Our central air conditioning unit was making noises and intermittently stopping. I called Snelling and they quickly sent out a technician named Jacob. Jacob was very professional and polite. Jacob could have told me I needed to replace the whole unit and I would have believed him. Instead, he checked the unit and told me the capacitor needed to be replaced. He ordered a capacitor and replaced ours the next day at a fraction of the cost of a new air conditioner. We were so happy with his professionalism that we asked him to do the annual maintenance to prepare our furnace for the heating season.

Excellent sales and service by this company. They installed my furnace and ac and I couldn t be more pleased. Excellent company to do business with, highly recommended.

Cannot recommend Snelling Heating and Cooling enough! They have done our AC, furnace and water heater. They are always looking for ways to do what is right not just what makes them the most money. I won't use anyone else to service or replace our heating, cooling and electrical needs. They always take the time to explain the options and make sure we understand instead of relentlessly trying to upsell.

We had a broken water heater on a Friday night. Howard was here quickly and worked hard to get it going. We really appreciated his professionalism and good service.

Our Sales Rep, Jordan, came out to see us within a day of when we called to walk through and figure out the right setup for our home. He never tried to over sell us and was up front about everything. The installation crew did incredible work with both the furnace and air conditioner, walked us through the setup, and answered all the questions we had. The results the first night were immediately obvious.

We've already shared our story and experience with friends and can't recommend Jordan and rest of the crew highly enough.

I required an inspection of my furnace and seasonal maintenance.. The service person showed up in a timely manner. They were able to clean and inspect everything. They had to replace the thermocouple, of which they checked with me before doing. Very curious and informative.

Have not had the best experience with this company. We had requested our heating to get fixed so that we could get heat onto the third floor. We took their recommendation of getting a new boiler which they installed with some new piping. While a new boiler is nice to have, for the price it would be nice if we got heat to the third floor like we wanted, still no heat to our third floor....Upon following up they never figured out how to fix the situation after coming out, and never got back to us after that. We had to go to someone else who upon arrival were perplexed with some of the work Snelling had done. When we questioned Snelling about their work they were fairly short and rude while being adamant that they had done a perfect job (from over the phone). More recently we have had a gas leak from one of our pipes connected to the boiler, and while I can not hold them accountable for this, I can not rule them having missed something during there checks a few months back, as this most likely has been going on for a little while. Once again when questioned about the gas leak we received a short response with the usual run around, and no solution as they were unable to come out to look at the situation. I hate leaving bad reviews for any company (this is my very first one), but I believed this has been earned, not simply given out.

Walt from Snelling was great! He was punctual, professional, personable and overall did a great job! I would recommend Snelling and I would ONLY use them next time!

Snelling Heating Cooling & Electrical installed a mini split AC system in my shop this week and I was very pleased with their service! Of course, I was searching for contractor during the the hottest May ever - and, Snelling Company was helpful and very prompt with communication even in this busy time.

I was shopping around and received multiple quotes from several companies. Snelling came in right in the middle - while also installing a top-of-the-line Mitsubishi unit. Plus, they had much better communication than other businesses.

They were even able to fit our install in almost a week earlier than initially quoted. It took less than two weeks from my first conversation till it was installed. (During a 90 degree May when everyone was scrambling to get their ACs in! I'd call that incredible!!)

I'd highly recommend them for commercial work! Thanks so much, Snelling Company!

I have used Snelling to install ductless air conditioning, replace the boiler and water heater, and general maintenance. They are prompt, polite, and clean up after themselves. They explain the available options. It is easy to work with them. I recommend Snelling.

I had a great experience with Bob at Snelling. He was very informative and professional. He did not pressure us at all and was straight forward with us. Only reason I did not give 5 stars was when they were installing the workers left my backdoor open and I was unaware (I was working from home and in another room) I have cats and thankfully they did not get out. When I informed Snelling to maybe just let the workers know to tell people when they are leaving doors open they brushed me off a little and said they workers are so busy they probably didn't realize I had cats. Whether or not they realized it I feel I should have been informed. But Other than that it is great company and we got 3 different estimates and overall quality and price snelling was the best. Highly recommended.

Brayden from Snelling Air did an outstanding job scoping out and revamping our dated air conditioning system. We have a complicated setup and he went beyond the normal duties to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Hands down one of the best places i have ever dealt with. Bob from Snelling came to our home right after i called him for an estimate on an A/C unit, he was upfront with what was needed and didn't try to sale anything that wasnt needed. Snelling was flexable with my work schedule and got a tech to install it ASAP. Even after 6 months they called to make sure everything was going okay. Randy came out to troubleshoot my mini split for me. He found a couple damaged connections and was able to get everything repaired. Everything is back up and running wonderfully. Thanks, guys.

The Snelling professionals did an outstanding job installing our new gas boiler. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and expertly, left a very clean work area and showed us how to operating our heating system. I would heartily recommend Snelling to anyone considering installing a new HVAC system.

This company is the worst. Three years ago they installed a humidifier on our furnace and had to put in an in-line filter. When I called to ask them to replace the filter they said that they no longer supported it. I had them come out and do a maintenance check on our furnace and the technician look at the filter (Which I had to purchase from another company because this stupid company doesn t sell it anymore) and made some adjustments and now it s leaking worse than ever! These people are utterly incompetent

I called Snelling to replace my furnace. Since it was an immediate need they temporarily slapped it in but by the next day the tape had let go and sheet metal was literally hanging loose exposing the guts of the furnace to open air. When I complained, they just gave me this "yeah, that's what can happen, we're sorry" line. I didn't feel like he was concerned much at all. So I won't be recommending Snelling Companies to anyone who needs heating work done.

I called with some questions about a small job (to run new wiring for a thermostat) and was extremely impressed with their customer service. Jake took the time to answer all of my questions and help me figure out the right path to get my system running again (even when his answers may have pointed to a solution that wouldn t require me to hire them at all). I also felt like my business was important to them, even though I was inquiring about a pretty small job (for which two other contractors never even returned my calls). These guys will be my first call next time.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! June 2016: I was with a different company and they were always rude to deal with. I called the Snelling Co. (Snelling Heating, Cooling & Electrical) and was surprised at the difference from the moment they answered the phone. The lady that answered was very nice and informative. I ended up speaking with a manager for more service details and he explained everything to me. He suggested first that I clean the AC condenser unit outside. He pointed me to YouTube instructional videos too. He could have easily had me pay for a service call to do it - but he had the integrity to suggest I do it myself to see if that solved my problem with the AC struggling to cool. Well, I went outside and took off the cover panels and wow! It was very dirty, even after 3 yrs from last servicing. I hosed it down, its now clean, and is no longer trying to breathe through a stuffed-up nose so-to-speak. Again, they could have sent a tech out and charged me for this simple thing, but had the integrity to help me solve what turned out to be a simple issue on my own. They have earned my trust and loyalty! (and my referrals). I very highly recommend them!

9-1-16 Update: I had a T-Stat go bad on me after 4 years. Contacted Snelling Co. & they swapped it out no problems. Amazing customer service in an age where most companies don't care about anything but the current sale. I will definitely have them do my annual tune-ups.

Our air conditioner stopped working on Tuesday of this week. A very inopportune time since it has been so hot.
The Snelling crew arrived this morning. Our thermostat read 89. We had both air conditioner and furnace installed since both were over 20 years old. We have used Snelling and Snelling before and have been very satisfied.
Can and two of his co-workers installed both furnace and air conditioner, removed all of the old and did an excellent
job. We are so very pleased with their work.

I've worked with Snelling a few different times; several maintenance calls and one for full replacement. Dave has been out on more than one of those occasions and delivered amazing service. Every time the experience has exceeded expectations.

After years of having a service plan with one of the big Twin Cities companies, we wised up to the practices of the metro's large home service companies and decided to take our business elsewhere. Since 2016, we have had the other company out to address a problem with our A/C, which they identified as a coolant leak. The solution was always a spendy top-up of coolant with no further diagnosis; we did this every single spring. This year, we had Snelling out and they did a MUCH more thorough diagnosis of our system, including going up into the attic to look at the air handler which the other company always refused to do. Randy was informative, courteous, and personable AND immediately found a massive leak at one of the joints. We were able to get the leak addressed and entire system working again for lower than the cost of our previous, ineffective coolant top-ups. Wish we had called Snelling 4 years ago!

My parents were long time customers of Snelling at their condo, and I am happy to keep using a company I trust.

This company does great work. The technicians are on time, they know their stuff, and they don't charge you for more than you need. I will call Snelling every time.

Snelling replaced my old boiler that was red tagged by inspection. The price was competitive and the service was extraordinary! From Bob who did sales down to the team that did the installation everything was top notch and really exceeded my expectations. It was definitely an expense that was painful, but I would recommend Snelling to anyone. Great job-five stars!!

They came out on a Saturday night to our Boxing Gym. Gave me an estimate on a new furnace (a little spendy) You get what you pay for. They were great to work with. Borrowed us space heaters to heat overnight so our water pipes would not freeze. Came back Sunday morning and installed the furnace. Sunday morning, need I say more?
I and the kids thank you.

Set up a first maintenance check for a/c and furnace in our new condo. Randy was prompt, courteous and very helpful. I have used Snelling in prior homes. They earned the call and did not disappoint.

The Technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. He didn't seem to mind that I looked over his shoulder the whole time and helped educate me on my boiler. When he left the boiler was working great :)

Did nothing but lie and try to sell me on buying a new a new, overpriced furnace. I paid to have him fix the furnace, but rather than doing the fix (my kids had placed rocks in the outdoor pipes) he told me I needed a new furnace based on CO levels. Mind you, he never actually tested the CO, nor would it be possible to ignite the furnace to determine this.

In the end I removed the rocks myself and will be going with a more honest installer. Sleezy all the way. Avoid.

Update: in regards to Mr. Barfield s response, I would like to provide the following input as a consumer of their services. While you note poor condition of flames and that the heat exchanger was in poor or questionable condition, I must strongly attest that these are quite subjective analyses and thus very much a judgement call for the technician. He immediately jumped to the conclusion that a new furnace was warranted without entertaining or suggesting the idea that a fix was possible. I never requested a quote for a new furnace in lieu of repairs; repairs were simply never offered.

Is it really enough to warrant an immediate jump to this conclusion without hard, QUANTITATIVE assessment (i.e. an actual CO measurement)? People appreciate proof, not speculation. There is simply no excuse for the technician to not take a CO test to validate his speculation.

UPDATE 2: Another HVAC technician came and cleaned out the burners, flushed the water lines (there was gunk in them) and was able to ignite the furnace and take CO levels. Not even CLOSE to having high CO levels - 7 PPM directly from the furnace. This company obviously did nothing but try to sell me on a completely unnecessary new furnace. Oh yeah - I also got a quote from another company for HALF THE PRICE! Terrible technician that reflects horribly on the company.

A bit pricey but excellent service, timely, tidy, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. I was extremely impressed by the efficiency and care the techician took to make sure I understood the problem, solution and total cost. Great customer service from first contact with the company to completion of the job.

Snelling HCE stands behind their work. My concerns were respectfully heard and their response exceeded my expectations. When Braden came to the house he was awesome, he showed up when he said he would, he respected our home by taking off his shoes and he explained what was going on and he got the job done.

This company put in an inducer motor which was the wrong one. Then they told me that the unit was shot and charged me over $5k to buy a new one!

This is an awesome company!! I called after hours and left a message to have a service call the next day. Bright and early they called me back and made an appt. for that morning. Called again to let me know they were on the way and gave me the name of the service tech. Mike showed up on time, had all the right stuff, and went right to work. Kept work area spotless and did a great job at the price quoted. You cant go wrong calling this company!

The crew at Snelling Company was wonderful to work with. They are responsive and clear communicators. I felt like they were looking out for me when my air conditioner broke down. I highly recommend them!!

I had Snelling come out to do a furnace check at my father s home who passed away last year. The technician was Brandon, he was so friendly, knowledgeable and informative. I was so impressed with the service I received I came home and called to schedule a furnace check at my own home.

The Snelling Company has been taking care of our heating and air conditioning needs for us for several years. They recently installed a new boiler system for us. The installer (Brayden) was very knowledgeable, responsive and professional. He walked us through the entire process step by step and followed up accordingly. I am very happy and great full to have Brayden sold and actually with his team installed the job, which includes replacing my existing in floor heat system that includes both hot water and boiler. Brayden explained clearly all the faults and hazards of my current system. Brayden came back with this team later, removed the existing system, redid all the piping and delivered a system that is so much better. I wish I had him doing my in floor heating system in the beginning, when I had my house built. Now I understand what it means by having a competent contractor, knowing what needs to be done and being able to complete the job as promised.

AC had conked out and the technician came out and fixed the problem

Howard fixed my heat fast and easy ON THE WEEKEND. He arrived within an hour of my call and had my heat working in the following hour. These guys are FAST and professional so I had them come back and clean my ducts as well.
While Randy and Howard were here cleaning the ducts, Randy took the time to give me a lot of useful information about how HVAC works and how to control the humidity/dryness in my house throughout the seasons. I appreciate the fact that he gave me useful information rather than trying to up-sell me additional services.
If your stuff can be fixed they will fix it, not just try to sell you expensive new systems. I highly recommend them for any job and will be a returning customer for any future needs.

We had to unexpectedly replace our furnace in November 2019. Bob Weber and team were prompt in the service call and took the time to ensure I fully understood all of my options before making a decision. The price was very competitive and the service was incredible. The installers did a great job problem solving a difficult set up and even came back out (at no charge) to fix a slight issue. Snelling Heating Cooling and Electrical was amazingly responsive. On Monday morning I made a Tuesday appointment for central air conditioner repair. Mid-day on Monday I received a call saying they could move the appointment up and the tech could be at my house in a half hour - and he was! The tech quickly diagnosed the problem, fetched a new part, installed it and I have cool indoor air once again.

AC repair and guidance on an aging system: I appreciate their explaining the issue and answering my questions.

These guys are AWESOME! I had a furnace replaced in the winter. In the summer I had some AC issues. I thought it was going to be really bad. Turns out it was mostly "user error" on my part. They came out (right away) tweeked some things, and showed me what I needed to do. Then they wrote it off as a warranty repair. That's it! I am a loyal client for life now! :D

I had Snelling Heating Cooling and Electric put a furnace in 26 years ago.
The attitudes of their staff was and still
is horrible. My last encounter was so bad that, now I need to purchase a new furnace, I would never consider or recommend them to anyone.

We have a wonderful older home that has zone heating and cooling, The Snelling Company did a great job of replacing all of the system, including the dampers and zone system. From the sales rep, Bob Weber to all of the service techs, we had an excellent experience and are loving our new system. Can recommend them to anyone looking for heating and air conditioning.

Great service. 2 years in a row during the coldest day of the year my old furnace (installed by an independent contractor) went out. They answered my call in reasonable time and got me going both times.
I just recently purchased new furnace and chose them to install it this time cause they can back me up as proven.
Install went great and fast. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

An ecobee thermostat installed by a handyman resulted in replacing the transformer in both our systems (boiler/AC). I had no idea what was wrong, but our heat wouldn t turn on and the ecobee was dead. Snelling company came out right away when I called and had it up and running again. Both employees they sent out were polite and arrived on time. I will absolutely be using them again when needed!

If I could give this company a zero I would. This company was called to fix my in-laws boiler. When my in-laws went to turn it on, there was no heat. Subsequently, they have been to their house 3 times to no avail. The expectation from Snelling was that they would call back within 24 hours.... CRICKETS. Many calls were made to Snelling and the only person they talked to was a receptionist. The response was that they were all in meetings and that someone would call back. The final response via the receptionist was they have spent too much time on this issue and need to move on to other jobs and they could call back in November. DO NOT use this company! Take your business elsewhere!

Snelling replaced both our furnace and air conditioner. Very professional from the time Bob explained our options right through installation. We were especially impressed with the quality of metal work and line installation. William is a real craftsman. His attention to detail was much appreciated.

The Company charged me $266 to light a pilot light on my furnace. Very bad company. They overcharge and made up other stuff. Do not call them for anything.

During the holiday season and in the middle of a cold snap, my forced air heater was having intermittent issues. I could hear the blower motor stalling which would result in thermal overload tripping. Snelling scheduled a tech within 24 hours and he showed up when expected, Took about an hour to verify the motor was failing, replace it and have reliable heating again. Professional, reasonable time to diagnose and repair.

Alex was a great communicator and gave us options. When I first called them, I got the best phone service of all 8 electrician companies I called.

The technicians and managers are rude, talk down to you, and they do not stand behind their work. I had to argue with the manager for 20 minutes to return and give us a break on a repair they caused. They would not repair properly, so used Leak Stop instead. We still paid for it. Three visits were required to correct a problem that could and should have been identified at the beginning. Each visit resulted in additional charges. They will not be welcomed back. It was always a case of "not our fault, it's yours, here's your bill."

Needed a new thermostat installed and a GFCI outlet. Both were done the same morning I inquired for service. Thank you!

Called for service Late in the evening. Squeezed me in the next morning to take a look. Was given good honest feedback on our situation with recommendations to fix or replace. Prices also very competitive. Would call On again.

Hands down the best service company I've ever worked with. I'm not easily impressed, but every time they come out, I feel the need to write them a rave review. They replaced our furnace and hot water heater in 2016, and they were consummate professionals. Today I called at 11am, because our A/C wasn't working in this awful heat. They had it fixed and working by 12:20, and only charged $250! I love these folks! I highly recommend their maintenance program!

The men installed our ductless air conditioning efficiently, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the household. They listened, answered my questions, explained things, and adjusted placement ofa few things based on my request. They did a fantastic job as usual and I have zero complaints. Jordan Hagan is a star employee! He squeezed us into his schedule to quote for a new furnace to replace our redtagged one. Very smart and professional and eager to answer any questions I had. Haven't had our furnace installed yet but looking forward to calling snelling our hvac company.

From the estimate to the install their team was great. Bob gave me my estimate and throughout the process and after was more than willing to answer any questions I had. Bob went above and beyond IMO. The day to have the system installed came and it was clear the crew knew what they were doing. Well worth the investment.

What a terrible company. They claimed to replace a part and billed me a thousand dollars. I have text messages from my tenant complaining of no heat 3 days after they claimed to have fixed it. I had another company fix the part but Snelling is still trying to bill me! STAY AWAY!

a complaint has been submitted to the Business Bureau My experience with Snelling right now is trash, salesman Jake is good and the owner good too, Technicians in the other hand they are unacceptable. we were asking to relocate the furnace into a better area in the mechanical room, we pay down 6K for a 20K job... they told me the installation of the equipment is not going to be the difficult part but the ductwork... the first day the technicians showed up they didn't do nothing they told me the job I was trying to get in place it was impossible I being already losing days of work because of these people (where I'm not getting paid)... in the same day Jake and the owner came to my house and told me this is a job that it was doable. so we lost 1 day on a 2-day job and now they are not willing to work with me on trying to finish this job early??? I'm not even asking for a refund we just want the work done

Very quick service on my water heater, (same day). Both estimator and installers very efficient and friendly. This was a difficult access project and they took it in stride.

Brandon was my technician for the maintenance work and he was great. Everything was great, attention to detail, efficient and personable. On time service with a smile (under his mask, of course)!
