We had Lunch in the Lecture Room and Library.



We were given a number small individual dishes for our first course and the main one of these (Tuna) was very nice however the others weren't so much as one consisted of a savoury pea ice cream that had already half melted by the time it arrived at the table and there was a sea urchin dish that was actually a little bit unpleasant (a lot of sloppy texture and too much quantity of it). Which was a little bit disappointing, the other dishes were passable however not exactly wow factor stuff, our Main course was excellent however.

I had the lamb and it was easily the best I've ever tasted, the couscous side was also a nice addition and the other person on my table opted for the vegetarian ravioli dish with truffle shavings and an egg which was beautifully presented and tasted very nice.

The dessert of the day was a strawberry pastry dish that was tasty but it felt a little bit basic for a 3* restaurant, it would have been nicer to have one or two options instead.

Coffee and petits fours (which were delicious) were presented and served very well at the end of our meal.

My mum and I came to Sketch for the afternoon high tea in the gallery. We could not have asked for a better experience. It felt like we were in a pink Wes Anderson wonderland, where the service was fantastic and the food was even better which included such a large range of tea's as well. A high tea experience that will be very hard to compete with. P.S don't leave without visiting the toilets as part of your experience!

I've eaten here three times in various different rooms. The food is exquisite and not too overpriced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As an art lover I cannot recommend this place enough :) Bonus points: use the space pod toilets!

Love this place. We found the place when we were planning for our vacation. Afternoon tea was super delicious. Tea was excellent, food items were yummy! Live strings while we were there. And of course the infamous toilet was a must visit after all the tea ;)

Came here for a pit stop while doing and early morning spree. Our bags and coats taken immediately on arrival, we enjoyed the comfort food in the grove with my teenage son. The Mandarin mimosa was amazing as was the steak. My son had the fish pie and raspberry bellini mocktail. The venue itself is stunning and the staff who are all dressed amazingling are very helpful.

I was taken for my birthday to the restaurant where we had the tasting menu.
Service was impeccable.
Food was worthy of the Michelin stars.

My partner booked a meal here to celebrate my birthday and I must say I was super excited as this was my first 3 star Michelin meal. We both went for the set menu and I must say there were some really delicious plates as well as disappointing ones. Overall the food didn t really live up to my expectations of a 3 Michelin star restaurant but the service was impeccable. One thing was that we had a bigger bill than we expected as some other tables drinks were mixed up with our table, we waited for the new bill and was given our drinks as free as an apology which was great.

Beautiful venue - probably one of the best looking places for afternoon tea in london. Good value for the amount of good you get, can choose from a large selection of teas. Really great non alcoholic options. Food was great some nice highlights - not spectacular and let down by the rubbish victoria sponge at the end! Service was a bit and miss at times

After seeing this restaurant on Instagram, my girlfriend and I decided to make a reservation here a couple of days before our stay in London. Once we read reviews off here, we decided to go with Afternoon Tea at the Gallery.

Visually, the space is beautiful. Upon entering, it s dark, quiet, and you d never guess that the inside of this restaurant has whimsical themed rooms inside of it. Inside the Gallery, the walls are full of art, placed upon pink walls. Pretty much everything in the room was pink, but it wasn t anything overwhelming. The waiters and waitresses were dressed in suits and costumes while a couple of violinists played every few minutes. Of course, you d have to visit the washroom - it ll likely be the most interesting one you ll ever visit. The ambiance of the restaurant was busy, but enjoyable.

In terms of the food, it was pretty decent. We went with the cheapest option possible, giving us endless amounts of tea. We both opted for matcha and chai tea, which you can t go wrong with. What I didn t know is that if you enjoyed any of the cakes or sandwiches, you could ask for more at no cost. I was delighted to find this out because I assumed that I d only be given the portions given initially! When looking at photos of the food from reviews, I thought I would be hungry leaving, due to the portion sizing. I can tell you that I left full, and satisfied.

If you re interested in eating at Sketch, I would definitely recommended having Afternoon Tea at The Gallery. If you end up doing so, make sure you take many photos! I m sure you ll never see anything like it again.

Service was on point. Where it came short was on the food. It was plain mini sandwiches and a couple of luxury foods (e.g. caviar). For the price I expected the food to be top notch. Was good but not great. The service was amazing though!

Definitely nice experience and recommended. We've been in different rooms of Sketch and it was stunning, plenty of details that it used to change often. Literally an innovative place where to get inspiration of. Lounge, clubbing, restaurant, tapas halls: insane. Can't complain about service and food, you are in Oxford district, high level kindness and customer is the first. Little recommendation: go to the toilet.

Gallery - Excellent people watching with high quality food - albeit slightly overpriced - do not miss the instagrammable loo

Went years ago and absolutely loved it. Went again this September 2019 and just had the most fantastic time. Food was great we enjoyed it so much!
The man at front of house with 3 kids didn't get his name was incredibly friendly, helpful and made our visit just so much more pleasant, a really lovely person.
Looking forward to going back again soon!

Cocktails there are far too expensive but this place is amazing. It worth to pay a visit, even if it's only to go to the loo, which are the craziest I've ever been to.

What a place! Sketch has everything you could ask for under the same roof, with several options of rooms where to enjoy the many treats to one's senses this place offers you. From a chilled out bar to a 2-star Michelin restaurant, including the most mind-blowing toilets you'll find in town, every detail in the food, drinks and decoration of this place is meant to delight even the most demanding of customers. Quite the experience!

great drinks and cuisine. we didn't do the tea, just lunch in separate "Alice in wonderland"-style bar/dining room. a bit pricey, but an experience nonetheless. excellent service.

Food is ok but not great. Service is pretty avaerage considering the prices they charge. And rather annoyingly they put an automatic discretionary . Service charge of 12.5% on the bill. Decor is tired and all feels a bit commercial. Wouldn t recommend it.

Great late night spot, my favourite is the rear bar and the toilets...it'll make u feel like you're in Star Trek!

Sketch is the kinda place you go for an occasion, at least it was for me. Invited by a friend on Sunday we had an afternoon tea set menu. Portions are not huge but we left stuffed. Tea selection is wide and you can change on the go and try them all. Servicde is attentive. We stayed in the Tea room (pink one). It felt like bein in Alice in Wonderland. My friend paid the bill and didnt wanna tell me how much it was but i can imagine it wasnt cheap.

This is an upscale restaurant and pricey. I'm not a fan of afternoon tea themed foods or desserts so the food wasn't enjoyable for me. However, it was a great and unique experience. I went with my girlfriend upon recommendations from friends.

The teas were beautiful, I recommend vanilla bean black tea.

Inside, the design and architecture is so unique and beautiful. It's quite a romantic place to take your partner.

The service was awesome and there are unlimited tea refills and choices.

Come here for an afternoon tea. You won t regret it. 4 star for the price, but if you sont mind, it s ok ;)

- Excellent creativity.
- Wonderful use of contemporary style with a modernism twist (if at risk of becoming dated too quickly).
- I enjoyed the excessive use of playfulness.
- Staff could be a little better trained.
- Food is good but limited if you can't eat specific foods.
- Presentation is excellent, however, I think the focus on showy-ness takes away from the real enjoyment of the dishes.
- Too many Instagramers
- I'd go for the cocktails. Otherwise feels like a fine dining tourist experience parading as an immersive artistic experience.

Came to celebrate a friends birthday and had a wonderful afternoon. Will be bringing mother back for the experience. Be prepared it's not cheap though!

Beautiful interiors, terrible food. Every single item in the afternoon tea set felt like it had been stale and left there for days. Go for the theatrics and design, not for the food.

Enjoyed a Great breakfast and in a wonderful setting. Ps. The loo is epic.

Fun experience but overpriced for afternoon tea A$400 and there are so many people filming you for their insta accounts which is annoying.

Sketch isn't somewhere you go for the food (mediocre) or the service (patchy, sullen). It's somewhere you go for the Instagram-worthy photos. It does look quite cool, so as long as you're happy paying a premium price for fun instagram photos this is the place for you. If you're looking for a meal, don't eat here.

Stunning decoration and great service. But the prices are way too high. Food is good, but far from being exceptionnal.

I had terrible experiences in Sketch. I asked for the tea, but no one gave me. And I haven't finished my meal; the waitress took it away from me. Plus, that afternoon is not as good as its high price.

Great bar with fantastic atmosphere. So many different rooms , a tea area, a resteraunts , cocktail lounge. It's great place to just sit , chill and socialize. Absolutely reccomend this place.

Visited the "Parlour at Sketch", using Codeapp earlier this evening.

Good drinks menu; nice house cocktails, and decent selection of spirits on offer. Very poor service from the hostess and waiter; unfriendly, inattentive, inaccurate and painfully slow. The room had funky decor but no ambience. The only saving grace were the good drinks and the helpful and friendly door manager.

Industry people using codeapp, I wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to pop into this one...

The restaurant is amazing, we were assigned seats at our designated time and we're treated well.. To begin with. Over the course of the night our waiters changed causing us to wait over and hour to order desserts. We started to get impatient and had to ask for service. Not something I expected I had to do in a 2 Michelin Star restaurant. The food was absolutely delightful so thank you to the amazing chefs! However the service could use a little work.

Awesome place ... Make no mistake about this.. this is certainly one of the best places to visit in London. Everyone has been talking about the toilets for what seems like hundreds of years, before insta even existed. And now you use the toilets and and you have to push past the people using insta and selfies to photo them.. come on!!!

The staff are quirky, very friendly, and the restaurants and the menu selection are amazing. In numerology number 9 is mystical fundamentally ... And this restaurant is very mystical. Sketch is a numerology 9 literally as is its address ...

It's almost film like and leaves a lasting impression. If you haven't been there before I thoroughly recommend you try it. You will be impressed.

Quirky, aesthetically wonderful place to enjoy afternoon tea. The attention to detail was unprecedented: in the wait staff, decor, and food. Though slightly overpriced in terms of food quality, the price tag speaks more of the rare and enchanting atmosphere and experience.

It's a great place and hugely entertaining although the bar staff don't necessarily know any drinks from off menu. Shame.

Really cool looking place, nice variety of themes for different rooms, however, staff were not friendly and the drinks were overpriced considering how slow the service was & how ordinary the drinks tasted.
I'd recommend going there for 20 mins to take pictures and look around but not for the actual food or drink.

Well designed restaurant, with incredibly beautiful and eclectic spaces. I love the thought and details given to each dining area. I had dinner in the gallery, and loved the soft pink and copper aesthetic. The cheese board starter was delicious and offered a good assortment. I had a vegetarian pasta dish with carrot reduction sauce as a main and was not impressed. It was far too sweet and did not offer a great flavour. Service was quite lacking. We asked for the wine list partway through our meal and it never arrived. In another moment, I asked for black pepper and it never transpired. When I asked a server to describe one of the cheeses she was totally lost.

Service was out of this world!
Food was great too.
It's not the most quiet and private restaurant, a lot of walking going on.
But definitely worth a visit.

I love sketch!! It is my No1 place to go when my mood is down

I went here with my Mum for afternoon tea because I thought my Mum would like it, she did, and I loved it too. As many refills as you like of tea and tasty treats.

It s okay... I went to the enchanted forest room and it could have been nicer to be honest. It wasn t very foresty and the food was great but very expensive. The whole vibe is so fancy, so I felt a bit uncomfortable sometimes especially when the sommelier came around when we picked up the wine menu. It s okay, one of those things that you do once and never do again.

I've heard great things, but sketch was amazing. Sketch was very unique and seemed as a multiple fusion type restaurant. We sat in the Gallery (Pink Room) and was greeted right away by our sommelier. He recommended drinks (which were amazing) and we ordered our meals which was also very good. The loo was also a very unique experience, so I definitely recommend going to the loo!

Amazing food and service. Can't fault Sketch been coming here for years.

Beautiful. Not a place to miss when in London. The food did not blow me away but the restaurant did - and as strangely as this sounds, the toilets too. Google this place and you'll understand why. Or even better, go there and be amazed.

Sketch is a complete afternoon tea experience. I felt as though we stepped into a modern Alice and Wonderland.

The decor is bright and quirky. The bathrooms are something that everyone should experience, my jaw dropped when I stepped inside.

The food was all new to me, but displayed so elegantly I had to try everything!

By the end of the four-course meal, we were stuffed! My favorite dish was the scones and strawberry cake at the end!

All of the staff is cheerful and knowledgeable, they are happy to show you all of the different tea blends before choosing.

This is a once and a lifetime experience I suggest for anyone looking to enjoy a London afternoon tea!

Other than the really awesome decor and the fun bathroom id say DO NOT book dinner here. At most get a drink, see the bathroom take a picture and get out. we booked about 1 month in advance for a group of 7 people and they would not sit us together but they would sit a group of 8 people. You had the table for two hours total but it took more than 1.5 hours to receive the food. Took on average 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. Many other things were so off I could list but overall the prices are ridiculously high to snap a photo for IG. Just get a drink and get out.

Go to Bob Bob Ricard for a phenomenal dinner experience in London!

We had a great tea master. Service is impeccable. The sandwiches were good, as well as the deserts.The last cake was rather dry.

Too cool of a place not to visit for a cocktail. Drinks were great but the atmosphere and decor was on another level!

I love this place! The decor and service is amazing. Normally I rate a restaurant primarily for the food. Their food is really good. But the decor is something to behold!

Been coming here for decades and the place never disappoints! Get design and staff are always lovely just the drinks need an improvement from where they were!

Nice place for breakfast! All interior are cool and colourful. The quality of food is really high here and personal service is excellent. However don't come here if you hate pink because the colour pink is almost everywhere inside this cosy restaurant. Also all the chairs and sofa are very comfortable as well.

The best cafeteria I've been in London! It was an experience! Definatly worth a visit. The prices was normal.

The truffle pasta is great the burrata is fantastic the service was very professional and understanding we initially order shrimp salad that we didn t like and they very much canceled it and brought a complementary burrata, on the side we ordered creamy spinach and french fries everything was great

Very interesting place, kinda contemporary, kinda alternative, definitely unique. The food was good and came pretty quickly. Try the squid ink sandwiches (?). The bathrooms are super cool/weird/different (make sure you go, if you go there). The pink room area is always in high demand and generally needs reservations months in advanced so be wary if you want to go there...

Dining at the lecture room was a pleasant experience. The food had some interesting combinations and whilst we didn't take very well to some of the plates, we tucked in and enjoyed most of the others. This should come as no surprise as we all have different palates, it is very likely that the dishes we didn't enjoy so much would be thoroughly enjoyed by others. Whilst I was thinking whether to give this dining room a 5 or a star review, I soon decided on a 5 due to the warm, unique and rich surrounds, pleasant ambience and most of all, the passionate, attentive and friendly staff that went out of their way to ensure the best experience possible.

I love this place! The whole setup is an artistic piece. Each room has a theme, with the bathroom especially delightful with its otherworldly feel. The afternoon tea is amazing, with the cakes and pastries a mix of different things for different people. Plus, the food and teas are all refillable! The customer service is excellent and I love their outfits, which range deliberately from the mundane to the elaborate and classy. I highly recommend sketch to try this quintessentially British tradition.

I was there on a Tuesday night, 10pm. The food was alright, wine was great and the restaurant goers hilarious. I have been sat next to a couple who spent their whole dinner taking photos. While I expected some photos taken in Sketch because it is knows for its insta presence, I did not expect this. Knocked one star off because we had to pour our wine ourselves.

I haven't been to the restaurant in a while but I remember really loving the food. I used to bring people there all the time at one point! Now i'm in a phase where I go for the lounge bars and nibbles. There are 4 lounge bars at Sketch each with its own cache and decor. I like the jungle bar the most and the cocktails are delicious. Highly recommend it!

Nice place where to take a picture in the toilet. If you life is posting pictures o Instagram, this is your place. For The rest, it does not impressed. I Prefer hakkasan, it is just a few street far.
