I visited the hospital for the first time today for a regular check-up. Due to confusion with another dentist appointment, I had missed my check-up by a few hours. The assistent I spoke with was very understanding and managed to fit my short appointment in a half hour later, and the doctor was also very flexible, kind, and professional. This saved me having to take another day off work and was infinitely better treatment than what I recieved from the dentist's office (who had incorrectly noted my appointment time and caused the confusion in the first place). Thank you!

Last Wednesday I went to the dental surgeon for a short consultation. I would like to say something about this, especially to allow other patients to benefit from it. I had an appointment at 11 am. I immediately went to the desk where 3 ladies were and was promptly called in to take a photo. Then I had to wait until 12.15 before I saw the dental surgeon. That can happen but what I am mainly interested in:
When making an appointment, indicate that it may happen that emergencies come in between. Then indicate at the counter that urgent matters have come in between, as a result of which the appointment is delayed. After half an hour, indicate again how long it will take. I think it is not normal that you wait 5 minutes for an appointment and that while you are waiting you see the 3 ladies chatting, they were certainly not busy. In short, all the time to inform the waiting patients. If I had heard that it would end at 11 am, I would have chosen to come back at another time. It is also important to realize that there are people in the waiting room who are nervous about the procedure that awaits them, not nice if you have to wait a long time. In short: explain, and again, that gives understanding and therefore patience and no angry customers. I only heard it when I asked for it and then got angry because I wanted to know before.
Despite having scheduled an appointment, I found out when arriving at the hospital that my appointment was never made.
They need to make a "clear" description of emergency. It seems, unless you have a smashed face, broken leg, crying child or extreme drama making capacity, you never get treated. They keep allowing other people to go in front of you. I am sure some of the people who had priority did not even have a health problem. After 2.5 hours of waiting we had to leave and call a doctor to the hotel. Worst service, worst treatment ever. So, never dare to get ill in the Netherlands especially if it is a weekend. Or suffer and wait for normal weekdays to come.
Very good hospital, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Appointments are strictly adhered to.

As some have said before, even 1 star is too much. Wrong diagnosis made, result womb unnecessarily removed. We also caught this hospital on incorrect and / or deliberately not mentioning information in medical records.
If your health is dear to you, please choose another hospital. I would not even recommend this hospital for pets.
And no ... the hospital's confidential committee hears or does nothing with complaints.
Both for myself, my husband and my children several times treated in the SFG. Very committed and knowledgeable employees, always a personal approach. Sometimes a waiting time, but that is part of a hospital with emergency care. However, some slowness in the administrative processes, eg when making appointments.

In this hospital I always have a feeling of being unwelcome, a feeling of being afraid to ask for information. I will file the compliant because this is getting out of the control.

I have been treated by various specialists for years and I am very satisfied with it. Everything is explained well and you receive a clear answer to your questions. I have also been hospitalized several times in different wards.
The nursing staff will do their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. DaarentegenIn contrast, "emergency care" has always been a sad experience for me. My crooked foot due to a misdiagnosis. A broken wrist that is poorly set, so I can hardly use my hand anymore. I will not talk about the waiting times.
Poor and worst service. The hospital emergency staff ,which they call as 'help1' kept us waiting for just an ultrasound for about 4 hrs ,my husband was in pain.The doctor came to visit him after 2hrs hence, took us 6 hrs for just an ultrasound to took place.

Transferred from the Erasmus hospital to Sint Franciscus. I was very well looked after for three months by incredibly nice and helpful people. Nothing but praise for treatment and staff. TOP !!

I would like to say something about this hospital, since my wife was admitted here two years ago with a miscarriage.
I want to share this because me and my wife are still traumatized. I no longer dare to take children by the following:
We had already been to the hospital by appointment for a check-up because my wife was pregnant and it turned out the fruit had not grown well so the doctor said you are likely to get a miscarriage this week or next week. Which also happened the following week. At home my wife already lost a lot of blood and was quickly brought to the emergency room (9:00 am). We were brought to a room and after a long wait a doctor came to see us and told us that we were going to try it in a natural way which we already thought strange. That means the body throws everything out itself. Also knowing that my wife has anemia so is dangerous with a lot of blood loss. While a correction was the easy solution. Nevertheless, so much bleed. And weigh meager blood and weight. My wife started to turn pale and I started to worry. Meanwhile at 5 p.m. all day in the hospital and nothing happened. Then she is moved to another room in the evening so I think now they are going to do something happy. No, it is not! bleed empty all evening until I said that something must be done now. Finally, after bleeding in the hospital from 9 am she was finally helped at 11 pm !!!!!!!! Would you think so? No!! She was brought back to her room because someone else had something more important. she seemed to be groaning back and forth, shaking her head. with a blood value of 3.0 (I don't remember the term anymore) So the sisters brought her back because she was just going DEATH !! in the end she received an epidural that she could barely breathe anymore and afterwards was forced to receive treatment by the sisters. I totally in shock and begged that she got better. Fortunately treatment passed and had blood transfusion and it went again. But no, the story is not over yet. When she finally came back, my wife told me that the doctor had become angry with the anestasist that my wife could almost have died. I panic even more and of course my wife too. So I assume after this traumatic experience and also emotionally very hard because she had a miscarriage so she needed me of course I was told that I should go home because only when your wife is pregnant can you stay?!?!
So of course I got angry because I almost saw my wife bleed to death and now I can't even stay with her? While the whole hallway was empty. What a barbaric hospital and heavily unfriendly to women. It has now been two years and when I think about it the only thing that my wife here in this hospital has hardly escaped is death for simple treatment. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone because you are just a number and if you are unlucky you apparently cannot come out alive. Thanks for the trauma Sint Franciscus !! I don't want any more children ........

The only hospital in the Rotterdam region that I still trust is Erasmus.
Acute recorded with appendicitis. Then especially put pressure on to participate in a trial. Sent home without looking at the pathologist's results. Then 1 week later I ended up in Erasmus because I had an abscess. I did not feel seriously taken at the Francis. Frayed. It smelled in the bathroom. The head nurse was complaining. Snapped by another nurse. We were in an acute department and were told to clean up our tray tables ourselves at the end of the day while there were more people who could barely walk.
That said we were also a couple of unwise sweet nurse.
The "club" could also be seen more often chatting in their booth with a telephone in hand than in the rooms themselves. Pressure ??) well no! Hardly any patients could be found in the entire ward.
Never again to Francis.

Ridiculous how the payment of treatments is arranged. 185 for a 15 minute talk. And because it is part of a process, it is also deducted from the deductible of last year. It is a pity that St Francis was not clear about this.

Had been taken to this hospital with the ambulance, while I myself have probably been unconscious. When I woke up the next morning, no information was given to me at all. I did not know where I was, what had been done and what the general intention was. I did not see a doctor until the 2nd day on the ECU ... After 2 days I was allowed to leave, no follow-up, no prognosis for a recovery time and actually still no idea what exactly happened. In addition to being poor service, it does not seem to me particularly good for the reassurance of patients

I had to give birth at the last minute in this hospital. On the 10th floor where the maternity suites are with great views really super received by all the staff. My husband and I were very impressed. Also very nice that your partner can stay the night. The sisters and doctors have a real heart for the people. I noticed this in the tips and support that was given. I had to undergo caesarean section. This also went very well. All doctors and nurses were friendly and provided a lot of information.
After the caesarean section I had to go to the 9th floor, because there is the nursing ward. Unfortunately my husband and I immediately noticed a change in professionalism.
Sister Dominique came to ask me where she could help me. I indicated that I would like to be helped with a shower since I had a caesarean section a day ago. Sister Dominique told me that I had to do that myself, because the next day I would also be discharged from the hospital and then I would have to do it myself. Then she left. And I cried. The birth has not gone the way I wanted, my baby is in the incubator and I can't even get out of bed normally because of the cut in my belly. Sister Dominique has really responded inhumanly. If she had indicated I would like to help you and support you, but try to do something myself then I would have liked that. But this reaction was just so disappointing !!

Later that day, the doctor came to visit with Sister Dominique. She asked me if there was anything else. I indicated that I did not like how nurse Dominique had responded and that I was very sorry and disappointed with the way things were going. The doctor responded that the hospital motivates people as much as possible to be as independent as possible. And I also got hurled at my head that I got 1 extra day from the other doctor, but normally that is not the case. What nonsense!!! If I was assigned an extra day this was apparently necessary and motivating people is done in a positive way with understanding. The recovery of every patient is also different !!! Very disappointing that I get such a response from a young doctor who is probably still in training and has not experienced a birth and has undergone caesarean section !!!
The only thing that has always been said is that you can go to Mother Care after you have been discharged from the hospital. Only it is not clearly stated that the Mother care is maternity care and this maternity care is only for daytime. In the evening and night you are dependent on yourself with your caesarean section !!! There is no maternity care in the evening and night !!!! Too bad that this is so badly arranged. But you just do it so that you can be with your child. Your partner may suddenly also no longer spend the night there. This also really needs to be arranged better.
A real shame that there is so much difference between the 10th and 9th floor !!!

Recently went to the emergency room with a severe stomach and back pain. Must say from the moment I walked into the seh until the moment of my resignation from the zkh I was treated nicely, professionally, kindly and humanely. Unfortunately I don't know all the names but otherwise I would have put them in the spotlight 1 by 1. The acute day care department is top cannot say anything other than very friendly human staff. Margo in particular is a top nurse, 1 who has chosen the profession with heart! The people who work in the ultrasound rooms also do their job! Looking and searching further than just the facts that caused me to discover a kidney stone. Totally something else for which I came to the seh. Craftsmanship and recommend this part of the SFG zkh to everyone.

In 2017, I have been in the gastrointestinal department in this hospital. I had a very good, sweet doctor and nursing was good. And for the lady who brought the food and drinks around an extra star. She did that little bit extra. After that, I was operated in the Vlietland hospital, and all in all, there was good cooperation between these hospitals.
Went to the doctor for abdominal complaints and was referred to this hospital. The email said that the appointment would be in 3 calendar days and that I would be called within 1 working day to confirm the appointment. Then I was not called and I had to call myself. I was then told that in Francis in February there was only room for an abdominal ultrasound and in late January in Schiedam. While I have been walking with these abdominal complaints for more than a week. She told me to call on Monday to see if I could go earlier. I called and seriously stood in the queue for 20 minutes! After the 20 minutes I was fed up and called again in the afternoon, which lasted 10 minutes this time. Also no earlier place for me today. Fortunately, another hospital has taken in immediately and a place for me this week. Thank you Franciscus.

My 1 year old daughter has a fever and on the phone it is said that we should go to the corona department while I am not ill myself. According to the RIVM guideline, babies / children were allowed to come into contact with children / adults. So why the corona department! I resisted not coming to the corona department and the person canceled the appointment and we were not allowed to come. The hospital rules are not related to the rules of the RIVM. The person on the phone was not thinking at all. It was like a cassette tape that gave the same advice over and over again that didn't help me.

MDL department is terrible despite the good care of the nurses, trainees and the ladies of the diet. Department itself is very dirty. The toilets are very dirty. Air conditioning gives many complaints, doctors consult each other. Three weeks of surgery first, then no. Do not take patients' emotions into account. I had a bad experience with this hospital. Every time a big delay (40 minutes waiting for the obstetrician or gynecologist), and then for 5 minutes appointment, in a hurry. Choosing a hospital to give birth is very personal, look out for yourself and do not listen to the comments of other people. What is good for you is not pleasant for someone else. Went there for my wisdom teeth removal. Almost friendly staff (they politely asked me to go wait just after the surgery in another room and did not have one person to check on me, did not ask if I was ok to go home on my own and forgot to give me information about after surgery care.
Also, 3 days after was in an incredible amount of pain at night, called the service, almost had to beg to talk to a nurse/doctor, and then, that person said those words: "I'm sorry you're in pain but I think you're gonna have to endure it."
Went there in the morning and asked for more painkillers, they gave me the same ibuprofen and paracetamol. Can't believe that they didn't even feel the compassion to help me out.

Unfortunately, I did not get further than the appointment center. I first called on 3 October with the department of jaw surgery. I could then make an appointment for a month later. Since I did not know when my prosthesis was ready, I was asked to call back when I knew more about it. I called again on 7 November. They could then make an appointment on December 3rd. My prosthesis is therefore ready. Since there was a lack of clarity about the doctor who was going to treat me and whether it would happen in 1 or 2 times, I was asked to call back 2 weeks later. I then asked very explicitly whether I could make the appointment, this would not be a problem. When I called today I received the announcement that December is already full and no agreements can be made for January. Then I had to call back later ... very sorry. I now have a problem that has been created unnecessarily, just because I did what was asked of me.
