Kevin came out to do my summer maintenance on my AC unit and I couldn't be happier! Very professional, honest, knowledgeable, excellent customer service and he explained everything in detail with pics! My AC unit now runs and sounds excellent! I also had them do my winter maintenance this last year and upon inspection they found an issue, fixed it immediately and the following month I saved $45.00 on my bill! Jorge came to evaluate a funny noise coming from the furnace and immediately not only diagnosed the problem but, in doing so, solved another problem with my geothermal system. He saved me almost $2000
and demonstrated amazing familiarity with a system that I didn t even think was in his realm. Great job!

CROOKS! Absolute crooks. Called for an AC unit not working, came out and checked it, told me I needed a new mother board for $700. They were supposed to order the part and call back to schedule the fix. Waited a week, they NEVER called, so I got a 2nd opinion from the company I should have called the first time. REAL PROBLEM: a popped breaker. Mother board is just fine!. DO NOT EVER CALL SIERRA AIR!!!! Thankful they dropped the ball and didn't call me back.

James called and stated he was ahead of schedule and was available to arrive early. I advised that I was home and he could come early. He arrived approximately 2 hours before scheduled time. James introduced himself. Professional attitude and demeanor. He was very pleasant and explained what he was going to do. I had two issues with to heating units. James explained it thoroughly. Repairs were made. Great service by James.

Outstanding customer and service tech service. Duane; you rock! Awesome follow up service to a rocky start. The first swamp cooler motor that was installed was defective and not Sierra Air's fault. Great warranty service and they even installed a new switch. My swamp cooler is like brand new. If you need help; call and ask for Duane.

First off, this is a grade A company! If quality and expertise are what you're looking for you have found the right place. The level of attention and workmanship is second to none. The upper management really takes care of their employees since every time they come to maintenance our air conditioning unit or furnace (heater) they ALWAYS say amazing things about the management. I have looked into geothermal heating and cooling with them and they were incredibly knowledgeable about the entire operation. Also, we have had them come do duct work cleaning and it's always been done quickly, fairly priced and most importantly serviced correctly.

Post Script: word to the wise, if you see something that needs attention let them know - they are very busy since they do such a good job. So, call and setup and appointment when you think their services are needed whether you're in Reno, Carson City, Fallon, Truckee or Incline Village. Best AC/Heating Company in Reno/Northern NV for sure - no question about it!

What a wonderful company! Our AC unit died on Monday ... the office staff was so friendly and fit us in during a very busy week. Frank arrived promptly, was able to quickly diagnose the issue, was tidy, polite, exceptionally professional and needless to say our unit was back up and running within the hour. (Had parts on board!) I am thrilled and am planning to have them back out this Fall to service our heater. Five stars and a huge THANK YOU!

We needed Sierra Air Conditioning & Heating Geothermal Ground Source Cooling for our new home in arrowcreek Reno. Super impressed with their professionalism and creativity with the project. We had several contractors and ground source companies around northern nevada and Reno and they were for sure the best option. The company has been around since the 1980's and they are here to stay. Any ground source or geothermal systems we need in the future will be done by this company!

Duane was extremely professional. He called when he was coming,
arrived on time, checked and cleaned furnace, and provided a copy of his test report. I recommend Sierra Air for furnace & A/C servicing.

The service techs arrived on time, if not early. They were thorough with the job at hand. They explained everything they were doing and how I can maintain our equipment to keep it working as efficiently as possible. The office/phone staff are very helpful as well, even giving me a discount because I needed two things completed in my home. I definitely recommend Sierra Air.

i can really feel and see the difference in the air quality ( while cleaning the vent by my front door you could the the dirt blow up into the air). I am very pleased with the service.

My wife and I recently moved into a new to us house. The HVAC system is a Carrier brand and had been maintained by Sierra Air. Since they are the only Carrier authorized dealer, we gave them a try. We wanted to update the thermostat in our house. We were looking for one that connected to WiFi.
They scheduled us quite quickly, but sent out the wrong person. They sent out someone that dealt with new installations only. Sierra Air was able to get the correct person out to our house the next day, with a $90 service fee. When this technician came he was quite knowledgeable. He took a look at our current system to give us an idea of what we would need to update our system. While unscrewing the various parts of the unit, he kept dropping and losing the screws. He told us he would get back to us within a week with a proposal. That was in May, it is now September. After trying to contact Sierra Air via multiple phone calls and emails, we still have not heard back from them.

They seem to be too big to help out the little people. Definitely would not recommend!

Sierra Air is the best we EVER encountered. We just purchased an 11 year old home. It had gone thru 3 prior owners. We were pretty sure our ducts had never been cleaned. Pets were also part of the families who had lived here before........we have dander and dust allergies big time. Lovely home that needed some tlc. Wow! Did this house get TLC! The technicians arrived right on time and got right to work. Professional, friendly, very good at explaining and were proud of the end result. Jason K. and Michael T. were technicians highly trained in duct cleaning. This is no job for someone who is not trained and certified. It's technical and they knew what they were doing. It took a while but when they were finished they cleaned and vacuumed to put everything perfect. We also had our furnaces checked for Winter. Rigo R. was just like his associates. Properly trained and certified and Sierra Air's technicians are honest brokers. Rigo said our furnace looked great and should operate efficiently for the cold days ahead. He reminded us to change our filters regularly for optimum operation and to extend the life of the furnace system. We couldn't be more pleased with the time these professionals took to explain the process, what they saw and the pride they took in doing a professional job. Without a doubt, we will return to Sierra Air for our heating and a/c needs. OH!!! They also cleaned the laundry venting. OMG! I know it's important to clean the dryer filter but this is something that should be professionally cleaned every now and then. Couldn't believe what they got out of there. Old sales tags, pet/human hair, gross stuff and dirt, dirt and more dirt. DEFINITELY avoid fires with a good vent cleaning! So glad we can breathe easier and enjoy a clean and clear environment. Technician Matt was on time and exceeded my expectations for service and explanations of how he was servicing my heater. He was able to squeeze me in, as he was near the Tahoe Donner area that morning.
A fair price for his work and a detailed summation was on the invoice. As a very satisfied customer, from my dealings with Matt, I would highly recommend this company for heating and AC work.

Sierra Air is wonderful! They found the problem with my air conditioning unit after I have been listening to it whine and moan when the weather got hot for 8 years. And one of their technicians didn't charge me when he kept coming to my house to hear the noise for himself, and it wouldn't perform for him! Finally, he was able to get the house when it was performing and he and his partner figured out what the problem was and fixed it! I love them!

Highly rated because they respond so quickly. In the hottest part of the summer when our A/C went out, they were at our house the same day and impressed us with how soon they solved our cooling problems.

Don t let their silly television commercials fool you! We made an appointment with someone from their designing division for a free quote and to say that we were impressed is an understatement. Will was sent to our home and he answered all our questions in a manner that was easy to understand including the potential cost savings related to the proposed solutions. I have no desire to seek out a second opinion after speaking to this representative from Sierra Air who demonstrated the patience we needed to understand the situation and operational limitations involved in our mechanism. Will has an engineering degree and his knowledge and expertise was obvious and impressive but to be able to speak to someone down to earth who understood the pros and cons associated with making the decision to invest was the best part about our appointment. This in itself sold us and although we have just been handed the quote for consideration, there is no question that this company exercises high ethical standards and they will be the only individuals that we want to do the job: Thank you Sierra Air for the positive example that I m proud to share publicly with others in the community.

James made sure that my husband and I both knew issues that could arise from a 20 year old heater that we have. Gave us some options to think about for the future. Made sure the furnace was working properly before he left.

I made an mistake on my count of vents and they honored my phone quote. On top of that there technician Anthony was great. He knows his stuff and is very respectful of your property and pets.

They two men were good and repair the heater quickly.
But my wife was very mad with one of the men, because he use her personal toilet and move her thing around. If they needed to use a toilet they should ask us like all the work men that have been here. and we would have told him to use the one at the front of the house near the front door. I would have given them a five star if they had use the toilet with out asking first.

Have the Comfort Club program on several homes. Left a message for them to call me about a charge at one of the rentals. Still no call after 4 days. They don't tell you to change/clean the filters because they will do that ever 6 month, but when the filters get saturated after a month, they charge $164 to come clean them and tell you that's normal. Obviously this plan doesn't work!

Update.
About 10 days later they called and said they would adjust the charge, which I can accept. Not sure if it took this review to get them to call back, but at least they did finally call and did the right thing.

Wow! I can't say enough about Sierra air. I previously called another HVAC company and they told me they couldn't get to me for 3 weeks. so I called Sierra air and the lady that answered the phone was so nice and told me that she could have a tech to my home the next day. Then I got a call later on in the day the same lady saying that she was able to get a tech out today if I wanted. Dago was fantastic very nice super knowledgeable and very genuine. He had my system fixed in a matter of minutes somewhere in the control panel he found a loose wire. I got to tell you I've been in Nevada now for three years and it was one of the best experiences I've had so far. And I will definitely be calling Sierra air for all my future needs. Frank was awesome. Our air conditioner stopped working on a Saturday and he came out right away and got it up and running in under an hour. Terrific service and will definitely use them again!

Sierra was great! Kevin tunes up my furnace in a timely manner. He was very friendly and personable during the service and we chatted about things as he worked on my furnace. As a first time homeowner I know very little about the mechanics of my home, Kevin was very helpful with information on my furnace and how it operates. James was great but i was uncomfortable the entire next day because his trainee turned off the toggle switch to the gas after my maintenance check. You could of sent someone out sooner the next day.New guys (James) training is not good business.

I called Sierra Air after being left feeling less than confident with another company s performance and recommendations. Dwayne performed the service call and was very knowledgeable and took his time to test all parts of the A/C unit, in addition to explaining the findings in a detailed manner.
