Attended for musical event at Maja Prentice Theatre. The place was well organized and clean. Its small theatre which can hold art 100 -150 audience. This place has enough parking and washrooms are really cleaned and well maintained. No food or drinks allowed inside the theatre, which is good.

Excellent production. Theatre itself, and its facility management staff were awful. Temperature inside the show slowly crept from comfortable to unbearable by the intermission. When speaking with the building representative (he locks up at night) to ask that they lower the thermostat, he only had a long list of well prepared excuses of how he couldn't do anything. Things did not get better for the second half. Mississauga should be embarrassed that they have such a fantastic facility, run by such incompetence.

A very nice mid-sized theatre. As an audience member, the seats are fairly comfortable, there is no bad seat in the house; clear sight lines from everywhere, the front of house staff are friendly and helpful, the seats are fairly comfortable, and it is very clean and has been well maintained. From the perspective of a performer, the backstage area is roomy with well-lit makeup areas, there are comfortable rooms in which to change, and there is ample storage space for wardrobe and props. My only issue whatsoever with this theatre is that there are only four wheelchair "seats" in the house. For a theatre with a capacity of about 200 I would expect for there to be more. Otherwise a really great space in which a multitude of community groups perform.

We recently booked this theatre for a recital and we were extremely disappointed with the amount of restrictions and hidden fees they surprise you with on the day of. We`ve booked countless events at other theatres in Toronto that were cheaper and much easier to work with. Here are some of the most frustrating parts of our experience that we wish we had known about before. Hopefully this helps others make a more informed decision about your performance venue.

Firstly, we paid a lot to have our event professionally photographed and videographed, and both the photographer and videographer were limited to standing in one place the entire night without being able to move around to do what they were paid for. What kind of theatre doesn`t allow the photographer to move around to take pictures?? Everything we got back from the photographer and videographer was just a straight-on boring repeat again and again. Everytime they tried to move around, the supervisor told them they were violating fire hazards. We told them in advance that we would have professionals photographing and taking video and we still faced this issue. What a disappointment.

Secondly, the equipment at the theatre itself was completely unreliable. Part way through the show, the headset to communicate with the technician stopped working and then we had to run back and forth to be able to communicate when to play the music. What made this even worse, all of the doors, including the theatre doors lock automatically so we had station someone at every single door throughout the performance to make sure all of our backstage helpers weren't locked out. If you want the speakers in the dressing room to work, apparently you have to request that as well.

There are a ton of restrictions around food. They don't have a projector or a screen. You can only use the technicians provided by the theatre. While the girls were changing in the dressing room the supervisor interrupted to bring other people into the room as part of a tour.

Beware and do your research before booking this venue.

I attended a musical program on Saturday 23rd July 2016. Because it was a musical program and I was the MC there, and I found that the audio system was not up to the standard. Quality of sound was pretty bad, musicians sound was also not appropriate. I was very disappointed by that and hope it will be fixed in future.

The theatre is on the smaller side and it feels rather stuffy inside. There are no debit machines at the Box Office, which I'm aware is hard to put in place as people rent the space instead, but it is rather inconvenient to have to go elsewhere to look for an ATM machine as there is none on premises. Inside, the sound is dry with no reverbe in the place. I watched two singing shows in there and both groups had the same issue. The theatre would be perfect for drama productions, but certainly not music. The sound guy was not up to par on both occasions (not sure if it was the same person) and some mics were lower than others, some were hard to hear, and some instruments were lower than others. All in all, I would not be going back there for a 3rd time unless it was for a small play or something that doesn't include music.

Very cosy and intimate. You can see and hear everything no matter what your seat is.

It's a good, compact space for small shows and performances. Loved performing at the stage. You feel more connected to the audience because you're closer to everyone physically as well. The staff was nice too!
