hotel. Also can t beat the location when you have an early flight. I wish all our hotels in Greece were this nice!

Great location. Next to train station. Only 35 minutes to CBD. Comfortable hotel. Great staff. Food is nothing to write home about. Rooms are starting to look a bit tired and old definitely in need of a restoration. Internet is terribly slow and even the upgraded fast internet that you pay for is slow. This is my third visit and it is nowhere near the standard I expect from Sofitel. Staff are great but amenities have to be upgraded or else I'm going elsewhere.

Its a nice hotel by the airport,you dont hear anything and that was wonderfull,the rooms are ok but aan bit smalle, the shower is very good only the room looks aan little bit dated, bed was very good,the Light above the bed was a bit to bright ,breakfast was ok,its nice when you have a tablet for the breakfast,ask whats they want to drink,coffee or tea, for us it was weared that we sat on the tablet,and wel asked the waiter for the Coffee and tea,food was ok

We only wanted to use the bar/restaurant after lunchtime. First my wife asked for a table outside. The waitress said she needed to go inside. Then I asked the bartender if we could not sit outside and he agreed. So far so good but then we needed to wait for another half hour to make our orders. After the order we waited again for another half an hour to receive the food. So for a Sofitel standard only mediocre customer experience.
