Awesome afternoon tea experience. Drinks at the bar are fab
We were here for brunch, every thing was perfect but the only part that annoyed us is that they refused to let us bring the baby stroller in Despite that the space is huge and wasn t crowded but overall, the food was delicious, they were nice too and has allowed us to enter the stroller after a short negotiation with the manager
Second time I have been for brunch. The decor is phenomenal (was Christmas themed and clearly no expense spared) and the food was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Highly recommend the battered eggs.
Stopped in for a cocktail at the back bar one afternoon. The whole place is a funky art-like space worth seeing. Cocktails were good. This doesn t seem to be a place where you would have exceptional service but just enjoy the experience.
everything is pink here it is pretty expensive compare to the taste of food, but i think the price also includes posh ambience. how many restaurants canyou listen to violin performance thruout the meal? oh and the restroom!!!! they made me feel like i was on different planet
I loved this restaurant I think that the service was amazing and so was the food.
What a freaking joke. The breakfast is literally a joke. The food is absolutely horrid for the price. The decor is so embarrassing and the food quality is garbage.
Great value for money, great spot. Beautiful restaurant and food is great.
What a fantastic vibrant artistic venue with fine French cuisine. They constantly change the decor with some inspirational themes and displays.
The egg pod toilets photographed by many are often featured online. The bar could do with a refurb but drinks were good. The old host David was a charming hospitable man who makes you feel like a guest in his own home. During the day they have a classic English tea with cakes and macaroons set in the front of the venue. Delightful!
For the price, go to Claridge s for far far superior quality of food and tea. Still, a unique atmosphere that keeps it interesting.
We didn't take many pictures as we just wanted to enjoy our meal, but honestly the attention to detail was honestly just amazing from the food to the drinks as well as the venue. Thank you to the staff honestly can't wait to come back.
Lovely tea, service and food were impeccable. I loved the dresses the waitresses wear. Definitely worth the money if you're looking to splurge in a meal in London!
Beautiful and Very trendy place in London
Their dinner was An absolutely amazing! Very taste, Lovely Atmosphere, and the
Pink Room
Really beautiful rooms and tasty coctails! Artistic and inspiring place for drinks! I would say it is quite expensive (even for London) but worth trying it once!
Delightful place. Heavily reviewed hence no further introduction needed.
Poor service...orders where wrong and they served me the wrong tea and wrong food. I request gluten free they forgot my order whilst every1 else had theirs! This is one of the worst experiences. The place itself was amazing. Think i just experienced a bad day and my service inparticular was a mess when i refused to pay the "discretionary tip i was questioned as to why?
A real disappointment. Had a late lunch at the parlor room. Reserved ahead because of all the recommendations. Ordered a sandwich because of a real slim menu choice. Got half a pita bread with some olives and feta inside. Cost 11 pounds. Had a bunch of ketchup smeared on my plate. (Who asked for ketchup?). My husband ordered fish and chips for 18 pounds . Was like a market stand dish, full of oily food. A real disappointment as said above.
This is the place to eat once in your life in London. It is so unique with its pink atmosphere. The bathroom is a must see! You need to book to have a table there don't expect to have dinner walking in, it is always full. The food is delicious. Be careful with the hours as well because they don't serve tea after 5, but no dinner, and only bites at 5.30, so for people like us who are not much organised it can be tricky.
This was our first visit to the Sketch Restaurant to celebrate my wife s birthday and what a wonderful, truly unique dining experience we had that evening. We dined in the perfectly pink Gallery restaurant which looks as though it is designed for Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds by the Film Director Tim Burton. To add to this overall film theme, the Pod toilets, accessed through the ground floor double doors adjacent to the bar area, really do look like they are from a Sci Fi film set. The food and service are both exemplary as is the atmosphere; the time just flew by. Our thanks go to all the meticulous, pleasant staff whom will shall name check by department for due recognition. Coat Check: Magda, Reception: Superman Sean, Table Service: Ludovic, Clare, William & Kevin, Restaurant Manager: Simon and last, but by no means least, the very stylish and personable Ash who initially greeted us.
Really nice place and music. The decoration was so amazing. Every room has it's own music and style. You don't have to be dressed in a specific way. People who work there are very friendly and helpful. Prices are also good.
All style and no substance. Service was okay at best, waiter didn't have a good understanding of the lunch menu, which was also very random. We had the pitta sandwhich and it was luke warm - we weren't sure whether it was supposed to be like that or not, but it didn't taste great as a result. It was also TINY in comparison to other people's food portions. The coffees took 20 minutes and were cold by the time they arrived. It was a big shame, as first time there and was very disappointed!
Fine dining, friendly staff, contemporary atmosphere. Good for every occasion.
Price performance is definitely a five stars. I was very surprised that there was no extra charge for services.
The best part was the wine recommended. Don't follow the menu, just go for recommendations with wine list and you cannot go wrong.
Although the restaurant was limited to 90 mins table booking, you are offer to shift another room for finishing up the drinks.
Thank you to all the staff have served us. Love you all!
I visited for afternoon tea on the 23rd December with my husband and daughter. I had thought it would be a magical experience but sadly it couldn't have been more disappointing.
The food was bland and uninspiring. The 'Egg and Caviar' was split and very off putting. It took an age to arrive despite the fact the we were the 11.30am booking and only had a few other diners in the room when we arrived.
I have given two stars for the lovely dining room and snow on arrival but for the food and slow service, I couldn't give anything.
Sketch was on my London bucket list, but instead of paying a fortune for tea, I chose to just grab a cocktail. I stopped by at 11:00 pm on a Friday night when the restaurant is supposed to allow people only have cocktails to sit but when I arrived there were zero seats open in any of the restaurants or bars. This building is exquisite, truly a work of art. If nothing else I suggest stopping by in the evening for a cocktail so you can see the egg pod disco bathrooms, pink velvet fem room, and jungle bar. Already the building and menu is absolutely amazing, the sheer quantity of people makes it a little overwhelming and difficult to enjoy. If you want to do it right, make a reservation and splurge on your sketch experience.
I ve been to many other places for high tea in London and I don t recommend this one despite its popularity. The food falls way short of where it should be as did the service, especially considering the price. Most nice places would never bring the food while 2 of 3 customers arent at the table. I asked 3 staff to explain the food that was brought over and they all responded that they would tell our server to come over but he never did. Some of the sweets looked nice but nothing was great and the savory foods were nothing special. I also thought the women on staff in the toilet room who are required to dress in maid costumes was way too much and uncomfortable...
Loved the place, great atmosphere, good food and really good staff. Special thanks to our waitress Sarah who really took the time to explain the menu, made suggestions and made our stay even more enjoyable.
So disappointed. The food is tasteless and we had in fact an inedible dish. No worth the money at all. Maybe good for cocktails as the rooms are beautifully decorated.
Had a breakfast here today, the place is very different and unique, the service was really good and they making sure that there is always someone around you if you need something, the food came fast and was really good and delicious, I had egg benedict and my partner had a waffle, the egg was perfect and the waffle was really delicious and light and the chocolate sauce went really well with it, the only downside was coffee, we had the Hawaiian one which supposed to be special coffee but actually was okay nothing special.
What an amazing use of space. It s like walking into another world filled neon lights, pink seats and futuristic toilets. Definitely add this place to your brunch list next time your in London
What this place should actually be described as, is overpriced.
Ran by poorly articulated and forgetful staff who can t bring orders on time. They push certain items on the menu your way as if they have a basic meal plan they d rather you order.
Last but not least, terrible customer service with standard copy/paste replies.
Riding that reputation won t last forever.
I enjoyed the experience here. Wow their toilets is definitely the best figure.
Don't know where to start, this place is beautiful, awesome and different. Each room you go into is Insta friendly.
Now onto the more important stuff. From the moment I arrived and approached the doorman (who was very easy on the eye ), everyone was polite, super helpful, exectly what customer service is all about. The food was delicious and amazing. But without the service good food can be slightly tainted, this most definitely not the case at Sketch. The service was exemplary. Yes it is pricey but you pay for what you get.
Merry Christmas to everyone at Sketch that made it a memorable night for my friend and I.
I have lived in London 5 years and have never come to Sketch. What a regret! The place was absolutely spectacular. Incredible interior and design - artwork on the walls can be purchased to take home with you. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. We had the afternoon tea with champagne. Sandwiches and sweets were tasty and scones were perfectly baked. Our server, Chloe, was knowledgeable and made our visit even more memorable. We will definitely be back!
Lovely afternoon tea, with great service in a stunning setting (being there is even better than in photos because you re enveloped in pink which is lovely). Everything was delicious and a nice departure from the usual, like the first course of caviar with eggs and soldiers, and more interesting twists on sandwiches, like gougeres and a mini croque, and the scones are brought out mid-meal, warm.
Had an amazing dinner at Sketch tonight. Despite a rather difficult range of food allergies, the kitchen and team were hugely accomodating, and made sure that I had an especially delicious meal regardless!
Food was good but the decor was too much for me. It's a very busy place internally and is too bright and pink for my liking. The decor is the only thing throwing me off and stopping this from being 5* review as the rest of it was absolutely brilliant! Thank you to the staff here for giving me the VIP treatment!
The place was nicely lit and looked like a fun and quirky dining room with various lighting and patterns. Had the tasting menu and mum had the vegetarian tasting menu. They were both unexpectedly good as I did not have a good experience at More
Go for the decor- the Glade in particular is stunning. Definitely visit the bathrooms, they are an experience in themselves. The food is quite sub par though especially at the price, don't expect much.
Just wow.
Superlatives don't help here.
Food top notch.
Service was warm (especially the sommelier) and understated but spot on.
Not knowingly undersold. But worth every penny.
Lovely experience and a memorable meal. Great service, will definitely be back for more! :)
Interesting vibe and the toilet was very unique. Had a great brunch with my friends there.
I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The taste and quality of the food were extremely appalling. I had the raviolo for starter and the pasta dough was rolled out too thin to the point where it had mushy, unpleasant texture, struggled to maintain shape and was falling apart. Then, for main I had the lobster. As it is known, lobster naturally has a sweet taste and in this case was paired with baby carrots and cream which are both also naturally quite sweet ingredients there for the flavours of the entire dish were off-balance. Also, the cream made it a very heavy dish which later caused me to feel poorly. My friend also allowed me to try some of her truffle carbonara and a carbonara it was not. A true carbonara sauce is based on egg yolk and this was just another heavy plate of sloppy pasta with an excessive amount of cream slapped on top. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet my expectations or live up to it s expected standard.
2 star Michele restaurant upstairs, tea house, other diner and bars downstairs. The place is CRAZY. I loved it. Restaurant was the best with the quality of food and service. I wish I could go there everyday!! Cocktails are London prices, but they're great.
Rated as one of London's best restaurants and it shows. I've been 5 times and never been disappointed by the high level of service and food. The interior is something to behold and the art installations are always great.
Great experience inside the cocktail bars. They look very cool and obvs the toilets were the highlight joking. Although they did remind me of Godzilla, MSG scene. Very pricey.
If you re looking for a very special lunch in/around Oxford Street / Regent Street, then the Lecture Room and Library at Sketch is sublime.
Round tables, well spaced for privacy, are shrouded in natural light from the ornate glass ceiling centrepiece. The dishes are small and refined. Wine by the glass can be very expensive - better to go for a decent bottle.
The other eating spaces at Sketch are diverse and quirky and I love the ground floor bar. Highly recommended.
bill was wrong last time keven the manger is very rude he should not be a manger
Such a cool place! Beautiful interior and great service. Lovely for afternoon tea and snacks.
Upscale restaurant and bar which has various areas to booked independently. We went to the lecture room and Library and the service, food and decoration was up to a high standard. Tasting menu was delicious, very tasty, different and with the wine pairing a great experience. Staff it's really friendly, quick and helpful. Overall a great place to explore and try the other different areas!
We only called in here for a drink before dinner elsewhere. Whilst the space was very cool and the choice of drinks was great, the service was very, very slow and the drinks were very expensive. I'd like to try the restaurants for sure, but I wouldn't rush back to the bar.
Prices are bit toppy but appropriate for the area and type of establishment. Food is good but in my opinion most visit for the decor and to take a photo in the funky bathroom for the grams
AVOID this place.
Literally wish we had eaten anywhere else. Literally anywhere. The service was horrific, the menu overpriced, the food boring and poorly balanced. The highlight of our visit, the toilets are cool to look at (but not very clean).
Last weekend we made reservations for dinner at The Gallery to visit Sketch, and we were very happily seated. The food was very tasty but considering the prices we were not expecting anything less. That said the service was beyond phenomenal and the food presentation and decoration was an experience on its own. Yet considering the touristy rules of a dinner reservation counting a max of two hours we didn t consider it a 5. However we were lucky that to not be ushered out, and even had time to enjoy a cocktail and tea as our dessert after we finished our first two dishes. If anything should be a staple order, it would be the 3 b s. Without a doubt the best cocktail I ever had!
Lovely place to relax and enjoy the food..
Unique designs give unique experience
Funky, eclectic cocktail bar. Happy to accept a party of six people which Sexy Fish wasn't able to do (what's that all about, turning away paying customers? Six is hardly a huge number of people!).
Anyway, Sketch, lovely place, cosy, roomy (tables are nicely spaced apart), really great cocktails, but ve4y much on the expensive side. Bring plenty cash or ensure your credit card has plenty of credit on it!
Good ambience as always. However the portion sizes at the parlour for breakfast were very small. The pancackes were virtually inhaleable!
Iconic! Loved it from the minute we came inside. Very nice place for an afternoon tea. Decor is magical !
A great (and expensive) experience for afternoon tea. All of the different foods were beautiful and tasted great, service was quick and helpful for someone who hadn t had afternoon tea before.
Wide variety of teas to try and they make sure you always have what you want.
The bathroom area is really cool, there is a bar that opens up below it late afternoon so if you time it right you can probably sneak in there before it opens. When we left it was packed with a line to get in.
Amazing place. Great service . Ask for fred the head of wine for recommendation. He is the best. Thanks for the amazing day
Fabulous and unique. First time I came here was about ten years ago and it says a lot they re still around now. Food is delicious, great presentation and interior stands out. Love their spring flower decor best. It s an experience very time
Lovely breakfast in Glade room, staff were fantastic, couldn t fault them! A shame that the famous toilets weren t open until afternoon tea time/midday
Interesting venue, over priced even for central London. Toilets are a good feature.
Very special place amazing service very looked after by lovely Louise!definitely will be back
Had Dinner there, the 3 of us ladies got really bad food poisoning and the manager refused to investigate when we called. Never again we were celebrating reunion after many years and the experience destroyed our joy . If you want to enjoy your evening think twice if this how you would like to end your evening .plus very bad customer service from sketch side .
AVOID for groups of over 6 people. We went as a group of 4 to meet 3 friends, our friends arrived before us and ordered expensive drinks at the bar, when we arrived they wouldn t let us in as we would be 7, which the doorman informed us, isn t allowed. We suggested that our 3 teenage girls took one table and we took another. The doorman said do you mean hypothetically? I know you re a group of 7 so I m not going to let you in. No need to be so RUDE and I really don t understand why we couldn t have had two tables? RIDICULOUS
Excellent resto and worth seeing in person! We had the peppercorn steak and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and service was wonderful. Even when slow they apologised for any delays sincerely. It s worth it for a visit if only to enjoy the interior design.
Completely in love with Sketch. Each room is completely magical. We had lunch in The Glade and just, wow! The food was magnificent and the staff were just perfect!
I also got a sneak peak into The Parlour and cannot wait to come visit again to go in there. Absolute MUST when in London!!!
The decor is awesome. It's almost worth visiting just for that. I didn't eat here but I think the cocktails are pretty disappointing for the price though.
If you are going to splurge do it here! My husband and I will never forget our afternoon tea time at Sketch. It was simply out of a fairytale! Would not recommend bringing kids under 12. Very fancy and high class. Also expensive and they wouldn t appreciate the experience. Make sure to get reservations far enough in advance. Worth every penny! Also make sure to take a trip to the loo while here, you ll see what I mean!
Came here for afternoon tea at the Gallery to celebrate a birthday. I'd been once before but the day exceeded my already high expectations.
On offer are a fine selection of teas, the most enticing of cakes and a sumptuous assortment of finger sandwiches (the smoked salmon was my favourite). And that's all before the fruit scones with clotted cream and fig jam were brought to the table.
While the food was great, Sketch offers so much more. The art nouveau decor is swanky but has its quirks. Think pink sofas, luxurious domed ceilings, unique artworks which adorn the walls and charming crockery embellished with humble and heartening messages. Not to mention the striking sci-fi alien egg toilet pods from which you reemerge feeling reborn. All of these things make this place very Instaworthy.
Service was sleek and subtle (shout out to Oksana who was excellent) and overall we were very pleased we came and lived the Sketch experience.
Pretentious, expensive, slow service and reserved seating for groups of a minimum size. Only redeeming factor was the well made cocktails
Early mother's day gift for big momma. She loved it. Great afternoon tea, service, friendly staff and overall great time. Bring your credit card - you'll need it!!
My first high tea experience...in London no less. The food is impeccable, the decor is amazing, I've tried not to show too much in the pictures to as not spoil the surprise. The trip to the bathroom is baffling, in a good way. You really must see this place, and order the champagne for the pour alone. It was also my first try at caviar, what a place to try! Go head, give it a shot!
Love Sketch. The ambience is everything! I dined in the pink room which doubles as a gallery with artworks that make for a great conversation.
I enjoyed my meal. It costs a pretty penny but it is very well worth it
Saturday morning breakfast today and absolutely loved the place, atmosphere and food. Excellent service and look forward to going back many times in the future. Highly recommend
Instagrammable place with good tea selections. RSVP to choose a room.
Loved the earl grey tea and the "crackpot", the cheesecake mouse inside is good!
It's a bealtifull place with a very good food and funnys toilets
I visited this place after the pandemic. The service was really good and the stuff was very kind. The environment and design is beautiful.
The best fine dining in London, everything on the menu is fantastic even if you pop by for lunch it s quite reasonable price wise and still delicious!
The venue is artistic and I like how they add seasonal atmosphere. However, the food quality varies. My last visit was to Lecture Room and Library and tried the tasting menu. It was not impressive, and my husband and I left before the dessert. I would still recommend Sketch overall, as they are very unique place in London.
The decor is amazing and good to try once but the food and drink is very overpriced for what it is. We went after us just reopened on 25th August 2018. The sandwiches and cakes were not a fresh you would expect. It s trading on its name. Come on sketch up your game.
this bar is just freaking awesome. it s like another world!
Very good restaurant. Quirky and different. This place has many different rooms to eat in. We ate in the Glade. A beautiful forest floral room decorated in greens and purple. The menu is fine dining but there are some classic dishes with a twist. Pricey but you can see why. The quality of food, cooking, and service are outstanding. Toilets are very interesting. This is art gallery cross restaurant.
Spent my nye 2019/20 there with my best friend. Everyone was super cool and really friendly! Drinks are ok...I would love to visit this place again :)
Every single dish was spot on. Service was warm and friendly, lovely chilled atmosphere
I had my breakfast in sketch, I food was nice the size of the portions is really good. The interior design of the restaurant is very unique and attractive. The place very busy for dinner or lunch it s recommended to have a reservation before you go.
Was taken here as part of our 5 year anniversary celebrations by my partner. We had the most amazing, modern and unique afternoon tea. From caviar eggy solidders to a classic Victoria sponge cake, it had it all! Service was of course exceptional. Slightly pricy, but worth it! Book now!
Service was very slow. My Partner and I felt very rushed by the waiting staff and on top of that when asking to be topped up with the food tiny portions were brought out.
I do not recommend.
