Very underwhelming breakfast. The hollandaise was far too lemony, the cooked breakfast was mediocre at best and the black pudding was inedible. There are hundreds of places in London that do a better breakfast at half the price.
Beautiful place and 1st class service but your only getting what you pay for
I've been to Sketch twice so far, and the first time was an absolute incredible experience. The staff were impeccable, the food was amazing (you can ask for more btw, we had like 8 truffle sandwiches amongst the two of us oops), and the tea selection was divine. Their bathrooms are also must see!
The second time I went, I was a little disappointed, the staff weren't on their game, they kept dropping utensils, forgetting our drinks, and it was a nightmare to try and catch their attention. I'd go again, but probably on a weekend, and not a weekday like the second time.
Great service, food, Tea, desserts... all without a reservation in the front parlor. Loved the Alice In Wonderland-Esque quirkiness of the whole place! Definitely recommended.

This place gets one star for the decor only. Everything else was a miss. The staff was rude. The tea came out luke warm and didn t even use real loose leaf tea, they used tea bags I can buy at the market. Both the food and desserts were very stale. Go anywhere else but here, really not worth the $130 per person price tag at all (unless you don t mind paying that much for an instagram photo and 100 likes).
Had afternoon tea with my mom while we were visiting and were so glad we did. The experience was pricey but so memorable and worth it. We had an amazing server, Mate. He was so attentive and explained the menu to us so great!! Would definitely go back again!

Super fun place to stop off for a quick drink or high tea, though I d recommend you book. It s a really instagrammable place. Incredibly beautiful decor and some really fun Dave Shrigley prints. Make sure you visit the bathroom when you go here. They are literally out of this world.

We only had cocktails at Sketch but the service was amazing and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The rooms are gorgeous and outrageous at the same time. I love the toilets! The drinks were really good, hefty but a great to enjoy a unique dining experience.

Lecture room and library: fantastic. Superb dining room, oppulant. Food did not disappoint, modern but with basis in classics. Punchy flavours, beautiful presentation and faultless service.

Beautiful decoration, was dying to see what the hype was about. Came here for lunch, and the rooms are seriously the most uniquely decorated restaurants I've ever seen. It does live up to the prices on the menu, the food is good, but I guess it is a little out of my budget.

Sketch is a great place with lots of atmosphere and quirks. The service is brilliant, the food and drinks are incredible and the place is kept in stunning condition, of course all of this comes with a huge price tag. However a big downside for me is how touristy it has recently become and is absolutely packed in the East bar and the gallery. For example people come in and queue just to take pictures and then leave. This can take away from the specialty of the occasion in my opinion. However in the Lecture room it is stunning and is nothing like the busier side of the building. It s quiet, refined and sophisticated and the service is impeccable.

The interior is absolutely beautiful, and the service was very good. The staff were very attentive. But honestly, the food is pretty pricy for what it is though. You re really going more for the insta photos and the ambiance.
Always a good place for tea time or a cocktail before or after dinner. The Parlour is the best hangout for me - good music, drinks and atmosphere for a relaxed yet fun time. The Restaurant is overpriced now, good quality though. Obviously must visit the famous toilet so if you've never been you should definitely go and Insta-away!

Sketch is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best mixoligists in London. However it is plagued by its own popularity.
Very querkey. Very interesting. Lots of rooms with different dinning experiences. I feel like the door people could have explained it better but you can get a meal downstairs... or just the cafe upstairs. I think you require a reservation to go for a meal.

Atmosphere and style is amazing, really worth going for. However, the food was not inspiring or renewing... something one would expect when paying big money. Service was good, but a bit nervous. I would recommend going here for a drink to get a sense of the atmosphere and style, but for this kind of money there are better places to dine.
The food is not amazing; but it is very good...the modern restaurant decor and unique design is what makes this place a must...the walls are filled with amazing modern art and you HAVE to take a look at the bathrooms..I don't want to spoil the surprise, but you will feel out of this world! Went here recently for a birthday meal. the choicof food is rather limited but very nice and wonderfully presented. The decor in all of the rooms is amazing, we were in the "glade" room and it was just fantastic. The toilets are rather edgy as well, having individual "pods" and a spiral staircase ( see pics). The only reason why this isnt 5 stars is that the service from our waitress was terrible, we had to call her iver numerous times to fill up water and when the starters came we had to wait over 5 mins for her to come back for us to ask for some clean cutlery. As well as this, she did not once come back to check if our food/cocktails were ok.

You can't go to London without visiting one of the best High Tea spots on earth! Yes, it is instagram worthy but it's the service and the delicious food ...and the ART! I am obsessed with the ART! Every single moment is meant to be photographed and you wouldn't want to stop ! I sure didnt!

Gorgeous decor and renovated on an annual basis. Lovely cocktails, wine is extortionate even by the glass I would recommend not indulging in it. Gets 4 stars at for some odd reason they play rap much only for the last hour and the bar staff are extraordinarily rude when you request a change as it kills the ambience.

The food is not upscale enough with the place, the service wasn t good until we complaining about the food. They need to train their waiters how to serve tea and water, but not just push my hand away with the teapot and pour the tea in my cup.
The food are not good at all! Of course you are here to enjoy and experience the cozy pink afternoon tea place but you are also expecting good food and tea as well. However, the matcha tea(nor any other tea), sandwich and the scones were not good at all! Feels like you can go to any other convinent stores and get the same type of sandwich or sweets you want!
Don t waste your time for the booking! There are plenty of better afternoon tea place you can go and enjoy the Real food!

I went for my birthday. It has such a creative and theatrical setting, and the staff were lovely; they even brought me a little cake out.

Quite disappointing. I had a booking for 3:30 and had to wait around for 25 minutes to be seated, bear in mind there was hardly any acknowledgement of this inconvenience, considering if we had 15 minutes late they would have not only cancelled the booking but charged us 30 pounds per head.... Service was incredibly slow, trying to get assistance was a constant struggle. Nice atmosphere and nice food, but wouldn't go back based on lack of service- at the price we were paying I definitely would expected a higher standard.
A DREAM! Everything is so detailed and it truly feels like you are Alice in Wonderland! The staff is very professional and almost like scripted actors but additionally the food is also amazing.

A birthday treat so the expense was justified. So many small plates of tasters all cooked perfectly with unique flavours. The fresh butter with bread was delicious. Service very high class and decor to die for. Very ambient.

Absolutely adore this place! The food is good but definitely not the show stopper - would recommend for afternoon tea in the pink room, drinks at the bars and oddly enough, the bathrooms!
To be honest I was kind of expecting to be disappointed when we booked lunch at the Glade, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. The design of the room really is quite magical (the pictures don't do it justice), and the service was exceptionally nice.
The food is generally quite good, though a bit hit-and-miss: the shellfish bisque was delicious and the most flavorful I've had, the sea bream was solid, but the lemon strozzapreti pasta was extremely bland and the parsnip veloute, while interesting, felt pretty cold and unfulfilling.
Still, the prices aren't too bad, and the place really is extremely well-designed (the bathrooms alone make it worth a visit, no joke), so I'd definitely recommend stopping by.

Really cool place. Great interiors, very Instagramable, staff of course is really nice. It's quite posh place and portions of food are poshy small, so don't expect to be full after one course. Prices are accordingly posh, but not that bad 20-40 pounds for the main course.

The place is extremely overpriced, outdated menus online (such as on Zomato) show a lower price (so obviously, there's been a huge price hike for basically no marginal benefit). The outer facade is under construction, and there is an unnecessary pretentiousness exhibited by those who greet you at the door, especially regarding reservations even when the place is empty. Too few tea masters to adequately serve everyone, lack of clarity on what you receive for x amt of money, and a general lack of will to discuss prices and options, which is annoying if you're a visiting tourist unaccustomed to tea traditions and this particular establishments offerings.
That being said, there's an old man at the entrance to the pink room who is incredibly nice and charming. The place has great decor as well.
Overall, I personally would be happier with a cup of tea from any cafe around a corner.
Exceptional experience, especially for the price you pay. Sketch has three Michelin stars. We visited another 3-starred place the next day that couldn't be compared with the overall experience in Sketch in any way, both in terms of food and in terms of service and environment.
Interior is amazing, artworks stunning (exhibitions change, we were told), and the cuisine was not only amazingly tasty, but enough to satisfy us, so we didn't need to sacrifice taste for quantity.
We didn't try the tasting menu, because the regular menu was already full with different dishes and tastes.
Excellent service, of course, friendly and chatty staff for the type of place. The girl that served us some of the dishes showed great knowledge in wines and chose the best one for us.

The atmosphere and starters were great. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of the fillet I ordered which was very dry and not cooked as requested (I asked for a medium-rare, it was medium/well done). I reported it to the waiter, but my comment was literally 'blanked'...
Such a shame, given that the menu is clearly overpriced.

Cakes and sandwiches are fantastic and tasty. The tea is a very poor experience.
They don't clean the teapots properly so there is peppermint taste in a classic assam tea... and they hardly use any tealeafs so most of the flower and green teas is more broiled water than a nice cup of tea..

Epitome of fancy tea experience and IG worthy photo-ops. The pastries were fresh and the personnel was knowledgeable and friendly about things to try! Do not forget to go to the restroom and you will see an entirely different experience. Quirky, eclectic and posh!

Afternoon tea was a complete disappointment. Our server didnt discuss the menu nor did she provide timely service. For $250USD I am appalled. The egg bathrooms are kitchy but seem more like outhouses to me. The tea was not steeped and the food and desserts had no flavor. Overall a really disappointing experience.
This place was so weird but in the best way. I found it online while looking for a place to take my family to for my fiance's birthday. The website was bizarre. It was the funkiest website I ve been to in a long time. After reading reviews and doing as much vetting as I could I decided on The Glades room for the birthday dinner. The Glades room is unusual but in the best way. It s like you re in a fairy world sort of lie a garden in that the carpet is different heights and colors made to look like grass. The walls are painted shades often greens to look like foliage. The bar is beautiful and the seating arrangements are different, there are sofas and tables Ave chairs. The table is set nicely.
The staff was fantastic! Most spoke French fluently and we had an interesting time working with the accent. Eventually an English waitress came to help. She explained the menu, which was odd but interesting, and hog our beverage order. We ordered mocktails and still water. They had lychee for the base, they were really good. Bread was brought out and we decided to order the three course lunch.
Next I paid the bill and went to wash up. The restrooms were extremely unusual, unreal! They are huge pods! You walk up a set of stairs and pick a pod, wow! There are socks set about also.
We left Sketch confused but satisfied. The next time we go to the UK we are definitely trying another room at Sketch. Such a fun, interesting facility. All in all it was a fantastic experience!
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have ever shared. Eclectic and extravagant interiors put a unique twist on the classic high tea formula. Hard to complain with unlimited tea with so much choice. Food was mostly excellent, and service was superb.
If visiting for high tea, make sure you are seriously hungry beforehand.
Sketch is great treat between friends, family or couples. Highly recommended. Always packed so make sure you book in advance.

Have been waiting to come here and it was worth it- the food was lush, the service was excellent and the restaurants themselves are indeed instagram-worthy with an ever changing gallery of art.
Great place to go for a cocktail before diner near Oxford Circus, don't forget to check out the most Instagramable toilet ever. The service is really smooth and friendly.
