Horrible. They wanted me to sign a form saying I can only buy the CPAP machine thru them. I asked for 5 minutes to call other vendors, and they cancelled my appointment because I didn't want to use them as a vendor for the machine. Horrible service

Done with them! Notified of an appointment change to two hours after my appointment. That notification came 20 minutes before my original appointment. Oh yea, they also changed the provider I was supposed to meet with. Totally unprofessional for a medical office to change appointment time and provider without notification!

I was referred by my pcp back in April 2016. I hadn't heard anything so I spoke with my pcp again in JULY, they said they sent all my info over back in April and that sleep insights should have called me by now. So I call to make my own appointment since I still have not heard from them and it's now August. I tell them what I've said above and try to get things scheduled, but I'm told they don't have any of my information. Seriously? After reading the other posts, I'm not even sure I want to go there now.

My husband was referred to Sleep Insights by the PA in his cardiologist s office. Accepted the referral as sleep disorders and apnea are profoundly vital concerns. They deserve gravitas, respect, and finely honed and sincere diagnostic attention. And as such, I highly recommend avoiding Sleep Insights. Though very well credentialed and legitimate on one hand, on the other hand they seem like a boiler room operation ( think GlenGarry Glen Ross) cloaked in a pseudo healthcare environment.

There are reasonable alternatives with less questionable motives than Sleep Insights. Seek them. Proceed with caution. My husband does not have a sleep disorder/apnea but after his interaction with Sleep Insights, he intends to approach any/all ethical review boards and commercial practice standards bureaus to sanction Sleep Insights.

This may read like sounds of fury signifying nothing. Still, I hope you heed the fury and the noise. They are narcissistic and be assured they do got game! Pay attention .....they have an impressive system of plausible deniability.

Explore ANY other options. If you need further detailed information of my experience and observations why I make these claims, feel free to ask.

Terrible hours. Does not take into account what the wearer prefers. Frustratingly few options. Actual appointments are not allowed after 4pm. Also reply person, my name is Beth Anne. Told person I don't like full face mask. Sent me home with a full face mask.

I worked with Heather (I m so sorry I forgot her last name) but she has been nothing less than absolutely wonderful. She was very informative, charismatic, and an absolute blessing while I went through the process. The best thing she provided to me was the thought that I was just as much a part of this journey as they were. Thanks so much Heather!!

Dr. Dominik is great. He listens to what you have to say and tells you what you need to k now in a way that is easy to understand

My first visit was pleasant. I was shown the room where my sleep study would take place and it was lovely. When I got here the night of however, I was take to a converted office, very small, no bathroom, slower etc. I felt dooped. Now here I am at the meeting to go over said sleep study and was kept waiting 45 minutes before I walked out. The lack of professionalism and caring for patients is apparent. I would strongly urge others to seek elsewhere , I know I will be.

I recently had a sleep study done and have to say I was surprised at how comfortable I actually was with it, thanks to your staff. I have not stayed over anywhere but my own home for years and was quite nervous over it all. As soon as I arrived I was pleasantly greeted and made comfortable right away. The tech who helped me was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and couldn't have been nicer, it was very easy to express to her what all of my symptoms are and she answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. As nervous as I was, I was convinced I would not be able to sleep. However, I slept pretty well and it was one of the best nights of sleep I have had in over 6 years. I believe I will have to come back for another test in the near future and I am honestly looking forward to that. I know what to expect and know I will be well taken care of! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!

Dr. Dominik is absolutely brilliant, and I appreciate that he considers patient insight/opinions as well. I would highly recommend him!

I had seen other reviews on Yelp and was concerned going into my first appointment. Needlessly so - the people there were fantastic. The woman at the front desk who checked me in, the woman who took my vitals, the woman who met with me to discuss my symptoms and explain the sleep study - all friendly, personable, and helpful. I ve been there three times now and every appointment has been quick and painless. I ve already recommended them to three of my friends.

I had an overall positive experience at Sleep Insights. I was very nervous on the night of my sleep study, but my sleep technician, Rebecca, was wonderful, reassuring and chatty and made me feel comfortable right away. My follow-up visit with Ed to get my CPAP machine was good, as well. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is that I left 2 messages (one on a machine, the other with an assistant) for a particular individual to have a question answered after my sleep study and the call was never returned. Other than that, my experience was positive.

This establishment is incredibly unprofessional. They are kind when it is convenient for them and they do not provide actual assistance with issues of sleep. Would not recommend.

As a RN myself, I am fully aware that it is becoming more and more difficult these days to come across quality patient care. I also believe that it should be recognized when we do. Julia, NP and the team at Sleep Insights are shining examples of what it takes to deliver this kind of care. I was quite literally on the verge of losing a lot more in my life than just my drivers license if it weren't for this team of caring professionals. After suffering for years from life-altering, intense daily fatigue, I now not only have a diagnosis that they're working hard with to get me feeling better, but also hope. I am so hopeful for a brighter, happier future with my kids and family. **Special thanks to Julia, Yvonne & Justin- you 3 are simply wonderful**

Clean, sanitary, well organized and friendly staff.

Respiratory therapist was kind, listened well, used the information to help her diagnose and treat the problem with the CPAP equipment.

I would like to take some time to say how incredibly professional , and comforting everyone at Sleep Insights was. As someone who suffers from severe anxiety of anything medically related, Julia really was a top notch health professional! she made me feel very comfortable , and intuitive to my concerns , as well as answered any questions I had about my sleeping issues. She was very professional , all around!

I have been in Rochester since the start of Covid -- usually living full time in Washington, DC. I am from here and my family is here. I had been seeing several docs in DC about my sleep apnea and didn't have much luck finding great care - and very bad luck finding docs who would communicate with one another. I found Sleep Insights and Dr. Dominik. He is AMAZING and his staff in the office is amazing. Alexis, in particular, has been incredibly helpful at every turn. She is so friendly and always follows up. And Dr. Dominik spent a lot of time with me on his initial visit - exploring everything and has been great since. They are also very communicative with my other docs. It is total night and day from my experience in Washington, DC. Highly recommend!

I can proudly say im less than pleased with Sleep Insights. I'm 19 and have to undergo surgery on my tonsils and adenoids because i can no longer breathe. My ears nose & throat dr referred me here. I went once for a consultation and was told i need an at home test, I was told i had to wait for a machine to be ready and id receive a phone call. About a week later they followed through but didn't understand that i didnt need sleep apnea help, my surgeon just needed the results so i can be able to breathe finally. Well, upon trying to pick up this machine they gave it to someone else. I left numerous voicemails to the "nurse" in charge and for months no respond. When i finally got a hold of someone they told me i no longger had a perscription and now have to wait even longer and this process is just beyond painful. I would not reccomend them to anyone.

The technician was polite and helpful, The room was okay and temp in the room was kept how i liked it, i could hear people in the hallway talking until after 10pm. I was not aware to bring my own towels so i pulled on my hoodie and zoomed out of there to get home and shower off all the glue.

Lindsay at the Syracuse office was awesome as always! She always has great suggestions and is extremely helpful.

From my initial contact through follow up after my study it was a very positive experience. The doctor, tech, and office staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. I had my sleep study done in center with no issues or problems. Would highly recommend.

They took time to explain things and answer any questions I had. They were very helpful and professional.

I was absolutely comfortable with my tech for my overnight stay. She was helpful and knowledgeable. She explained things in a way that I could understand. My provider is excellent, if I have questions, she's there to clarify or to teach or to explain something differently than the MD dictation. I highly recommend this place to those who need answers to questions they may not know they have.

I cannot express how happy I am that I was referred here. The wait time to get an appointment was minimal, the staff was friendly and understanding from the first call through getting a sleep test, and they put their patients first. I am more than happy to refer any friends or family to Sleep Insights knowing the great care they will receive!

I had a sleep apnea test done at home which I had to call numerous times to ask for equipment. When I went to pick up the equipment it wasn't ready and waiting 20 minutes outside because of COVID.
When all was said and done at my appointment I was told I have sleep apnea and in need of my equipment. This has been over a month and still nothing! I called my insurance company that told me it's ready to be picked up, however I haven't received any calls letting me know this or anything I need to follow up with. I'm the one reaching out doing all the work with no help from them.
So where's my sleep apnea equipment? I'm suffering worse! No sleep, snoring more frequently.

If I could put 0 starts I would. They did not show to telemed appointment. got no help that I needed, a machine I can't use and a $500 bill. And who knows what my insurance company was charged. I feel very cheated and unhappy with the whole experience with this company. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this place!!!! I feel like there is no other places like this around and they have a license to steal from people!!!

My review of this provider well, I was referred by my doctor and set up with a telemedicine appointment. I had my video chat with some lady named Porpiglio. She told me she would set me up with the equipment for my study as per my insurance and they would call me when it was ready to be picked up. My appointment day was December 7, 2020 and today is January 17, 2021 and I have never received a phone call for my sleep study, BUT I did receive a bill for the sleep study telemedicine conference. My opinion is their place is a joke. I have sent them 2 emails with NO response...Save your money, and don t waste your time.. find someone more professional and trustworthy!! DO NOT call me and try to fix this You wasted enough of my time.

Terrible experience. Did a home sleep study and received a random call on a friday night right before they closed stating my follow up was cancelled but they couldn't tell me why. Called back as soon as they opened on Monday morning and the front desk transferred me to two people who went straight to voicemail. I attempted to call the front desk again multiple times with no answer. When I called from a different number they answered right away. They were obviously not answering me on purpose. I was eventually told that the only person that knew the reason why my appointment was cancelled wouldn't be in for half an hour. I had to sit by my phone and wait for the only person in the office that knew how to help me to call. I finally got a call back just to be told that my home study came back normal. Not sure why only one person knew this and no one else could help me.

Dr. Dominik is very professional and knowledgeable. He has helped me greatly with my sleep apnea. The entire team is incredible!

This place takes FOREVER to fill important prescriptions! Every month its a hassle getting in contact with the physician to have my medication refilled. This is the fourth time I have zero meds left and my condition is getting worst! Wegmans has contacted them several times and they have still not responded! My neighbor told me that I have a case against this practice should I choose to go that route. This is ridiculous!!!

The staff was very helpful and considerate, my room was clean and comfortable. Even with all the wires all over me, it was a very pleasant experience.

Today I received a bill from this place for $240, for a visit that I never scheduled. I was seen here a few times. All times, my insurance covered my appointments. Last month I was left a voice message about an appointment. Which they took upon themselves to schedule. After I had already cancelled a previous appointment. And I stated that I would make an appointment on an as needed basis. Seeing that I was told that my condition wasn't that serious. There was no need for me to continue to be seen here.

I heard this voice message days after the appointment, due to being very ill. Which is besides the point. Since I never made this appointment, and did not give permission for to be made for me on their behalf.

However they chose to take it upon themselves to make an appointment for me without my consent. And now are charging me $240.14. None of which I will pay. The pure dishonesty of it all.

This place is a total rip off. They are scamming insurance companies like Medicare and Medicaid, with appointments, that patients DO NOT make, over testing, and anything else to get money from insurance companies and patients.

I knew it was a scam from the first few visits. Which is why I NEVER made any new appointments and I clearly stated that I will not be returning, unless my PCP stated that it was absolutely necessary.

Tomorrow I plan on calling them. I'm sure they're going to try to explain to me how I of course owe $240.14 for a appointment that I DID NOT schedule.

Why would I schedule a follow-up visit when I don't have a sleep condition? And why would they schedule one, unless they are just trying to bill insurance companies for unnecessary consultations?

No different than an auto mechanic taking out your engine, when there was nothing wrong with it from the beginning, then telling you to pay for it.

Just to end this, these folks absolutely DO NOT have good intentions for patients, DON'T TRUST THEM..... YOU'VE ALL BEEN NOTIFIED!

After I call, if they don't understand that this bill is null and void, I will be contacting whomever I need to, to make sure that they are fully investigated, for wrongfully billing patients and any other thing that they may possibly be doing illegally.

Spoke with Dr. Dominik who was excellent. Very knowledgeable and took his time to answer all my questions. Highly recommend his services.

Had an EEG done. The overall experience was great. Friendly staff, very clean environment. The tech that worked with me was Justin - very informative, courteous and accommodating.

Updated October 2017: after seeing this practice for years they dropped my insurance without the common decency to let me know or inform me so I could find a new physician. I only found out when going to get new supplies that I can't afford because of the lack of insurance coverage now so their irresponsibility leaves me without care until I find someone else. Very bad business and unethical action towards patients.

Sleep Insights used to be fantastic. Lately, however, they have hit a bump in the road after losing their main physician. With his passing the practice seems to suffer from a lack of organization and professionalism. Getting a call back on any matter can be a defeating task lately.

Jen was my tech for the night. She was wonderful, attentive and helpful getting me all wired up. The bed was comfy and the room was dark and quiet; all helpful when trying to sleep in a strange place with all that goes with the sleep test. It was a very positive experience for the overnight sleep study.

I have been going here for about 7 years now. There was a transition of new ownership at one point and the future of the local office was unsure but luckily it all worked out and they just moved to a bigger office one town over and I m so glad they could stay around! I have a rare sleep disorder and if it wasn t for someone there actually taking the time to listen to me about how I was feeling then I m not sure where I would be right now. I have the pleasure of checking of visiting the office once every six months to check in and it s always a pleasant experience. Fast friendly and caring is how I would describe the office and medical staff here.

It is unsettling when the expert you meet with struggles to read the report and really wasn t prepared to share the report.

I thought I would share my unbiased review even though I have not finished my experience with this company.
I am a Veteran and was referred here through the VA Choice Program. I've been exhausted to say the least for a long time now.
I had a good experience for my first visit going over my history. The provider and myself both received a letter with what was going to be covered that was different from what was actually approved. I showed them what was approved and they worked with me to give me the best possible care.
A week before my sleep study I received a voicemail my appointment was cancelled because the veterans choice program didn't update what was approved.
I won't lie I was upset when I received this voicemail and so exhausted I almost gave up.
I'm glad I didn't because Veterans Choice screwed up! I called my local VA to look into issue and called back sleep insights who said they didn't actually cancel my sleep study. I let them know I was working on issue and they said they were too. I managed to get it all sorted out before my study and didn't have to wait longer which was a huge relief!
When I arrived for my study the technician was amazing! She answered all my questions in a friendly and professional way. She seemed very knowledgeable and competent to me. I have experience in customer service and can say she definitely delivered!
While it's still early, I just wanted to thank sleep insights for caring about me and going the extra mile!

Justice, a very polite, soft spoken young lady took very good care of me! Having a sweet soft voice and a pleasant personality is so important when dealing with people who are having anxieties about their sleep study and being hooked up to all kinds of things, especially when I got myself tangled up in my sleep and needed to be woke up without being given a heart attack! She was a doll and I recommend sleep insights and Justice as your technician. I think I slept so well there that I will never be anxious if I ever have to do another study!

From the initial evaluation, the sleep study and subsequent meeting with respiratory therapist have all been top notch. I m just getting into wearing a CPAP but the instruction and support received from Ghali Sleep Center in East Syracuse is fantastic.

The technician was polite and helpful. I felt as thought she really cared about my comfort. The room was nice. Unlike my past experience it felt more like a hotel room and less like an examining room. My only concern was the delay. I was told she would be there to set me up in 5 minutes but it turned out to be 20 or 30 mins. She explained that there was a back-up. This wasn't a big problem for me because I had my e-book. It might have been concerning if I was the nervous type.It is the only reason why I gave four stars instead of 5.

-- Part Two of my Sleep Insights experience : After my initial visit at Sleep Insights I thought it was going to be my last. But for the sake of my health I knew it would be important to go back and have my sleep study conducted. I was apprehensive about going back but decided to continue the process for my overall health because of how long it took to get the first appointment. Once again I had a terrible experience with Rebecca. My mother and I arrived at the sleep facility and waited at the door for about 2 mins. Rebecca met us at the door and led us to our room while saying : " Don't worry I wont be sleep tech tonight , I saw the review you put up about me online". At this point my mother and I are in shock by the lack of professionalism and disrespect , yet again. Keep in mind that I am a teenager and she is an adult that is suppose to be providing me with a service. My mother then proceeds to step in the hallway with her and explains in detail how disturbing her behavior has been for now a second time. Rebecca then starts to repeatedly apologize and says" this is why I wanted the other sleep tech to answer the door". After her and my mother are done talking she says that my mom will have to sleep in a chair and that a trundle bed wont be provided. However a trundle bed was offered to us last time. Overall , I found it very hard to get comfortable and fall asleep during my actual sleep study because of how uncomfortable she made me feel . On a positive note , Maureen was my sleep tech and was absolutely amazing! You could tell that she truly cares about her patients along with her job. I personally would not recommend sleep insights but if you have an appointment already for a sleep study I recommend asking for Maureen or Justin . They are true professionals and are the star players of the Sleep Insights team.
Part one : Very unhappy with my experience. Rebecca was my sleep tech and repeated to tell me that she was not going to waste anymore of her time because I had extensions in my hair which made it hard to place the wires. Rudest customer service ever , probably won't be going back. I was unaware that extensions were not permitted and if i would have know I wouldn't have worn them. But instead of her trying to work through the issue and resolve it she simply stated that her time would no longer be wasted. I too work for Rochester regional health and I am discussed to know that my own company would treat me with such disrespect

I will never use this facility again I have good health insurance and I was charged a $90 co pay plus I received a bill for $272 after the fact for a basic consultation . I went to Uof R and my co pay was $30 dollars and I received great service and met with the chief of the department . I will be using Strong from now on and saving a few dollars

Loved all the staff, everyone was very polite and attentive to my needs. The facility itself was very comfortable just as if I were home

The staff is so helpful as is my doctor. The sleep study was great too! They have very comfortable beds, yet we re still able to determine the problems. They also have TCL Roku TVs in each room, which was a great touch!

Good luck.... Only ever get voicemails no call backs. I figure after leaving 8 VMs, they either don't care or are severely understaffed. Save yourself a year's worth of headaches and try somewhere that is staffed.
