I went to The Glade at Sketch for a birthday lunch with my family and I ve got to say, I was so disappointed. The food was not great, considering how much is charged, none of us were particularly happy with our mains and the pistachio parfait dessert was frankly weird - the jelly was just tasteless and unnecessary! The Glade itself was pretty, but the table layout is so odd, it actually makes it uncomfortable to sit and dine there, the seats are too low for comfort. The decor is amazing, but the pictures make it look a lot grander than it actually is, which was a shame. The famed eggloo toilets are dirty and surprisingly grimy - you feel like you re in a portaloo! Overall, it was overpriced, underwhelming and the service, although decent, was too intense. The waitress came over every 2 minutes to top up our water and distracted us from our conversation. I wouldn t go back.

If Alice In Wonderland had a swanky lounge, Sketch would be it. Ironically, the bathrooms were easily the coolest part. You can t say that about many places. Drinks were fantastic, but a bit pricey. A must-do in London.

Quirky yet chic, Sketch offers a pretty unique experience. We had considered going for tea, but weren't particularly hungry when we got there. If you pass through the dining room, you reach a bar that looks very much like a flying saucer. The drinks were awesome, and be sure not to miss the egg/pod bathrooms just above it. It may seem pricey to some, but the drinks and environment were well worth it for us!

My college aged daughter made reservations for dinner for 4. Waiting area was tiny. Must check in coats and bags. Bag lady was friendly but slow. Ambience, bathrooms, and menu are the best features of this place. The art is childlike from a kindergarten project and the waiters were annoying. The food was the worst part of the experience. Extremely overpriced food, certainly not worth the cost. Cost is astronomical and the food is highly forgettable. I had vegetarian option, the onion ravioli. It tasted as bad as it sounds. Sorry, nothing redeeming about the food. They even charged us for table bread and butter.

Fabulous visit to Sketch. I took my girlfriend here for our first anniversary together and we weren't disappointed. Was it pricey?... Yes, but was it worth it?... Yes. The quality of the service, the food and the atmosphere make this a great place to go for a special occasion. My GF loves pink and she was in awe of the place!

Use to go there 3/4 times a week for either food/drinks and use to be my favourite place to go to but not anymore - staff are often not nice, always impossible to walk in even daytime during the week for a drink. I have stopped going there and so did my friends which is too bad for them cause we use to be very good customers.

What a magnificent building! The deco is eclectic and considered. Even thought the deco is entirely mismatched there's a certain air of sophistication. . Beautiful and intriguing art work scattered all over the place including the walls. Great for lunches, meetings, tea and fabulous cakes. Love it!

Amazing space with lots and lots of eye candy. Terrific menu and food is delicious. The wizards at the bar(s) create fabulous concoctions surely to delight you, and the wine list should provide most people with what they desire. The service is outstanding even if slightly tinged with pretention (and what's up with those "uniforms?"). Ultimately worth the price. Spend an evening here and have some fun!

I still like this place. The toilets keep impressing me. It's an expensive place. But not more than it is still affordable. We had finger sandwiches and scones. Very delicious and beautifully arranged. The interior of the cafe is very nice.
I have not yet tried the restaurant downstairs. But it looks very beautiful.

Exceptional food and service. The ambiance is classy, timeless, cozy. Creative and surprising. Knowledgeable staff and especially the lady sommelier. The French maitre D is a bit stuffy though.

Unfortunately compared to a couple of years ago they no longer have a great set menu lunch which cost exactly half (60 GBP) what it costs today (120) and included two glasses of wine.

Amazing wine list though the markup was quite high. A bottle of Vajra 'Petracine' Langhe Riesling which costs some 30 GBP in a shop here costs 117 GBP.

Atmosphere was spectacular with the classical music being in the background and with the creative lighting! I was an half an hour late but I still had one and a half hours to spare. The Afternoon Tea + Champagne set was ordered and each individual sandwich and dessert were delicious! Scones with jam and cream were amazing especially when eaten warm! Re-fills are available for cakes, sandwiches and scones, but you will unlikely get them because the initial ones given will fill your stomachs! Before they served the cakes and sandwiches, a little caviar+egg appetiser was given. Champagne was lovely as well.
Servers were very kind and my personal server made the experience a nice one. A bit of a splurge but worth it! Would love to come back as I found the meal very mouth-watering.

Good experience. Food was excellent but some staff need to get trained. We were served a WRONG starter to start with. Michelin star restaurant? My main steak was served VERTICAL. You can not cut the vertical steak easily. Shame but apart from that everything else was good.

Went for the NYE dinner to the Lecture Room/Library. Found the experience overall quite underwhelming. I thought the restaurant was a bit sterile, and the menu whilst good quality wasn t doing anything new, wasn t very creative. Zero surprises, overpriced for what it was. For three stars I would expect better. I ve certainly eaten in better one and two star restaurants. I wonder how much effort is put into this menu, and how much is just churned out without much thought. Also, for a NYE evening I expected a bit more of an event . If you want a Michelin star dinner in London some better tips would be: Core, Da Terra, Restaurant Story. Have been to each of those and can vouch they are better.

Best tea in London in a trippy, modern setting. The food was excellent, as was the tea selection. Sandwiches and pastries are unlimited, and you'll definitely find your ordering more (especially the chicken and egg sandwiches). Easily and gratefully accommodated my gluten-free wife as well.

A whimsical afternoon tea at Sketch's Pink Gallery...

A whimsical afternoon tea at Sketch's Pink Gallery room, where artworks on the wall feature those of aspiring artists. After ordering, our afternoon treats started with caviar man in pink suit dressing up our eggs and soldiers with a spoonful of caviar each. I also feature here a glimpse of another room if one is keen to get another experience. I personally think the edibles not tasty enough, but the presentations and place worth experiencing once or twice. Quite difficult to get attention from waiters for napkins and bill as the place was very full at peak time. Now, on the subject of bathroom breaks and bathroom photography, apparently, it's a must do at Sketch, where afternoon tea takes on a whimsical note. The egg shaped bathroom pods? Beyond cool! But personally, I think they shouldn't use so many clashing aromas of dyptique candles. Paired with psychadelic lighting, both my mum and I felt quite dizzy during our short time in the bathroom.

Lovely food for a decent price. Went to the regular room and had a pleasant lunch. The place is beautiful and fun. It gave me some old Skool Engeland vibe, but it has also some other rooms with amazing and fun themes. Live music in the pink room and fancy green in the green room. The food was good and the staff is very friendly. The toilets was really fun and unexpected. Had a really good time.

If you like quirky places and crave some pink on your instagram, this is a must go! I admit, I fell in love as the Gallery is absolutely stunning. Serving stuff is very kind and attentive, however slow at times. But if you re in no rush and just want to enjoy your dinner, then that s not an issue. Just need to bear in mind there is a 2 hour time limit for your reservation.
Food was good, though a bit expensive. But that s something you can expect.
After our dinner we moved for a couple of drinks to the bar, which is placed on the opposite side of Gallery room. The serving staff there were very nice, kept on serving more complimentary snacks and water if it was finished (so yes, you will be charged for service there as well). They even made the cocktail for my friends that wasn t on the menu.
Overall, we had a great time and very good experience with Sketch. Thank you for hosting us so well!

I didn t know much about Sketch until I came to London for a short visit with friends. It was a wonderful out-of-this-world-experience that I can recommend for those who want an out-of-the-ordinary afternoon tea while in London.

It is a bit of a posh place but the staff is incredibly welcoming and service minded, so you don t feel very out of place if you aren t used to these kinds of places. We had the pleasure of being waited upon by Cecilia who embodied a warm and hospitable spirit and who went out of her way to make sure we had a great time at Sketch.

All in all a wonderful afternoon was spent at Sketch and I look forward to coming back.

This place is insanely awesome! A must try when in London. Keep in mind to make a reservation otherwise you are not going to get a table. They have seasonal room setup for Glade, don t miss to get a tour to see the Pink Room and especially the restrooms are out of this world.

What can I say.. Words cannot describe how incredible this place is. I only do one visit for fine dining but I'm definitely giving this another visit. Everything was worth it. The decor, service, atmosphere and most importantly the food was just mind blowing! As a vegetarian, I was very impressed with the attention to detail they give to the food, absolutely delicious. Staff were pleasant and made me and my fiance feel extremely comfortable through out. Definitely coming again. (we sat in the library and lecture setting) There is literally nothing I can think of that didn't go well or it could've been better, Everything was just perfect.

Loved Sketch for the setting, the Gallery is amazing, loved David Shrigley s art. Lots of cool things to look at the menu and crockery too. Staff were very friendly and advised on wine and dishes. The food was good overall and interesting presentation but on the expensive side.

The place is absolutely gorgeous and amazing. However the food quantity is super small compared to the price. Very pricey!!! I ve ordered a avocado egg which was 12pounds??? or more and they gave me 3 lettuces, half of an avocado and 2 mini eggs with a ketchup deco on the plate. Also they gave us only 1 Slice if bread for each person lol paid for it too. I had to order more that ended up a big check for a breakfast. Maybe next time for high tea session because each time they are all booked for the pink room. Also now you need to put a deposit to reserve your seats. Imagine with 4 girlfriends about organizing about the bills .

The place is very nice, and has a nice ambience. I came for afternoon tea, and was warmly greeted by staff. Although they don t speak very good English, and being in the location they are in, perhaps having a fluent speaking English server would be ideal as communicating was a bit of a hit and miss. Was seated in the library which didn t contain any books or literature. Tea was beautifully displayed, was nice tasting, but defiantly over priced for what you were served. Enjoyed the toilets more than the actual food, as the toilets are like an egg!

This is a review for the Lecture Room & Library. The atmosphere and the decor is impressive. The staff and their service are very professional.

I have ordered the 7 course tasting menu and the food was very disappointing for a two star Michelin. I am not going to go into details but if you like French fine dining, I am going to recommend you to try Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road.

They cost around the same but the food is so much better.

Very adorable and lovely place. Very kind and helpful staff. Nice vibe. And delicious food except dessert. I chose salad as starter, steak as main course and macaroon and tiramisu as dessert. The salad and steak with french friea were great and yummy. The dessert was good though but it didn't meet the expectation.
Really good for any date, anniversaries and birthday.

Excellent customer service. My friend left her handkerchief on the table messily, and one of the people who work at the restaurant noticed and immediately folded it properly for her. Someone that appeared important asked how we were doing. The food was nice, But not very memorable. It was less about the meal and more about the atmosphere. The cool part was definitely the washrooms!

Great top quality / expensive restaurant for an unusual and memorable dinner with a big caveat (horrible artwork), we had a party of 4 adults of all age groups and one child and we all found them horrible / amateur / pathetic.

Loved - Service, Welcome, Staff, Decor (some), Toilets, Food Choice and Quality. Like the alternative style (apart from the childish 'artwork' images everywhere in the main restaurant). Toilets have the 'wow' factor

Didnt like - 'Alternative' / Horrible artwork (includes some offensive images and words regarding bodily functions) whoever commissioned that should reconsider it as a plain wall would be favourable, we had a 9 year old with us that really didnt like seeing such images and words.

Very disappointed after going for dinner last weekend.
Service was very poor waited over 1.5hrs for our main course after ordering. Waiters were very rude and arrogant. Food was very average. The steak was ruined with the amount of salt on it. 3 people from our party of 4 felt ill afterwards. Decor is quirky and unusual but very basic when you look at it in more detail.
Would not recommend at all

This place was packed! The pink room was fully booked so we took a chance on The Glade Room. Waited for about 30mins (we really wanted to go in). We got seats just as afternoon tea ended (at 6pm). We could still order tea, tapas and cocktails. Great service from their staff. The bathrooms are a must see!

Booked an Afternoon Tea experience here for me and two of my friends. I already knew about the place from Instagram but was still skeptical about the price being double what a usual Afternoon Tea might cost. However I was blown away! It was fabulous! From the walls, to the chairs, to the tea cups and plates, to the toilets!

All three of us had different dietary preferences (Vegan/Pescectarian/Meat Eater) and they managed to cater for us all perfectly! The atmosphere was amazing and service was excellent!

We even had the option to order extra sandwiches/sweets if we wanted! (Which we of course did! Although next time might hold off on the sweet and leave some more room for the slice of cake they bring over at the end!)

The decor is lovely, but there isn't much else. Considering the cost of drinks/food, the cocktails were not particularly special and the service was really lacking. The group of ladies opposite us received a lot of attention from the male waiter, whereas we (two males) received next to no service. It took us a while to even ask for the bill, and whilst taking payment the waiter had a very bad attitude, he didn't even ask if we'd had a nice time.

Yes the toilets are cool and the decor is instagram-worthy, but there are much nicer venues in the area that provide better drinks and much better service.

Took about 1000 pics in the bathroom alone. My friend and I decided to treat ourselves with a luxe high tea and were treated like absolute KWEENS. There was a man in a pink suit solely for serving caviar! Get yourself to Sketch immediately if only to fawn over the perfectly designed staff uniforms.

This place is definitely worth a visit for the decor alone. The artist who's work hangs on the walls is extremely clever, and the lighting is very unique! The bathroom experience is like a trip to outer space, have fun. Food wise (fulfilling) but nothing super out of this world. Overall expect to spend quite a bit of money, time, and be adequately satisfied with your experience.

Ok, initially thought the afternoon tea was quite dear but compared to others we've had, you get a lot of food! Tasted and looked great. We couldn't finish it all so went home with leftovers. Lovely setting and live music. Service was good, staff were really friendly, helpful and didn't rush us.
