The food tastes like people only come here to make a picture of the famous toilets. We had brunch at the Glade, the food was very bland. The service terrible, our drinks arrived half way through our starters. The mains didn't arrive at the same time with at least five minutes in between. Staff was not very friendly or apologetic. Would not advice going here for brunch, the only plus is the decor.

Amazing place, really well decorated and fun for a visit. Prices are too high for the quality of food and service. I had cream tea and had to spread jam and clotted cream with a spoon as they didn't provide me with a knife. For how much More

Good desserts, but I expected more from a 3 Michelin star restaurant

i went expecting just a nice view but when i cross the room i saw a happy couple and that melted my heart, a family enjoying the tea. it is a very nice place to enjoy more than a coffee cup and a piece of cake. a month ago this became mi fav place to dinner

Artsy vibe. Expensive cocktails. So so service. The secret was nice but forgot like everything and we waited longer than we should have considering there wasn't anyone really in the bar. The place itself though art deco wise is absolutely worth trying again and again until one of your servers gets it right. Oh also, dress nice. I looked like a dang tourist going in there I had no clue it was so fancy...i wonder if thats why she took forever lol oh well.

Celebrated my cousins 21st here and it didn t disappoint. Beautiful aesthetic and absolutely love the different themes in each room. Even the bathrooms are unreal! Next time I m in London I ll return.

I love the decor and ambience of Sketch, it s one of my favourite places in London but I was hugely put off by the rudeness of some staff.

Warm welcome upon arrival but after entering the bar it quickly went down hill. Bar staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves to notice we had arrived and when supplied with menus, there were no menus inside.

There was a complete lack of focus to customers and the waitresses attitude and body language was extremely unprofessional and rude. It is not what I was expecting from a place such as this.

Amazing decoration and very good food. I have tried the Gallery (the pink room) for afternoon tea and for dinner and also the Lecture Room (2 Michelin starred restaurant) for dinner. I have had a lovely time there in each of those times.

More than a restaurant... this is an amazing experience

Have been wanting to visit Sketch for years, and today was the day! Afternoon tea in the Gallery was perfect from start to finish. There was a great tea selection and the food was beyond! Don t be scared to ask for more! I personally loved the savory bits the most! But the sweets were delish as well. Don t leave till you visit the bathroom, trust me on this!

I will have to start with saying that it was totally not cool(!) to give our table such very short limited time for the Brunch. After paying SO MUCH (75Pound).... it felt really not ok..... With that being said, I still do Highly recommend the breakfast / brunch on the weekends at the glade (the cool Alice in wonderland space) and also the bar and restaurant for a night out. The entire staff are very friendly. The toilets are just like they all say! And love the hole artistic vibe and style. Expansive!!! but in my opinion worth the experience.

I want to live here. Everyone is super kind, food is fabulous, expensive yes, but you should know that going in. Just a stunning evening. They able to accommodate my gluten allergy fully. Cocktails were done so well. The only weird part was having a man (struggle to) take our order and then not be a part of anything else i.e. bringing the food - just ordering. Would have preferred one of the women as they were super switched on and helpful.

Excepptionally attentive, informative, and polite staff. Very welcoming and the food was full flavors, variety, and most of all tasty. This might sound weird but you should go see the restrooms, they are from another planet. Thank you sketch for the unforgettable lovely night. It was a blast.

Astonishingly cool venue and although very self-aware of that fact, there's nowhere else like it

I've been to this restaurant multiple times over the span of my 4 months. The food, the wine selection, the staff and the decor are beyond expectations. I would definitely recommend this place to everybody!

Sketch has been around for years, but is still a hidden gem. From the street you would never be able to tell the delights that await inside. Various rooms with different offerings. From The Parlour for cocktails or a meeting place for coffee, The Gallery for afternoon tea or upstairs for Michelin star dining. Everyone knows if you visit Sketch, take your camera to the restroom! The individual pod style toilets with the various floral installation and mirrors invites you to take lots of photographs x

A truly amazing experience with top quality service & food!

Extremely delighted with this eccentric, one-of-a-kind restaurant-lounge, whose groovy interior design is divine.
We only went there for drinks, which weren t too costly. Enjoyed the dim lights and the DJ. Can t wait to be back for a sweet meal at the restaurant.

It's pretty fun. Afternoon tea is much better than dinner.

Wonderful foodie experience in a modern venue. The only downside was the staff was really too attentive. It was almost annoying. You'd have someone fill the water glass for one person and another come back in 2 minutes to fill another water glass. They asked us for our dinner order a few times when we were not ready yet and dessert at least 2 times when one of the guests wasn't at the table to have viewed the menu. If the restaurant were packed, I understand, but they weren't, plenty of open tables. Perhaps the staff was bored? But the food was amazing.

Food and service could be improved, but a fun place to visit, with good ambiance, decor and music.

Trendy, surrealistic french/English fusion restaurant ! Afternoon tea was an experience but very pricey ! Tea flavours are excellent and deco state of the Art!

There are 3 different rooms with totally different decoration (in one of them a few violinists were playing)! We at at Parlour room which is more relaxed and feels a bit more like a cool bar! Decoration and vibe are super cool (if you like neons)! The food was good and original!

Highlights were:
- cod with mash dish, very very tasty!
- patatas (potatoes) bravas with tuna

The shop is fun, service is helpful and the food is delicious.

Lovely restaurant, the restaurant's restrooms are out of this world and the staff are lovely. However, the food wasn't that great, for a requested well cooked steak - it just wasn't well done and the fries were super salty. But I will go back again for the ambiance and maybe chose different food on the menu.

It is wonderful restaruant, great service. They gave me a birthday cake at the end, all the food in tasting menu are dilicious. You can feel several flavor by one dish. Recommend.

Super funky and trendy vibe. Drinks were amazing and the atmosphere is something you have to see for yoursef. Go see Henock at The Parlor, his personality is booming!

The afternoon tea is delicious and entertaining - highly recommend!

My wife and I were visiting London and were advised by a friend that we had to have afternoon tea at Sketch. We made a reservation a few days in advance and were not disappointed when we arrived. We were shown to our seats in the basement gallery room and offered a drink, I enjoyed a Matcha Bellini and it was a wonderful way to start the sketch experience! Our first food offering was a small plate with slices of toast, a small serving of caviar and a ceramic egg with some kind of yummy cheese, my wife did not want the caviar and instead was offered a veggie version. Next we were brought a 3 tiered tray of yummies, one tier of lovely finger sandwiches and 2 tiers of sweets, they were all quite delicious! They give you the option to order extra helpings of the food but be careful because there is plenty more to come! Next we were offered a choice of scones, with or without raisons, these were accompanied with wonderful clotted cream and 3 choices of jam. After the scones were were offered Victorian Sponge cake and Banana Toffee cake, the sponge cake was the winner as far as I was concerned. We enjoyed 4 or 5 pots of different tea and they were all very nice. Overall it was a wonderful experience, the ambiance was very nice, the servers were very friendly and helpful. As wonderful as it was I would say it was a bit of a novelty, something that would be nice to do once a year or so. Be prepared to pay for the experience, this was not an inexpensive meal but to do it every once in a while it is well worth it. After a few pots of tea you will of course have to visit the toilet which are quite memorable at Sketch, they look like giant eggs or pods, I called them Disco Poo Pods for obvious reason, well obvious to me anyway. All I can say is that Mork from Ork would feel at home sitting on one of the poo pod thrones!

We wanted reservations for the parlor (pink) however it is most demanded out of the three options and hence got booked. However we visited the place and made booking for the rainforest theme. All three places are magical and instagrammable!
Food- lovely! There is a fixed menu however you can select the dishes in each course. Must visit!

Super nice Restaurant/Bar with a very friendly service and great variety of food and drinks. The icing on the cake is the design of the different rooms with each having its own personality. Definitely my favorite tea and coffee place as well as option for dining.

Really cool concept. It s like dining in a Wes Anderson movie. Basically an Instagrammer s wet dream. Lots of different rooms/bars all themed differently with different cocktail menus at each.

Ate at The Gallery which was a millennial pink room tastefully decorated and surrounded by some interesting and funny art works. The food was delicious and theatrical (pot plant cocktails, dry ice, smoke etc).

Prices are high but that is to be expected in the area and the quality of the establishment. Well worth a visit! Definitely try and visit all the bars in there if your wallet is up for it.

Don t forget to use the pod bathroom!

I went to the gallery for afternoon tea, and if you can you must try it, the pictures don't do it justice.
The room is beautifully designed and the vibe of the place, with the live music, makes it so much more than just an afternoon tea. The wait staff and hosts are so professional and work together in such a seamless way to continuously move you to the next part of your afternoon food.
There is a huge amount of food to try, and none stop tea (and Champaign if you'd like) throughout the meal. They will also cater to any dietary requirements you have if you leave a note when booking.

The service is over the top, absolutely elegant and very delicious food, very expensive, veryyy, so come prepare to leave your bank here.

Service a bit disorganized, but extremely friendly. Food all right.

You pay for the experience rather than the food. I am gluten free and the options for afternoon tea weren t great (the gluten free bread was bitter and dry). The rest of my family enjoyed the regular food though. You definitely need a sweet tooth for all the little cakes as there aren t a lot of savoury foods. The service was great however and the atmosphere was beautiful.

It's a very unique place! Definitely worth going for the afternoon tea, it's a very special experience. Best to go when you have plenty of time to enjoy it, as it very much is a multi-hour affair, but that's all part of the fun. You have to deal with a lot of Instagrammers getting their fix, particularly if you need the toilet - be prepared to run the gauntlet of posing selfie-takers just to get into one of the egg-shaped cubicles. Obviously not a cheap place, but worth it as a one off when you want to have a special afternoon. Also, the food is delicious!

The place is an absolute beauty, good service, and excellent food. Worth the 20-minute wait.

On planning my visit to London, I knew that a meal at Sketch was high on my list. The only reservation available for my dates in town was breakfast. But given that Sketch is on several "best breakfast in London" lists, I thought I was in the clear. Unfortunately, breakfast was quite a disappointment and did not live up to the hype that I've been hearing about this trendy spot. The breakfast menu is extremely limited, with only a handful of oltions--almost all of which are eggs. The Parlour space was fabulously decorated, but that was all we were able to see at this time of day as the rest of the rooms were blocked off. The scrambled eggs with mushrooms we're good, and the pancake was downright disappointing. Hoping to return for dinner to see if Sketch is really worth the positive reviews!

Went to the Galley for dinner. I'm giving the interior and the dessert 5-stars rating! The all-time famous place for a fancy afternoon tea, but compromising with work schedule and all, eventually have to come for dinner. Everything is in pink !!! What's a more girly place to go ;) definitely recommend for the girls' talk. Food presentations were great and certainly food doesn't disappoint as well.

Worth of visiting If you re into design. Great interior, cute bathroom and nice atmosphere. I only had a steak which was ok.

Good food, nice location but the service was very disappointing this time. The waiter who was responsible for our table was unfriendly and not very competent. Luckily all the rest of the staff was very friendly - That s why I still give 3 stars for this bad experience.

We went for my girlfriend's birthday in the fine-dining restaurant. The Reading Room has a very special atmosphere, perfect to celebrate a special occasion.
We got the crab/scallop starter, duck as a main course and the chocolate souffle as dessert. Both starter and dessert are large enough portion that can be shared. The starter was interesting, especially the scallop was mind-blowing. The duck was very tasty and amazingly soft, but I thought that it lacked a wow factor. The chocolate souffle didn't seem very special in our opinion. Overall a fine dining experience but quite expensive. I would go back but to try a different room.

It had been two years or so since I visited Sketch and once again it was completely different. This time with dusty pink interior, I got the feeling like I was stuck in the 1960 s- all I needed now was big hair and a classic pin-up dress to match.
Opening the menu, I was startled to see paper cutlery pop up, which was pretty cool! As a consumer, I felt like I was gaining an experience rather than just having dinner, I like that it has a museum feel rather that a restaurant.
To begin, I had thinly sliced tuna with Avocado, which was absolutely divine! By now, you should know that I am in love with Sashimi! This was accompanied by a glass of white wine- Pinot to be precise, although I did move onto cocktails in the latter, which is always a bad idea. (Bouji Tip: Never mix cocktails and fish based dishes!) British designer David Shirley designed the plates and his artwork can be seen throughout the restaurant- classic, monochrome, but childlike which is a great conversation starter.
For dessert, I chose Malabar, which has to be the best dessert that I have tried in a long while. I will definitely be back solely to have dessert and cocktails as this was just what my taste buds required; Lemon foam, bubble gum ice-cream, Panna cotta, Orange blossom and strawberry marshmallows. I felt like a little child again
Oh and you must visit the toilets, which was the highlight of my night! Although that sounds rather weird, which it was, but the toilets are designed into alien egg spaceship capsules. Once inside, something strange happens, you can hear the sound of birds tweeting as you pee. How thoughtful of Sketch!
I never noticed at the beginning but there is actually hopscotch on the floor at the entrance of Sketch. I don t know what possessed me but I actually attempted to hopscotch on the way out! Live a little. Carpe Diem!

I ve been here with my family and I was quite disappointed. Starters we re quite cold and not tasty at all. For the fillet I asked a medium-rare and was way over cooked. Fish was alright and tartare too salty.
Service was quite good even though I asked 3 times for bread and waited 20 min for it.

Great ambience, good service but average food. Came here for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were good but the rest were simply average. There is a wide selection of tea and you can try all you want. The sponge cake at the end was dry.

Had afternoon tea here with my wife and kids. It has great atmosphere, interesting artwork, great food and tea. Also a very interesting restroom for photo opportunity.
The wait staff entertained the children and they left with the Sketch teddy bear.
A great experience overall for a non traditional afternoon tea.

The worst service, rudest waiters ever in London. They interrupted our words, pushed chairs before we sitting down and collided our knee, the tall and brown skin waiter very harshly taken the top of a birthday cake from my friend who was celebrating birthday, even we said we just want to take a picture with the birthday cake here.

The staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. Our waiter Rosario made our dinner and experience a very special one. I ordered the chicken on the menu and the food is from another world. Onion rings best I ever had!n mac and cheese with truffles wow woow wooow

I'd been thinking about going here for a long time. I went to the glade a couple of years ago and it was pretty good, but what I really wanted to try was the lecture room and library. So when they said they had an offer on I jumped at it.

It was so worth the wait and the money.

The food was fantastic but the real highlight was the service. The team are superb and absolute masters of their craft. They were friendly without being overbearing, they were professional and super-efficient. They knew when to chat and when to hold back and were invisible at all the right intimate moments. They were helpful and kind and generous. I can't praise them highly enough.

The decor was also really great, I was expecting lots of wood paneling and books but it was a mix of sort of Japanese and middle-eastern themes, comfortable, fun and interesting.

I'm very grateful to this restaurant for giving us such a special experience, we will definitely be back in the future.

Ridiculous decor and overpriced unexceptional food - great dj though

This place was pretty much a highlight of my trip to London. I loved it here, and ironically enough did not take too many photos. I was too distracted by the great food. From white asparagus ice cream, olive oil scones, to yuzu mochi (yes quite tame in comparison) I found that this was my most memorable meal during my time in London. If I come back, I will definitely take the time to come here.

Weird, fantastic, yet impersonally cool work of art in which one can also drink. I'd sooner take acquaintances here than friends, for the same reason that you'd never let an acquaintance see you in a compromising position.

I ordered Oysters and the sirloin steak, very underwhelming experience, very disappointing. Oysters were very small and not good quality for the price.

My steak was ordered medium rare but came well done and dry, got told that getting another one would take very long. Not very serviceminded. My friend who ordered the vegetarian dishes, was also left disappointed as everything was bland and tasteless. Would not go back. Not worth the price at all.

Unusual place, all pink. Good afternoon tea but not the best for me. In any case you cannot give less than 4 stars, very polite staff.

Been visiting here since it opened around 15 years back, they have consistently updated the venue including decor (but kept the best bits like the egg shape toilets and circle bar!), music policy and menus. A great place to impress clients or friends from out of town. Always provides that 'wow' factor! While many other west end venues have closed or rebranded Sketch seems to have stood the test of time and I really hope it continues to provide a great service going forward. Don't get too excited if your napkin has a phone number scribbled down on it ;)

Complained about finding hairs in the food and was told by the rude manager that we were clearly making it up (even though we had already paid and were not looking for a discount). Diabolical service and below standard food. Pretentious, rude staff who think they're a cut above the rest. Probably the worst service ever, will never go there again and neither will my friends. Will happily spend my money elsewhere!

Really nice place and music. The decoration was so amazing. Every room has it's own music and style. You don't have to be dressed in a specific way. People who work there are very friendly and helpful. Prices are also good.

Super cute and very instagram worthy pics! You can repeat as many desserts and sandwiches as you want. Our waitress was friendly but she was not that great at checking in on us. We needed refills and were ready for our next dish but it would take like 25min before she would come EVERY TIME. The bathroom is cute and unique. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time. it s pricey and they sneaked in a donation on our behalf without even telling us. I mean I m glad I went but I m ok with not going ever again.

We really enjoyed sketch - incredible interiors, lovely drinks and nice staff. But, it was pretty understaffed when we went and there were long waits between getting served.

Very pricey for afternoon tea. Extremely small sandwich serving considering price. Fun experience with the legendary toilets and decor but otherwise very poor value for money. Service ok but difficult to understand, and mistakes made, due to the very heavy foreign accents of the waiters. No, I'm not being racist, I've been happily served at other hotels by non-UK staff...

Decent food but a bit limited in options for afternoon tea given the price
